Thawāb (ثَوَابَ) –

Rewards for doing Good

In the Holy Quran:

وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَنْ تَمُوتَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ كِتَابًا مُؤَجَّلًا ۗ وَمَنْ يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا وَمَنْ يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ الْآخِرَةِ نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا ۚ وَسَنَجْزِي الشَّاكِرِينَ {145}

And it was not for a soul that it should be dying except by the Permission of Allah, being an Ordained term; and the one who wants ‘ثَوَابَ’ Rewards of the world, We shall Give him from it, and the one who wants Rewards of the Hereafter, We shall Give him from it, and We will be Rewarding the grateful [3:145]
