At-Takathur

أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ

Al haaku mut takathur

The augmentation diverts you (from Allah)

حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ

Hatta zurtumul-maqaabir

Until you visit the graves

كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ

Kalla sawfa ta'lamoon

Nevertheless! You will soon come to know

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ

Thumma kalla sawfa ta'lamoon

Once more! You will soon come to know

كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ

Kalla law ta'lamoona 'ilmal yaqeen

Of course! If you had realised with absolute certainty

لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ

Latara-wun nal jaheem

You would be seeing the Blazing Fire

ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ

Thumma latara wunnaha 'ainal yaqeen

Then, you would be seeing it with the certainty of eye

ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

Thumma latus alunna yauma-izin 'anin na'eem

Then you will be Questioned on that Day about the bounties
