بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

كٓهيعٓصٓ

Kaaaf-Haa-Yaa-'Ayyyn-Saaad

Kaf Ha Ya Ayn Suad

19:2

ذِكْرُ رَحْمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبْدَهُۥ زَكَرِيَّآ

Zikru rahmati Rabbika 'abdahoo Zakariyya

Mention the Mercy of your Lord unto His servant Zakariyya

19:3

إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ نِدَآءً خَفِيًّا

Iz naadaa Rabbahoo nidaaa'an khafiyyaa

When he called out to his Lord, a secretive calling

19:4

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى وَهَنَ ٱلْعَظْمُ مِنِّى وَٱشْتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأْسُ شَيْبًا وَلَمْ أَكُنۢ بِدُعَآئِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّا

Qaala Rabbi innee wahanal 'azmu minnee washta 'alar ra'su shaibanw wa lam akun bidu'aaa'ika Rabbi shaqiyyaa

He said: ‘My Lord! Surely the bones have weakened from me, and the head shines with grey hair, and I have not been unfortunate in my supplication You, Lord!’

19:5

وَإِنِّى خِفْتُ ٱلْمَوَٰلِىَ مِن وَرَآءِى وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًا فَهَبْ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا

Wa innee khiftul mawaaliya minw waraaa'ee wa kaanat imra atee 'aqiran fa hablee mil ladunka waliyyaa

And I fear my successors from after me, and my wife is barren, therefore Grant me an heir from You

19:6

يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنْ ءَالِ يَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَٱجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا

Yarisunee wa yarisu min aali Ya'qoob, waj'alhu Rabbi radiyya

Who would inherit me and inherit from the Progeny of Yaqoub, and Make him, my Lord, the one whom You are well Pleased with’

19:7

يَـٰزَكَرِيَّآ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَـٰمٍ ٱسْمُهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ لَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ سَمِيًّا

Yaa Zakariyyaaa innaa nubashshiruka bi ghulaamin ismuhoo Yahyaa lam naj'al lahoo min qablu samiyyaa

(The Angel said): ‘O Zakariyya! We Give you glad tidings of a boy whose name shall be Yahya. We have not Made it to be a name from before (for anyone else)’

19:8

قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَـٰمٌ وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًا وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ ٱلْكِبَرِ عِتِيًّا

Qaala Rabbi annaa yakoonu lee ghulaamunw wakaanat imra atee 'aaqiranw wa qad balaghtu minal kibari 'itiyyaa

He said: “Lord! How can there happen to be a son for me and my wife was sterile, and I have reached infirmity from old age?’

19:9

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْـًٔا

Qaala kazaalika qaala Rabbuka huwa 'alaiya haiyinunw wa qad khalaqtuka min qablu wa lam taku shai'aa

He said: ‘Like that (it shall be). Your Lord Says: “It is easy upon Me, and I have Created you from before and you were not a thing”

19:10

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجْعَل لِّىٓ ءَايَةً ۚ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَـٰثَ لَيَالٍ سَوِيًّا

Qaala Rabbij 'al leee Aayah; qaala Aayatuka allaa tukalliman naasa salaasa layaalin sawiyyaa

He said: ‘Lord! Make a Sign to be for me!’ He Said: “Your Sign is, you will not speak to the people for three consecutive nights”

19:11

فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ أَن سَبِّحُوا۟ بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا

Fakharaja 'alaa qawmihee minal mihraabi fa-awhaaa ilaihim an sabbihoo bukratanw wa 'ashiyyaa

So, he went out to his people from the prayer niche, and he revealed to them that they should be Glorifying (Allah) morning and evening

19:12

يَـٰيَحْيَىٰ خُذِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ بِقُوَّةٍ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ ٱلْحُكْمَ صَبِيًّا

Yaa Yahyaa khuzil Kitaaba biquwwatinw wa aatainaahul hukma sabiyyaa

“O Yahya! Grab the Book with strength”; and We Gave him the Wisdom as a boy

19:13

وَحَنَانًا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَوٰةً ۖ وَكَانَ تَقِيًّا

Wa hanaanam mil ladunnaa wa zakaatanw wa kaana taqiyyaa

And tenderness from Us and purity, and he was pious

19:14

وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّا

Wa barram biwaalidayhi wa lam yakum jabbaaran 'asiyyaa

And rightful with his parents, and he was not insolent, disobedient

19:15

وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَيًّا

Wa salaamun 'alaihi yawma wulida wa yawma yamootu wa yawma yub'asu haiyyaa

And peace be on him on the day he was born, and on the day he died, and on the day he would be Resurrected alive

19:16

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَكَانًا شَرْقِيًّا

Wazkur fil Kitaabi Maryma; izin tabazat min ahlihaa makaanan sharqiyyaa

And mention Maryam in the book when she withdrew from her family to an eastern place

19:17

فَٱتَّخَذَتْ مِن دُونِهِمْ حِجَابًا فَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرًا سَوِيًّا

Fattakhazat min doonihim hijaaban fa arsalnaaa ilaihaa roohanaa fatamassala lahaa basharan sawiyyaa

So, she took a veil from besides them. Then We Sent Our Spirit to her. He was resembled to her as a complete man

19:18

قَالَتْ إِنِّىٓ أَعُوذُ بِٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِيًّا

Qaalat inneee a'oozu bir Rahmaani minka in kunta taqiyyaa

She said: ‘I seek Refuge with the Beneficent from you, if you were pious’

19:19

قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَـٰمًا زَكِيًّا

Qaala innamaa ana rasoolu Rabbiki li ahaba laki ghulaaman zakiyyaa

He said: ‘But rather, I am a Messenger of your Lord to Endow to you a pure boy

19:20

قَالَتْ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَـٰمٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِى بَشَرٌ وَلَمْ أَكُ بَغِيًّا

Qaalat anna yakoonu lee ghulaamunw wa lam yamsasnee bashrunw wa lam aku baghiyyaa

She said: ‘How can there happen to be a boy for me and no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?’

19:21

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌ ۖ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُۥٓ ءَايَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةً مِّنَّا ۚ وَكَانَ أَمْرًا مَّقْضِيًّا

Qaala kazaaliki qaala Rabbuki huwa 'alaiya haiyimunw wa linaj 'alahooo Aayatal linnaasi wa rahmatam minnaa; wa kaana amram maqdiyyaa

He said: ‘Like that your Lord Said: “It is easy unto Me, and We will Make him to be a Sign for the people and a Mercy from Us”. And it was a matter Ordained

19:22

۞ فَحَمَلَتْهُ فَٱنتَبَذَتْ بِهِۦ مَكَانًا قَصِيًّا

Fahamalat hu fantabazat bihee makaanan qasiyyaa

So, she bore him, then she withdrew with him to a remote place

19:23

فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلْمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ قَالَتْ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى مِتُّ قَبْلَ هَـٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسْيًا مَّنسِيًّا

Fa ajaaa 'ahal makhaadu ilaa jiz'in nakhlati qaalat yaa laitanee mittu qabla haazaa wa kuntu nasyam mansiyyaa

Then the (pangs of) labour brought her to the palm trunk. She said: ‘I wish I had died before this, and was completely forgotten!’

19:24

فَنَادَىٰهَا مِن تَحْتِهَآ أَلَّا تَحْزَنِى قَدْ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحْتَكِ سَرِيًّا

Fanaadaahaa min tahtihaaa allaa tahzanee qad ja'ala Rabbuki tahtaki sariyyaa

So, he (the child) called out to her from beneath her: ‘Do not grieve! Your Lord has Made a stream (to flow) beneath you’

19:25

وَهُزِّىٓ إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ تُسَـٰقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًا جَنِيًّا

Wa huzzeee ilaiki bijiz 'in nakhlati tusaaqit 'alaiki rutaban janiyyaa

And shake towards you the palm trunk, it would drop upon you ripe dates

19:26

فَكُلِى وَٱشْرَبِى وَقَرِّى عَيْنًا ۖ فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ ٱلْبَشَرِ أَحَدًا فَقُولِىٓ إِنِّى نَذَرْتُ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ صَوْمًا فَلَنْ أُكَلِّمَ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِنسِيًّا

Fakulee washrabee wa qarree 'ainaa; fa immaa tarayinnna minal bashari ahadan faqooleee innee nazartu lir Rahmaani sawman falan ukallimal yawma insiyyaa

So, eat and drink and refresh the eyes. Then if you see anyone from the human beings, then say: ‘I vowed to the Beneficent a Fast, so I will never speak today to a human’

19:27

فَأَتَتْ بِهِۦ قَوْمَهَا تَحْمِلُهُۥ ۖ قَالُوا۟ يَـٰمَرْيَمُ لَقَدْ جِئْتِ شَيْـًٔا فَرِيًّا

Fa atat bihee qawmahaa tahmiluhoo qaaloo yaa Maryamoo laqad ji'ti shai'an fariyyaa

And she came with him to her people, carrying him. They said, ‘O Maryam! You have come with an amazing thing

19:28

يَـٰٓأُخْتَ هَـٰرُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ ٱمْرَأَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّا

Yaaa ukhta Haaroona maa kaana abookimra'a saw'inw wa maa kaanat ummuki baghiyyaa

O sister of Haroun! Your father was not a bad man, nor was your mother unchaste’

19:29

فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَيْهِ ۖ قَالُوا۟ كَيْفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَن كَانَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ صَبِيًّا

Fa ashaarat ilaih; qaaloo kaifa nukallimu man kaana fil mahdi sabiyyaa

So, she gestured towards him. They said, ‘How can we speak to one who was a child in the cradle?’

19:30

قَالَ إِنِّى عَبْدُ ٱللَّهِ ءَاتَىٰنِىَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَجَعَلَنِى نَبِيًّا

Qaala innee 'abdullaahi aataaniyal Kitaaba wa ja'alanee Nabiyyaa

He said: ‘I am a servant of Allah; He Gave me the Book and Made me a Prophet

19:31

وَجَعَلَنِى مُبَارَكًا أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُ وَأَوْصَـٰنِى بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ مَا دُمْتُ حَيًّا

Wa ja'alanee mubaarakan aina maa kuntu wa awsaanee bis Salaati waz Zakaati maa dumtu haiyaa

And He has Made me Blessed wherever I may be, and He has Enjoined upon me with the Salat and the Zakat for as long as I live

19:32

وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَتِى وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِى جَبَّارًا شَقِيًّا

Wa barram biwaalidatee wa lam yaj'alnee jabbaaran shaqiyyaa

And righteousness with my mother, and did not Make me tyrannous, wretched

19:33

وَٱلسَّلَـٰمُ عَلَىَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدتُّ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّا

Wassalaamu 'alaiya yawma wulidtu wa yawma amootu wa yawma ub'asu haiyaa

And the Peace was upon me on the day I was born, and on the day I die, and on the day I am Resurrected alive

19:34

ذَٰلِكَ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۚ قَوْلَ ٱلْحَقِّ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ

Zaalika 'Eesab-nu Maryama; qawlal haqqil lazee feehi yamtaroon

That is Isa, son of Maryam. The truthful words which they are disputing in

19:35

مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٍ ۖ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥٓ ۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ

Maa kaana lillaahi ai yattakhiza minw waladin Subhaanah; izaa qadaaa amran fa innamaa yaqoolu lahoo kun fa yakoon

It was not for Allah that He should Take a son; Glorious is He. Whenever He Decrees a matter, He says to it "Be," so it comes into being

19:36

وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ

Wa innal laaha Rabbee wa Rabbukum fa'budooh; haazaa Siraatum Mustaqeem

And surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore worship Him. This is the Straight Path

19:37

فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن مَّشْهَدِ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ

Fakhtalafal ahzaabu min bainihim fawailul lillazeena kafaroo min mashhadi Yawmin 'azeem

But the parties disagreed from between them, so woe be unto those who commit Kufr from being present on a Great Day

19:38

أَسْمِعْ بِهِمْ وَأَبْصِرْ يَوْمَ يَأْتُونَنَا ۖ لَـٰكِنِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ

Asmi' bihim wa absir Yawma ya'toonanaa laakiniz zaalimoonal yawma fee dalaalin mubeen

Hear them and see on the Day they come to Us! But today, the unjust ones are in manifest error

19:39

وَأَنذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Wa anzirhum Yawmal hasrati iz qudiyal amr; wa hum fee ghaflatinw wa hum laa yu'minoon

And warn them of the Day of Regret, when the matter would have been Decided; and they are (now) in negligence and they are not believing

19:40

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ

Innaa nahnu narisul arda wa man 'alaihaa wa ilainaa yurja'oon

Surely, We would Inherit the earth and the ones upon it, and to Us they shall be returning

19:41

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَّبِيًّا

Wazkur fil Kitaabi Ibraaheem; innahoo kaana siddeeqan Nabiyyaa

And mention Ibrahim in the Book. He was truthful, a Prophet

19:42

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ لِمَ تَعْبُدُ مَا لَا يَسْمَعُ وَلَا يُبْصِرُ وَلَا يُغْنِى عَنكَ شَيْـًٔا

Iz qaala li abeehi yaaa abati lima ta'budu maa laa yasma'u wa laa yubsiru wa laa yughnee 'anka shai'aa

When he said to his father: ‘O father! Why do you worship what neither hears nor sees, nor does it avail you of anything?’

19:43

يَـٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّى قَدْ جَآءَنِى مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ مَا لَمْ يَأْتِكَ فَٱتَّبِعْنِىٓ أَهْدِكَ صِرَٰطًا سَوِيًّا

Yaaa abati innee qad jaaa'anee minal 'ilmi maa lam ya'tika fattabi'neee ahdika siraatan Sawiyyaa

O father! Surely there has come to me from the knowledge of what has not come to you, therefore follow me, I will guide you to an even path

19:44

يَـٰٓأَبَتِ لَا تَعْبُدِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَصِيًّا

Yaaa abati laa ta'budish Shaitaan; innash Shaitaana kaana lir Rahmaani 'asiyyaa

O father! Do not worship the Satan. Surely, the Satan was disobedient to the Beneficent

19:45

يَـٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يَمَسَّكَ عَذَابٌ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ فَتَكُونَ لِلشَّيْطَـٰنِ وَلِيًّا

Yaaa abati innee akhaafu ai yamassaka 'azaabum minar Rahmaani fatakoona lish Shaitaani waliyyaa

O father! I fear that a Punishment from the Beneficent may touch you and you would become a friend of the Satan’

19:46

قَالَ أَرَاغِبٌ أَنتَ عَنْ ءَالِهَتِى يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ ۖ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ لَأَرْجُمَنَّكَ ۖ وَٱهْجُرْنِى مَلِيًّا

Qaala araaghibun anta 'an aalihatee yaaa Ibraaheemu la 'il lam tantahi la arjumannaka wahjurnee maliyyaa

He said, ‘Do you hate my gods, O Ibrahim? If you don’t stop, I will stone you, and leave me alone for a while’

19:47

قَالَ سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَيْكَ ۖ سَأَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكَ رَبِّىٓ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ بِى حَفِيًّا

Qaala salaamun 'alaika sa astaghfiru laka Rabbeee innahoo kaana bee hafiyyaa

He said, Peace be on you! I shall seek Forgiveness of my Lord for you. He has always been Affectionate with me

19:48

وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ وَمَا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَدْعُوا۟ رَبِّى عَسَىٰٓ أَلَّآ أَكُونَ بِدُعَآءِ رَبِّى شَقِيًّا

Wa a'tazilukum wa maa tad'oona min doonil laahi wa ad'oo Rabbee 'asaaa allaaa akoona bidu'aaa'i Rabbee shaqiyyaa

And I will withdraw from you and what you call on besides Allah, and I will call upon my Lord, perhaps I shall not become unfortunate in supplicating to my Lord’

19:49

فَلَمَّا ٱعْتَزَلَهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَـٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا نَبِيًّا

Fa lam ma'tazalahum wa maa ya'budoona min doonil laahi wahabnaa lahoo is-haaqa wa ya'qoob; wa kullan ja'alnaa Nabiyyaa

So, when he withdrew from them and what they were worshipping besides Allah, We Endowed to him Is’haq and Yaqoub, and each one of them We Made a Prophet

19:50

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِنَا وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ عَلِيًّا

Wa wahabnaa lahum mirrahmatinaa wa ja'alnaa lahum lisaana sidqin 'aliyyaa

And We Endowed to them from Our Mercy, and We Made for them a truthful tongue of Ali

19:51

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ مُوسَىٰٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مُخْلَصًا وَكَانَ رَسُولًا نَّبِيًّا

Wazkur fil Kitaabi Moosaaa; innahoo kaana mukhlasanw wa kaana Rasoolan Nabiyyaa

And mention Musa in the Book; he was sincere, and he was a Rasool, a Prophet

19:52

وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُ مِن جَانِبِ ٱلطُّورِ ٱلْأَيْمَنِ وَقَرَّبْنَـٰهُ نَجِيًّا

Wa naadainaahu min jaanibit Tooril aimani wa qarrabnaahu najiyyaa

And We Called to him from the right side of the (mount) Toor, and We Drew him closer, whispering

19:53

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ مِن رَّحْمَتِنَآ أَخَاهُ هَـٰرُونَ نَبِيًّا

Wa wahabnaa lahoo mir rahmatinaaa akhaahu Haaroona Nabiyyaa

And We Gifted to him from Our Mercy, his brother Haroun, a Prophet

19:54

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ إِسْمَـٰعِيلَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صَادِقَ ٱلْوَعْدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولًا نَّبِيًّا

Wazkur fil Kitaabi ismaa'eel; innahoo kaana saadiqal wa'di wa kaana Rasoolan Nabiyyaa

And mention Ismail in the Book. He was truthful of the promise, and he was a Rasool, a Prophet

19:55

وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُۥ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ مَرْضِيًّا

Wa kaana ya'muru ahlahoo bis Salaati waz zakaati wa kaana 'inda Rabbihee mardiyyaa

And he enjoined his family with the Salat and the Zakat, and he was well Pleased with in the Presence of his Lord

19:56

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ إِدْرِيسَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَّبِيًّا

Wazkur fil Kitaabi Idrees; innahoo kaana siddeeqan Nabiyyaa

And mention Idrees in the Book. He was truthful, a Prophet

19:57

وَرَفَعْنَـٰهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا

Wa rafa'naahu makaanan 'aliyyaa

And We Elevated him to a high place

19:58

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ ءَادَمَ وَمِمَّنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَمِمَّنْ هَدَيْنَا وَٱجْتَبَيْنَآ ۚ إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ خَرُّوا۟ سُجَّدًا وَبُكِيًّا ۩

Ulaaa'ikal lazeena an'amal laahu 'alaihim minan Nabiyyeena min zurriyyati Aadama wa mimman hamalnaa ma'a Noohinw wa min zurriyyati Ibraaheema wa Israaa'eela wa mimman hadainaa wajta bainaaa; izaa tutlaa 'alaihim Aayaatur Rahmaani kharroo sujjadanw wa bukiyyaa (make sajda)

They are those whom Allah Favoured upon, from the Prophets from the offspring of Adam and from the ones We Carried along with Noah, and from the offspring of Ibrahim and Israeel, and from the one We Guided and Chose. When the Verses of the Beneficent are recited unto them, they fall down in Sajdah, crying

19:59

۞ فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا

Fakhalafa min ba'dihim khalfun adaa'us Salaata wattaba'ush shahawaati fasawfa yalqawna ghaiyyaa

Then there succeeded from after them a succeeding (generation) who wasted the Salat and followed the lustful desires, so they will soon be facing Ghayya

19:60

إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًا فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْـًٔا

Illaa man taaba wa aamana wa 'amila saalihan fa ulaaa'ika yadkhuloonal jannata wa laa yuzlamoona shai'aa

Except one who repents and believes and does righteous deeds, so they would be entering the Paradise and they will not be wronged of anything

19:61

جَنَّـٰتِ عَدْنٍ ٱلَّتِى وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ عِبَادَهُۥ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ وَعْدُهُۥ مَأْتِيًّا

Jannaati 'adninil latee wa'adar Rahmaanu ibaadahoo bilghaib; innahoo kaana wa'duhoo ma'tiyyaa

The Gardens of Eden which the Beneficent has Promised to His servants, in the unseen. Surely, His Promise would always be coming (to fulfilment)

19:62

لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا إِلَّا سَلَـٰمًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ رِزْقُهُمْ فِيهَا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا

Laa yasma'oona feehaa laghwan illaa salaamaa; wa lahum rizquhum feehaa bukratanw wa 'ashiyyaa

They shall not be hearing vanities therein except ‘سَلَامًا’ (Peace), and for them would be their sustenance therein morning and evening

19:63

تِلْكَ ٱلْجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِى نُورِثُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا مَن كَانَ تَقِيًّا

Tilkal jannatul latee noorisu min 'ibaadinaa man kaana taqiyyaa

That is the Paradise, which We shall Offer to those of Our servants to inherit, who were pious

19:64

وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلَّا بِأَمْرِ رَبِّكَ ۖ لَهُۥ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا وَمَا خَلْفَنَا وَمَا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيًّا

Wa maa natanazzalu illaa bi amri Rabbika lahoo maa baina aideenaa wa maa khalfanaa wa maa baina zaalik; wa maa kaana Rabbuka nasiyyaa

And we (Angels) do not descend except by the Command of your Lord; for Him is what is in front of us and what is behind us and whatever is between that; and your Lord was not forgetful

19:65

رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَٱعْبُدْهُ وَٱصْطَبِرْ لِعِبَـٰدَتِهِۦ ۚ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ لَهُۥ سَمِيًّا

Rabbus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa fa'bud hu wastabir li'ibaadatih; hal ta'lamu lahoo samiyyaa

The Lord of the skies and the earth and whatever is between the two. Therefore, worship Him and persevere in His worship. Do you know for him a (similar) Name?

19:66

وَيَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَءِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوْفَ أُخْرَجُ حَيًّا

Wa yaqoolul insaanu 'a izaa maa mittu lasawfa ukhraju haiyaa

And the human being is saying: ‘What! When I am dead I shall soon be Brought forth alive?’

19:67

أَوَلَا يَذْكُرُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ يَكُ شَيْـًٔا

A wa laa yazkurul insaanu annaa khalaqnaahu min qablu wa lam yaku shai'aa

Or does not the human being remember that We Created him before, and he was nothing?

19:68

فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ وَٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَ ثُمَّ لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ حَوْلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيًّا

Fawa Rabbika lanahshu rannahum wash shayaateena summa lanuhdirannahum hawla jahannama jisiyyaa

So, by your Lord! We will Gather them together and the Satans, then We will Present them kneeling around Hell

19:69

ثُمَّ لَنَنزِعَنَّ مِن كُلِّ شِيعَةٍ أَيُّهُمْ أَشَدُّ عَلَى ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عِتِيًّا

Summa lanan zi'anna min kulli shee'atin aiyuhum ashaddu 'alar Rahmaani 'itiyyaa

Then We will Remove from every sect, whichever of them was the most intensely rebellious against the Beneficent

19:70

ثُمَّ لَنَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِهَا صِلِيًّا

Summa lanahnu a'lamu billazeena hum awlaa bihaa siliyyaa

Then We are more Knowing with those who are the foremost with it of being burnt

19:71

وَإِن مِّنكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا ۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ حَتْمًا مَّقْضِيًّا

Wa in minkum illaa waariduhaa; kaana 'alaa Rabbika hatmam maqziyyaa

And there is not one of you but shall pass over it. This was an Ordained Decree upon your Lord

19:72

ثُمَّ نُنَجِّى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّنَذَرُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا

Summa nunajjil lazeenat taqaw wa nazaruz zaalimeena feehaa jisiyyaa

Then We will Rescue those who are pious, and We will Leave the unjust ones kneeling therein

19:73

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتُنَا بَيِّنَـٰتٍ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَىُّ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ خَيْرٌ مَّقَامًا وَأَحْسَنُ نَدِيًّا

Wa izaa tutlaa 'alaihim Aayaatunaa baiyinaatin qaalal lazeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanooo aiyul fareeqaini khairum maqaamanw wa ahsanu nadiyyaa

And when Our clear Verses are recited unto them, those who commit Kufr say to those who believe, ‘Which of the two groups is better in position and best in assembly?’

19:74

وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَـٰثًا وَرِءْيًا

Wa kam ahlaknaa qablahum min qarnin hum ahsanu asaasanw wa ri'yaa

And how many of the generations have We Destroyed before them? They were better equipped and in appearance

19:75

قُلْ مَن كَانَ فِى ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ مَدًّا ۚ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوْا۟ مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا ٱلْعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضْعَفُ جُندًا

Qul man kaana fidda laalati falyamdud lahur Rahmaanu maddaa; hattaaa izaa ra aw maa yoo'adoona immal 'azaaba wa immas Saa'ata fasa ya'lamoona man huwa sharrum makaananw wa ad'afu jundaa

Say: ‘One who was in the straying, so let the Beneficent Extend his term for him, until when they see what they are being Threatened with, either the Punishment or the Hour, then they would come to know who was in a more evil position and of a weaker army’

19:76

وَيَزِيدُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱهْتَدَوْا۟ هُدًى ۗ وَٱلْبَـٰقِيَـٰتُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ مَّرَدًّا

Wa yazeedul laahul lazeenah tadaw hudaa; wal baaqiyaatus saalihaatu khairun 'inda Rabbika sawaabanw wa khairum maraddaa

And Allah would Increase in Guidance those who (seek) Guidance; and the everlasting righteous works are better with your Lord in Recompense and better in yield

19:77

أَفَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى كَفَرَ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا

Afara'aytal lazee kafara bi Aayaatinaa wa qaala la oota yanna maalanw wa waladaa

Do you see the one who commits Kufr with Our Signs and says, ‘I will be Given wealth and children’

19:78

أَطَّلَعَ ٱلْغَيْبَ أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَهْدًا

At tala'al ghaiba 'amit takhaza 'indar Rahmaani 'ahdaa

Has he been Notified of the unseen, or taken a Pact with the Beneficent?

19:79

كَلَّا ۚ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ مَدًّا

Kallaa; sanaktubu maa yaqoolu wa namuddu lahoo minal 'azaabi maddaa

Never! We shall Record what he is saying and We will Extend for him a term of the Punishment

19:80

وَنَرِثُهُۥ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأْتِينَا فَرْدًا

Wa narisuhoo maa yaqoolu wa ya'teenaa fardaa

And We shall Inherit what they are saying, and they would come to Us individually

19:81

وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً لِّيَكُونُوا۟ لَهُمْ عِزًّا

Wattakhazoo min doonil laahi aalihatal liyakoonoo lahum 'izzaa

And they are taking gods from besides Allah for them to be a (source of) strength for them

19:82

كَلَّا ۚ سَيَكْفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضِدًّا

Kallaa; sa yakfuroona bi'ibaadatihim wa yakoonoona 'alaihim ziddaa

Never! They will be denying their worshipping them and would become adversaries against them

19:83

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَ عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ تَؤُزُّهُمْ أَزًّا

Alam tara annaaa arsalnash Shayaateena 'alal kaafireena ta'uzzuhum azzaa

Do you not see that We have Sent the Satans upon the Kafirs, inciting them by an incitement?

19:84

فَلَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّا

Falaa ta'jal alaihim innamaa na 'uddu lahum 'addaa

Therefore, do not be hasty against them, but rather We only Number out a number to them

19:85

يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ وَفْدًا

Yawma nahshurul muttaqeena ilar Rahmaani wafdaa

On the Day We will Gather the pious to the Beneficent as a (Royal) delegation

19:86

وَنَسُوقُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرْدًا

Wa nasooqul mujrimeena ilaa Jahannama wirdaa

And We will Drive the criminals to Hell, thirsty

19:87

لَّا يَمْلِكُونَ ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَهْدًا

Laa yamlikoonash shafaa'ata illaa manittakhaza 'indar Rahmaani 'ahdaa

They shall not be controlling the intercession, except one who takes a Pact with the Beneficent

19:88

وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَلَدًا

Wa qaalut takhazar Rahmaanu waladaa

And they are saying: ‘The Beneficent has Taken a son’

19:89

لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمْ شَيْـًٔا إِدًّا

Laqad ji'tum shai'an iddaa

You have come with an abominable thing

19:90

تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنشَقُّ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَتَخِرُّ ٱلْجِبَالُ هَدًّا

Takaadus samaawaatu yatafattarna minhu wa tanshaq qul ardu wa takhirrul jibaalu haddaa

The skies may almost be torn apart from it, and the earth be rent asundered, and the mountains fall down crumbling

19:91

أَن دَعَوْا۟ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ وَلَدًا

An da'aw lir Rahmaani waladaa

That they are ascribing a son to be for the Beneficent

19:92

وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا

Wa maa yambaghee lir Rahmaani ai yattakhiza waladaa

And it is not befitting for the Beneficent that He should Take a son

19:93

إِن كُلُّ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّآ ءَاتِى ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَبْدًا

In kullu man fis samaawaati wal ardi illaaa aatir Rahmaani 'abdaa

Verily, everyone in the skies and the earth, but he would come to the Beneficent as a servant

19:94

لَّقَدْ أَحْصَىٰهُمْ وَعَدَّهُمْ عَدًّا

Laqad ahsaahum wa addahum 'addaa

He has Counted them and has Counted them with a numbering

19:95

وَكُلُّهُمْ ءَاتِيهِ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فَرْدًا

Wa kulluhum aateehi Yawmal Qiyaamati fardaa

And every one of them would come to Him on the Day of Judgement individually

19:96

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وُدًّا

Innal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati sa yaj'alu lahumur Rahmaanu wuddaa

Surely, those who are believing and are doing righteous deeds, the Beneficent would Make cordiality to be for them

19:97

فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَـٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ قَوْمًا لُّدًّا

Fa innamaa yassarnaahu bilisaanika litubashshira bihil muttaqeena wa tunzira bihee qawmal luddaa

But rather We have Eased it by your tongue to give the glad tidings to the pious with it and to warn by it a contentious people

19:98

وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هَلْ تُحِسُّ مِنْهُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَوْ تَسْمَعُ لَهُمْ رِكْزًۢا

Wa kam ahlaknaa qabla hum min qarnin hal tuhissu minhum min ahadin aw tasma'u lahum rikzaa

And how many a generation have We Destroyed before them! Do you sense from any one of them or hear a sound of them?
