Wa maa natanazzalu illaa bi amri Rabbika lahoo maa baina aideenaa wa maa khalfanaa wa maa baina zaalik; wa maa kaana Rabbuka nasiyyaa
And we (Angels) do not descend except by the Command of your Lord; for Him is what is in front of us and what is behind us and whatever is between that; and your Lord was not forgetful
Rabbus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa fa'bud hu wastabir li'ibaadatih; hal ta'lamu lahoo samiyyaa
The Lord of the skies and the earth and whatever is between the two. Therefore, worship Him and persevere in His worship. Do you know for him a (similar) Name?
Wa yaqoolul insaanu 'a izaa maa mittu lasawfa ukhraju haiyaa
And the human being is saying: ‘What! When I am dead I shall soon be Brought forth alive?’
A wa laa yazkurul insaanu annaa khalaqnaahu min qablu wa lam yaku shai'aa
Or does not the human being remember that We Created him before, and he was nothing?
Fawa Rabbika lanahshu rannahum wash shayaateena summa lanuhdirannahum hawla jahannama jisiyyaa
So, by your Lord! We will Gather them together and the Satans, then We will Present them kneeling around Hell
Summa lanan zi'anna min kulli shee'atin aiyuhum ashaddu 'alar Rahmaani 'itiyyaa
Then We will Remove from every sect, whichever of them was the most intensely rebellious against the Beneficent
Summa lanahnu a'lamu billazeena hum awlaa bihaa siliyyaa
Then We are more Knowing with those who are the foremost with it of being burnt
Wa in minkum illaa waariduhaa; kaana 'alaa Rabbika hatmam maqziyyaa
And there is not one of you but shall pass over it. This was an Ordained Decree upon your Lord
Summa nunajjil lazeenat taqaw wa nazaruz zaalimeena feehaa jisiyyaa
Then We will Rescue those who are pious, and We will Leave the unjust ones kneeling therein
Wa izaa tutlaa 'alaihim Aayaatunaa baiyinaatin qaalal lazeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanooo aiyul fareeqaini khairum maqaamanw wa ahsanu nadiyyaa
And when Our clear Verses are recited unto them, those who commit Kufr say to those who believe, ‘Which of the two groups is better in position and best in assembly?’
Wa kam ahlaknaa qablahum min qarnin hum ahsanu asaasanw wa ri'yaa
And how many of the generations have We Destroyed before them? They were better equipped and in appearance
Qul man kaana fidda laalati falyamdud lahur Rahmaanu maddaa; hattaaa izaa ra aw maa yoo'adoona immal 'azaaba wa immas Saa'ata fasa ya'lamoona man huwa sharrum makaananw wa ad'afu jundaa
Say: ‘One who was in the straying, so let the Beneficent Extend his term for him, until when they see what they are being Threatened with, either the Punishment or the Hour, then they would come to know who was in a more evil position and of a weaker army’
Wa yazeedul laahul lazeenah tadaw hudaa; wal baaqiyaatus saalihaatu khairun 'inda Rabbika sawaabanw wa khairum maraddaa
And Allah would Increase in Guidance those who (seek) Guidance; and the everlasting righteous works are better with your Lord in Recompense and better in yield
Do you see the one who commits Kufr with Our Signs and says, ‘I will be Given wealth and children’
At tala'al ghaiba 'amit takhaza 'indar Rahmaani 'ahdaa
Has he been Notified of the unseen, or taken a Pact with the Beneficent?
Kallaa; sanaktubu maa yaqoolu wa namuddu lahoo minal 'azaabi maddaa
Never! We shall Record what he is saying and We will Extend for him a term of the Punishment
And We shall Inherit what they are saying, and they would come to Us individually
Wattakhazoo min doonil laahi aalihatal liyakoonoo lahum 'izzaa
And they are taking gods from besides Allah for them to be a (source of) strength for them
Never! They will be denying their worshipping them and would become adversaries against them
Alam tara annaaa arsalnash Shayaateena 'alal kaafireena ta'uzzuhum azzaa
Do you not see that We have Sent the Satans upon the Kafirs, inciting them by an incitement?
Falaa ta'jal alaihim innamaa na 'uddu lahum 'addaa
Therefore, do not be hasty against them, but rather We only Number out a number to them
Yawma nahshurul muttaqeena ilar Rahmaani wafdaa
On the Day We will Gather the pious to the Beneficent as a (Royal) delegation
Wa nasooqul mujrimeena ilaa Jahannama wirdaa
And We will Drive the criminals to Hell, thirsty
Laa yamlikoonash shafaa'ata illaa manittakhaza 'indar Rahmaani 'ahdaa
They shall not be controlling the intercession, except one who takes a Pact with the Beneficent
Wa qaalut takhazar Rahmaanu waladaa
And they are saying: ‘The Beneficent has Taken a son’
Laqad ji'tum shai'an iddaa
You have come with an abominable thing
Takaadus samaawaatu yatafattarna minhu wa tanshaq qul ardu wa takhirrul jibaalu haddaa
The skies may almost be torn apart from it, and the earth be rent asundered, and the mountains fall down crumbling
An da'aw lir Rahmaani waladaa
That they are ascribing a son to be for the Beneficent
Wa maa yambaghee lir Rahmaani ai yattakhiza waladaa
And it is not befitting for the Beneficent that He should Take a son
In kullu man fis samaawaati wal ardi illaaa aatir Rahmaani 'abdaa
Verily, everyone in the skies and the earth, but he would come to the Beneficent as a servant
Laqad ahsaahum wa addahum 'addaa
He has Counted them and has Counted them with a numbering
Wa kulluhum aateehi Yawmal Qiyaamati fardaa
And every one of them would come to Him on the Day of Judgement individually
Innal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati sa yaj'alu lahumur Rahmaanu wuddaa
Surely, those who are believing and are doing righteous deeds, the Beneficent would Make cordiality to be for them
Fa innamaa yassarnaahu bilisaanika litubashshira bihil muttaqeena wa tunzira bihee qawmal luddaa
But rather We have Eased it by your tongue to give the glad tidings to the pious with it and to warn by it a contentious people
Wa kam ahlaknaa qabla hum min qarnin hal tuhissu minhum min ahadin aw tasma'u lahum rikzaa
And how many a generation have We Destroyed before them! Do you sense from any one of them or hear a sound of them?
