Al-Anbya

ٱقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مُّعْرِضُونَ

Iqtaraba linnaasi hisaabuhum wa hum fee ghaflatim mu'ridoon

It has drawn near to the people, their Reckoning, and they in their heedlessness, are turning aside

مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِم مُّحْدَثٍ إِلَّا ٱسْتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ

Maa ya'teehim min zikrim mir Rabbihim muhdasin illas tama'oohu wa hum yal'aboon

There does not come to them a new (Message) from their Lord but they are hearing in while they are playing around

لَاهِيَةً قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَأَسَرُّوا۟ ٱلنَّجْوَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ هَلْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ ۖ أَفَتَأْتُونَ ٱلسِّحْرَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ

Laahiyatan quloobuhum; wa asarrun najwal lazeena zalamoo hal haazaaa illaa basharum mislukum 'afa ta'toonas sihra wa antum tubsiroon

Their hearts are distracted, and they consulted in secret, those who are unjust, ‘Is this one except a human being like you all? Will you be going to the sorcery while you are seeing?’

قَالَ رَبِّى يَعْلَمُ ٱلْقَوْلَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Qaala Rabbee ya'lamul qawla fis samaaa'i wal ardi wa Huwas Samee'ul 'Aleem

He said: ‘My Lord Knows the speech in the sky and the earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing’

بَلْ قَالُوٓا۟ أَضْغَـٰثُ أَحْلَـٰمٍۭ بَلِ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ بَلْ هُوَ شَاعِرٌ فَلْيَأْتِنَا بِـَٔايَةٍ كَمَآ أُرْسِلَ ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ

Bal qaalooo adghaasu ahlaamin bal iftaraahu bal huwa shaa'irun fal ya'tinaa bi Aayatin kamaa ursilal awwaloon

But, they said, ‘Confused dreams. But, he fabricated it. But, he is a poet. So let him come to us with a Sign just as the former ones were Sent (with)’

مَآ ءَامَنَتْ قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهَآ ۖ أَفَهُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Maaa aaamanat qablahum min qaryatin ahlaknaahaa a-fahum yu'minoon

There did not believe before them a town We Destroyed. So will they believe?

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِمْ ۖ فَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟ أَهْلَ ٱلذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

Wa maaa arsalnaa qablaka illaa rijaalan nooheee ilaihim fas'aloo ahlaz zikri in kuntum laa ta'lamoon

And We did not Send before you except men We Revealed unto them, therefore ask the people of Al-Zikr if you don’t know

وَمَا جَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ جَسَدًا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ خَـٰلِدِينَ

Wa maa ja'alnaahum jasadal laa ya'kuloonat ta'aama wa maa kaanoo khaalideen

And We did not Make them as bodies not eating the food, and they were not supposed to be immortal

ثُمَّ صَدَقْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْوَعْدَ فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُمْ وَمَن نَّشَآءُ وَأَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

Summa sadaqnaa humul wa'da fa-anjainaahum wa man nashaaa'u wa ahlaknal musrifeen

Then We Ratified Our Promise to them, so We Delivered them and ones We so Desired to, and We Destroyed the extravagant ones

لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَـٰبًا فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ ۖ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

Laqad anzalnaaa ilaikum Kitaaban feehi zikrukum afalaa ta'qiloon

We have Revealed to you a Book in which is your Zikr. So, are you not using your intellects?

وَكَمْ قَصَمْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ كَانَتْ ظَالِمَةً وَأَنشَأْنَا بَعْدَهَا قَوْمًا ءَاخَرِينَ

Wa kam qasamnaa min qaryatin kaanat zaalimatanw wa ansha' naa ba'dahaa qawman aakhareen

And how many a town did We Shatter which was unjust, and We Raised after it another people?

فَلَمَّآ أَحَسُّوا۟ بَأْسَنَآ إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ

Falammaaa ahassoo ba'sanaaa izaa hum minhaa yarkuzoon

When they do sense Our Punishment, then they are fleeing from it

لَا تَرْكُضُوا۟ وَٱرْجِعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَآ أُتْرِفْتُمْ فِيهِ وَمَسَـٰكِنِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْـَٔلُونَ

Laa tarkudoo warji'ooo ilaa maaa utriftum feehi wa masaakinikum la'allakum tus'aloon

“Do not be fleeing and return to what luxuries you were given therein, and your dwellings, perhaps you would be questioned!”

قَالُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ

Qaaloo yaa wailanaaa innaa kunnaa zaalimeen

They say, ‘O woe be unto us! Surely we were unjust!’

فَمَا زَالَت تِّلْكَ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ حَصِيدًا خَـٰمِدِينَ

Famaa zaalat tilka da'waahum hattaa ja'alnaahum haseedan khaamideen

So that would not cease to be their call until We Make them to be as harvest cut down, motionless

وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَـٰعِبِينَ

Wa maa khalaqnas samaaa'a wal arda wa maa bainahumaa laa'ibeen

And We did not Create the sky and the earth and what is between the two for sport

لَوْ أَرَدْنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّٱتَّخَذْنَـٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّآ إِن كُنَّا فَـٰعِلِينَ

Law aradnaaa an nattakhiza lahwal lat takhaznaahu mil ladunnaaa in kunnaa faa'ileen

Had We Wanted to Take to sport, We would have Taken to it from Ourselves if We Wanted to Do so

بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِٱلْحَقِّ عَلَى ٱلْبَـٰطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهُۥ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ ۚ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْوَيْلُ مِمَّا تَصِفُونَ

Bal naqzifu bilhaqqi 'alal baatili fa yadmaghuhoo fa izaa huwa zaahiq; wa lakumul wailu mimmaa tasifoon

But, We Hurl the Truth upon the falsehood, so it confutes it, and then it vanishes. And for you is the woe from what you are ascribing

وَلَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَنْ عِندَهُۥ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَلَا يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ

Wa lahoo man fis samaawaati wal ard; wa man 'indahoo laa yastakbiroona 'an 'ibaada tihee wa laa yastahsiroon

And for him are the ones in the skies and the earth; and the ones in His Presence are neither being arrogant from worshipping Him nor are they tiring

يُسَبِّحُونَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ لَا يَفْتُرُونَ

Yusabbihoona laila wannahaara laa yafturoon

They are Glorifying by the night and the day. They are not slackening

أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَةً مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ هُمْ يُنشِرُونَ

Amit takhazooo aalihatam minal ardi hum yunshiroon

Or are they taking gods from the earth who are raising (the dead)?

لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَآ ءَالِهَةٌ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا ۚ فَسُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

Law kaana feehimaaa aalihatun illal laahu lafasadataa; fa-Subhaanal laahi Rabbil 'Arshi 'ammaa yasifoon

If there had been a god in them (skies and the earth) except Allah, it (universe) would have been spoilt. Therefore, Glorious is Allah, Lord of the Throne, from what they are ascribing

لَا يُسْـَٔلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْـَٔلُونَ

Laa yus'alu 'ammaa yaf'alu wa hum yus'aloon

He cannot be questioned about what He Does, and they would be Questioned

أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً ۖ قُلْ هَاتُوا۟ بُرْهَـٰنَكُمْ ۖ هَـٰذَا ذِكْرُ مَن مَّعِىَ وَذِكْرُ مَن قَبْلِى ۗ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٱلْحَقَّ ۖ فَهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ

Amit takhazoo min doonihee aalihatan qul haatoo burhaanakum haaza zikru mam ma'iya wa zikru man qablee; bal aksaruhum laa ya'lamoonal haqqa fahum mu'ridoon

Or, are they taking god from besides Him? Say: ‘Bring your proof! This is a Zikr of the one (who is) with me, and a Zikr of the ones (who were) before me. But, most of them are not knowing the Truth, so they are turning aside’

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا نُوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱعْبُدُونِ

Wa maaa arsalnaa min qablika mir Rasoolin illaa nooheee ilaihi annahoo laaa ilaaha illaaa Ana fa'budoon

And We did not Send before you any Rasool except We Revealed unto him that: “There is no god except Me, therefore worship Me!”

وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَلَدًا ۗ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ ۚ بَلْ عِبَادٌ مُّكْرَمُونَ

Wa qaalut takhazar Rahmaanu waladaa; Subhaanahu bal 'ibaadum mukramoon

And they are saying, ‘The Beneficent has Taken a son!’ Glorious is He! But, they (Prophets) are honoured servants

لَا يَسْبِقُونَهُۥ بِٱلْقَوْلِ وَهُم بِأَمْرِهِۦ يَعْمَلُونَ

Laa yasbiqoonahoo bil qawli wa hum bi amrihee ya'maloon

They do not precede Him in speech and they are only acting by His Command

يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يَشْفَعُونَ إِلَّا لِمَنِ ٱرْتَضَىٰ وَهُم مِّنْ خَشْيَتِهِۦ مُشْفِقُونَ

Ya'lamu maa baina aideehim wa maa khalfahum wa laa yashfa'oona illaa limanir tadaa wa hum min khash yatihee mushfiqoon

He Knows what is in front of them and what is behind them, and they will not be interceding except for the one He Approves of, and they are trembling from His fear

۞ وَمَن يَقُلْ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّىٓ إِلَـٰهٌ مِّن دُونِهِۦ فَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِيهِ جَهَنَّمَ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

Wa man yaqul minhum inneee ilaahum min doonihee fazaalika najzeehi Jahannam; kazaalika najziz zaalimeen

And one from them who says, ‘I am a god besides Him’, so that one We will Recompense him with Hell. Like that do We Recompense the unjust one

أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَـٰهُمَا ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ حَىٍّ ۖ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Awalam yaral lazeena kafarooo annas samaawaati wal arda kaanataa ratqan fafataqnaa humaa wa ja'alnaa minal maaa'i kulla shai'in haiyin afalaa yu'minoon

Or do they not see, those who are committing Kufr, that the skies and the earth were joined up, and We Separated them? And We Made from the water, all living things, so will they not believe?

وَجَعَلْنَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ رَوَٰسِىَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِهِمْ وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا فِجَاجًا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ

Wa ja'alnaa fil ardi rawaasiya an tameeda bihim wa ja'alnaa feehaa fijaajan subulal la'allahum yahtadoon

And We Made stable mountains in the earth lest it might shake with them, and We have made therein wide ways perhaps they would be guided

وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ سَقْفًا مَّحْفُوظًا ۖ وَهُمْ عَنْ ءَايَـٰتِهَا مُعْرِضُونَ

Wa ja'alnas samaaa'a saqfam mahfoozanw wa hum 'an Aayaatihaa mu'ridoon

And We Made the sky a guarding ceiling, and (yet) they are turning aside from its Signs

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ

Wa Huwal lazee khalaqal laila wannahaara washshamsa wal qamara kullun fee falakiny yasbahoon

And He is the One Who Created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; all floating in their orbits

وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ ٱلْخُلْدَ ۖ أَفَإِي۟ن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ ٱلْخَـٰلِدُونَ

Wa maa ja'alnaa libasharim min qablikal khuld; afa immitta fahumul khaalidoon

And We did Make the immortality for any human from before you. So if you die, then would they be living eternally?

كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۗ وَنَبْلُوكُم بِٱلشَّرِّ وَٱلْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً ۖ وَإِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ

Kullu nafsin zaaa'iqatul mawt; wa nablookum bi sharri walkhairi fitnatanw wa ilainaa turja'oon

Every self shall taste the death, and We Try you with the evil and the good as a Fitna, and to Us you shall be returning

وَإِذَا رَءَاكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى يَذْكُرُ ءَالِهَتَكُمْ وَهُم بِذِكْرِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ هُمْ كَـٰفِرُونَ

Wa izaa ra aakal lazeena kafarooo iny-yattakhizoonaka illa huzuwan; ahaazal lazee yazkuru aalihatakum wa hum bi zikrir Rahmaani hum kaafiroon

And when those who commit Kufr see you they are not taking you except as a mockery, ‘Is this the one who mentions your gods?’ And they, with the Zikr of the Beneficent, they are committing Kufr

خُلِقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مِنْ عَجَلٍ ۚ سَأُو۟رِيكُمْ ءَايَـٰتِى فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونِ

Khuliqal insaanu min 'ajal; sa ureekum Aayaatee falaa tasta'jiloon

The human being is Created of hasty (temperament); I shall Show you My Signs, therefore do not hasten

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ

Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal wa'du in kuntum saadiqeen

And they are saying, ‘When would this Threat occur if you are truthful?’

لَوْ يَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ حِينَ لَا يَكُفُّونَ عَن وُجُوهِهِمُ ٱلنَّارَ وَلَا عَن ظُهُورِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ

Law ya'lamul lazeena kafaroo heena laa yakuffoona 'anw wujoohihimun Naara wa laa 'an zuhoorihim wa laa hum yunsaroon

If only they had known, those who commit Kufr, where they will not be able to stop the Fire from their faces nor from their back, nor will they be helped

بَلْ تَأْتِيهِم بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ

Bal ta'teehim baghtatan fatabhatuhum falaa yastatee'oona raddahaa wa laa hum yunzaroon

But, it will come to them suddenly, and it would stun them, so they would neither be able to repel it nor would they be Respited

وَلَقَدِ ٱسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِٱلَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

Wa laqadis tuhzi'a bi-Rusulim min qablika fahaaqa billazeena sakhiroo minhum maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon

And there was mockery with Rasools from before you, then it encompassed those of them who were mocking, what they had been mocking

قُلْ مَن يَكْلَؤُكُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ مِنَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۗ بَلْ هُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ

Qul mai yakla 'ukum billaili wannahaari minar Rahmaan; bal hum 'an zikri Rabbihim mu'rizoon

Say: ‘Who can protect you by the night and the day from the Beneficent? But, they, from the Zikr of their Lord, are turning aside

أَمْ لَهُمْ ءَالِهَةٌ تَمْنَعُهُم مِّن دُونِنَا ۚ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَا هُم مِّنَّا يُصْحَبُونَ

Am lahum aalihatun tamna'uhum min dooninaa; laa yastatee'oona nasra anfusihim wa laa hum minna yus-haboon

Or, are there gods for them defending them from besides Us? They are not even able to help themselves nor can they be defended from Us

بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ طَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْعُمُرُ ۗ أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّا نَأْتِى ٱلْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَآ ۚ أَفَهُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ

Bal matta'naa haaa'ulaaa'i wa aabaaa'ahum hattaa taala 'alaihimul 'umur; afalaa yarawna anna na'til arda nanqusuhaa min atraafihaa; afahumul ghaaliboon

But, We Provided them and their forefathers until the life was prolonged upon them. So, do they not see us Coming to the earth, Reducing it from its ends? Can they be the victorious ones?

قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أُنذِرُكُم بِٱلْوَحْىِ ۚ وَلَا يَسْمَعُ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ

Qul innamaaa unzirukum bilwahyi; wa laa yasma'us summud du'aaa 'a izaa maa yunzaroon

Say: ‘But rather, I warn you by the Revelation, and the deaf do not hear the call whenever they are warned’

وَلَئِن مَّسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَـٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ

Wa la'in massat hum nafhatun min 'azaabi Rabbika la yaqoolunna yaawailanaaa innnaa kunnaa zaalimeen

And if a blast of the Punishment of your Lord were to touch them, they would be saying, ‘O woe be unto us! Surely we were unjust!’

وَنَضَعُ ٱلْمَوَٰزِينَ ٱلْقِسْطَ لِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَإِن كَانَ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ أَتَيْنَا بِهَا ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِنَا حَـٰسِبِينَ

Wa nada'ul mawaazeenal qista li Yawmil Qiyaamati falaa tuzlamu nafsun shai'aa; wa in kaana misqaala habbatim min khardalin atainaa bihaa; wa kafaa binaa haasibeen

And We will Place scales of fairness on the Day of Judgment, therefore do not wrong a soul of anything. And even if it was the weight of a mustard seed, We will Come with it; and suffice with Us as the Reckoners

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ ٱلْفُرْقَانَ وَضِيَآءً وَذِكْرًا لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

Wa laqad aatainaa Moosa wa haaroonal Furqaana wa diyaa'anw wa zikral lilmuttaqeen

And We had Given the Furqan to Musa and Haroun as an illumination and a Zikr for the pious

ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَهُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّاعَةِ مُشْفِقُونَ

Allazeena yakhshawna Rabbahum bilghaibi wa hum minas Saa'ati mushfiqoon

Those who are fearing their Lord in the hidden, and are in awe from the Hour

وَهَـٰذَا ذِكْرٌ مُّبَارَكٌ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ ۚ أَفَأَنتُمْ لَهُۥ مُنكِرُونَ

Wa haazaa Zikrum Mubaarakun anzalnaah; afa antum lahoo munkiroon

And this is a Blessed Zikr We Revealed, so are you deniers of it?

۞ وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ رُشْدَهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا بِهِۦ عَـٰلِمِينَ

Wa laqad aatainaaa Ibraaheema rushdahoo min qablu wa kunnaa bihee 'aalimeen

And We had Given Ibrahim his Guidance from before, and we were well-Knowing with him

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا هَـٰذِهِ ٱلتَّمَاثِيلُ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنتُمْ لَهَا عَـٰكِفُونَ

Iz qaala li abeehi wa qawmihee maa haazihit tamaaseelul lateee antum lahaa 'aakifoon

When he said to his father and his people: ‘What are these statues which you are devoted to?’

قَالُوا۟ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا لَهَا عَـٰبِدِينَ

Qaaloo wajadnaaa aabaaa'anaa lahaa 'aabideen

They said, ‘We found our forefathers worshipping to these’

قَالَ لَقَدْ كُنتُمْ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمْ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ

Qaala laqad kuntum antum wa aabaaa'ukum fee dalaalin mubeen

He said: ‘You and your forefathers have been in clear straying’

قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا بِٱلْحَقِّ أَمْ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱللَّـٰعِبِينَ

Qaalooo aji'tanaa bil haqqi am anta minal laa'ibeen

They said, ‘Have you come to us with the Truth, or are you one of the players?’

قَالَ بَل رَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَهُنَّ وَأَنَا۠ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ

Qaala bar Rabbukum Rabbus samaawaati wal ardil lazee fatarahunna wa ana 'alaa zaalikum minash shaahideen

He said: ‘But, your Lord is the Lord of the skies and the earth, Who Originated these, and I am from the testifiers upon that for all of you’

وَتَٱللَّهِ لَأَكِيدَنَّ أَصْنَـٰمَكُم بَعْدَ أَن تُوَلُّوا۟ مُدْبِرِينَ

Wa tallaahi la akeedanna asnaamakum ba'da an tuwalloo mudbireen

‘And, by Allah! I have a plan against your idols after you go away turning back’

فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذَٰذًا إِلَّا كَبِيرًا لَّهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ يَرْجِعُونَ

Faja'alahum juzaazan illaa kabeeral lahum la'allahum ilaihi yarji'oon

So, he broke them into pieces, except the biggest of them, perhaps they would be returning to it

قَالُوا۟ مَن فَعَلَ هَـٰذَا بِـَٔالِهَتِنَآ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

Qaaloo man fa'ala haazaa bi aalihatinaaa innahoo laminaz zaalimeen

They said, ‘Who did this with our gods? Surely he is from the unjust ones?’

قَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا فَتًى يَذْكُرُهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُۥٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ

Qaaloo sami'naa fatany yazkuruhum yuqaalu lahooo Ibraaheem

They said, ‘We heard a youth called Ibrahim mentioning them’

قَالُوا۟ فَأْتُوا۟ بِهِۦ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْيُنِ ٱلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْهَدُونَ

Qaaloo fa'too bihee 'alaaa a'yunin naasi la'allahum yash hadoon

They said, ‘Then come with him to the eyes of the people, perhaps they would testify’

قَالُوٓا۟ ءَأَنتَ فَعَلْتَ هَـٰذَا بِـَٔالِهَتِنَا يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ

Qaalooo 'a-anta fa'alta haazaa bi aalihatinaa yaaa Ibraaheem

They said, ‘Did you do this with our gods, O Ibrahim?’

قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُۥ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَـٰذَا فَسْـَٔلُوهُمْ إِن كَانُوا۟ يَنطِقُونَ

Qaala bal fa'alahoo kabeeruhum haazaa fas'aloohum in kaanoo yantiqoon

He said: ‘But their biggest one did this, so ask them if they could speak’

فَرَجَعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ أَنتُمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ

Faraja'ooo ilaaa anfusihim faqaalooo innakum antumuz zaalimoon

So, they returned to themselves, and they were saying, ‘You yourselves are the unjust ones’

ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رُءُوسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ يَنطِقُونَ

Summa nukisoo 'alaa ru'oosihim laqad 'alimta maa haaa'ulaaa'i yantiqoon

Then then hanged down their heads (saying), ‘You know they would not be speaking’

قَالَ أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ

Qaala afata'budoona min doonil laahi maa laa yanfa'ukum shai'anw wa laa yadurrukum

He said: ‘Are you worshipping from besides Allah what can neither benefit you anything nor harm you?

أُفٍّ لَّكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

Uffil lakum wa limaa ta'budoona min doonil laah; afalaa ta'qiloon

Fie to you, and to whatever you are worshipping from besides Allah. Are you not using your intellects?’

قَالُوا۟ حَرِّقُوهُ وَٱنصُرُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ فَـٰعِلِينَ

Qaaloo harriqoohu wansurooo aalihatakum in kuntum faa'ileen

They said, Burn him and help your gods, if you were going to do (anything)’

قُلْنَا يَـٰنَارُ كُونِى بَرْدًا وَسَلَـٰمًا عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

Qulnaa yaa naaru koonee bardanw wa salaaman 'alaaa Ibraaheem

We said: “O fire! Become cool and safe upon Ibrahim!”

وَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْأَخْسَرِينَ

Wa araadoo bihee kaidan faja'alnaahumul akhsareen

And they intended to plot with him, so We Made them the losers

وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَلُوطًا إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّتِى بَـٰرَكْنَا فِيهَا لِلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

Wa najjainaahu wa Lootan ilal ardil latee baaraknaa feehaa lil 'aalameen

And We Delivered him and Lut to the land which We had Blessed therein for the worlds

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَـٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةً ۖ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صَـٰلِحِينَ

Wa wahabnaa lahooo Ishaaqa; wa Ya'qooba naafilah; wa kullan ja'alnaa saaliheen

And We Bestowed to him Is’haq and Yaqoub in addition, and We Made both to be righteous ones

وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَإِقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَإِيتَآءَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا عَـٰبِدِينَ

Wa ja'alnaahum a'immatany yahdoona bi amrinaa wa awhainaaa ilaihim fi'lal khairaati wa iqaamas Salaati wa eetaaa'az Zakaati wa kaanoo lanaa 'aabideen

And We made them as Imams guiding by Our Command and We Revealed unto them the doing of good, and establishing the Salat, and giving the Zakat, and they worshipped Us

وَلُوطًا ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِى كَانَت تَّعْمَلُ ٱلْخَبَـٰٓئِثَ ۗ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَـٰسِقِينَ

Wa Lootan aatainaahu hukmanw wa 'ilmanw wa najjainaahu minal qaryatil latee kaanat ta'malul khabaaa'is; innahum kaanoo qawma saw'in faasiqeen

And (as for) Lut, We Gave him Wisdom and Knowledge, and We Delivered him from the town which indulged in wickedness. They were an evil people, transgressors

وَأَدْخَلْنَـٰهُ فِى رَحْمَتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

Wa adkhalnaahu fee rahmatinaa innahoo minas saaliheen

And We Entered him into Our Mercy. He was from the righteous ones

وَنُوحًا إِذْ نَادَىٰ مِن قَبْلُ فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

Wa noohan iz naadaa min qablu fastajabnaa lahoo fanajjainaahu wa ahlahoo minal karbil 'azeem

And Noah, when he had called out from before, so We Answered him, and Delivered him and his family from the great calamity

وَنَصَرْنَـٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

Wa nasarnaahu minal qawmil lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa; innahum kaanoo qawma saw'in fa-aghraq naahum ajma'een

And We Helped him from the people, those who were belying Our Signs. They were an evil people, so We Drowned them altogether

وَدَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَـٰنَ إِذْ يَحْكُمَانِ فِى ٱلْحَرْثِ إِذْ نَفَشَتْ فِيهِ غَنَمُ ٱلْقَوْمِ وَكُنَّا لِحُكْمِهِمْ شَـٰهِدِينَ

Wa Daawooda wa Sulaimaana iz yahkumaani fil harsi iz nafashat feehi ghanamul qawmi wa kunnaa lihukmihim shaahideen

And Dawood and Suleyman, when they both gave judgement concerning the field when the people's sheep pastured therein, and We were Witness to their judgments

فَفَهَّمْنَـٰهَا سُلَيْمَـٰنَ ۚ وَكُلًّا ءَاتَيْنَا حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا ۚ وَسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوُۥدَ ٱلْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَٱلطَّيْرَ ۚ وَكُنَّا فَـٰعِلِينَ

Fafahhamnaahaa sulaimaan; wa kullan aatainaa hukmanw wa'ilmanw wa sakh kharnaa ma'a Daawoodal jibaala yusabbihna wattayr; wa kunnaa faa'ileen

We Made Suleyman understand it, and to both We Gave Wisdom and Knowledge, and We Subdued the mountains and the birds to Glorify with Dawood; and We were the Doers

وَعَلَّمْنَـٰهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوسٍ لَّكُمْ لِتُحْصِنَكُم مِّنۢ بَأْسِكُمْ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُمْ شَـٰكِرُونَ

Wa 'allamanaahu san'ata laboosil lakum lituhsinakum min ba'sikum fahal antum shaakiroon

And We Taught him the making of coats of mail for you, in order for you to protect yourselves from your fighting. Will you then be grateful?

وَلِسُلَيْمَـٰنَ ٱلرِّيحَ عَاصِفَةً تَجْرِى بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّتِى بَـٰرَكْنَا فِيهَا ۚ وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَـٰلِمِينَ

Wa li Sulaimaanar reeha 'aasifatan tajree bi amriheee ilal ardil latee baaraknaa feehaa; wa kunnaa bikulli shai'in 'aalimeen

And for Suleyman, the raging wind flowing by his orders to the land wherein We had Blessed, and We were the Knowers of all things

وَمِنَ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِ مَن يَغُوصُونَ لَهُۥ وَيَعْمَلُونَ عَمَلًا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَكُنَّا لَهُمْ حَـٰفِظِينَ

Wa minash Shayaateeni mai yaghoosoona lahoo wa ya'maloona 'amalan doona zaalika wa kunna lahum haafizeen

And from the Satans were ones who were diving for him and were working other work besides that, and We were Protectors of theirs

۞ وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَسَّنِىَ ٱلضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ

Wa Ayyooba iz naadaa Rabbahooo annee massaniyad durru wa Anta arhamur raahimeen

And Ayoub, when he called out to his Lord: ‘I am touched by the harm and You are the most Merciful of the merciful ones’

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِۦ مِن ضُرٍّ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ أَهْلَهُۥ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَـٰبِدِينَ

Fastajabnaa lahoo fakashaf naa maa bihee min durrinw wa aatainaahu ahlahoo wa mislahum ma'ahum rahmatan min 'indinaa wa zikraa lil'aabideen

We Answered to him, and We Removed whatever from harm there was with him, and We Gave him (back) his family and the like of them along with them, being a Mercy from Us and a Zikr for the worshippers

وَإِسْمَـٰعِيلَ وَإِدْرِيسَ وَذَا ٱلْكِفْلِ ۖ كُلٌّ مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

Wa Ismaa'eela wa Idreesa wa Zal Kifli kullum minas saabireen

And Ismail, and Idrees and Zalkifl; all were from the patient ones

وَأَدْخَلْنَـٰهُمْ فِى رَحْمَتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّهُم مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

Wa adkhalnaahum fee rahmatinaa innahum minas saaliheen

And We Included them into Our Mercy. They were from the righteous ones

وَذَا ٱلنُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَـٰضِبًا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادَىٰ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ أَن لَّآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنتَ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ إِنِّى كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

Wa Zan Nooni iz zahaba mughaadiban fa zannaa al lan naqdira 'alaihi fanaadaa fiz zulumaati al laaa ilaaha illaaa Anta Subhaanaka innee kuntu minaz zaalimeen

And the one with the whale (Yunus), when he went away in anger, so he thought that We will never be Able upon him, and he called out in the darkness that: ‘There is no god except Allah! Glorious are You, I was of the unjust ones!’

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْغَمِّ ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُـۨجِى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Fastajabnaa lahoo wa najjainaahu minal ghamm; wa kazaalika nunjil mu'mineen

We Answered for him and Delivered him from the grief, and like that do We Deliver the Momineen

وَزَكَرِيَّآ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِى فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ

Wa Zakariyyaaa iz naadaa Rabbahoo Rabbi laa tazarnee fardanw wa Anta khairul waariseen

And Zakariyya, when he called out to his Lord: ‘Lord! Do not leave me as an individual, and you are the best of the inheritors

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُۥ زَوْجَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا خَـٰشِعِينَ

Fastajabnaa lahoo wa wahabnaa lahoo Yahyaa Wa aslahnaa lahoo zawjah; innahum kaanoo yusaari'oona fil khairaati wa yad'oonanaa raghabanw wa rahabaa; wa kaanoo lanaa khaashi'een

We Answered him and Gifted Yahya to him and We Corrected his wife for him. They were being swift in the good deeds and supplicating to Us, hoping and fearing, and they were humble to Us

وَٱلَّتِىٓ أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلْنَـٰهَا وَٱبْنَهَآ ءَايَةً لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

Wallateee ahsanat farjahaa fanafakhnaa feehaa min roohinaa wa ja'alnaahaa wabnahaaa Aayatan lil'aalameen

And she (Maryam) who guarded her chastity, so We Breathed into her from Our Spirit and Made her and her son to be as a Sign for the worlds

إِنَّ هَـٰذِهِۦٓ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً وَأَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُونِ

Inna haaziheee ummatukum ummatanw waahidatanw wa Ana Rabbukum fa'budoon

Surely this community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord, therefore worship Me

وَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ كُلٌّ إِلَيْنَا رَٰجِعُونَ

Wa taqatta'ooo amrahum bainahum kullun ilainaaa raaji'oon

And they broke their matters between them. All of them would be returning to Us

فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَا كُفْرَانَ لِسَعْيِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ كَـٰتِبُونَ

Famai ya'mal minas saalihaati wa huwa mu'minun falaa kufraana lisa'yihee wa innaa lahoo kaatiboon

So, one who does from the righteous deeds and he is a Momin, then there will be no denying his exertion, and We are the Writers for him

وَحَرَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهَآ أَنَّهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ

Wa haraamun 'alaa qaryatin ahlaknaahaaa annahum laa yarji'oon

And it is Prohibited upon a town which We Destroyed, that they will not be returning

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فُتِحَتْ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَهُم مِّن كُلِّ حَدَبٍ يَنسِلُونَ

Hattaaa izaa futihat Ya'jooju wa Ma'jooju wa hum min kulli hadabiny yansiloon

Until when Yajouj and Majouj are released, and they would be descending from every elevation

وَٱقْتَرَبَ ٱلْوَعْدُ ٱلْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِىَ شَـٰخِصَةٌ أَبْصَـٰرُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِى غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَـٰذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ

Waqtarabal wa'dul haqqu fa-izaa hiya shaakhisatun absaarul lazeena kafaroo yaawailanaa qad kunna fee ghaflatin min haaza bal kunnaa zaalimeen

And the Promise of the Truth shall draw closer, and then it make their eyes stare, those who are committing Kufr, ‘O woe be unto us! We have been in heedlessness from this. But, we were unjust!’

إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ أَنتُمْ لَهَا وَٰرِدُونَ

Innakum wa maa ta'budoona min doonil laahi hasabu Jahannama antum lahaa waaridoon

You, and whatever you are worshipping from besides Allah, would be the fuel of Hell. You would be coming to it

لَوْ كَانَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ءَالِهَةً مَّا وَرَدُوهَا ۖ وَكُلٌّ فِيهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ

Law kaana haaa'ulaaa'i aalihatan maa waradoohaa wa kullun feehaa khaalidoon

If they had been gods, they would not be coming to it, and they would all be in it eternally

لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِيرٌ وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يَسْمَعُونَ

Lahum feehaa zafeerunw wa hum feehaa laa yasma'oon

For them therein shall be sighing, and they would not be hearing therein

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُم مِّنَّا ٱلْحُسْنَىٰٓ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ

Innal lazeena sabaqat lahum minnal husnaaa ulaaa'ika 'anhaa mub'adoon

Surely those for whom the good has preceded from Us, they would be remote from it

لَا يَسْمَعُونَ حَسِيسَهَا ۖ وَهُمْ فِى مَا ٱشْتَهَتْ أَنفُسُهُمْ خَـٰلِدُونَ

Laa yasma'oona hasee sahaa wa hum fee mash tahat anfusuhum khaalidoon

They will not be hearing its slightest sound, and they would be in what their souls desire, for eternity

لَا يَحْزُنُهُمُ ٱلْفَزَعُ ٱلْأَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقَّىٰهُمُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ هَـٰذَا يَوْمُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ

Laa yahzunuhumul faza'ul akbaru wa tatalaq qaahumul malaaa'ikatu haazaa Yawmukumul lazee kuntum too'adoon

The great terror shall not grieve them, and the Angels would meet them: ‘This is your Day which you were Promised’

يَوْمَ نَطْوِى ٱلسَّمَآءَ كَطَىِّ ٱلسِّجِلِّ لِلْكُتُبِ ۚ كَمَا بَدَأْنَآ أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُّعِيدُهُۥ ۚ وَعْدًا عَلَيْنَآ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا فَـٰعِلِينَ

Yawma natwis samaaa'a kataiyis sijilli lilkutub; kamaa bada'naa awwala khalqin nu'eeduh; wa'dan 'alainaa; innaa kunna faa'ileen

On the Day We will Roll up the sky like the rolling up of the scroll for writing. Just as We Began the first creation, We will Repeat it, being a Promise upon Us. We will certainly be Doing it!

وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِى ٱلزَّبُورِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلذِّكْرِ أَنَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِىَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَ

Wa laqad katabnaa fiz Zaboori min ba'diz zikri annal arda yarisuhaa 'ibaadi yas saalihoon

And We had Written in the Psalms from after the Zikr, that the earth, My righteous servants shall inherit it

إِنَّ فِى هَـٰذَا لَبَلَـٰغًا لِّقَوْمٍ عَـٰبِدِينَ

Inna fee haaza labalaa ghal liqawmin 'aabideen

Surely in this there is a Message for a worshipping people

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

Wa maaa arsalnaaka illaa rahmatal lil'aalameen

And We did not Send you except as a mercy to the worlds

قُلْ إِنَّمَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَـٰهُكُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

Qul innamaa yoohaa ilaiya annamaaa ilaahukum illaahunw Waahid, fahal antum muslimoon

Say: ‘But rather, It is Revealed unto me, your God is One God. So, will you be submitters?’

فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَقُلْ ءَاذَنتُكُمْ عَلَىٰ سَوَآءٍ ۖ وَإِنْ أَدْرِىٓ أَقَرِيبٌ أَم بَعِيدٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ

Fa in tawallaw faqul aazantukum 'alaa sawaaa'; wa in adreee aqareebun am ba'eedun maa too'adoon

But if you turn back, then say: ‘I proclaim to you upon an equal footing, and if I knew whether it is near or afar, what you are Threatened with

إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْتُمُونَ

Innahoo ya'lamul jahra minal qawli wa ya'lamu maa taktumoon

Surely, He Knows what is spoken loudly from the speech, and He Knows what you are concealing

وَإِنْ أَدْرِى لَعَلَّهُۥ فِتْنَةٌ لَّكُمْ وَمَتَـٰعٌ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ

Wa in adree la'allahoo fitnatul lakum wa mataa'un ilaaheen

And I know, perhaps it is a Fitna for you and a provision up to a time’

قَـٰلَ رَبِّ ٱحْكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ ۗ وَرَبُّنَا ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ٱلْمُسْتَعَانُ عَلَىٰ مَا تَصِفُونَ

Qaala Rabbih kum bil haqq; wa Rabbunar Rahmaa nul musta'aanu 'alaa maa tasifoon

He said: ‘Lord! Judge with the Truth!’ And: ‘Our Lord is the Beneficent, Whose Help is sought against what you are ascribing’
