Al-Furqan

The Criterion · 77 verses

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Play surah
25:1

تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ ٱلْفُرْقَانَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِۦ لِيَكُونَ لِلْعَـٰلَمِينَ نَذِيرًا

Tabaarakal lazee nazzalal Furqaana 'alaa 'abdihee li yakoona lil'aalameena nazeera

Blessed is He Who Revealed the Furqan unto His servant for him to be a warner to the worlds

25:2

ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ شَرِيكٌ فِى ٱلْمُلْكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ تَقْدِيرًا

Allazee lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa lam yattakhiz waladanw wa lam yakul lahoo shareekun filmulki wa khalaqa kulla shai'in faqaddarahoo taqdeeraa

The One for Whom is the Kingdom of the skies and the earth, and He did not Take a son, and there is no associate for Him in the Kingdom, and He Created all things, so He Ordained a Determination (for it)

25:3

وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً لَّا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْـًٔا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ مَوْتًا وَلَا حَيَوٰةً وَلَا نُشُورًا

Wattakhazoo min dooniheee aalihatal laa yakhluqoona shai'anw wa hum yukhlaqoona wa laa yamlikoona li anfusihim darranw wa laa naf'anw wa laa yamlikoona mawtanw wa laa hayaatanw wa laa nushooraa

And they are taking gods from besides Him who are not creating anything while they are Created, nor are they controlling for themselves a harm nor a benefit, and are neither controlling death nor life nor Resurrection

25:4

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّآ إِفْكٌ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ وَأَعَانَهُۥ عَلَيْهِ قَوْمٌ ءَاخَرُونَ ۖ فَقَدْ جَآءُو ظُلْمًا وَزُورًا

Wa qaalal lazeena kafarooo in haazaaa illaaa ifkunif taraahu wa a'aanahoo 'alaihi qawmun aakharoona faqad jaaa'oo zulmanw wa zooraa

And those who commit Kufr are saying, ‘Surely, this is only a lie. He fabricated it and he is being assisted upon it by other people, so they have come with injustice and falsehood’

25:5

وَقَالُوٓا۟ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٱكْتَتَبَهَا فَهِىَ تُمْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا

Wa qaalooo asaateerul awwaleenak tatabahaa fahiya tumlaa 'alaihi bukratanw wa aseelaa

And they are saying, ‘Stories of the former ones! He had these written out, and these are being dictated to him (in the) morning and evening’

25:6

قُلْ أَنزَلَهُ ٱلَّذِى يَعْلَمُ ٱلسِّرَّ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

Qul anzalhul lazee ya'lamus sirra fis samaawaati wal-ard; innahoo kaana Ghafoorar Raheemaa

(Allah) Say (O Rasool to them): ‘He Revealed it, the One Who Knows the secrets in the skies and the earth. He was always Forgiving, Merciful

25:7

وَقَالُوا۟ مَالِ هَـٰذَا ٱلرَّسُولِ يَأْكُلُ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشِى فِى ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۙ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ فَيَكُونَ مَعَهُۥ نَذِيرًا

Wa qaaloo maa li haazar Rasooli ya'kulut ta'aama wa yamshee fil aswaaq; law laaa unzila ilaihi malakun fa yakoona ma'ahoo nazeeraa

And they are saying, ‘What is the matter with this Rasool? He is eating the food, and walking in the markets. If only a great Angel had been Sent down instead of him, so he would have been a warner along with him

25:8

أَوْ يُلْقَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ كَنزٌ أَوْ تَكُونُ لَهُۥ جَنَّةٌ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا ۚ وَقَالَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسْحُورًا

Aw yulqaaa ilaihi kanzun aw takoonu lahoo jannatuny ya'kulu minhaa; wa qaalaz zaalimoona in tattabi'oona illaa rajulan mas hooraa

Or a treasure been cast to him, or there should happen to be a garden for him to eat from’. And the unjust ones say, ‘You are only following a man bewitched!’

25:9

ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوا۟ لَكَ ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ فَضَلُّوا۟ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلًا

Unzur kaifa daraboo lakal amsaala fadalloo falaa yastatee'oona sabeelaa

Look how they are striking the examples for you. They have strayed, therefore they are unable to find a way

25:10

تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِن شَآءَ جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيْرًا مِّن ذَٰلِكَ جَنَّـٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ وَيَجْعَل لَّكَ قُصُورًۢا

Tabaarakal lazeee in shaaa'a ja'ala laka khairan min zaalika jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru wa yaj'al laka qusooraa

Blessed is He Who, if He Desires to, would Make for you better than that, Gardens beneath which the rivers flow, and Made castles to be for you

25:11

بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلسَّاعَةِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِمَن كَذَّبَ بِٱلسَّاعَةِ سَعِيرًا

Bal kazzaboo bis Saa'ati wa a'tadnaa liman kazzaba bis Saa'ati sa'eeraa

But they are belying the Hour, and We have Prepared a Blazing Fire for the one who belies the Hour

25:12

إِذَا رَأَتْهُم مِّن مَّكَانٍۭ بَعِيدٍ سَمِعُوا۟ لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَزَفِيرًا

Izaa ra'at hum min makaanin ba'eedin sami'oo lahaa taghaiyuzanw wa zafeeraa

When they see it from a distant place, they shall listen to it raging and exhaling

25:13

وَإِذَآ أُلْقُوا۟ مِنْهَا مَكَانًا ضَيِّقًا مُّقَرَّنِينَ دَعَوْا۟ هُنَالِكَ ثُبُورًا

Wa izaaa ulqoo minhaa makaanan daiyiqam muqar raneena da'aw hunaalika thuboora

And when they are cast into a narrow place of it, bound, they shall be calling over there for destruction

25:14

لَّا تَدْعُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ ثُبُورًا وَٰحِدًا وَٱدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا كَثِيرًا

Laa tad'ul yawma thubooranw waahidanw wad'oo thubooran kaseeraa

Do not call for one destruction today, and call for many destructions!

25:15

قُلْ أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ أَمْ جَنَّةُ ٱلْخُلْدِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ۚ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَزَآءً وَمَصِيرًا

Qul azaalika khairun am Jannatul khuldil latee wu'idal muttaqoon; kaanat lahum jazaaa'anw wa maseeraa

Say: ‘Is that better or the eternal Garden which is Promised for the pious? That would be a Recompense for them and a destination

25:16

لَّهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَآءُونَ خَـٰلِدِينَ ۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ وَعْدًا مَّسْـُٔولًا

Lahum feehaa maa yashaaa'oona khaalideen; kaana 'alaa Rabbika wa'dan mas'oolaa

For them therein would be whatever they desire for eternity, being a Promise upon your Lord to be asked for

25:17

وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَقُولُ ءَأَنتُمْ أَضْلَلْتُمْ عِبَادِى هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَمْ هُمْ ضَلُّوا۟ ٱلسَّبِيلَ

Wa Yawma yahshuruhum wa maa ya'budoona min doonil laahi fa yaqoolu 'a-antum adlaltum 'ibaadee haaa'ulaaa'i am hum zallus sabeel

And on the Day, He would be Gathering them and whatever they had been worshipping from besides Allah, and He would be Saying: “Did you stray these servants of Mine or they lost the Way?”

25:18

قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنۢبَغِى لَنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِكَ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَلَـٰكِن مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَسُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۢا بُورًا

Qaaloo Subhaanaka maa kaana yanbaghee lanaaa an nattakhiza min doonika min awliyaaa'a wa laakin matta'tahum wa aabaaa'ahum hattaa nasooz zikra wa kaanoo qawman booraa

They shall say, ‘Glorious are You! It was not befitting for us that we take guardians from besides You, but You Gave comforts to them and their fathers until they forgot the Zikr, and they were a ruined people

25:19

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوكُم بِمَا تَقُولُونَ فَمَا تَسْتَطِيعُونَ صَرْفًا وَلَا نَصْرًا ۚ وَمَن يَظْلِم مِّنكُمْ نُذِقْهُ عَذَابًا كَبِيرًا

Faqad kazzabookum bimaa taqooloona famaa tastatee'oona sarfanw wa laa nasraa; wa many yazlim minkum nuziqhu 'azaaban kabeeraa

So, they have (now) belied you with what you are saying, therefore you will neither be able to turn away (the Punishment) nor (find) helpers. And the unjust ones from you, We shall Make him taste a mighty Punishment

25:20

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ لَيَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشُونَ فِى ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۗ وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرًا

Wa maaa arsalnaa qablaka minal mursaleena illaaa innahum la ya'kuloonat ta'aama wa yamshoona fil aswaaq; wa ja'alnaa ba'dakum liba'din fitnatan atasbiroon; wa kaana Rabbuka Baseera

And We did not Send any Rasools except they were eating the food and walking in the markets, and We Made some of you a Fitna for some. Will you be patient? And your Lord was Ever-Seeing

25:21

۞ وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَىٰ رَبَّنَا ۗ لَقَدِ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْ عُتُوًّا كَبِيرًا

Wa qaalal lazeena laa yarjoona liqaaa'anaa law laaa unzila 'alainal malaaa'ikatu awnaraa Rabbanaa; laqadistakbaroo feee anfusihim wa 'ataw 'utuwwan kabeeraa

And those who do not wish for meeting Us, say, ‘Why weren’t Angels Sent down upon us or We (could) see our Lord?’ They are being arrogant among themselves and are revolting with great disregard

25:22

يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ لَا بُشْرَىٰ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا

Yawma yarawnal malaaa 'ikata laa bushraa Yawmaizin lil mujrimeena wa yaqooloona hijran mahjooraa

On the Day (Judgement) they would be seeing the Angels, there would be no glad tidings on that Day for the criminals, and they would be saying, ‘(It is) a rigorous Prohibition!’

25:23

وَقَدِمْنَآ إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ هَبَآءً مَّنثُورًا

Wa qadimnaaa ilaa maa 'amiloo min 'amalin faja'alnaahuhabaaa'an manshooraa

And We will proceed to what they have done of a deed, so We shall Make it as scattered floating dust

25:24

أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌ مُّسْتَقَرًّا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًا

As haabul jannati yawma'izin khairun mustaqar ranw wa ahsanu maqeela

The companions of the Paradise on that day would be in a goodly settlement and an excellent resting place

25:25

وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِٱلْغَمَـٰمِ وَنُزِّلَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ تَنزِيلًا

Wa Yawma tashaqqaqus samaaa'u bilghamaami wa nuzzilal malaaa'ikatu tanzeela

And on the Day the sky shall rent asunder with the clouds, and the Angels shall descend in stages

25:26

ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۚ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ عَسِيرًا

Almulku Yawma'izinil haqqu lir Rahmaan; wa kaana Yawman'alal kaafireena 'aseeraa

The Kingdom on that Day would be the Right of the Beneficent (The Day of Allah), and it would be a difficult Day upon the Kafirs

25:27

وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا

Wa Yawma ya'adduz zaalimu 'alaa yadaihi yaqoolu yaa laitanit takhaztu ma'ar Rasooli sabeelaa

And on the Day, the unjust one would bite upon his hand saying, ‘O I wish I had taken Sabeel along with the Rasool!’

25:28

يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِى لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا

Yaa wailataa laitanee lam attakhiz fulaanan khaleelaa

Oh! I wish I had not taken so and so as a friend!

25:29

لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِى عَنِ ٱلذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَنِى ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ خَذُولًا

Laqad adallanee 'aniz zikri ba'da iz jaaa'anee; wa kaanash Shaitaanu lil insaani khazoolaa

He strayed me away from the Zikr after when it had come to me; and the Satan has always abandoned the human being!

25:30

وَقَالَ ٱلرَّسُولُ يَـٰرَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مَهْجُورًا

Wa qaalar Rasoolu yaa Rabbi inna qawmit takhazoo haazal Qur'aana mahjooraa

And the Rasool would say: O Lord! Surely, my people treated this Quran as a forsaken (abandoned) thing

25:31

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّا مِّنَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَنَصِيرًا

Wa kazaalika ja'alnaa likulli Nabiyyin 'aduwwan minal mujrimeen; wa kafaa bi Rabbika haadiyanw wa naseeraa

And like that, We Made for every Prophet, an enemy from the criminals, and Suffice with your Lord as a Guide and a Helper

25:32

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ جُمْلَةً وَٰحِدَةً ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَ ۖ وَرَتَّلْنَـٰهُ تَرْتِيلًا

Wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo law laa nuzzila 'alaihil Qur'aanu jumlatanw waahidah; kazaalika linusabbita bihee fu'aadaka wa rattalnaahu tarteelaa

And those who are committing Kufr say, ‘Why wasn’t the Quran Revealed unto him all at once?’ Like that, We Affirmed your heart with it, and We Arranged it (to be Revealed) gradually

25:33

وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَـٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا

Wa laa ya'toonaka bi masalin illaa ji'naaka bilhaqqi wa ahsana tafseeraa

And they cannot come to you with an example except We will Come with the Truth (Haq) and the best interpretation

25:34

ٱلَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا

Allazeena yuhsharoona 'alaa wujoohihim ilaa jahannama ulaaa'ika sharrun makaananw wa adallu sabeelaa

Those who would be Gathered upon their faces to Hell, those would be in the most evil place and most straying from the way

25:35

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهُۥٓ أَخَاهُ هَـٰرُونَ وَزِيرًا

Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba wa ja'alnaa ma'ahooo akhaahu Haaroona wazeeraa

And We had Given the Book to Musa and Made his brother to be with him as a Vizier

25:36

فَقُلْنَا ٱذْهَبَآ إِلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَـٰهُمْ تَدْمِيرًا

Faqulnaz habaaa ilal qawmil lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa fadammarnaahum tadmeeraa

Then We Said: “Go you both to the people, those who belied Our Signs, so We Destroyed them Destructively

25:37

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا۟ ٱلرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ ءَايَةً ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا

Wa qawma Noohin lammaa kazzabur Rusula aghraqnaahum wa ja'alnaahum linnaasi Aayatanw wa a'tadnaa lizzaalimeena 'azaaban aleemaa

And the people of Noah, when they belied the Rasools, We Drowned them, and Made them to be a Sign for the people, and We have Prepared for the unjust ones a painful Punishment

25:38

وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَا۟ وَأَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًۢا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ كَثِيرًا

Wa 'Aadanw wa Samooda wa As haabar Rassi wa quroonan baina zaalika katheeraa

And Aad, and Samood, and the dwellers of the Al-Rass and many generations between them

25:39

وَكُلًّا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ ۖ وَكُلًّا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيرًا

Wa kullan darabnaa lahul amsaala wa kullan tabbarnaa tatbeera

And for each one, We Struck examples and each one We Wasted with a Destruction

25:40

وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَى ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۚ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ يَرَوْنَهَا ۚ بَلْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًا

Wa laqad ataw 'alal qaryatil lateee umtirat mataras saw'; afalam yakoonoo yarawnahaa; bal kaanoo laa yarjoona nushooraa

And certainly they have passed by the town upon which was Rained the evil rain; did they not then see it? But, they were not hoping to be Raised

25:41

وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولًا

Wa izaa ra awka iny yattakhizoonaka illaa huzuwan ahaazal lazee ba'asal laahu Rasoolaa

And when they see you, they only take you as a mockery, ‘Is this the one Allah Sent as a Rasool?

25:42

إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ ءَالِهَتِنَا لَوْلَآ أَن صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا

In kaada la yudillunaa 'an aalihatinaa law laaa an sabarnaa 'alaihaa; wa sawfa ya'lamoona heena yarawnal 'azaaba man adallu sabeela

He almost strayed us away from our gods, if we had not been patient upon these’. And soon they will know when they see the Punishment, who is more straying from the Way

25:43

أَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَـٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا

Ara'aita manit takhaza ilaahahoo hawaahu afa anta takoonu 'alaihi wakeelaa

Do you see the one who takes his own desires as a god? So, will you happen to be a protector upon him?

25:44

أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ ۚ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ ۖ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا

Am tahsabu anna aksarahum yasma'oona aw ya'qiloon; in hum illaa kal an'aami bal hum adallu sabeelaa

Or do you reckon that most of them are hearing or using their intellects? Surely, they are only like the cattle. But, they are more straying of the way

25:45

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ ٱلظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَجَعَلَهُۥ سَاكِنًا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا ٱلشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًا

Alam tara ilaa Rabbika kaifa maddaz zilla wa law shaaa'a la ja'alahoo saakinan thumma ja'alnash shamsa 'alaihi daleelaa

Do you not look at your Lord how He Extends the shade? And had he so Desired, He would have Made it stationary. Then We Made the sun as an indicator upon it

25:46

ثُمَّ قَبَضْنَـٰهُ إِلَيْنَا قَبْضًا يَسِيرًا

Thumma qabadnaahu ilainaa qabdany yaseeraa

Then We Seize it to Ourselves with an easy seizure

25:47

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا وَٱلنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًا وَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ نُشُورًا

Wa Huwal lazee ja'ala lakumul laila libaasanw wannawma subaatanw wa ja'alan nahaara nushooraa

And He is the One Who Made the night as an apparel for you, and the sleep as rest, and Made the day as a resurrection

25:48

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ بُشْرًۢا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً طَهُورًا

Wa Huwal lazeee arsalar riyaaha bushran baina yadai rahmatih; wa anzalnaa minas samaaa'i maaa'an tahooraa

And He is the One Who Sends the winds as glad tidings before His Mercy. And We Send down clean water from the sky

25:49

لِّنُحْـِۧىَ بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا وَنُسْقِيَهُۥ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَآ أَنْعَـٰمًا وَأَنَاسِىَّ كَثِيرًا

Linuhyiya bihee baldatan maitanw-wa nusqiyahoo mimmaa khalaqnaaa an'aamanw wa anaasiyya katheeraa

In order to revive by it a dead land, and We Quench it from what We Created, cattle and a lot of people

25:50

وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَـٰهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ فَأَبَىٰٓ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا

Wa laqad sarrafnaahu bainahum li yazzakkaroo fa abaaa aksarun naasi illaa kufooraa

And We have Explained it between them for them to be mindful (of the Zikr), but most of the people refused except they committed Kufr

25:51

وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ نَّذِيرًا

Wa law shi'naa laba'asnaa fee kulli qaryatin nazeeraa

And if We had so Desired, We would have Sent a warner in every town

25:52

فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ وَجَـٰهِدْهُم بِهِۦ جِهَادًا كَبِيرًا

Falaa tuti'il kaafireena wa jaahidhum bihee jihaadan kabeeraa

So do not follow the Kafirs, and strive against them a mighty striving with it

25:53

۞ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ هَـٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ وَهَـٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًا وَحِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا

Wa Huwal lazee marajal bahraini haazaa 'azbun furaatunw wa haazaa milhun ujaaj; wa ja'ala bainahumaa barzakhanw wa hijran mahjooraa

And He is the One Who Released the two oceans – this one fresh, sweet, and this one salty, bitter; and We Made to be between the two, a barrier and a partition of quarantine

25:54

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُۥ نَسَبًا وَصِهْرًا ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًا

Wa Huwal lazee khalaqa minal maaa'i basharan fa ja'alahoo nasaban wa sihraa; wa kaana Rabbuka Qadeeraa

And He it is Who Created a person from the water, so He Made for him relationships of lineage and marriage; and your Lord was always Powerful

25:55

وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ ظَهِيرًا

Wa ya'budoona min doonil laahi maa laa yanfa'uhum wa laa yadurruhum; wa kaanal kaafiru 'alaa Rabbihee zaheeraa

And they are worshipping besides Allah what neither benefits them nor harms them; and the Kafir has always been a backer against his Lord

25:56

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا

Wa maa arsalnaaka illaa mubashshiranw wa nazeeraa

And We have not Sent you except as a giver of glad tidings and as a warner

25:57

قُلْ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًا

Qul maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin illaa man shaaa'a ai yattakhiza ilaa Rabbihee sabeelaa

Say: ‘I do not ask you for any recompense over it except one who so desires to should take a way to his Lord

25:58

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْحَىِّ ٱلَّذِى لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِۦ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًا

Wa tawakkal 'alal Haiyil lazee laa yamootu wa sabbih bihamdih; wa kafaa bihee bizunoobi 'ibaadihee khabeeraa

And he should rely on the Ever-living Who does not die, and Glorify with His Praise; and Sufficient is He of being Aware of the sins of His servants

25:59

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۚ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ فَسْـَٔلْ بِهِۦ خَبِيرًا

Allazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa maa bainahumaa fee sittati aiyaamin thumma stawaa 'alal 'Arsh; ar Rahmaanu fas'al bihee khabeeraa

The One Who Created the skies and the earth and what is between them in six days, then the Beneficent Established upon the Throne. So, ask the one who is well-informed, about Him

25:60

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ قَالُوا۟ وَمَا ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًا ۩

Wa izaa qeela lahumus judoo lir Rahmaani qaaloo wa mar Rahmaanu 'a nasjudu limaa ta'murunaa wa zaadahum nufooraa (make sajda)

And when it is said to them: ‘Do Sajdah to the Beneficent!’ They say, ‘And what is the Beneficent? Shall we do Sajdah to what you are ordering us?’ And it increases them in aversion

25:61

تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجًا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَٰجًا وَقَمَرًا مُّنِيرًا

Tabaarakal lazee ja'ala fis samaaa'i buroojanw wa ja'ala feehaa siraajanw wa qamaran muneeraa

Blessed is He Who Made the constellations in the skies and Made therein a lamp and a shining moon

25:62

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةً لِّمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًا

Wa huwal lazee ja'alal laila wannahaara khilfatan liman araada 'any yazzakkara aw araadaa shukooraa

And He is the One Who Made the night and the day in succession (to each other), for the one who intends to do Zikr or intends gratefulness

25:63

وَعِبَادُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ هَوْنًا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلْجَـٰهِلُونَ قَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمًا

Wa 'ibaadur Rahmaanil lazeena yamshoona 'alal ardi hawnanw wa izaa khaata bahumul jaahiloona qaaloo salaamaa

And the servants of the Beneficent are those who walk on the earth humbly, and when the ignorant one address them, they say, ‘Peace!’

25:64

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَـٰمًا

Wallazeena yabeetoona li Rabbihim sujjadanw wa qiyaamaa

And those who spend the night in Sajdah to their Lord, and standing

25:65

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا

Wallazeena yaqooloona Rabbanas rif 'annaa 'azaaba Jahannama inna 'azaabahaa kaana gharaamaa

And those who are saying, ‘Our Lord! Turn away from us the Punishment of Hell! Surely, its Punishment would be inseparable

25:66

إِنَّهَا سَآءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا

Innahaa saaa'at mustaqarranw wa muqaamaa

Surely, it is an evil abode and (an evil) place to stay

25:67

وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَنفَقُوا۟ لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا۟ وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا۟ وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ قَوَامًا

Wallazeena izaaa anfaqoo lam yusrifoo wa lam yaqturoo wa kaana baina zaalika qawaamaa

And those, when they spend, are not being extravagant and are not stingy, and are moderate between that

25:68

وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ ٱلنَّفْسَ ٱلَّتِى حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا

Wallazeena laa yad'oona ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara wa laa yaqtuloonan nafsal latee harramal laahu illaa bilhaqqi wa laa yaznoon; wa mai yaf'al zaalika yalqa 'athaamaa

And those who do not supplicate to another god along with Allah, and are not killing the soul which Allah Forbade except with the right, nor are they committing adultery. And one who does that, indulges in sin

25:69

يُضَـٰعَفْ لَهُ ٱلْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِۦ مُهَانًا

Yudaa'af lahul 'azaabu Yawmal Qiyaamati wa yakhlud feehee muhaanaa

The Punishment would be doubled for him on the Day of Judgment, and he would therein be eternally in disgrace

25:70

إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَـٰلِحًا فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ حَسَنَـٰتٍ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

Illaa man taaba wa 'aamana wa 'amila 'amalan saalihan fa ulaaa'ika yubad dilul laahu saiyi aatihim hasanaat; wa kaanal laahu Ghafoorar Raheemaa

Except one who repents, and believes, and does righteous deeds, so those ones, Allah would Replace their evil deeds with good deeds, and Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful

25:71

وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًا فَإِنَّهُۥ يَتُوبُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَتَابًا

Wa man taaba wa 'amila saalihan fa innahoo yatoobu ilal laahi mataabaa

And one who repents and does righteous deeds, then surely, he repents to Allah penitently

25:72

وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ ٱلزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِٱللَّغْوِ مَرُّوا۟ كِرَامًا

Wallazeena laa yash hadoonaz zoora wa izaa marroo billaghwi marroo kiraamaa

And those who are not witnessing the falsities, and when they pass by the vanities, they pass by nobly

25:73

وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوا۟ عَلَيْهَا صُمًّا وَعُمْيَانًا

Wallazeena izaa zukkiroo bi Aayaati Rabbihim lam yakhirroo 'alaihaa summanw wa'umyaanaa

And those, when the Signs of their Lord are mentioned, do not fall deaf and blind upon these

25:74

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَٱجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Wallazeena yaqooloona Rabbanaa hab lanaa min azwaajinaa wa zurriyaatinaa qurrata a'yuninw waj 'alnaa lilmuttaqeena Imaamaa

And those who are saying, ‘Our Lord! Grant to us from our wives and our offspring, delight of our eyes, and Make us Imams for the pious

25:75

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ ٱلْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلَـٰمًا

Ulaaa'ika yujzawnal ghurfata bimaa sabaroo wa yulaqqawna feehaa tahiyyatanw wa salaamaa

Those would be Recompensed with chambers for what they had been patient upon, and they would be met therein with greetings and salutations

25:76

خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ حَسُنَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا

Khaalideena feehaa; hasunat mustaqarranw wa muqaamaa

Abiding eternally therein. Excellent is the abode and the resting place

25:77

قُلْ مَا يَعْبَؤُا۟ بِكُمْ رَبِّى لَوْلَا دُعَآؤُكُمْ ۖ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًۢا

Qul maa ya'ba'u bikum Rabbee law laa du'aaa'ukum faqad kazzabtum fasawfa yakoonu lizaamaa

Say: ‘My Lord would not care for you, were it not for your supplications, but you have belied, so soon the inevitable would happen
