Alif Lam Meem

تَنزِيلُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ مِن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

Tanzeelul Kitaabi laa raiba feehi mir rabbil 'aalameen

(The) Revelation of the Book, there is no doubt in it, being from the Lord of the Worlds

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ ۚ بَلْ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّآ أَتَىٰهُم مِّن نَّذِيرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ

Am yaqooloonaf taraahu bal huwal haqqu mir rabbika litunzira qawma maaa ataahum min nazeerim min qablika la'allahum yahtadoon

Or are they saying he fabricated it? But, it is the Truth from your Lord for you to warn a people to whom no warner has come before you, perhaps they would be Guided

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۖ مَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ مِن وَلِىٍّ وَلَا شَفِيعٍ ۚ أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ

Allaahul lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa maa bainahumaa fee sittati ayyaamin thummas tawaa 'alal 'arsh; maa lakum min doonihee minw-waliyyinw-wala shafee'; afalaa tatazakkaroon

Allah is the One Who Created the skies and the earth and whatever is between the two in six days, then He Established upon the Throne. There is neither for you a Guardian nor an intercessor from besides Him, so will you not take heed?

يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ فِى يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُۥٓ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ

Yudabbirul amra minas samaaa'i ilal ardi thumma ya'ruju ilaihi fee yawmin kaana miqdaaruhooo alfa sanatim mimmaa ta'uddoon

He Regulates the matters from the sky to the earth, then these would ascend to Him during a Day, the measurement of it would be a thousand years from what you are counting

ذَٰلِكَ عَـٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

Zaalika 'aalimul ghaybi wa shahaadatil 'azeezur raheem

That is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty the Merciful

ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقَهُۥ ۖ وَبَدَأَ خَلْقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ مِن طِينٍ

Allazee ahsana kulla shai in khalaqa; wa bada a khalqal insaani min teen

Who Made excellent everything He Created, and He Began the creation of the human being from clay

ثُمَّ جَعَلَ نَسْلَهُۥ مِن سُلَـٰلَةٍ مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ

Thumma ja'ala naslahoo min sulaalatim mim maaa'immaheen

Then He Made his (Adam) descendants from an extract of despicable (dreadful) water

ثُمَّ سَوَّىٰهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِهِۦ ۖ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَ وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ

Thumma sawwaahu wa nafakha feehi mir roohihih; wa ja'ala lakumus sam'a wal-absaara wal-af'idah; qaleelam maa tashkuroon

Then Fashioned him and Blew into him from His Spirit. And He Made for you the hearing, and the sight, and the heart. Little is what you are thanking

وَقَالُوٓا۟ أَءِذَا ضَلَلْنَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَءِنَّا لَفِى خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍۭ ۚ بَلْ هُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّهِمْ كَـٰفِرُونَ

Wa qaalooo 'a-izaa dalalnaa fil ardi 'a-innaa lafee khalqin jadeed; bal hum biliqaaa'i rabbihim kaafiroon

And they are saying: ‘What! When we are lost in the earth, would be in a new creation? But, they are disbelievers in the meeting of their Lord

۞ قُلْ يَتَوَفَّىٰكُم مَّلَكُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ٱلَّذِى وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ

Qul yatawaffaakum malakul mawtil lazee wukkila bikum Thumma ilaa rabbikum turja'oon

Say: ‘The Angel of death who is Allocated to you shall cause you to die, then to your Lord you will be returning’

وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ نَاكِسُوا۟ رُءُوسِهِمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ رَبَّنَآ أَبْصَرْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا فَٱرْجِعْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَـٰلِحًا إِنَّا مُوقِنُونَ

Wa law taraaa izil mujrimoona naakisoo ru'oosihim 'inda rabbihim rabbanaaa absarnaa wa sami'naa farji'naa na'mal saalihan innaa mooqinoon

If only you could see when the criminals would be hanging down their heads in the Presence of their Lord, ‘Our Lord! We have seen and we have heard, so (please) Send us back (and) we will act rightly. We are certain (now)!’

وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَـَٔاتَيْنَا كُلَّ نَفْسٍ هُدَىٰهَا وَلَـٰكِنْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ مِنِّى لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ

Wa law shi'naa la-aatainaa kulla nafsin hudaahaa wa laakin haqqal qawlu minnee la amla'anna jahannama minal jinnati wannaasi ajma'een

And had We so Desired, We would have Given every self its Guidance, but the reality of the Word from Me is: “I will Fill Hell from the Jinn and the people together!

فَذُوقُوا۟ بِمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَـٰذَآ إِنَّا نَسِينَـٰكُمْ ۖ وَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلْخُلْدِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Fazooqoo bimaa naseetum liqaaa'a yawmikum haaza innaa naseenaakum wa zooqoo 'azaabal khuldi bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

Therefore taste! Due to your having forgotten this Day of yours, We will Forsake you (today). And taste the eternal Punishment due to what you had been doing!”

إِنَّمَا يُؤْمِنُ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهَا خَرُّوا۟ سُجَّدًا وَسَبَّحُوا۟ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ ۩

Innamaa yu'minu bi aayaatinal lazeena izaa zukkiroo bihaa kharroo sujjadanw wa sabbahoo bihamdi rabbihim wa hum laa yastakbiroon (make sajda)

But rather, only those believe in Our Signs, when they are reminded of these, (they) fall down in Sajdah and Glorify (and) they Praise their Lord, and they are not being arrogant

تَتَجَافَىٰ جُنُوبُهُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَضَاجِعِ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ

Tatajaafaa junoobuhum 'anil madaaji'i yad'oona rabbahum khawfanw wa tama'anw wa mimmaa razaqnaahum yunfiqoon

Their sides forsake their beds, supplicating to their Lord in fear and in hope, and they are spending from what We Graced them with

فَلَا تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَّآ أُخْفِىَ لَهُم مِّن قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍ جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Falaa ta'lamu nafsum maaa ukhfiya lahum min qurrati a'yunin jazaaa'am bimaa kaanoo ya'maloon

So, no soul knows what is hidden for them from delight of the eyes, being a Recompense of what they had been doing

أَفَمَن كَانَ مُؤْمِنًا كَمَن كَانَ فَاسِقًا ۚ لَّا يَسْتَوُۥنَ

Afaman kaana mu'minan kaman kaana faasiqaa; laa yasta woon

Is the one who was a Momin like the one who was a transgressor? They are not equal!

أَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَلَهُمْ جَنَّـٰتُ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ نُزُلًۢا بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Ammal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati falahum jannaatul ma'waa nuzulam bimaa kaanoo ya'maloon

As for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for them are the resort Gardens, being a hospitality due to what they had been doing

وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ فَسَقُوا۟ فَمَأْوَىٰهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ ۖ كُلَّمَآ أَرَادُوٓا۟ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَآ أُعِيدُوا۟ فِيهَا وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ ذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ

Wa ammal lazeena fasaqoo fama'waahumun Naaru kullamaaa araadooo any yakhrujoo minhaaa u'eedoo feehaa wa qeela lahum zooqoo 'azaaaban Naaril lazee kuntum bihee tukazziboon

And as for those who transgress, their abode is the Fire. Every time they intend to exit from it, they would be returned into it, and it would be said to them: ‘Taste Punishment of the Fire which you were belying with!’

وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم مِّنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَدْنَىٰ دُونَ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَكْبَرِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

Wa lanuzeeqan nahum minal 'azaabil adnaa doonal 'azaabil akbari la'allahum yarji'oon

And We will Make them taste from the smallest Punishment besides the biggest, perhaps they would be returning

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن ذُكِّرَ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِۦ ثُمَّ أَعْرَضَ عَنْهَآ ۚ إِنَّا مِنَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ مُنتَقِمُونَ

Wa man azlamu mimman zukkira bi aayaati rabbihee summa a'rada 'anhaa; innaa minal mujrimeena muntaqimoon

And who is more unjust than the one who is reminded of the Signs of his Lord, then turns away from them? We will be Taking revenge from the criminals

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ فَلَا تَكُن فِى مِرْيَةٍ مِّن لِّقَآئِهِۦ ۖ وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ هُدًى لِّبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba falaa takun fee miryatim mil liqaaa'ihee wa ja'alnaahu hudal li Baneee Israaa'eel

And We had Given Musa the Book, therefore you (Jews) should not be in doubt from meeting Him, and We Made him a guide for the Children of Israel

وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا لَمَّا صَبَرُوا۟ ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا يُوقِنُونَ

Wa ja'alnaa minhum a'immatany yahdoona bi amrinaa lammaa sabaroo wa kaanoo bi aayaatinaa yooqinoon

And We Made Imams from them, guiding by Our Command, due to their being patient, and they were certain of Our Signs

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ

Inna rabbaka huwa yafsilu bainahum yawmal qiyaamati feemaa kaanoo feehi yakhtalifoon

Surely, your Lord, He will Decide between them on the Day of Judgement regarding what they were differing in

أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِى مَسَـٰكِنِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ ۖ أَفَلَا يَسْمَعُونَ

Awalam yahdi lahum kam ahlaknaa min qablihim minal qurooni yamshoona fee masaakinihim; inna fee zaalika la aayaatin afalaa yasma'oon

Or, is it not a guidance for them how many We Destroyed before them, from the generations walking around in their dwellings? Surely, there are Signs in that. So will they not be listening?

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا نَسُوقُ ٱلْمَآءَ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلْجُرُزِ فَنُخْرِجُ بِهِۦ زَرْعًا تَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ أَنْعَـٰمُهُمْ وَأَنفُسُهُمْ ۖ أَفَلَا يُبْصِرُونَ

Awalam yaraw annaa nasooqul maaa'a ilal ardil juruzi fanukhriju bihee zar'an ta'kulu minhu an'aamuhum wa anfusuhum afalaa yubsiroon

Or do they not see that We Drive the water to a barren land, then We Extract crops with it. Their cattle eat from it and (so do) they themselves. Can they not see?

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلْفَتْحُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ

Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal fath hu in kuntum saadiqeen

And they are saying, ‘When would this victory be, If you are truthful?’

قُلْ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَتْحِ لَا يَنفَعُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِيمَـٰنُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ

Qul yawmal fath hi laa yanfa'ul lazeena kafarooo eemaanuhum wa laa hum yunzaroon

Say: ‘On the Day of the victory, those who committed Kufr (before), their expressing Eman (then) would not benefit them nor would they be Respited’

فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَٱنتَظِرْ إِنَّهُم مُّنتَظِرُونَ

Fa a'rid 'anhum wantazir innahum muntaziroon

Therefore, turn away from them and wait, surely they too are waiting
