ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ

Ar Rahmaan

The Beneficent

عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ

'Allamal Quran

Taught the Quran

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ

Khalaqal insaan

Created the human being

عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ

'Allamahul bayaan

Taught him the clarification

ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ

Ashshamsu walqamaru bihusbaan

The sun and the moon are both with Reckonings (calculations)

وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ

Wannajmu washshajaru yasjudan

And the star and the tree are both performing Sajdahs

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ

Wassamaaa'a rafa'ahaa wa wada'al Meezan

And the sky, He Elevated it, and He Placed the Scale

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ

Allaa tatghaw fil meezaan

Indeed! You must not transgress regarding the Scale

وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ

Wa aqeemul wazna bilqisti wa laa tukhsirul meezaan

And establish the weight with the fairness and do not be deficient regarding the Scale

وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ

Wal arda wada'ahaa lilanaam

And the earth, He Placed it for the creatures

فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ

Feehaa faakihatunw wan nakhlu zaatul akmaam

Therein are fruits, and the palm trees with the sheathed clusters

وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ

Walhabbu zul 'asfi war Raihaan

And the grain with the husk and the fragrance

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ

Khalaqal insaana min salsaalin kalfakhkhaar

He Created the human being from clay like the pottery

وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ

Wa khalaqal jaaan mim maarijim min naar

And Created the Jaan from smokeless fire

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ

Rabbul mashriqayni wa Rabbul maghribayn

Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ

Marajal bahrayni yalta qiyaan

He Let loose the two seas to meet

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ

Bainahumaa barzakhul laa yabghiyaan

Between them is a barrier which they do not violate

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ

Yakhruju minhumal lu 'lu u wal marjaan

There come forth from them the pearls and the rubies

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ

Wa lahul jawaaril mun sha'aatu fil bahri kal a'laam

And for Him are the facilities flowing in the sea, like the banners

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ

Kullu man 'alaihaa faan

Everyone upon it will perish

وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ

Wa yabqaa wajhu rabbika zul jalaali wal ikraam

And there will remain the Face of your Lord, with the Majesty and the Honour

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ

Yas'aluhoo man fissamaawaati walard; kulla yawmin huwa fee shaan

Everyone in the skies and the earth asks Him. Every day He is in Splendour

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ

Sanafrughu lakum ayyuhas saqalaan

We shall soon Deal with you (with) the two weighty things!

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ

Yaa ma'sharal jinni wal insi inis tata'tum an tanfuzoo min aqtaaris samaawaati wal ardi fanfuzoo; laa tanfuzoona illaa bisultaan

O communities of the Jinn and the humans! If you are able to pass beyond the diameter of the skies and the earth, then pass. You will not be passing through except with authorisation

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ

Yursalu 'alaikumaa shuwaazum min naarinw-wa nuhaasun falaa tantasiraan

Flames of fire and smoke would be Sent upon you two, and you will not (be able to) help each other

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ

Fa-izan shaqqatis samaaa'u fakaanat wardatan kaddihaan

So, when the sky splits, then it would become rosy like the red hide

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ

Fa-yawma'izil laa yus'alu 'an zambiheee insunw wa laa jaann

So, on that Day, neither a human being nor Jinn would be Questioned about his sin

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ

Yu'raful mujrimoona biseemaahum fa'yu'khazu binna waasi wal aqdaam

The criminals would be recognised by their marks, so they shall be seized by the forelocks and the feet

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ

Haazihee jahannamul latee yukazzibu bihal mujrimoon

This here is Hell which the criminals belied upon

يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ

Yatoofoona bainahaa wa baina hameemim aan

They will circle between it and the spring of scalding water

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ

Wa liman khaafa maqaama rabbihee jannataan

And for the one who fears to stand before his Lord are two Gardens

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ

Zawaataaa afnaan

Having two branches

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ

Feehimaa 'aynaani tajriyaan

In both of them are two flowing springs

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ

Feehimaa min kulli faakihatin zawjaan

In both of them are pairs of every fruit

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ

Muttaki'eena 'alaa furushim bataaa'inuhaa min istabraq; wajanal jannataini daan

Reclining upon beds, the inner coverings being of silk brocade; and the fruits of the two Gardens will stoop (towards them)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

فِيهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ

Feehinna qaasiratut tarfi lam yatmishunna insun qablahum wa laa jaaann

In these would be ones of modest gaze, neither having been touched by a human before them nor Jinn

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ

Ka annahunnal yaaqootu wal marjaan

As if they were the rubies and the coral

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ

Hal jazaaa'ul ihsaani illal ihsaan

Is the Recompense of goodness except for the goodness?

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ

Wa min doonihimaa jannataan

And besides these two are two (other) Gardens

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ

Mudhaaammataan

Both being plush green

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ

Feehimaa 'aynaani nad daakhataan

In both of them are two gushing springs

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

فِيهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ

Feehimaa faakihatunw wa nakhlunw wa rummaan

In both of them are fruits, and palm trees, and pomegranates

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌ

Feehinna khairaatun hisaan

Therein are the good and beautiful females

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ

Hoorum maqsooraatun fil khiyaam

Houries restrained in the pavilions

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ

Lam yatmis hunna insun qablahum wa laa jaaann

Neither have ever been touched by a human before nor by Jinn

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ

Muttaki'eena 'alaa rafrafin khudrinw wa 'abqariyyin hisaan

Reclining upon green cushions, and ingeniously (decorated), beautiful

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

So, which of the Favours of your Lord will you two belie?

تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ

Tabaarakasmu Rabbika Zil-Jalaali wal-Ikraam

Blessed is the Name of your Lord, with the Majesty and the Honour!
