Al-Jinn

قُلْ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ أَنَّهُ ٱسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْءَانًا عَجَبًا

Qul oohiya ilaiya annna hustama'a nafarum minal jinni faqaalooo innaa sami'naa quraanan ajaba

Say: ‘It is Revealed unto me that a number of the Jinn listened intently and they said, ‘We heard an amazing recitation!’

يَهْدِىٓ إِلَى ٱلرُّشْدِ فَـَٔامَنَّا بِهِۦ ۖ وَلَن نُّشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَآ أَحَدًا

Yahdeee ilar rushdi fa aamannaa bihee wa lan nushrika bi rabbinaaa 'ahada

Guiding to the right way, so we (jins) believe in it, and we will never associate any one with our Lord

وَأَنَّهُۥ تَعَـٰلَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا ٱتَّخَذَ صَـٰحِبَةً وَلَا وَلَدًا

Wa annahoo Ta'aalaa jaddu Rabbinaa mat'takhaza saahibatanw wa laa walada

And that He - Exalted be the Majesty of our Lord - has neither taken a female companion, nor a son

وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ شَطَطًا

Wa annahoo kaana yaqoolu safeehunaa 'al allahi shatata

And that our foolish ones were saying an enormity (outrageous things) upon Allah

وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن تَقُولَ ٱلْإِنسُ وَٱلْجِنُّ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا

Wa annaa zanannaaa al lan taqoolal insu wal jinnu 'al allahi kaziba

And surely, we (Momin jins) never thought that the humans and the Jinn would be saying a lie upon Allah’

وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقًا

Wa annahoo kaana rijaalun minal insi ya'oozoona bi rijaalin minal jinni fa zaadoohum rahaqa

And it so happened that men from the humans were seeking refuge with the person from the Jinn, so it increased them in burden

وَأَنَّهُمْ ظَنُّوا۟ كَمَا ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَبْعَثَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدًا

Wa annahum zannoo kamaa zanantum al lany yab'asal laahu 'ahada

And they thought just as you thought, that Allah will never Send anyone

وَأَنَّا لَمَسْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ فَوَجَدْنَـٰهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًا شَدِيدًا وَشُهُبًا

Wa annaa lamasnas samaaa'a fa wajadnaahaa muli'at harasan shadeedanw wa shuhuba

And we touched the sky, but we found it filled with strong guards and meteors (and shootings stars)

وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَـٰعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِ ۖ فَمَن يَسْتَمِعِ ٱلْـَٔانَ يَجِدْ لَهُۥ شِهَابًا رَّصَدًا

Wa annaa kunnaa naq'udu minhaa maqaa'ida lis'sam'i famany yastami'il 'aana yajid lahoo shihaabar rasada

And we (jins) used to sit in (some of the) sittings from it. But, one who tries to listen it now, would find meteors waiting for him

وَأَنَّا لَا نَدْرِىٓ أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَمْ أَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَدًا

Wa annaa laa nadreee asharrun ureeda biman fil ardi 'am 'araada bihim rabbuhum rashada

And we (Monin jins) do not know whether evil is intended with ones in the earth or whether their Lord Intends rightful Guidance with them

وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ كُنَّا طَرَآئِقَ قِدَدًا

Wa annaa minnas saalihoona wa minnaa doona zaalika kunnaa taraaa'iqa qidada

And surely, from us (jins) are the righteous ones, and from us are ones besides that. We happen to be on different ways

وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن نُّعْجِزَ ٱللَّهَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَن نُّعْجِزَهُۥ هَرَبًا

Wa annaa zanan naaa al lan nu'jizal laaha fil ardi wa lan nu'jizahoo haraba

And surely, we (moin jins) thought that we will never (be able to) frustrate Allah in the earth, and we will never (be able to) escape Him by fleeing

وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعْنَا ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ ۖ فَمَن يُؤْمِنۢ بِرَبِّهِۦ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخْسًا وَلَا رَهَقًا

Wa annaa lammaa sami'nal hudaaa aamannaa bihee famany yu'min bi rabbihee falaa yakhaafu bakhsanw wa laa rahaqa

And we, when we (momin jins) heard the Guidance, we believed in it. So, one who believes in his Lord, then he will neither fear loss nor any burden

وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلْمُسْلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا ٱلْقَـٰسِطُونَ ۖ فَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ تَحَرَّوْا۟ رَشَدًا

Wa annaa minnal muslimoona wa minnal qaasitoona faman aslama fa ulaaa'ika taharraw rashada

And surely, from us (monin jins) are the submitters, and from us are the deviated ones. So one who submits, then they are seeking the rightful Guidance

وَأَمَّا ٱلْقَـٰسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا۟ لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًا

Wa ammal qaasitoona fa kaanoo li jahannama hataba

And as for the deviated ones, so they would be fuel for Hell

وَأَلَّوِ ٱسْتَقَـٰمُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسْقَيْنَـٰهُم مَّآءً غَدَقًا

Wa alla wis taqaamoo 'alat tareeqati la asqaynaahum maa'an ghadaqa

And if they are steadfast upon the right Way, We (Allah) would Quench them (with) abundant water

لِّنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَن يُعْرِضْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِۦ يَسْلُكْهُ عَذَابًا صَعَدًا

Linaftinahum feeh; wa many yu'rid 'an zikri rabbihee yasluk hu 'azaaban sa'ada

For Us to Try them regarding him (Amir Al-Momineen-asws). And one who turns away from Zikr of his Lord, He (Allah-azwj) would Thrust him into the ever-increasing Punishment

وَأَنَّ ٱلْمَسَـٰجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدًا

Wa annal masaajida lil laahi falaa tad'oo ma'al laahi 'ahada

And surely, the places of Sajdah are for Allah, therefore do not call upon anyone (else) with Allah

وَأَنَّهُۥ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ ٱللَّهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا۟ يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا

Wa annahoo lammaa qaama 'abdul laahi yad'oohu kaadoo yakoonoona 'alaihi libada

And that when Abdullah (Rasool Allah) stood calling (to) him (Amir Al-Momineen-asws), they almost became crowding upon him

قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَدْعُوا۟ رَبِّى وَلَآ أُشْرِكُ بِهِۦٓ أَحَدًا

Qul innamaaa ad'oo rabbee wa laaa ushriku biheee 'ahada

Say: ‘But rather, I call my Lord and I do not associate anyone with the Ahad (Alone)’

قُلْ إِنِّى لَآ أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا رَشَدًا

Qul innee laaa amliku lakum darranw wa laa rashada

Say: ‘I cannot not control for you, neither harm nor rightful Guidance’

قُلْ إِنِّى لَن يُجِيرَنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدٌ وَلَنْ أَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلْتَحَدًا

Qul innee lany yujeeranee minal laahi 'ahadunw, wa lan ajida min doonihee multahada

Say: ‘Surely no one can ever protect me from Allah, and I will never find a shelter from besides Him’

إِلَّا بَلَـٰغًا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِسَـٰلَـٰتِهِۦ ۚ وَمَن يَعْصِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا

Illaa balaagham minal laahi wa risaalaatih; wa many ya'sil laaha wa rasoolahoo fa inna lahoo naara jahannama khaalideena feehaaa 'abada

It is only a delivery from Allah and His Message. And one who disobeys Allah and His Rasool, then for him is Fire of Hell, abiding therein for ever

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوْا۟ مَا يُوعَدُونَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَضْعَفُ نَاصِرًا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدًا

Hattaaa izaa ra aw maa yoo'adoona fasaya'lamoona man ad'afu naasiranw wa aqallu 'adada

Until when they see what they are being threatened with, then they would come to know who is with weaker helpers and fewer number

قُلْ إِنْ أَدْرِىٓ أَقَرِيبٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ أَمْ يَجْعَلُ لَهُۥ رَبِّىٓ أَمَدًا

Qul in adreee a qareebum maa too'adoona am yaj'alu lahoo rabbeee 'amada

Say: ‘I (Rasool Allah) don’t know if it is near, what you are being Threatened (with), or whether my Lord has Made a term for it

عَـٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ فَلَا يُظْهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَيْبِهِۦٓ أَحَدًا

'Aalimul ghaibi falaa yuzhiru alaa ghaibiheee 'ahada

(He is) Knower of the unseen, and He does not Reveal His hidden matters upon anyone

إِلَّا مَنِ ٱرْتَضَىٰ مِن رَّسُولٍ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَسْلُكُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِۦ رَصَدًا

Illaa manir tadaa mir rasoolin fa innahoo yasluku min baini yadaihi wa min khalfihee rasada

Except one He Chooses from a Rasool, for He would Make a guard (Amir Al-Momineen-asws) to travel in front of him and from behind him

لِّيَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ أَبْلَغُوا۟ رِسَـٰلَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَأَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ وَأَحْصَىٰ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عَدَدًۢا

Liya'lama an qad ablaghoo risaalaati rabbihim wa ahaata bi maa ladaihim wa ahsaa kulla shai'in 'adada

For Him to Know that they have delivered the Messages of their Lord, and He Encompasses whatever is with them, and He Counts the number of all things
