Al-Mursalat

وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِ عُرْفًا

Wal mursalaati'urfaa

(I Swear) By the (messengers) sent forth for a purpose (consecutively)

فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصْفًا

Fal'aasifaati 'asfaa

And the stormers (angels) storming (dead from graves)

وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا

Wannaashiraati nashraa

And the promoters publicising (outcome of deeds)

فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرْقًا

Falfaariqaati farqaa

And the separators separating (believers from disbelievers)

فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا

Falmulqiyaati zikra

And the couriers of the Zikr

عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا

'Uzran aw nuzraa

(To) excuse or warn

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ

Innamaa too'adoona lawaaqi'

Surely, what you are Promised will occur

فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ

Fa izam nujoomu tumisat

So, when the stars are dimmed

وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ

Wa izas samaaa'u furijat

And when the sky is rent asunder (torn apart)

وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ

Wa izal jibaalu nusifat

And when the mountains are blown away

وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ

Wa izar Rusulu uqqitat

And when the Rasools are gathered at appointed times

لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ

Li ayyi yawmin ujjilat

To which day is the respite?

لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ

Li yawmil Fasl

To a Day of Decision

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ

Wa maaa adraaka maa yawmul fasl

And what will make you realise what is the Day of Decision?

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Wailuny yawma 'izillilmukazzibeen

Woe on that Day is for the beliers

أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Alam nuhlikil awwaleen

Did We not destroy the former ones?

ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ

Summa nutbi'uhumul aakhireen

Then We followed them up with the latter ones

كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

Kazzalika naf'alu bilmujrimeen

Like that We Deal with the criminals

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Wailunw yawma 'izil lil mukazzibeen

Woe on that Day is for the beliers

أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ

Alam nakhlukkum mimmaaa'im maheen

Did We not Create you all from contemptible water?

فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ

Faja'alnaahu fee qaraarim makeen

Then We Made it to be in a secure place

إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ

Illaa qadrim ma'loom

Up to a known determination

فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ

Faqadarnaa fani'mal qaadiroon

So, We Determine, and We are excellent Determiners

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Woe on that Day is for the beliers

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا

Alam naj'alil arda kifaataa

Did We not Make the earth like a receptacle

أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا

Ahyaaa'anw wa amwaataa

(For) the living and the dead?

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا

Wa ja'alnaa feehaa rawaasiya shaamikhaatinw wa asqainaakum maaa'an furaataa

And made therein lofty peaks, and Quench you (with the) fresh water?

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Woe on that Day is for the beliers

ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ

Intaliqooo ilaa maa kuntum bihee tukazziboon

Go on towards what you were belying with!

ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ

Intaliqooo ilaa zillin zee salaasi shu'ab

Go on towards a shade with three branches!

لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ

Laa zaleelinw wa laa yughnee minal lahab

Neither shading nor availing from the flame

إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ

Innahaa tarmee bishararin kalqasr

It throws out sparks like towers

كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ

Ka annahoo jimaalatun sufr

As if it was a string of yellow camels

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmukazibeen

Woe on that Day is for the beliers

هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ

Haazaa yawmu laa yantiqoon

This is a Day they will not be speaking

وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ

Wa laa yu'zanu lahum fa ya'taziroon

Nor will there be any Permission for them to be offering excuses

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Wailunw yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Woe on that Day is for the beliers

هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Haaza yawmul fasli jama 'naakum wal awwaleen

This is the Day of decision. We Gathered you and the former ones

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ

Fa in kaana lakum kaidun fakeedoon

So, if there was a plot for you, then plot against Me

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Wailuny yawma'izil lilmukazzibeen

Woe on that Day is for the beliers

إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ

Innal muttaqeena fee zilaalinw wa 'uyoon

Surely, pious would be amid shades and springs

وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ

Wa fawaakiha mimmaa yashtahoon

And fruits from whatever they would be desiring

كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Kuloo washraboo haneee 'am bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

Eat and drink enjoying due to what you had been doing

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Innaa kazaalika najzil muhsineen

Surely, like that We Recompense the good doers

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmuzkazzibeen

Woe on that Day is for the beliers

كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ

Kuloo wa tamatta'oo qaleelan innakum mujrimoon

Eat and enjoy yourselves a little (in the world), you are criminals

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Wailunny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Woe on that Day is for the beliers

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ

Wa izaa qeela lahumur ka'oo laa yarka'oon

And when it is said to them: ‘Bow down!’ They are not bowing down

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Wailunny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Woe on that Day is for the beliers

فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Fabi ayyi hadeesim ba'dahoo yu'minoon

So, in which Hadeeth after it will they believe?
