Al-Infitar

إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ

Izas samaaa'un fatarat

When the sky is burst apart

وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ

Wa izal kawaakibun tasarat

And when the planets are scattered

وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ

Wa izal bihaaru fujjirat

And when the oceans spill forth

وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ

Wa izal qubooru bu'sirat

And when the graves are overturned

عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ

Alimat nafsum maa qaddamat wa akhkharat

Every soul shall know what it had sent ahead and delayed

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ

Yaaa ayyuhal insaaanu maa gharraka bi Rabbikal kareem

O you, the human being! What lured you away from your generous Lord

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ

Allazee khalaqaka fasaw waaka fa'adalak

Who Created you, so He Completed you, then Made you symmetrical

فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ

Feee ayye sooratim maa shaaa'a rakkabak

Into whichever image He so Desires, He Constitutes you

كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ

Kalla bal tukazziboona bid deen

Nevertheless, you still belie the Judgement

وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَـٰفِظِينَ

Wa inna 'alaikum lahaa fizeen

And surely upon you are keepers (preservers)

كِرَامًا كَـٰتِبِينَ

Kiraaman kaatibeen

Two honourable recorders

يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ

Ya'lamoona ma taf'aloon

They know what you are doing

إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ

Innal abraara lafee na'eem

Surely, the righteous would be in Bliss (Paradise)

وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ

Wa innal fujjaara lafee jaheem

And surely the wicked would be in the Blazing Fire

يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ

Yaslawnahaa Yawmad Deen

They shall be arriving to it on the Day of the Reckoning

وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ

Wa maa hum 'anhaa bighaaa 'ibeen

And they would not be absentees from it

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ

Wa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen

And what will make you realize what the Day of Reckoning is?

ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ

Summa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen

Again, what will make you realize what the Day of Reckoning is?

يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ

Yawma laa tamliku nafsul linafsin shai'anw walamru yawma'izil lillaah

The Day on which no soul shall control anything for a soul; and the Command on that Day will be for Allah
