Al-Inshiqaq

إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ

Izas samaaa'un shaqqat

When the sky splits open

وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ

Wa azinat li Rabbihaa wa huqqat

And listen to its Lord as it is ought to be

وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ

Wa izal ardu muddat

And when the earth is flatten out

وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ

Wa alqat maa feehaa wa takhallat

And throws out whatever is within it and empties out

وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ

Wa azinat li Rabbihaa wa huqqat

And listen to its Lord as it is it ought to

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَـٰقِيهِ

Yaaa ayyuhal insaanu innaka kaadihun ilaa Rabbika kad han famulaaqeeh

O you the human beings! You should strive to your Lord with a striving, for you will meet Him

فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ

Fa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo biyameenih

So, as for one Given his Book in his right hand

فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا

Fasawfa yuhaasabu hi saabai yaseeraa

Then soon he would be Reckoned an easy Reckoning

وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا

Wa yanqalibu ilaaa ahlihee masrooraa

And he shall go back to his family joyful

وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ

Wa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo waraaa'a zahrih

And as for one Given his Book behind his back

فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا

Fasawfa yad'oo subooraa

He shall call for perdition

وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا

Wa yaslaa sa'eeraa

And arrive to a Blazing Fire

إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا

Innahoo kaana feee ahlihee masrooraa

He used to be joyful among his family (world)

إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ

Innahoo zanna al lai yahoor

Surely, he thought that he would never return (to Allah)

بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًا

Balaaa inna Rabbahoo kaana bihee baseeraa

Yes! Surely, his Lord was Insightful with him

فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ

Falaaa uqsimu bishshafaq

But no! I swear by the redness at sunset

وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ

Wallaili wa maa wasaq

And the night and that which it drives on

وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ

Walqamari izat tasaq

And the moon when it becomes full

لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ

Latarkabunna tabaqan 'an tabaq

You will be indulging in a state after a state

فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Famaa lahum laa yu'minoon

So, what is the matter with them, they are not believing?

وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩

Wa izaa quri'a 'alaihimul Quraanu laa yasjudoon (make sajda)

And when the Quran is recited to them they are not doing Sajdah?

بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُكَذِّبُونَ

Balil lazeena kafaroo yukazziboon

But those who commit Kufr are belying

وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ

Wallaahu a'lamu bimaa yoo'oon

And Allah is more Knowing of what they are keeping within themselves

فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ

Fabashshirhum bi'azaabin aleem

Therefore, announce tell to them a painful Punishment

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۭ

Illal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum ajrun ghairu mamnoon

Except those who believe and do the righteous deeds, for them would be a never-ending Recompense
