Ad-Duhaa
The Morning Hours · 11 verses
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
Wal laili iza sajaa
And (I Swear) by the night which spreads the darkness
Tafseer · the whole surahمَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
Ma wad da'aka rabbuka wa ma qalaa
(O Prophet) Your Lord has neither forsaken (abandoned) you, and nor He is displeased (with you)
Tafseer · the whole surahوَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
Walal-aakhiratu khairul laka minal-oola
And the Hereafter is better for you than the first (life)
Tafseer · the whole surahوَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ
Wa la sawfa y'uteeka rabbuka fatarda
And soon your Lord will Give you, so you will be pleased
Tafseer · the whole surahأَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
Alam ya jidka yateeman fa aawaa
Did He not Find you an orphan so He Sheltered?
Tafseer · the whole surahوَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ
Wa wa jadaka daal lan fahada
And Found you lost (unknown) so He Guided (people to you)?
Tafseer · the whole surahوَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ
Wa wa jadaka 'aa-ilan fa aghnaa
And Found you in need, so He made (you) Needless (of people)?
Tafseer · the whole surahفَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ
Fa am mal yateema fala taqhar
Then, as for the orphan, so do not subdue
Tafseer · the whole surahوَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ
Wa am mas saa-ila fala tanhar
And as for the beggar, so do not repel
Tafseer · the whole surahوَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ
Wa amma bi ni'mati rabbika fahad dith
And as for a (grand) Favour of your Lord, so keep on announcing (it)
