باب 46 زيارات ليالي شهر رمضان و أعمالها المختصة بهذا المكان
CHAPTER 46 – ZIYARAT ON THE NIGHTS OF A MONTH OF RAMAZAN AND THEIR ACTS OF WORSHIP SPECIFIC WITH THIS PLACE
1- قل، إقبال الأعمال عَنْ أَبِي الْمُفَضَّلِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِنْ كِتَابِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ النَّهْدِيِّ فِي حَدِيثٍ يَقُولُ فِيهِ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ ع أَنَّهُ قِيلَ لَهُ فَمَا تَرَى لِمَنْ حَضَرَ قَبْرَهُ يَعْنِي الْحُسَيْنَ ع لَيْلَةَ النِّصْفِ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ
(The book) ‘Iqbal Al Amaal’ – from Abu Al Mufazzal Al Shaybani, by his chain from the book of Ali Bin Abdul Wahid Al Nahdy in a Haddees in it,
‘From Al-Sadiq-asws, it was said to him-asws, ‘What is your-asws view of the one who attends his-asws grave, meaning Al-Husayn-asws, on the night of the middle of a month of Ramazan?’
فَقَالَ بَخْ بَخْ مَنْ صَلَّى عِنْدَ قَبْرِهِ لَيْلَةَ النِّصْفِ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ عَشْرَ رَكَعَاتٍ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْعِشَاءِ مِنْ غَيْرِ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ يَقْرَأُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ وَ اسْتَجَارَ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ النَّارِ كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَتِيقاً مِنَ النَّارِ وَ لَمْ يَمُتْ حَتَّى يُرَى فِي مَنَامِهِ مَلَائِكَةً يُبَشِّرُونَهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ وَ مَلَائِكَةً يُؤْمِنُونَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ.
He-asws said: ‘Congratulations! Congratulations to the one who prays ten units Salat by his-asws on the night of the middle of a month of Ramazan from after Al-Isha, other than Salat Al-Layl, reading in each unit with Surah Al Fatiha, and Surah Al Tawheed ten times, and seeks shelter with Allah-azwj from the Fire, Allah-azwj will Write him as liberated from the Fire, and he will not die until he sees in his dream Angels giving glad tidings of the Paradise, and Angels securing him from the Hellfire!’’[1]
أقول: قد مر بيان فضل زيارته صلوات الله عليه في أول شهر رمضان و وسطه و آخره فليزره ع فيها ببعض الزيارات المطلقة لعدم ورود زيارة مخصوصة.
I say, ‘It has already passed, explanation of visiting him-asws, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon him-asws, in the beginning of a month of Ramazan, and its middle, and its end, peace be upon him-asws, let him visit him-asws during these with one of the general Ziyaraats due to lack of reports of the specific ones’.
2- وَ قَالَ الْمُفِيدُ وَ السَّيِّدُ وَ الشَّهِيدُ رَحِمَهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنَ الزِّيَارَاتِ الْمَخْصُوصَةِ زِيَارَةُ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ وَ يَوْمَيِ الْعِيدَيْنِ فَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ زِيَارَتَهُ ع فِي الْأَوْقَاتِ الْمَذْكُورَةِ فَأْتِ مَشْهَدَهُ الْمُقَدَّسَ بَعْدَ أَنْ تَغْتَسِلَ وَ تَلْبَسَ أَطْهَرَ ثِيَابِكَ فَإِذَا وَقَفْتَ عَلَى قَبْرِهِ فَاسْتَقْبِلْهُ بِوَجْهِكَ وَ اجْعَلِ الْقِبْلَةَ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْكَ وَ قُلِ
And Al-Mufeed and the Seyyid and Al-Shaheed, may Allah-azwj Mercy them, said, ‘From the specific Ziyaraats is Ziyarat of Laylat Al-Qadr and two days of the Eids. When you want to visit him-asws during the mentioned timings, come to his-asws Holy Shrine after having bathed, and weal your clean clothes! When you pause at his-asws grave, face him-asws with your face and make the Qiblah to be between your shoulders and say,
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الصِّدِّيقَةِ الطَّاهِرَةِ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
‘The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of Amir Al-Momineen-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of the truthful, the pure (Syeda) Fatima-asws, chieftess of women of the worlds! The greeting be upon you-asws my master, O Abu Abdullah-asws, and Mercy of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Blessings!
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ أَقَمْتَ الصَّلَاةَ وَ آتَيْتَ الزَّكَاةَ وَ أَمَرْتَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَ نَهَيْتَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَ تَلَوْتَ الْكِتَابَ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهِ وَ جَاهَدْتَ فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ وَ صَبَرْتَ عَلَى الْأَذَى فِي جَنْبِهِ مُحْتَسِباً حَتَّى أَتَاكَ الْيَقِينُ
I testify you-asws had established the Salat and gave the Zakat, and instructed with the good and forbade from the evil, and recited the Book as is the right of reciting it, and fought for the Sake of Allah-azwj as is the right of fighting it, and were patient upon the harm for His-azwj Side in anticipation until the certainty (death) came to you-asws!
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ الَّذِينَ خَالَفُوكَ وَ حَارَبُوكَ وَ الَّذِينَ خَذَلُوكَ وَ الَّذِينَ قَتَلُوكَ مَلْعُونُونَ عَلَى لِسَانِ النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِ وَ قَدْ خابَ مَنِ افْتَرى لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الظَّالِمِينَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَ الْآخِرِينَ وَ ضَاعَفَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ
I testify that those who opposed you-asws and battled you-asws, and those who abandoned you-asws and those who killed you-asws are accursed upon the tongue of the Ummy Prophet-saww, and one who fabricates will be disappointed! May Allah-azwj Curse the oppressors of yours, from the former ones and the latter ones, and Double the painful Punishment upon them!
أَتَيْتُكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ زَائِراً عَارِفاً بِحَقِّكَ مُوَالِياً لِأَوْلِيَائِكَ مُعَادِياً لِأَعْدَائِكَ مُسْتَبْصِراً بِالْهُدَى الَّذِي أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِ عَارِفاً بِضَلَالَةِ مَنْ خَالَفَكَ فَاشْفَعْ لِي عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ
I have come to you-asws, O my master, O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww, as a visitor, knowing of your-asws rights, a friend to your-asws friends, an enemy to your-asws enemies, insightful with the guidance which you-asws upon, recognising the straying of the ones opposing you-asws, so intercede for me in the Presence of your-asws Lord-azwj!’
ثُمَّ انْكَبَّ عَلَى الْقَبْرِ وَ ضَعْ خَدَّكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ تَحَوَّلْ عَلَى عِنْدِ الرَّأْسِ وَ قُلِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللَّهِ فِي أَرْضِهِ وَ سَمَائِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى رُوحِكَ الطَّيِّبِ وَ جَسَدِكَ الطَّاهِرِ وَ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ يَا مَوْلَايَ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
Then devote upon the grave and place your cheek upon it and transfer to be by the head and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O Divine Authority of Allah-azwj in His-azwj earth and His-azwj sky! May Allah-azwj Send Salawaat upon your-asws goodly soul and your-asws pure body, and upon you-asws be the greeting, O my master, and Mercy of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Blessings!’
ثُمَّ انْكَبَّ عَلَى الْقَبْرِ وَ قَبِّلْهُ وَ ضَعْ خَدَّكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ انْحَرِفْ إِلَى عِنْدِ الرَّأْسِ فَصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ لِلزِّيَارَةِ وَ صَلِّ بَعْدَهُمَا مَا تَيَسَّرَ ثُمَّ تَحَوَّلْ إِلَى عِنْدِ الرِّجْلَيْنِ وَ زُرْ عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَ قُلْ
Then devote upon the grave and kiss it, and place your cheek upon it and turn to be by the head. Pray two units Salat of the Ziyarat, and after these pray whatever is easy. Then transfer to be by the legs and visit Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws (Ali Al-Akbar-asws), may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon him-asws, and say,
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ وَ ابْنَ مَوْلَايَ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ ظَلَمَكَ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ قَتَلَكَ وَ ضَاعَفَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ وَ ادْعُ بِمَا تُرِيدُ
‘The greeting be upon you-asws O my master and son-asws of my master, and Mercy of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Blessings! May Allah-azwj Curse the one who oppressed you-asws, and may Allah-azwj Curse the one who killed you-asws and Double the painful Punishment upon them!’, and supplicate with whatever you want.
ثُمَّ زُرِ الشُّهَدَاءَ مُنْحَرِفاً مِنْ عِنْدِ الرِّجْلَيْنِ إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ فَقُلْ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَيُّهَا الصِّدِّيقُونَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَيُّهَا الشُّهَدَاءُ الصَّابِرُونَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكُمْ جَاهَدْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَ صَبَرْتُمْ عَلَى الْأَذَى فِي جَنْبِ اللَّهِ وَ نَصَحْتُمْ لِلَّهِ وَ لِرَسُولِهِ حَتَّى أَتَاكُمُ الْيَقِينُ
Then visit the martyrs diverting from being by the legs to the Qiblah, and say, ‘The greeting be upon you, O truthful ones! The greeting be upon you, O the martyrs, the patient ones! I testify you had fought in the way of Allah-azwj, and were patient upon the harm in the Side of Allah-azwj, and advised for Allah-azwj and for His-azwj Rasool-saww until the certainty (death) came to you all!
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكُمْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْزَقُونَ فَجَزَاكُمُ اللَّهُ عَنِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَ أَهْلِهِ أَفْضَلَ جَزَاءِ الْمُحْسِنِينَ وَ جَمَعَ اللَّهُ بَيْنَا وَ بَيْنَكُمْ فِي مَحَلِّ النَّعِيمِ
I testify you are all alive in the Presence of your Lord-azwj being sustained. May Allah-azwj Reward you on behalf of Al-Islam and its people, the best Reward of the good doers, and may Allah-azwj Gather between us and you in the place of bliss!’
ثُمَّ امْضِ إِلَى مَشْهَدِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع فَإِذَا وَقَفْتَ عَلَيْهِ فَقُلْ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ الْمُطِيعُ لِلَّهِ وَ لِرَسُولِهِ
Then continue to the Shrine of Al-Abbas-asws Bin Amir Al-Momineen-asws. When you pause to him-asws, say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of Amir Al-Momineen-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O the righteous servant, the obedient to Allah-azwj and to His-azwj Rasool-saww!
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ جَاهَدْتَ وَ نَصَحْتَ وَ صَبَرْتَ حَتَّى أَتَاكَ الْيَقِينُ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الظَّالِمِينَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَ الْآخِرِينَ وَ أَلْحَقَهُمْ بِدَرَكِ الْجَحِيمِ.
I testify that you-asws had fought and advised and were patient until the certainty (death) came to you-asws! May Allah-azwj Curse the oppressors of yours, from the former ones and the latter ones, and Join them with a level of the Blazing Fire!’’[2]
بيان: قال السيد رحمه الله هذه الزيارة مختصة بليلة القدر و يزار بها في العيدين.
Explanation – The Seyyid, may Allah-azwj Mercy him, said, ‘This Ziyarat is specific with Laylat Al-Qadr, and one can perform Ziyarat with it during the two Eids’.
3- وَ قَالَ مُؤَلِّفُ الْمَزَارِ الْكَبِيرِ زِيَارَةٌ مُخْتَصَرَةٌ يُزَارُ الْحُسَيْنُ ع بِهَا فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ وَ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ بِالْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّادِقِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ع قَالَ: إِذَا أَرَدْتَ زِيَارَةَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فَلْتَأْتِ مَشْهَدَهُ بَعْدَ أَنْ تَغْتَسِلَ وَ تَلْبَسَ أَطْهَرَ ثِيَابِكَ وَ سَاقَ الزِّيَارَاتِ نَحْواً مِمَّا مَرَّ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ بِدَرَكِ الْجَحِيمِ ثُمَّ قَالَ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي فِي مَسْجِدِهِ تَطَوُّعاً مَا أَرَادَ وَ يَنْصَرِفُ.
And the compiler of ‘Al-Mazaar Al-Kabeer’ said, ‘A specific Ziyarat on have visit Al-Husayn-asws with during Laylat Al Qadr and during the two Eids, by the chain from Abu Abdullah Al-Sadiq Ja’far-asws Bin Muhammad-asws having said: ‘When you want to visit Abu Abdullah-asws, come to his-asws Shrine after having bathed, and wear your clean clothes’ – and he-asws continued the Ziyarat approximate to what has passed upon to his words, ‘With a level of the Blazing Fire’! Then he-asws said: ‘The he should pray Salat voluntarily in his-asws Masjid whatever he wants, and leave’’.[3]
باب 47 زيارته صلوات الله عليه في ليلتي عيد الفطر و عيد الأضحى
CHAPTER 47 – HIS-asws ZIYARAT, MAY THE SALAWAAT OF ALLAH-azwj BE UPON HIM-asws, DURING THE TWO NIGHTS OF EID AL FITR AND EID AL-AZHA
1- قَالَ الْمُفِيدُ وَ السَّيِّدُ وَ الشَّهِيدُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ إِذَا أَرَدْتَ زِيَارَتَهُ فِي اللَّيْلَتَيْنِ الْمَذْكُورَتَيْنِ فَقِفْ عَلَى بَابِ الْقُبَّةِ وَ ارْمِ بِطَرْفِكَ نَحْوَ الْقَبْرِ مُسْتَأْذِناً فَقُلْ
Al-Mufeed, and the Seyyid, and Al-Shaheed, may Allah-azwj be Pleased with them, said, ‘When you want to visit him-asws during the two mentioned nights, pause at a door of the dome and shoot your glance towards the grave seeking permission. Say,
يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ عَبْدُكَ وَ ابْنُ أَمَتِكَ الذَّلِيلُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ وَ الْمُصَغَّرُ فِي عُلُوِّ قَدْرِكَ وَ الْمُعْتَرِفُ بِحَقِّكَ جَاءَكَ مُسْتَجِيراً بِكَ قَاصِداً إِلَى حَرَمِكَ مُتَوَجِّهاً إِلَى مَقَامِكَ مُتَوَسِّلًا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى بِكَ
‘O my master! O Abu Abdullah-asws, O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww! Your-asws servant, and son of your-asws maid, the humble in front of you-asws, the small in the elevation of your-asws worth, and the acknowledger of your-asws right has come to you-asws seeking shelter with you-asws, aiming to your-asws Shrine, diverting to your-asws place, seeking means to Allah-azwj the Exalted through you-asws!
أَ أَدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلَايَ أَ أَدْخُلُ يَا وَلِيَّ اللَّهِ أَ أَدْخُلُ يَا مَلَائِكَةَ اللَّهِ الْمُحْدِقِينَ بِهَذَا الْحَرَمِ الْمُقِيمِينَ فِي هَذَا الْمَشْهَدِ
Can I enter O my master? Can I enter O Guardian of Allah-azwj? Can I enter O Angels of Allah-azwj, the ones gazing at this Shrine, resident in this Mausoleum!’
فَإِنْ خَشَعَ قَلْبُكَ وَ دَمَعَتْ عَيْنُكَ فَأَدْخِلْ رِجْلَكَ الْيُمْنَى قَبْلَ الْيُسْرَى وَ قُلْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَ بِاللَّهِ وَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَ عَلَى مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَ أَنْزِلْنِي مُنْزَلًا مُبارَكاً وَ أَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنْزِلِينَ
If your heart is fearful and your eyes shed tears, enter your right leg before the left, and say, ‘In the Name of Allah-azwj, and by Allah-azwj, and in the way of Allah-azwj and upon the religion of Rasool-Allah-saww! O Allah-azwj! Disembark me in a Blessed landing, and you are the best of the Landers’ [23:29]!’
ثُمَّ قُلْ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيراً وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيراً وَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَ أَصِيلًا وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الْفَرْدِ الصَّمَدِ الْمَاجِدِ الْأَحَدِ الْمُتَفَضِّلَ الْمَنَّانِ الْمُتَطَوِّلِ الْحَنَّانِ الَّذِي مِنْ تَطَوُّلِهِ سَهَّلَ لِي زِيَارَةَ مَوْلَايَ بِإِحْسَانِهِ وَ لَمْ يَجْعَلْنِي عَنْ زِيَارَتِهِ مَمْنُوعاً وَ لَا عَنْ ذِمَّتِهِ مَدْفُوعاً بَلْ تَطَوَّلَ وَ مَنَحَ
Then say, ‘Allah-azwj is Greatest of the greats, and the Praise is for Allah-azwj a lot, and Glory be to Allah-azwj morning and evening, and the Praise is for Allah-azwj the Unique, the non-hollow, the Glorious, the First, the Gracious, the Bestower, the Generous, the Affectionate Who from His-azwj Generosity Facilitated for me Ziyarat of my master by His-azwj Favour, and did not Make me prevented from visiting him-asws, nor repelled from His-azwj Guarantee, but He-azwj Extended and Granted!’
ثُمَّ ادْخُلْ فَإِذَا تَوَسَّطْتَ وَ صِرْتَ حِذَاءَ الْقَبْرِ فَقُمْ حِذَاءَهُ بِخُضُوعٍ وَ بُكَاءٍ وَ تَضَرُّعٍ وَ قُلْ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ آدَمَ صَفْوَةِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ نُوحٍ أَمِينِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُوسَى كَلِيمِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِيسَى رُوحِ اللَّهِ
Then enter. When you are in the middle and come to be parallel to the grave, stand facing it and cry and beseech, and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Adam-as elite of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Noah-as trustee of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Ibrahim-as friend of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Musa-as converser with Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Isa-as Spirit of Allah-azwj!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدٍ ص حَبِيبِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عَلِيٍّ حُجَّةِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الْوَصِيُّ الْبَرُّ التَّقِيُّ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ اللَّهِ وَ ابْنَ ثَارِهِ وَ الْوِتْرَ الْمَوْتُورَ
The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Muhammad-saww Beloved of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Ali-asws Divine Authority of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O the successor, the righteous, the pious! The greeting be upon you-asws O retaliator of Allah-azwj and son-asws of His-azwj retaliator, and the single one Singled out!
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ أَقَمْتَ الصَّلَاةَ وَ آتَيْتَ الزَّكَاةَ وَ أَمَرْتَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَ نَهَيْتَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَ جَاهَدْتَ فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ حَتَّى اسْتُبِيحَ حَرَمُكَ وَ قُتِلْتَ مَظْلُوماً
I testify you-asws had established the Salat and gave the Zakat, and instructed with the good and forbade from the evil, and fought for the Sake of Allah-azwj as is the right of fighting it until your-asws sanctuary was violated, and you-asws were killed oppressed!’
ثُمَّ قُمْ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ خَاشِعاً قَلْبُكَ دَامِعَةً عَيْنُكَ ثُمَّ قُلْ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ سَيِّدِ الْوَصِيِّينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَطَلَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَا مَوْلَايَ
Then stand by his-asws head, your heart fearful, your eyes tearful, then say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O Abu Abdullah-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww! The greeting be upon you-asws O sons-asws of chief of the successors-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of (Syeda) Fatima-asws, chieftess of women of the worlds! The greeting be upon you-asws O hero of the Muslims, O my master!
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ كُنْتَ نُوراً فِي الْأَصْلَابِ الشَّامِخَةِ وَ الْأَرْحَامِ الْمُطَهَّرَةِ لَمْ تُنَجِّسْكَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةُ بِأَنْجَاسِهَا وَ لَمْ تُلْبِسْكَ مِنْ مُدْلَهِمَّاتِ ثِيَابِهَا وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ مِنْ دَعَائِمِ الدِّينِ وَ أَرْكَانِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَ مَعْقِلِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
I testify you-asws were Noor in the lofty lineage and the pure laps! The pre-Islamic period did not come near you-asws with its uncleanness, and did not clothe you-asws with its darkness by its clothing; and I testify you-asws are from the pillars of religion, and cornerstone of the Muslims, and fortress of the Momineen!
وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ الْإِمَامُ الْبَرُّ التَّقِيُّ الرَّضِيُّ الزَّكِيُّ الْهَادِي الْمَهْدِيُّ وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ الْأَئِمَّةَ مِنْ وُلْدِكَ كَلِمَةُ التَّقْوَى وَ أَعْلَامُ الْهُدَى وَ الْعُرْوَةُ الْوُثْقَى وَ الْحُجَّةُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا
And I testify you-asws are the Imam-asws, the righteous, the pious, the contented, the pure, the guide, the guided; and I testify that the Imams-asws from your-asws sons are the words of piety, and the flags of piety, and the firmest handholds, and the Divine Authority upon people of the world!’
ثُمَّ انْكَبَّ عَلَى الْقَبْرِ وَ قُلْ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَ إِنَّا إِلَيْهِ راجِعُونَ يَا مَوْلَايَ أَنَا مُوَالٍ لِوَلِيِّكُمْ وَ مُعَادٍ لِعَدُوِّكُمْ وَ أَنَا بِكُمْ مُؤْمِنٌ وَ بِإِيَابِكُمْ مُوقِنٌ بِشَرَائِعِ دِينِي وَ خَوَاتِيمِ عَمَلِي وَ قَلْبِي لِقَلْبِكُمْ سِلْمٌ وَ أَمْرِي لِأَمْرِكُمْ مُتَّبِعٌ
Then devote upon the grave and say, ‘We are for Allah-azwj and are returning to Him-azwj! O my master! I am a friend to your friends, and an enemy to your-asws enemies, and I am a believer in you-asws and in your-asws forefathers-asws convinced with laws of my religion, and the outcome of my deeds, and my heart is at peace to your-asws hearts, and my matter is a follow of your-asws matters!
يَا مَوْلَايَ أَتَيْتُكَ خَائِفاً فَآمِنِّي وَ أَتَيْتُكَ مُسْتَجِيراً فَأَجِرْنِي وَ أَتَيْتُكَ فَقِيراً فَأَغْنِنِي سَيِّدِي وَ مَوْلَايَ أَنْتَ مَوْلَايَ حُجَّةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْخَلْقِ أَجْمَعِينَ آمَنْتُ بِسِرِّكُمْ وَ عَلَانِيَتِكُمْ وَ بِظَاهِرِكُمْ وَ بَاطِنِكُمْ وَ أَوَّلِكُمْ وَ آخِرِكُمْ
O my master! I have come to you-asws bare-footed, so secure me, and I have come to you seeking shelter so shelter me, and I have come to you-asws as poor so enrich me my chief and my master! You-asws O my master, are a Divine Authority of Allah-azwj upon the creatures altogether! I believe in your-asws secrets and your-asws announcements, and in your-asws apparent and your esoteric, and your-asws first one and your-asws last one!
وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ التَّالِي لِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَ أَمِينُ اللَّهِ الدَّاعِي إِلَى اللَّهِ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَ الْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً سَمِعَتْ بِذَلِكَ فَرَضِيَتْ بِهِ
And I testify you-asws are a reciter of the Book of Allah-azwj, and trustee of Allah-azwj, the caller to Allah-azwj with the wisdom and excellent preaching! May Allah-azwj Curse the community which oppressed you-asws, and may Allah-azwj Curse the community which heard of that and was pleased with it!’
ثُمَّ صَلِّ عِنْدَ الرَّأْسِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَإِذَا سَلَّمْتَ فَقُلْ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي لَكَ صَلَّيْتُ وَ لَكَ رَكَعْتُ وَ لَكَ سَجَدْتُ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ فَإِنَّهُ لَا تَجُوزُ الصَّلَاةُ وَ الرُّكُوعُ وَ السُّجُودُ إِلَّا لَكَ لِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Then pray two units Salat by the head. When you have performed Salaam, say, ‘O Allah-azwj! I have prayed to You-azwj and have performed Ru’ku to You-azwj, and have performed Sajdah to You-azwj Alone, there is no associate for You-azwj, for the Salat and the Ruk’u and the Sajdah are not allowed except to You-azwj, because You-azwj are Allah-azwj Who, there is no god except You-azwj!
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَبْلِغْهُمْ عَنِّي أَفْضَلَ السَّلَامِ وَ التَّحِيَّةِ وَ ارْدُدْ عَلَيَّ مِنْهُمُ السَّلَامَ
O Allah-azwj! Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww, and Deliver from me the best greeting and the salutation, and Respond the greeting from them-asws to me!
اللَّهُمَّ وَ هَاتَانِ الرَّكْعَتَانِ هَدِيَّةٌ مِنِّي إِلَى سَيِّدِيَ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ع
O Allah-azwj, and these two units of Salat are a gift from me to my chief Al-Husayn-asws Bin Ali-asws!
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عليه [آلِهِ] وَ تَقَبَّلْهُمَا مِنِّي وَ أْجُرْنِي عَلَيْهِمَا أَفْضَلَ أَمَلِي وَ رَجَائِي فِيكَ وَ فِي وَلِيِّكَ يَا وَلِيَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
O Allah-azwj! Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and his-saww Progeny-asws, and accept them-asws both from me, and Reward me for them-asws with the best of my hope and expectation in You-azwj and in Your-azwj Guardian, O Guardian of the Momineen!
ثُمَّ انْكَبَّ عَلَى الْقَبْرِ وَ قَبِّلْهُ وَ قُلْ السَّلَامُ عَلَى الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْمَظْلُومِ الشَّهِيدِ قَتِيلِ الْعَبَرَاتِ أَسِيرِ الْكُرُبَاتِ
Then devote upon the grave and kiss it, and say, ‘The greeting be upon Al-Husayn-asws Bin Ali-asws, the oppressed, the martyr killed tearfully, captive of the distress!
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنَّهُ وَلِيُّكَ وَ ابْنُ وَلِيِّكَ وَ صَفِيُّكَ الثَّائِرُ بِحَقِّكَ أَكْرَمْتَهُ بِكَرَامَتِكَ وَ خَتَمْتَ لَهُ بِالشَّهَادَةِ وَ جَعَلْتَهُ سَيِّداً مِنَ السَّادَةِ وَ قَائِداً مِنَ الْقَادَةِ وَ أَكْرَمْتَهُ بِطِيبِ الْوِلَادَةِ وَ أَعْطَيْتَهُ مَوَارِيثَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَ جَعَلْتَهُ حُجَّةً عَلَى خَلْقِكَ مِنَ الْأَوْصِيَاءِ
O Allah-azwj! I testify he-asws is Your-azwj Guardian and son-asws of Your-azwj Guardian, and Your-azwj elite, the retaliator! You-azwj Honoured him-asws with Your-azwj Honours and Ended for him-asws with the martyrs, and Made him-asws a chief from the chiefs and a leader from the leaders, and Honoured with the good birth, and Granted him-asws inheritances of the Prophets-as, and Made him-asws a Divine Authority upon Your-azwj creatures, from the successors-asws!
فَأَعْذَرَ فِي الدُّعَاءِ وَ مَنَحَ النَّصِيحَةَ وَ بَذَلَ مُهْجَتَهُ فِيكَ حَتَّى اسْتَنْقَذَ عِبَادَكَ مِنَ الْجَهَالَةِ وَ حَيْرَةِ الضَّلَالَةِ وَ قَدْ تَوَازَرَ عَلَيْهِ مَنْ غَرَّتْهُ الدُّنْيَا وَ بَاعَ حَظَّهُ مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ بِالْأَدْنَى وَ تَرَدَّى فِي هَوَاهُ وَ أَسْخَطَكَ وَ أَسْخَطَ نَبِيَّكَ وَ أَطَاعَ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ أُولِي الشِّقَاقِ وَ النِّفَاقِ وَ حَمَلَةَ الْأَوْزَارِ الْمُسْتَوْجِبِينَ النَّارَ
So, he-asws fulfilled his-asws duty in calling others and offered sincere counsel, and he-asws gave his life for You-azwj until he-asws rescued Your-azwj servants from ignorance and the confusion of misguidance. Yet they were deceived by the world and who sold their share of the Hereafter for what is lowly, who were ruined by their desires, who angered You-azwj and Your-azwj Prophet-saww, and who obeyed among Your-azwj servants the people of division and hypocrisy, the bearers of burdens destined for the Fire, they all united against him.
فَجَاهَدَهُمْ فِيكَ صَابِراً مُحْتَسِباً مُقْبِلًا غَيْرَ مُدْبِرٍ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ فِي اللَّهِ لَوْمَةُ لَائِمٍ حَتَّى سُفِكَ فِي طَاعَتِكَ دَمُهُ وَ اسْتُبِيحَ حَرِيمُهُ اللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمْ لَعْناً وَبِيلًا وَ عَذِّبْهُمْ عَذَاباً أَلِيماً
Still, he strove against them for Your-azwj sake, patiently and seeking reward, advancing and never retreating, unaffected by the blame of any critic in Your-azwj Cause, until his-asws blood was shed in obedience to You-azwj and his-asws sanctity was violated! O Allah-azwj Curse them a flood of Curses and Punish them a painful Punishment!’
ثُمَّ اعْطِفْ عَلَى عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع وَ هُوَ عِنْدَ رِجْلِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع وَ قُلِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ خَاتِمِ النَّبِيِّينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الْمَظْلُومُ الشَّهِيدُ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَ أُمِّي عِشْتَ سَعِيداً وَ قُتِلْتَ مَظْلُوماً شَهِيداً
Then turn to Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws and he-asws is by the legs of Al-Husayn-asws, and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws, O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of last of the Prophets-as! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of (Syeda) Fatima-asws, chieftess of women of the worlds! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of Amir Al-Momineen-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O the oppressed, the martyr! May my father and my mother (be sacrificed for) you-asws! You-asws lived as fortunate, and were killed oppressed, a martyr!’
ثُمَّ انْحَرِفْ إِلَى قُبُورِ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَ قُلْ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَيُّهَا الذَّابُّونَ عَنْ تَوْحِيدِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِما صَبَرْتُمْ فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ بِأَبِي أَنْتُمْ وَ أُمِّي فُزْتُمْ فَوْزاً عَظِيماً
Then turn to graves of the martyrs and say, ‘The greeting be upon you all O defenders of Tawheed of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you due to your being patient, so best is the House of end-result! May my brother and my mother (be sacrificed for) you! You succeeded with a mighty success!’
ثُمَّ امْضِ إِلَى مَشْهَدِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ع وَ قِفْ عَلَى ضَرِيحِهِ الشَّرِيفِ وَ قُلْ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ وَ الصِّدِّيقُ الْمُوَاسِي أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ آمَنْتَ بِاللَّهِ وَ نَصَرْتَ ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَ دَعَوْتَ إِلَى سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَ وَاسَيْتَ بِنَفْسِكَ فَعَلَيْكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ أَفْضَلُ التَّحِيَّةِ وَ السَّلَامُ
Then continue to the Shrine of Al-Abbas-asws Bin Ali-asws and paused at his-asws noble Shrine and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O the righteous servant, and the comforting truthful! I testify you-asws had believed in Allah-azwj and helped a son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww, and called to the way of Allah-azwj, and comforted by yourself-asws! Upon you-asws from Allah-azwj be the best salutation and the greeting!’
ثُمَّ انْكَبَّ عَلَى الْقَبْرِ وَ قُلْ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَ أُمِّي يَا نَاصِرَ دِينِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَاصِرَ الْحُسَيْنِ الصِّدِّيقَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَاصِرَ الْحُسَيْنِ الشَّهِيدَ عَلَيْكَ مِنِّي السَّلَامُ مَا بَقِيتُ وَ بَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهَارُ
Then devote upon the grave and say, ‘May my father and my mother be (sacrificed for) you-asws, O helper of the religion of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O helper of Al-Husayn-asws the truthful! The greeting be upon you-asws O helper of Al-Husayn-asws the martyr! Upon you-asws from me be the greeting for as long as the night and the day remain!’
ثُمَّ صَلِّ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَ قُلْ مَا قُلْتَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع فَارْجِعْ إِلَى مَشْهَدِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع وَ أَقِمْ عِنْدَهُ مَا أَحْبَبْتَ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ يُسْتَحَبُّ أَنْ لَا تَجْعَلَهُ مَوْضِعَ مَبِيتِكَ فَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ وَدَاعَهُ فَقُمْ عِنْدَ الرَّأْسِ وَ أَنْتَ تَبْكِي وَ تَقُولُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ سَلَامَ مُوَدِّعٍ لَا قَالٍ وَ لَا سَئِمٍ فَإِنْ أَنْصَرِفْ فَلَا عَنْ مَلَالَةٍ وَ إِنْ أُقِمْ فَلَا عَنْ سُوءِ ظَنٍّ بِمَا وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الصَّابِرِينَ
Then pray two units Salat by his-asws head and say what you had said by the head of Al-Husayn-asws. Return to the Shrine of Al-Husayn-asws and stand in his-asws presence as long as you like, except it is recommended that you do not make it a place of spending your night. When you intend to bid him-asws farewell, stand by the head while you are crying, and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O my master, a greeting of farewell, neither out of discontentment nor weariness. If I leave, it is not out of boredom, and if I stay, it is not out of evil thoughts with what Allah-azwj has Promised the patient ones!
يَا مَوْلَايَ لَا جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنِّي لِزِيَارَتِكَ وَ رَزَقَنِي الْعَوْدَ إِلَيْكَ وَ الْمُقَامَ فِي حَرَمِكَ وَ الْكَوْنَ فِي مَشْهَدِكَ آمِينَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
O my master! May Allah-azwj not Make it last of the pacts from me of visiting you-asws, and Grace me the returning to you-asws, and the staying in your-asws Shrine, and being in your-asws Mausoleum! Ameen, Lord-azwj of the worlds!’
ثُمَّ قَبِّلْهُ وَ أَمِرَّ سَائِرَ بَدَنِكَ فَإِنَّهُ أَمَانٌ وَ حِرْزٌ وَ اخْرُجْ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ الْقَهْقَرَى لَا تُوَلِّهِ دُبُرَكَ وَ قُلِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَابَ الْمَقَامِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا شَرِيكَ الْقُرْآنِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ الْخِصَامِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَفِينَةَ النَّجَاةِ
Then kiss it and pass (your hand upon) rest of your body for it is a security and protection, and exit from his-asws presence backwards, not turning around, and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O the door of staying! The greeting be upon you-asws O associate of the Quran! The greeting be upon you-asws O argument of the opponent The greeting be upon you-asws O the ship of salvation!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا مَلَائِكَةَ رَبِّيَ الْمُقِيمِينَ فِي هَذَا الْحَرَمِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَبَداً مَا بَقِيتُ وَ بَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهَارُ
The greeting be upon you O Angels of my Lord-azwj, the ones resident in this sanctuary! The greeting be upon you-asws for ever, for as long as I remain, and the night and the day remain!’
وَ قُلْ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَ إِنَّا إِلَيْهِ راجِعُونَ وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ ثُمَّ انْصَرِفْ مَرْحُوماً مَغْبُوطاً إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى.
And say, ‘We are for Allah-azwj and are returning to Him-azwj, and there is neither might nor strength except with Allah-azwj the Exalted, the Magnificent!’ Then leave Mercied, envied, if Allah-azwj the Exalted Desires’’.[4]
قال السيد رحمه الله فإذا فعلت ذلك كنت كمن زار الله في عرشه.
The Seyyid, may Allah-azwj Mercy him, said, ‘When you have done that, you would be like the one who had visited Allah-azwj in His-azwj Throne’.
2- أَقُولُ قَالَ مُؤَلِّفُ الْمَزَارِ الْكَبِيرِ زِيَارَةٌ أُخْرَى لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحُسَيْنِ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ يُزَارُ بِهَا أَيْضاً فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ إِذَا أَرَدْتَ زِيَارَتَهُ ع فَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَ اغْتَسِلْ فِي الْيَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ وَ اجْمَعْ أَهْلَكَ إِلَيْكَ وَ وُلْدَكَ وَ قُلِ
I say, ‘The compiler of ‘Al-Mazaar Al-Kabeer’ said, ‘Another Ziyarat of Abu Abdullah Al-Husayn-asws, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon him-asws one can visit with it as well during the two Eids – When you intend to visit him-asws, fast three days, bathing during the third day, and gather your family members to you and your children, and say –
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَوْدِعُكَ الْيَوْمَ نَفْسِي وَ أَهْلِي وَ مَالِي وَ وُلْدِي وَ كُلَّ مَنْ كَانَ مِنِّي بِسَبِيلٍ الشَّاهِدَ مِنْهُمْ وَ الْغَائبَ اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنَا بِحِفْظِ الْإِيمَانِ وَ احْفَظْ عَلَيْنَا اللَّهُمَ اجْعَلْنَا فِي حِرْزِكَ وَ لَا تَسْلُبْنَا نِعْمَتَكَ وَ لَا تُغَيِّرْ مَا بِنَا مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ وَ عَافِيَةٍ وَ زِدْنَا مِنْ فَضْلِكَ إِنَّا إِلَيْكَ رَاغِبُونَ
‘O Allah-azwj! Today I entrust to You-azwj myself, and my family, and my wealth, and my children, and everyone who was with a means from me, the ones present from them and the absentees! O Allah-azwj! Protect us with protection of the Eman, and Protect upon us! O Allah-azwj! Make us to be in Your-azwj Protection and do not Strip us of Your-azwj bounties, nor Change what bounties there are with us, and Increase us from Your-azwj Grace, we are desirous to You-azwj!’
ثُمَّ اخْرُجْ مِنْ مَنْزِلَكِ خَاشِعاً وَ أَكْثِرْ مِنَ التَّهْلِيلِ وَ التَّكْبِيرِ وَ التَّحْمِيدِ وَ التَّمْجِيدِ وَ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ص- وَ امْضِ وَ عَلَيْكَ السَّكِينَةُ وَ الْوَقَارُ.
Then go out from your house fearfully, and frequent from extollations of the Oneness, and exclamations of the Greatness, and the praises, and the glorification, and the Salawaat upon the Prophet-saww, and continue, and upon you should be the calmness and the dignity’’.[5]
3- وَ رُوِيَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يَخْلُقُ مِنْ عَرَقِ زُوَّارِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ مِنْ كُلِّ عَرَقَةٍ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ يُسَبِّحُونَ اللَّهَ وَ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لَهُ وَ لِزُوَّارِ الْحُسَيْنِ إِلَى أَنْ تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ
And it is reported that Allah-azwj the Exalted Creates from the sweat of visitors of the grave of Al-Husayn-asws, from each (drop of) sweat, seventy thousand Angels glorifying Allah-azwj and seeking Forgiveness for him-asws and for visitor of Al-Husayn-asws up to establishment of the Hour!
فَإِذَا لَاحَتْ لَكَ الْقُبَّةُ السَّامِيَةُ فَقُلْ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَ سَلامٌ عَلى عِبادِهِ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفى آللَّهُ خَيْرٌ أَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ وَ سَلامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعالَمِينَ وَ سَلَامٌ عَلَى آلِ يس إِنَّا كَذلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
When the sublime dome appears to you, say, ‘The Praise is for Allah and greetings be upon His servants, those He Chose. Is Allah better or what they are associating? [27:59] And greetings be upon the Rasools [37:181] And the Praise is for Allah, Lord of the Worlds [37:182], and greeting be upon the progeny-asws of Yaseen, Surely, like that do We Recompense the good doers [37:80]!
وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَى الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ الْأَوْصِيَاءِ الصَّادِقِينَ الْقَائِمِينَ بِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ وَ حُجَجِهِ السَّاعِينَ إِلَى سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ النَّاصِحِينَ لِجَمِيعِ عِبَادِهِ الْمُسْتَخْلَفِينَ فِي بِلَادِهِ الْمُرْشِدِينَ إِلَى هِدَايَتِهِ وَ إِرْشَادِهِ
The greeting be upon the goodly, the pure, the successors, the truthful, the ones standing with the Command of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Divine Authorities, the ones striving to the way of Allah-azwj, the fighters for the Sake of Allah-azwj and is the right of fighting, the advisers to entirety of His-azwj servants, the caliphs in His-azwj lands, the directors to His-azwj Guidance and His-azwj Direction!’
فَإِذَا أَشْرَفْتَ عَلَى قَنْطَرَةِ الْعَلْقَمِيِّ فَقُلْ اللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ قَصَدَ الْقَاصِدُونَ وَ فِي فَضْلِكَ طَمِعَ الرَّاغِبُونَ وَ بِكَ اعْتَصَمَ الْمُعْتَصِمُونَ وَ عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلَ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ وَ قَدْ قَصَدْتُكَ وَافِداً وَ فِي رَحْمَتِكَ طَامِعاً وَ لِعِزَّتِكَ خَاضِعاً وَ لِوُلَاةِ أَمْرِكَ طَائِعاً وَ لِأَمْرِهِمْ مُتَابِعاً
When you overlook upon the bridge of (river) Alqama, say, ‘O Allah-azwj! To You-azwj aim the aiming ones, and regarding Your-azwj Grace the desiring ones are eager for, and with You-azwj the adhering ones adhere with, and upon You-azwj the relying ones rely, and I have aimed to You-azwj as a delegate, and eager regarding Your-azwj Mercy, and humble to Your-azwj Mighty, and obedient to masters of Your-azwj Command and a follower to their-asws orders!
اللَّهُمَّ ثَبِّتْنِي عَلَى مَحَبَّةِ أَوْلِيَائِكَ وَ لَا تَقْطَعْ أَثَرِي عَنْ زِيَارَتِهِمْ وَ احْشُرْنِي فِي زُمْرَتِهِمْ وَ أَدْخِلْنِي الْجَنَّةَ بِشَفَاعَتِهِمْ
O Allah-azwj! Affirm me upon the love of Your-azwj Guardians, and do not Cut off my impacts from visiting them-asws, and Gather me in their-asws group, and Admit me into the Paradise through their-asws intercession!’
فَإِذَا أَتَيْتَ الْفُرَاتَ فَكَبِّرِ اللَّهَ مِائَةَ تَكْبِيرَةٍ وَ هَلِّلْهُ مِائَةَ تَهْلِيلَةٍ وَ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ ص مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ ثُمَّ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ خَيْرُ مَنْ وَفَدَ إِلَيْهِ الرِّجَالُ وَ شُدَّتْ إِلَيْهِ الرِّحَالُ وَ أَنْتَ سَيِّدِي أَكْرَمُ مَزُورٍ وَ أَكْرَمُ مَقْصُودٍ وَ قَدْ جَعَلْتَ لِكُلِّ زَائِرٍ كَرَامَةً وَ لِكُلِّ وَافِدٍ تُحْفَةً
When you come to the Euphrates, exclaim the Greatness of Allah-azwj one hundred Takbeer, and extol His-azwj Oneness one hundred times, and send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww the Prophet-saww one hundred times, then say, ‘O Allah-azwj! You-azwj are Best of the ones the men delegate to, and the mounts are tied to, and You-azwj are my Master, the most Honourable of the ones visited, and the most Honourable of the ones aimed to, and You-azwj have Made honour to be for every visitor, and a gift for every delegate!
فَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ تُحْفَتَكَ إِيَّايَ فَكَاكَ رَقَبَتِي مِنَ النَّارِ وَ اشْكُرْ سَعْيِي وَ ارْحَمْ مَسِيرِي إِلَيْكَ مِنْ أَهْلِي بِغَيْرِ مَنٍّ مِنِّي عَلَيْكَ بَلْ لَكَ الْمَنُّ عَلَيَّ إِذْ جَعَلْتَ لِيَ السَّبِيلَ إِلَى زِيَارَةِ ابْنِ نَبِيِّكَ وَ عَرَّفْتَنِي فَضْلَهُ وَ حَفِظْتَنِي بِاللَّيْلِ وَ النَّهَارِ حَتَّى بَلَّغْتَنِي هَذَا الْمَكَانَ
I ask You-azwj to Make Your-azwj Gift to me, liberation of my neck from the Hellfire, and Appreciate my striving, and Mercy my travelling to You-azwj from my family without a conferment from me to You-azwj, but for You-azwj is the Conferment upon me, when You-azwj Made the way for me to visit a son-asws of Your-azwj Prophet-saww, and Introduced me to his-asws merits, and protected me by the night and day until You-azwj Made me reach this place!
وَ قَدْ رَجَوْتُكَ فَلَا تَقْطَعْ رَجَائِي وَ قَدْ أَمَّلْتُكَ فَلَا تُخَيِّبْ أَمَلِي وَ اجْعَلْ مَسِيرِي هَذَا كَفَّارَةً لِذُنُوبِي يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
I and I have hoped, so do not Cut off my hopes, and I have wished, so do not Disappoint my wishes, and Make this journey of mine an atonement for my sins, O Lord-azwj of the worlds!’
وَ انْزِلْ وَ اغْتَسِلْ وَ قُلْ فِي غُسْلِكَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَ بِاللَّهِ وَ عَلَى مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَ الصَّادِقِينَ عَنِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ اللَّهُمَّ طَهِّرْ بِهِ قَلْبِي وَ اشْرَحْ بِهِ صَدْرِي وَ نَوِّرْ بِهِ قَلْبِي وَ يَسِّرْ بِهِ أَمْرِي
And descend and bathe, and say during your bathing, ‘In the Name of Allah-azwj, and by Allah-azwj, and upon the religion of Rasool-Allah-saww, and the truthful about Allah-azwj Majestic and Mighty! O Allah-azwj! Purify my heart with it, and Expand my chest with it, and Radiate my heart with it, and Ease my matters with it!
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ لِي نُوراً وَ طَهُوراً وَ شِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ وَ آفَةٍ وَ عَاهَةٍ وَ سُوءِ مَا أَخَافُ وَ أَحْذَرُ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لِي شَاهِداً يَوْمَ حَاجَتِي وَ فَقْرِي وَ فَاقَتِي إِلَيْكَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ إِنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
O Allah-azwj! Make it a Noor for me, and a cleansing, and hearing from every illness and affliction and defect, and evil of what I fear and am cautious of! O Allah-azwj! Make a witness for me on the Day of my need and my poverty and my destitution, O Lord-azwj of the worlds, You-azwj are Able upon all things!’
فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ مِنْ غُسْلِكَ فَالْبَسْ ثَوْبَيْنِ طَاهِرَيْنِ وَ صَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَارِجَ الْمَشْرَعَةِ وَ هُوَ الْمَكَانُ الَّذِي قَالَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ فِي الْأَرْضِ قِطَعٌ مُتَجاوِراتٌ وَ جَنَّاتٌ مِنْ أَعْنابٍ وَ زَرْعٌ وَ نَخِيلٌ صِنْوانٌ وَ غَيْرُ صِنْوانٍ يُسْقى بِماءٍ واحِدٍ وَ نُفَضِّلُ بَعْضَها عَلى بَعْضٍ فِي الْأُكُلِ
When you are free from your bathing, wear two clean clothes and pray two units Salat outside the ‘Mashra’a’, and it is the place which Allah-azwj Majestic and Mighty Said: And in the earth there are neighbouring tracts and gardens of grapes cultivated, and single-rooted palm trees other than single-rooted, being irrigated by one water source, and We Prefer some of it upon the others regarding the eating [13:4]!
تَقْرَأُ فِي الْأُولَى فَاتِحَةَ الْكِتَابِ وَ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ فَاتِحَةَ الْكِتَابِ وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا سَلَّمْتَ فَسَبِّحْ ثُمَّ قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْمُتَوَحِّدِ فِي الْأُمُورِ كُلِّهَا الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ الَّذِي هَدانا لِهذا وَ ما كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْ لا أَنْ هَدانَا اللَّهُ لَقَدْ جاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنا بِالْحَقِ
Read in the first (unit) Surah Al Fatiha and Al Kafiroun, and in the second Surah Al Fatiha and Al Tawheed. When you have performed Salaam, glorify, then say, ‘The Praise is for Allah-azwj the One, the Unique in the matters, all of them, the Beneficent, the Merciful, ‘The Praise is for Allah Who Guided us to this, and we would not have been rightly Guided if Allah had not Guided us. Rasools of our Lord had come with the Truth’ [7:43]!
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْداً كَثِيراً أَبَداً لَا يَنْقَطِعُ وَ لَا يَفْنَى حَمْداً يَصْعَدُ أَوَّلُهُ وَ لَا يَنْفَدُ آخِرُهُ حَمْداً يَزِيدُ وَ لَا يَبِيدُ وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَشِيرِ النَّذِيرِ وَ عَلَى آلِهِ الْأَخْيَارِ الْأَبْرَارِ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً
O Allah-azwj! For You-azwj is the Praise, abundant Praise, for ever, neither cut off nor depleting! Praise, its beginning ascends and its end does not deplete, a Praise increasing and not perishing, and may Allah-azwj Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww the giver of glad tidings, the warner, and upon his-saww Progeny-asws, the goodly, the righteous, and abundant Greetings!’
فَإِذَا تَوَجَّهْتَ إِلَى الْحَائِرِ عَلَى سَاكِنِهِ السَّلَامُ فَقُلْ اللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ تَوَجَّهْتُ وَ لِبَابِكَ قَرَعْتُ وَ بِفِنَائِكَ نَزَلْتُ وَ بِحَبْلِكَ اعْتَصَمْتُ وَ لِرَحْمَتِكَ تَعَرَّضْتُ وَ بِوَلِيِّكَ تَوَسَّلْتُ فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ اجْعَلْ زِيَارَتِي مَبْرُورَةً وَ دُعَائِي مَقْبُولًا
When you divert to the (Holy) enclosure, may the greeting be upon its dweller, say, ‘O Allah-azwj! I have diverted to You-azwj and have knocked at Your-azwj door, and have descended at Your-azwj courtyard, and have held on to Your-azwj rope, and have exposed myself to Your-azwj Mercy, and have sought means through Your-azwj Guardian! Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and his-saww Progeny-asws, and Make my Ziyarat accomplished, and my supplication Answered!’
ثُمَّ امْشِ وَ قَصِّرْ خُطَاكَ وَ عَلَيْكَ السَّكِينَةُ وَ الْوَقَارُ وَ الْخُشُوعُ وَ التَّكْبِيرُ وَ التَّهْلِيلُ وَ التَّحْمِيدُ وَ التَّمْجِيدُ وَ الثَّنَاءُ عَلَى اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ وَ الصَّلَاةُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ص وَ الْبَرَاءَةُ مِمَّنْ أَسَّسَ الْجَوْرَ وَ الظُّلْمَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ دَفَعَهُمْ عَنْ مَقَامَاتِهِمْ وَ أَزَالَهُمْ عَنْ مَرَاتِبِهِمْ وَ مَنْ نَصَبَ لَهُمْ حَرْباً أَوْ جَحَدَهُمْ حَقّاً
Then walk and shorten your steps, and upon you should be the calmness and the dignity, and the fearfulness and the exclamations of Takbeer, and the extollations of Oneness, and the praises, and the glorifications, and the laudation upon Allah-azwj Majestic and Mighty, and the Salawaat upon the Prophet-saww, and the disavowing from the ones who laid the foundation of tyranny and oppressed upon them-asws, and repelled them-asws from their-asws position, and moved them-asws away from their-asws ranks, and the ones who installed war to them-asws, or rejected their-asws rights.
وَ إِذَا أَرَدْتَ الِاسْتِئْذَانَ فَقُمْ عِنْدَ بَابِ الْقُبَّةِ وَ ارْمِ بِطَرْفِكَ نَحْوَ الْقَبْرِ وَ قُلْ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ عَبْدُكَ وَ ابْنُ أَمَتِكَ الذَّلِيلُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ وَ الْمُصَغَّرُ فِي عُلُوِّ قَدْرِكَ وَ الْمُعْتَرِفُ بِحَقِّكَ جَاءَكَ مُسْتَجِيراً بِكَ قَاصِداً إِلَى حَرَمِكَ مُتَوَجِّهاً إِلَى مَقَامِكَ مُتَوَسِّلًا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى بِكَ
And when you want to seek the permission, stand by a door of the dome and shoot your glance toward the grave and say, ‘O my master! O Abu Abdullah-asws! O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww! Your-asws servant and son of your-asws maid, the humble, is in front of you-asws, and the small in the exaltedness of your-asws worth, and the acknowledger of your-asws rights has come to you-asws seeking shelter with you-asws, aiming to your-asws sanctuary, heading to your-asws place seeking means to Allah-azwj the Exalted through you-asws!
أَ أَدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلَايَ أَ أَدْخُلُ يَا مَلَائِكَةَ اللَّهِ الْمُحْدِقِينَ بِهَذَا الْحَرَمِ الْمُقِيمِينَ فِي هَذَا الْمَشْهَدِ.
Can I enter O my master! Can I enter O Angels of Allah-azwj gazing at this sanctuary, resident in this Mausoleum!’’[6]
أقول: و ساق الزيارات نحوا مما مر برواية المفيد.
I say, ‘And he continued the Ziyarat approximate to what has passed by a report of Al-Mufeed’.
باب 48 زيارة ليلة عرفة و يومها
CHAPTER 48 – ZIYARAT ON THE NIGHT OF ARAFAAT AND ITS DAY
1- قَالَ الشَّيْخُ الْمُفِيدُ وَ السَّيِّدُ وَ الشَّهِيدُ قَدَّسَ اللَّهُ أَرْوَاحَهُمْ إِذَا أَرَدْتَ زِيَارَتَهُ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ فَاغْتَسِلْ مِنَ الْفُرَاتِ إِنْ أَمْكَنَكَ وَ إِلَّا فَمِنْ حَيْثُ أَمْكَنَكَ وَ الْبَسْ أَطْهَرَ ثِيَابِكَ وَ اقْصِدْ حَضْرَتَهُ الشَّرِيفَةَ وَ أَنْتَ عَلَى سَكِينَةٍ وَ وَقَارٍ فَإِذَا بَلَغْتَ بَابَ الْحَائِرِ فَكَبِّرِ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى وَ قُلِ
The Sheykh Al Mufeed, and the Seyyid, and Al-Shaheed, may Allah-azwj Sanctify their souls, said, ‘When you intend to visit him-asws during this day, then bathe from the Euphrates if it is possible for you, or else from wherever it is possible for you, and wear your clean clothes, and aim to his-asws noble presence while you are upon calmness and dignity. When you reach a door of the (Holy) enclosure, exclaim Takbeer of Allah-azwj the Exalted and say,
اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيراً وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيراً وَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَ أَصِيلًا وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدانا لِهذا وَ ما كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْ لا أَنْ هَدانَا اللَّهُ لَقَدْ جاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنا بِالْحَقِ
‘Allah-azwj is Greatest of greats, and the Praise is for Allah-azwj, a lot, and Glory be to Allah-azwj morning and evening! ‘The Praise is for Allah Who Guided us to this, and we would not have been rightly Guided if Allah had not Guided us. Rasools of our Lord had come with the Truth’ [7:43]!
السَّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ السَّلَامُ عَلَى جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ السَّلَامُ عَلَى مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ
The greeting be upon Rasool-Allah-saww! The greeting be upon Amir Al-Momineen-asws! The greeting be upon (Syeda) Fatima Al-Zahra-asws chieftess of women of the worlds! The greeting be upon Al-Hassan-asws and Al-Husayn-asws! The greeting be upon Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws! The greeting be upon Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-asws! The greeting be upon Ja’far-asws Bin Muhammad-asws! The greeting be upon Musa-asws Bin Ja’far-asws!
السَّلَامُ عَلَى عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوسَى السَّلَامُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ السَّلَامُ عَلَى عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ السَّلَامُ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ السَّلَامُ عَلَى الْخَلَفِ الصَّالِحِ الْمُنْتَظَرِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
The greeting be upon Ali-asws Bin Musa-asws! The greeting be upon Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-asws! The greeting be upon Ali-asws Bin Muhammad-asws! The greeting be upon Al-Hassan-asws Bin Ali-asws! The greeting be upon the replacement, the righteous, the awaited! The greeting be upon you-asws O Abu Abdullah-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww!
عَبْدُكَ وَ ابْنُ عَبْدِكَ وَ ابْنُ أَمَتِكَ الْمُوَالِي لِوَلِيِّكَ الْمُعَادِي لِعَدُوِّكَ اسْتَجَارَ بِمَشْهَدِكَ وَ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَى اللَّهِ بِقَصْدِكَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِوَلَايَتِكَ وَ خَصَّنِي بِزِيَارَتِكَ وَ سَهَّلَ لِي قَصْدَكَ
Your-asws servant and son of your-asws maid, the friend to your-asws friend and the enemy to your-asws enemy is seeking shelter at your-asws Shrine and is drawing closer to Allah-azwj by aiming to you-asws! The Praise is for Allah-azwj Who Guided us to your-asws Wilayah, and Particularised me to visit you-asws and Facilitated for me aiming to you-asws!’
ثُمَّ ادْخُلْ فَقِفْ مِمَّا يَلِي الرَّأْسَ وَ قُلِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ آدَمَ صَفْوَةِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ نُوحٍ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُوسَى كَلِيمِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِيسَى رُوحِ اللَّهِ
Then enter and pause from what follows the head, and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Adam-as elite of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Noah-as Prophet-as of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Ibrahim-as friend of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Musa-as converser with Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Isa-as Spirit of Allah-azwj!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدٍ حَبِيبِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُصْطَفَى السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ عَلِيٍّ الْمُرْتَضَى السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ خَدِيجَةَ الْكُبْرَى السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ اللَّهِ وَ ابْنَ ثَارِهِ وَ الْوِتْرَ الْمَوْتُورَ
The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Muhammad-saww Beloved of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of Amir Al-Momineen-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O inheritor of (Syeda) Fatima Al-Zahra-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws Muhammad-saww Al-Mustafa-saww! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of Ali Al-Murtaza-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of (Syeda) Fatima Al-Zahra-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of (Syeda) Khadeeja Al-Kubra-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O retaliator of Allah-azwj and son-asws of His-azwj retaliator and the single one Singled out!
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ أَقَمْتَ الصَّلَاةَ وَ آتَيْتَ الزَّكَاةَ وَ أَمَرْتَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَ نَهَيْتَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَ أَطَعْتَ اللَّهَ حَتَّى أَتَاكَ الْيَقِينُ فَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً سَمِعَتْ بِذَلِكَ فَرَضِيَتْ بِهِ
I testify you-asws had established the Salat, and gave the Zakat, and instructed with the good and forbade from the evil, and obeyed Allah-azwj until the certainty (death) came to you-asws! May Allah-azwj Kill the community which killed you-asws, and may Allah-azwj Curse the community which oppressed you-asws, and may Allah-azwj Curse the community which heard of that and was pleased with it!
يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ وَ مَلَائِكَتَهُ وَ أَنْبِيَاءَهُ وَ رُسُلَهُ أَنِّي بِكُمْ مُؤْمِنٌ وَ بِإِيَابِكُمْ مُوقِنٌ بِشَرَائِعِ دِينِي وَ خَوَاتِيمِ عَمَلِي وَ مُنْقَلَبِي إِلَى رَبِّي فَصَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ عَلَى أَرْوَاحِكُمْ وَ عَلَى أَجْسَادِكُمْ وَ عَلَى شَاهِدِكُمْ وَ غَائِبِكُمْ وَ ظَاهِرِكُمْ وَ بَاطِنِكُمْ
O my master, O Abu Abdullah-asws! I keep as witnesses, Allah-azwj, and His-azwj Angels, and His-azwj Messengers-as, I am a believer in you-asws and in your-asws return, convinced with laws of my religion, and outcome of my deeds, and my transfer to my Lord-azwj! May the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon you-asws all, and upon your-asws souls and upon your-asws bodies, and upon your present one and your-asws absent one, and your-asws apparent and your-asws hidden!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ خَاتِمِ النَّبِيِّينَ وَ ابْنَ سَيِّدِ الْوَصِيِّينَ وَ ابْنَ إِمَامِ الْمُتَّقِينَ وَ ابْنَ قَائِدِ الْغُرِّ الْمُحَجَّلِينَ إِلَى جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ وَ كَيْفَ لَا تَكُونُ كَذَلِكَ وَ أَنْتَ بَابُ الْهُدَى وَ إِمَامُ الْتُّقَى وَ الْعُرْوَةُ الْوُثْقَى وَ الْحُجَّةُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا وَ خَامِسُ أَهْلِ الْكِسَاءِ
The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of last of the Prophets-as, and son-asws of chief of the successors-asws, and son-asws of Imam-asws of the pious, and son-asws of leader of the resplendent to the Gardens of bliss, and how can you-asws not be like that and you-asws are the door of guidance, and the pious Imam-asws, and the firmest handhold, and the Divine Authority upon people of the world, and fifth of the people of the cloak!
غَذَّتْكَ يَدُ الرَّحْمَةِ وَ رَضَعْتَ مِنْ ثَدْيِ الْإِيمَانِ وَ رُبِّيتَ فِي حَجْرِ الْإِسْلَامِ فَالنَّفْسُ غَيْرُ رَاضِيَةٍ بِفِرَاقِكَ وَ لَا شَاكَّةٍ فِي حَيَاتِكَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى آبَائِكَ وَ أَبْنَائِكَ
You-asws were fed by the Hand of Mercy, and you-asws were fed from the chest of Eman, and were nourished in the lap of Islam, so the soul is not content with separation from you-asws nor doubtful regarding your-asws life! May the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon you-asws and upon your-asws forefathers-asws and your-asws sons-asws!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَرِيعَ الْعَبْرَةِ السَّاكِبَةِ وَ قَرِينَ الْمُصِيبَةِ الرَّاتِبَةِ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً اسْتَحَلَّتْ مِنْكَ الْمَحَارِمَ فَقُتِلْتَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ مَقْهُوراً وَ أَصْبَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص بِكَ مَوْتُوراً وَ أَصْبَحَ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ بِفَقْدِكَ مَهْجُوراً
The greeting be upon you-asws O one struck down, over whom tears continually flow, and companion of an ever-present tragedy. May Allah-azwj curse the community which violated your-asws sanctity, and so you were killed! May Allah-azwj Send Salawaat upon you-asws, O coerced, and Rasool-Allah-saww became bereaved of you-asws and the Book of Allah-azwj was forsaken at your-asws loss!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى جَدِّكَ وَ أَبِيكَ وَ أُمِّكَ وَ أَخِيكَ وَ عَلَى الْأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ بَنِيكَ وَ عَلَى الْمُسْتَشْهَدِينَ مَعَكَ وَ عَلَى الْمَلَائِكَةِ الْحَافِّينَ بِقَبْرِكَ وَ الشَّاهِدِينَ لِزُوَّارِكَ الْمُؤَمِّنِينَ بِالْقَبُولِ عَلَى دُعَاءِ شِيعَتِكَ وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
The greeting be upon you-asws and upon your-asws grandfather-saww, and your-asws father-asws, and your-asws mother-asws, and your-asws brother-asws, and upon the Imams-asws from your-asws sons-asws, and upon the ones martyred with you-asws, and upon the Angels surrounding your-asws grave, and the witnesses of your-asws for your-asws visitors, the Momineen, with the acceptance upon supplications of your-asws Shias, and the greeting be upon you-asws and Mercy of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Blessings!
بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَ أُمِّي يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَ أُمِّي يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ الرَّزِيَّةُ وَ جَلَّتِ الْمُصِيبَةُ بِكَ عَلَيْنَا وَ عَلَى جَمِيعِ أَهْلِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ فَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً أَسْرَجَتْ وَ أَلْجَمَتْ وَ تَهَيَّأَتْ لِقِتَالِكَ
May my father and my mother (be sacrificed for) you-asws, O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww! May my father and my mother (be sacrificed for) you-asws O Abu Abdullah-asws! The tragedy and the calamity with you-asws is mighty upon us and upon the entirety of inhabitants of the skies and the earth, so may Allah-azwj Curse the community which saddled and bridled (war horses), and prepared to battle you-asws!
يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَصَدْتُ حَرَمَكَ وَ أَتَيْتُ مَشْهَدَكَ أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ بِالشَّأْنِ الَّذِي لَكَ عِنْدَهُ وَ بِالْمَحَلِّ الَّذِي لَكَ لَدَيْهِ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مَعَكُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ بِمَنِّهِ وَ جُودِهِ وَ كَرَمِهِ
O my master, O Abu Abdullah-asws! I have aimed to your-asws sanctuary and have come to your-asws Shrine. I ask Allah-azwj by the glory which is for you-asws in His-azwj Presence, and by the position which is for you-asws before Him-azwj, to Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww, and to Make me with you-asws all in the world and the Hereafter, by His-azwj Conferment and His-azwj Generosity, and His-azwj Benevolence!’
ثُمَّ قَبِّلِ الضَّرِيحَ وَ صَلِّ عِنْدَ الرَّأْسِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ تَقْرَأُ فِيهِمَا مَا أَحْبَبْتَ فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَقُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي صَلَّيْتُ وَ رَكَعْتُ وَ سَجَدْتُ لَكَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لِأَنَّ الصَّلَاةَ وَ الرُّكُوعَ وَ السُّجُودَ لَا تَكُونُ إِلَّا لَكَ لِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Then kiss the Shrine and pray two units Salat by the head, reading in these whatever you like. When you are free, say, ‘O Allah-azwj! I have prayed Salat, and performed Ruk’u and Sajdah to You-azwj Alone, there is no associate for You-azwj, because the Salat and the Ruk’u and the Sajdah cannot be except to You-azwj, because You-azwj are Allah-azwj, there is no god except You-azwj!
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَبْلِغْهُمْ عَنِّي أَفْضَلَ التَّحِيَّةِ وَ السَّلَامِ وَ ارْدُدْ عَلَيَّ مِنْهُمُ التَّحِيَّةَ وَ السَّلَامَ
O Allah-azwj! Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww, and Deliver to them-asws from me the best salutation and the greeting, and Respond to me from them-asws the salutation and the greeting!
اللَّهُمَّ وَ هَاتَانِ الرَّكْعَتَانِ هَدِيَّةٌ مِنِّي إِلَى مَوْلَايَ وَ سَيِّدِي وَ إِمَامِيَ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ع
O Allah-azwj, and these two units of Salat are a gift from me to my master and my chief, and my Imam Al-Husayn-asws Bin Ali-asws!
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ تَقَبَّلْ ذَلِكَ مِنِّي وَ أْجُرْنِي عَلَى ذَلِكَ أَفْضَلَ أَمَلِي وَ رَجَائِي فِيكَ وَ فِي وَلِيِّكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
O Allah-azwj! Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww, and Accept that from me and Reward me upon that to the best of my wishes and my hopes in You-azwj and in Your-azwj Guardian, O most Merciful of the merciful ones!’
ثُمَّ صِرْ إِلَى عِنْدِ رِجْلَيِ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ زُرْ عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ ع وَ قُلِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ الشَّهِيدَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الشَّهِيدُ بْنَ الشَّهِيدِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الْمَظْلُومُ
Then come to be by the legs of Al-Husayn-asws and visit Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws (Ali Al-Akbar-asws), and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of Prophet-saww of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of Amir Al-Momineen-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of Al-Husayn-asws the martyr! The greeting upon you-asws O the martyr son-asws of the martyr! The greeting be upon you-asws O the oppressed!
لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً سَمِعَتْ بِذَلِكَ فَرَضِيَتْ بِهِ
May Allah-azwj Curse the community which killed you-asws, and may Allah-azwj Curse the community which oppressed you-asws, and may Allah-azwj Curse the community which heard of that and was pleased with it!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللَّهِ وَ ابْنَ وَلِيِّهِ لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ الْمُصِيبَةُ وَ جَلَّتِ الرَّزِيَّةُ بِكَ عَلَيْنَا وَ عَلَى جَمِيعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ وَ أَبْرَأُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ
The greeting be upon you-asws O Guardian of Allah-azwj and son-asws of His-azwj Guardian! The calamity with you-asws is mighty, and the tragedy is immense upon us and upon entirety of the Momineen, so may Allah-azwj Curse the community which killed you-asws, and I disavow to Allah-azwj and to you-asws from them, in the world and the Hereafter!’
ثُمَّ اخْرُجْ مِنَ الْبَابِ الَّذِي عِنْدَ رِجْلِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع فَتَوَجَّهْ هُنَاكَ إِلَى الشُّهَدَاءِ وَ زُرْهُمْ فَقُلْ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَوْلِيَاءَ اللَّهِ وَ أَحِبَّاءَهُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَصْفِيَاءَ اللَّهِ وَ أَوِدَّاءَهُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ دِينِ اللَّهِ وَ أَنْصَارَ نَبِيِّهِ وَ أَنْصَارَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ أَنْصَارَ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ
Then exit from the door which is by the legs of Al-Husayn-asws and head over there towards the martyrs and visit them saying, ‘The greeting be upon you all O friends of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Loved ones! The greeting be upon you O elites of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Cordial ones! The greeting be upon you O helpers of the religion of Allah-azwj, and helpers of His-azwj Prophet-saww, and helpers of Amir Al-Momineen-asws, and helpers of (Syeda) Fatima-asws chieftess of women of the worlds!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنِ الْوَلِيِّ النَّاصِحِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحُسَيْنِ الشَّهِيدِ الْمَظْلُومِ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
The greeting be upon you O helpers of Abu Muhammad Al-Hassan-asws, the Guardian, the adviser! The greeting be upon you O helpers of Abu Abdullah Al-Husayn-asws, the martyr, the oppressed! May the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon them-asws all!
بِأَبِي أَنْتُمْ وَ أُمِّي طِبْتُمْ وَ طَابَتِ الْأَرْضُ الَّتِي فِيهَا دُفِنْتُمْ وَ فُزْتُمْ وَ اللَّهِ فَوْزاً عَظِيماً فَيَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ مَعَكُمْ فَأَفُوزَ مَعَكُمْ فِي الْجِنَانِ مَعَ الشُّهَداءِ وَ الصَّالِحِينَ وَ حَسُنَ أُولئِكَ رَفِيقاً وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
By my father and my mother! You were good and the ground which you are buried in became good, and by Allah-azwj you succeeded with a mighty success! Alas, if only I had been with you all I would have succeeded with you in the Gardens, along with the martyrs, and the righteous, and they are a goodly company, and the greeting be upon you and Mercy of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Blessings!’
ثُمَّ عُدْ إِلَى عِنْدِ رَأْسِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع وَ أَكْثِرْ مِنَ الدُّعَاءِ لِنَفْسِكَ وَ لِأَهْلِكَ وَ لِإِخْوَانِكَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ.
Then return to be by the head of Al-Husayn-asws and frequent from the supplication for yourself and your family, and your Momineen brothers!’’[7]
وَ قَالَ الْمُفِيدُ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ فَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ الْخُرُوجَ فَانْكَبَّ عَلَى الْقَبْرِ وَ قَبِّلْهُ وَ قُلِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَفْوَةَ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَالِصَةَ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَمِينَ اللَّهِ سَلَامَ مُوَدِّعٍ لَا قَالٍ وَ لَا سَئِمٍ فَإِنْ أَمْضِ فَلَا عَنْ مَلَالَةٍ وَ إِنْ أُقِمْ فَلَا عَنْ سُوءِ ظَنٍّ بِمَا وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الصَّابِرِينَ
And Al-Mufeed, may Allah-azwj Mercy him, said, ‘When you intend to exit, devote upon the grave and kiss it and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O Divine Authority of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O elite of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O sincere one of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O trustee of Allah-azwj, a farewell greeting, neither out of discontent nor weariness! If I go, it is not out of boredom, and if I stay it is not out of evil thoughts with what Allah-azwj has Promised the patient ones!
لَا جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ يَا مَوْلَايَ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ لِزِيَارَتِكَ وَ رَزَقَنِي الْعَوْدَ إِلَى مَشْهَدِكَ وَ الْمُقَامَ فِي حَرَمِكَ وَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مَعَكُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ
O my master! May Allah-azwj not Make is last of the pacts of visiting you-asws, and Grace me the return to your-asws Mausoleum and the staying in your-asws sanctuary, and to Make me to be with you all in the world and the Hereafter!’
ثُمَّ اخْرُجْ وَ لَا تُوَلِّ ظَهْرَكَ وَ أَكْثِرْ مِنْ قَوْلِ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَ إِنَّا إِلَيْهِ راجِعُونَ ثُمَّ امْضِ إِلَى مَشْهَدِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ع فَإِذَا أَتَيْتَ فَقِفْ عَلَيْهِ وَ قُلِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ الْمُطِيعُ لِلَّهِ وَ لِرَسُولِهِ وَ لِأَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ ع وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ وَ مَغْفِرَتُهُ عَلَى رُوحِكَ وَ بَدَنِكَ
Then exit and do not turn around your back, and frequent from the word, ‘We are for Allah-azwj and are returning to Him-azwj!’ Then continue to the Shrine of Al-Abbas-asws Bin Ali-asws. When you come, pause at it and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O the righteous servant, the obedient to Allah-azwj, and to His-azwj Rasool-saww, and to Amir Al-Momineen-asws, and Al-Hassan-asws and Al-Husayn-asws, and Mercy of Allah-azwj, and His-azwj Blessings, and His-azwj Forgiveness upon your-asws soul and your-asws body!
أُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ أَنَّكَ مَضَيْتَ عَلَى مَا مَضَى الْبَدْرِيُّونَ الْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ الْمُنَاصِحُونَ فِي جِهَادِ أَعْدَائِهِ الْمُبَالِغُونَ فِي نُصْرَةِ أَوْلِيَائِهِ فَجَزَاكَ اللَّهُ أَفْضَلَ الْجَزَاءِ وَ أَوْفَرَ جَزَاءِ أَحَدٍ وَفَى بِبَيْعَتِهِ وَ اسْتَجَابَ لَهُ دَعْوَتَهُ وَ حَشَرَكَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَ الصِّدِّيقِينَ وَ حَسُنَ أُولئِكَ رَفِيقاً
I testify to Allah-azwj you-asws had passed upon what the participants in the battle of Badr had passed upon, the fighters in the way of Allah-azwj, the advisers in fighting His-azwj enemies, the extensive in helping His-azwj friends! May Allah-azwj Recompense you-asws the best Recompense, and most plentiful Recompense of anyone who had been loyal with his-asws allegiance, and answered to him-asws of his-saww call, and Gather you-asws with the Prophets-as, and the martyrs, and the truthful, and a goodly company they are!’
ثُمَّ صَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ عِنْدَ الرَّأْسِ وَ ادْعُ اللَّهَ بَعْدَهُمَا بِمَا أَحْبَبْتَ فَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ الْخُرُوجَ فَوَدِّعْهُ وَ قُلْ أَسْتَوْدِعُكَ اللَّهَ وَ أَسْتَرْعِيكَ وَ أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامَ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَ رَسُولِهِ وَ بِمَا جَاءَ بِهِ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ
Then pray two units Salat by the head and supplicate to Allah-azwj after these with whatever you like. When you intend to exit, bid him-asws farewell and say, ‘I entrust you-asws to Allah-azwj and His-azwj Care, and convey the greeting upon you-asws believing in Allah-azwj and His-azwj Rasool-saww, and with whatever he-saww had come with from the Presence of Allah-azwj!
اللَّهُمَّ اكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَجْعَلْهُ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنْ زِيَارَتِي قَبْرَ وَلِيِّكَ وَ ابْنِ أَخِي نَبِيِّكَ وَ ارْزُقْنِي زِيَارَتَهُ مَا أَبْقَيْتَنِي وَ احْشُرْنِي مَعَهُ وَ مَعَ آبَائِهِ فِي الْجِنَانِ وَ ادْعُ لِنَفْسِكَ وَ لِوَالِدَيْكَ وَ لِإِخْوَانِكَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
O Allah-azwj! Write us with the testifiers! O Allah-azwj! Do not Make it last of the pacts of my visiting the grave of Your-azwj Guardian, and son-asws of the brother-asws of Your-azwj Prophet-saww, and Grace me to visit him-asws for as long as You-azwj Make me remain, and Gather me with him-asws and with his-asws forefathers-asws in the Gardens!’, and supplicate for yourself and for your parents and your Momineen brothers.
ثُمَّ ارْجِعْ إِلَى مَشْهَدِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع لِلْوَدَاعِ فَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ وَدَاعَهُ فَقِفْ عَلَيْهِ كَوُقُوفِكَ عَلَيْهِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَ قُلْ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنْتَ لِي جُنَّةٌ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ وَ هَذَا أَوَانُ انْصِرَافِي غَيْرَ رَاغِبٍ عَنْكَ وَ لَا مُسْتَبْدِلٍ بِكَ سِوَاكَ وَ لَا مُؤْثِرٍ عَلَيْكَ غَيْرَكَ وَ لَا زَاهِدٍ فِي قُرْبِكَ
Then return to the Mausoleum of Al-Husayn-asws for the farewell. When you intend to bid him-asws farewell, pause to him-asws like your pausing to him-asws the first time, and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O Guardian of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O Abu Abdullah-asws! You-asws are a shield for me from the Punishment, and this is the time of my leaving without turning away from you-asws, nor replacing you-asws with someone else, nor preferring others over you-asws, nor being abstemious regarding your-asws nearness!
أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى أَنْ لَا يَجْعَلَهُ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنِّي وَ مِنْ رُجُوعِي وَ أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ الَّذِي أَرَانِي مَكَانَكَ وَ هَدَانِي لِلتَّسْلِيمِ عَلَيْكَ وَ لِزِيَارَتِي إِيَّاكَ أَنْ يُورِدَنِي حَوْضَكُمْ وَ يَرْزُقَنِي مُرَافَقَتَكُمْ فِي الْجِنَانِ مَعَ آبَائِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ
I ask Allah-azwj the Exalted not to Make it last of the pacts from me and of my returning, and I ask Allah-azwj Who Showed me your-asws place, and Guided me for the greeting upon you-asws, and for my visiting you-asws, to Make me arrive at your-asws fountain and Grace me your-asws friendship in the Gardens with your-asws righteous forefathers-asws!’
ثُمَّ سَلِّمْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَ الْأَئِمَّةِ ع وَاحِداً وَاحِداً وَ ادْعُ بِمَا أَحْبَبْتَ ثُمَّ حَوِّلْ وَجْهَكَ إِلَى قُبُورِ الشُّهَدَاءِ فَوَدِّعْهُمْ وَ قُلْ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَجْعَلْهُ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنْ زِيَارَتِي إِيَّاهُمْ وَ أَشْرِكْنِي مَعَهُمْ فِي صَالِحِ مَا أَعْطَيْتَهُمْ عَلَى نَصْرِهِمْ ابْنَ نَبِيِّكَ وَ حُجَّتَكَ عَلَى خَلْقِكَ
Then greet unto the Prophet-saww and the Imams-asws, one by ones, and supplicate with whatever you like. Then turn your face towards the graves of the martyrs and bid them farewell and say, ‘The greeting be upon you all, and Mercy of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Blessings! O Allah-azwj! Do not Make it from the last of the pacts of my visiting them, and Participate me with them in the righteous of what You-azwj have Granted them upon their having helped the son-asws of Your-azwj Prophet-saww, and Your-azwj Divine Authority upon Your-azwj creatures!
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا وَ إِيَّاهُمْ فِي جَنَّتِكَ مَعَ الشُّهَداءِ وَ الصَّالِحِينَ وَ حَسُنَ أُولئِكَ رَفِيقاً أَسْتَوْدِعُكُمُ اللَّهَ وَ أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّلَامَ اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي الْعَوْدَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَ احْشُرْنِي مَعَهُمْ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
O Allah-azwj! Make us and them in Your-azwj Garden with the martyrs, and the righteous, and a goodly company they are! I entrust you all to Allah-azwj and convey the greeting upon you! O Allah-azwj! Grace me the returning to them and Gather me with them, O most Merciful of the merciful ones!’
ثُمَّ اخْرُجْ وَ لَا تُوَلِّ ظَهْرَكَ عَنِ الْقَبْرِ حَتَّى يَغِيبَ عَنْ مُعَايَنَتِكَ وَ قِفْ عَلَى الْبَابِ مُتَوَجِّهاً إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ وَ ادْعُ بِمَا أَحْبَبْتَ وَ انْصَرِفْ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى.
Then exit and do not turn around your back from the grave until it disappears from your vision, and pause at the door diverting to the Qiblah and supplicate with whatever you like, and leave, if Allah-azwj the Exalted Desires!’’[8]
أقول روى هذه الزيارة في المزار الكبير إلى قوله و ظاهركم و باطنكم ثم قال ثم انكب على القبر و قبله و قل بأبي أنت و أمي يا أبا عبد الله لقد عظمت الرزية و جلت المصيبة بك علينا و ساقها إلى آخر ما أورده المفيد رحمه الله.
I am saying, ‘This Ziyarat has been reported in ‘Al-Mazar Al-Kabeer’ up to his words, ‘And your-asws apparent and your-asws hidden’. Then he said, ‘Then devote upon the grave and kiss it and say, ‘May my father and my mother (be sacrificed for) you-asws, O Abu Abdullah-asws! The tragedy is mighty and the calamity with you-asws is immense upon us’ – and he continued it to end of what Al-Mufeed, may Allah-azwj Mercy him, had referred to’’.[9]
و أقول إن السيد و الشهيد رحمهما الله أحالا الوداع على ما سبق و قالا ثم امض إلى مشهد العباس رضي الله عنه فإذا أتيته فقف على قبره و قل السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا الْفَضْلِ الْعَبَّاسَ بْنَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ سَيِّدِ الْوَصِيِّينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَوَّلِ الْقَوْمِ إِسْلَاماً وَ أَقْدَمِهِمْ إِيمَاناً وَ أَقْوَمِهِمْ بِدِينِ اللَّهِ وَ أَحْوَطِهِمْ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ
And I said, ‘The Seyyid and Al-Shaheed, may Allah-azwj Mercy them, referred to the farewell based upon what has preceded and said, ‘Then continue to the Mausoleum of Al-Abbas-asws, may Allah-azwj be Pleased with him-asws. When you come to it, pause at his-asws grave and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O Abu Al-Fazl Al-Abbas Bin Amir Al-Momineen-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of chief of the successors-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of the first people of Islam, and their foremost in Eman, and their strongest with the religion of Allah-azwj and their most protective of Al-Islam!
أَشْهَدُ لَقَدْ نَصَحْتَ لِلَّهِ وَ لِرَسُولِهِ وَ لِأَخِيكَ فَنِعْمَ الْأَخُ الْمُوَاسِي فَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً اسْتَحَلَّتْ مِنْكَ الْمَحَارِمَ وَ انْتَهَكَتْ فِي قَتْلِكَ حُرْمَةَ الْإِسْلَامِ فَنِعْمَ الْأَخُ الصَّابِرُ الْمُجَاهِدُ وَ الْمُحَامِي النَّاصِرُ وَ الْأَخُ الدَّافِعُ عَنْ أَخِيهِ الْمُجِيبُ إِلَى طَاعَةِ رَبِّهِ الرَّاغِبُ فِيمَا زَهِدَ فِيهِ غَيْرُهُ مِنَ الثَّوَابِ الْجَزِيلِ وَ الثَّنَاءِ الْجَمِيلِ فَأَلْحَقَكَ اللَّهُ بِدَرَجَةِ آبَائِكَ فِي دَارِ النَّعِيمِ إِنَّهُ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
I testify you-asws had advised for Allah-azwj and for His-azwj Rasool-saww, and for your-asws brother-asws, as the best comforting brother-asws, the fighter, and the protection, the helper, the brother defending his-asws brother-asws, the responder to obedience of his-asws Lord-azwj, the desirous in what others had abstained from the plentiful Rewards, and the beautiful laudation! May Allah-azwj Join you-asws with the rank of your-asws forefathers-asws in the House of bliss, He-azwj is Praised, Glorified!’
ثُمَّ انْكَبَّ عَلَى الْقَبْرِ وَ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ تَعَرَّضْتُ وَ لِزِيَارَةِ أَوْلِيَائِكَ قَصَدْتُ رَغْبَةً فِي ثَوَابِكَ وَ رَجَاءً لِمَغْفِرَتِكَ وَ جَزِيلِ إِحْسَانِكَ
Then devote upon the grave and say, ‘O Allah-azwj! I have exposed to You-azwj and for visiting Your-azwj Guardians I have aimed, desirous regarding Your-azwj Rewards, and hoping for You-azwj Forgiveness and Your-azwj plentiful Favours!
فَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ رِزْقِي بِهِمْ دَارّاً وَ عَيْشِي بِهِمْ قَارّاً وَ زِيَارَتِي بِهِمْ مَقْبُولَةً وَ ذَنْبِي بِهِمْ مَغْفُوراً وَ اقْلِبْنِي بِهِمْ مُفْلِحاً مُنْجِحاً مُسْتَجَاباً دُعَائِي بِأَفْضَلِ مَا يَنْقَلِبُ بِهِ أَحَدٌ مِنْ زُوَّارِهِ وَ الْقَاصِدِينَ إِلَيْهِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
I ask You-azwj to Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww, and to Make my sustenance with them-asws abundant, and my life with them-asws stable, and my visiting them-asws Accepted, and my sins Forgiven through them-asws, and Return me successful with them-asws, gainful, my supplications Answered with the best of what anyone has returned from having visited him-asws, and the ones aiming to him-asws, by Your-azwj Mercy, O most Merciful of the merciful ones!’
ثُمَّ قَبِّلِ الضَّرِيحَ وَ صَلِّ عِنْدَهُ صَلَاةَ الزِّيَارَةِ وَ مَا بَدَا لَكَ.
Then kiss the Shrine and pray the Salat of Ziyarat in his-asws presence, and whatever occurs to you!’’[10]
باب 49 زيارته ع و سائر الأئمة صلوات الله عليهم حيهم و ميتهم من البعيد
CHAPTER 49 – HIS-asws ZIYARAT AND OF REST OF THE IMAMS-asws, MAY THE SALAWAAT OF ALLAH-azwj BEUPON THEM-asws, THEIR-asws LIVING ONES AND THEIR-asws DECEASED, FROM AFAR
1- مل، كامل الزيارات أَبِي عَنْ سَعْدٍ وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَمَّنْ رَوَاهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع إِذَا بَعُدَتْ بِأَحَدِكُمُ الشُّقَّةُ وَ نَأَتْ بِهِ الدَّارُ فَلْيَعْلُ أَعْلَى مَنْزِلٍ لَهُ فَيُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَ لْيُومِئْ بِالسَّلَامِ إِلَى قُبُورِنَا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يَصِيرُ إِلَيْنَا.
(The book) ‘Kamil Al Ziyaraat’ – My father, from Sa’ad and Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ibn Isa, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from the one who reported it, said,
‘Abu Abdullah-asws said: ‘If distance or remoteness of dwelling keeps one of you far away, then let him go to the highest place in his home, pray two units of Salat and let him gesture with the greeting to our-asws graves, for that will arrive to us-asws!’’[11]
2- مل، كامل الزيارات عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ أَخِي عَلِيٍّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَطَّارِ عَنْ حَمْدَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مَنِيعِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَنَانِ بْنِ سَدِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ فِي حَدِيثٍ طَوِيلٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَا سَدِيرُ مَا عَلَيْكَ أَنْ تَزُورَ قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ ع فِي كُلِّ جُمُعَةٍ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ وَ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ مَرَّةً
(The book) ‘Kamil Al Ziyaraat’ – Ali Bin Al-Husayn and brother of Ali, from Muhammad Al Attar, from Hamdan Bin Suleyman, from Abdullah Bin Muhammad, from Manie Bin Al Hajjaj, from Yunus Bin Abdul Rahman, from Hanan Bin Sadeyr, in a lengthy Hadeeth, said,
‘Abu Abdullah-asws said: ‘O Sadeyr! Visit the grave of Al-Husayn-asws five times during every week, and once during every day!’
قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ إِنَّ بَيْنَنَا وَ بَيْنَهُ فَرَاسِخَ كَثِيرَةً
I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you-asws! Between us and him-asws there are many Farsakhs (miles)!’
فَقَالَ تَصْعَدُ فَوْقَ سَطْحِكَ ثُمَّ تَلْتَفِتُ يَمْنَةً وَ يَسْرَةً ثُمَّ تَرْفَعُ رَأْسَكَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ ثُمَّ تَحَوَّلُ نَحْوَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ ثُمَّ تَقُولُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ تُكْتَبُ لَكَ زَوْرَةٌ وَ الزَّوْرَةُ حَجَّةٌ وَ عُمْرَةٌ
He-asws said: ‘Ascend above your roof, then turn right and left, then raise your head towards the sky, then imagine the grave of Al-Husayn-asws, then say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O Abu Abdullah-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws and Mercy of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Blessings!’ A Ziyarat will be Written for you, and the visitation (equates to) a Hajj and an Umrah!’
قَالَ سَدِيرٌ فَرُبَّمَا فَعَلْتُهُ فِي النَّهَارِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ عِشْرِينَ مَرَّةً.
Sadyer said, ‘Sometimes I did it during the day more than twenty times’’.[12]
بيان لا يبعد أن يكون الالتفات يمنة و يسرة إلى جانب الفوق للتقية لئلا يطلع عليه أحد.
Explanation – It is not unlikely that turning to the right and left toward the upper side is for the purpose of Taqiyyah (precautionary dissimulation), so that no one becomes aware of what he is doing.
3- أَقُولُ رَوَاهُ مُؤَلِّفُ الْمَزَارِ الْكَبِيرِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ سَدِيرٍ وَ فِيهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ.
I say, ‘The compiler of ‘Al-Mazar Al-Kabeer’ reported by his chain from Sadeyr, and in it is, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O Abu Abdullah-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww! The greeting be upon you-asws and Mercy of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Blessings!’’[13]
4- مل، كامل الزيارات حَكِيمُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مَنِيعٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ حَنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَا سَدِيرُ تَزُورُ قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ
(The book) ‘Kamil Al Ziyaraat’ – Hakeem Bin Dawood, from Salama, from Abdullah Bin Muhammad, from Manie, from Yunus, from Hanan, from his father who said,
‘Abu Abdullah-asws said: ‘O Sadeyr! Do you visit the grave of Al-Husayn-asws every day?’
قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ لَا
I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you-asws, no!’
قَالَ مَا أَجْفَاكُمْ فَتَزُورُهُ فِي كُلِّ شَهْرٍ
He-asws said: ‘How forsaking you are! Do you visit him every month?’
قُلْتُ لَا
I said, ‘No’.
قَالَ فَتَزُورُهُ فِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ
He-asws said: ‘Do you visit him every year?’
قُلْتُ قَدْ يَكُونُ ذَلِكَ
I said, ‘That has happened!’
قَالَ يَا سَدِيرُ مَا أَجْفَاكُمْ بِالْحُسَيْنِ أَ مَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ لِلَّهِ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ مَلَكٍ شُعْثاً غُبْراً يَبْكُونَ وَ يَزُورُونَ لَا يَفْتُرُونَ وَ مَا عَلَيْكَ يَا سَدِيرُ أَنْ تَزُورَ قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ ع فِي كُلِّ جُمُعَةٍ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ وَ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَ الْحَدِيثِ الْأَوَّلِ.
He-asws said: ‘O Sadeyr! How forsaking you all are with Al-Husayn-asws! Don’t you know that for Allah-azwj there are a million Angels, unkempt, dusty, crying and visiting, not taking a break, and what is against you, O Sadeyr, if you were to visit the grave of Al-Husayn-asws five times a week?’ – and he mentioned similar to the first Hadeeth’’.[14]
كا، الكافي يب، تهذيب الأحكام مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ مَنِيعٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَنَانِ بْنِ سَدِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ مِثْلَهُ
(The book) ‘Tahzeeb Al Ahkaam’ – Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Salama Bin Al Khattab, from Abdullah Bin Al Khattab, from Muhammad Bin Hassan, from Manie, from Yunus Bin Abdul Rahman, from Hanan Bin Sadeyr, from his father – similar to it.[15]
6- مل، كامل الزيارات رَوَى سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع كَيْفَ أَزُورُكَ إِذَا لَمْ أَقْدِرْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ قَالَ
(The book) ‘Kamil Al Ziyaraat’ – It is reported by Suleyman Bin Isa, from his father who said,
‘I said to Abu Abdullah-asws, ‘How can I visit you-asws when I am not able upon that?’
قَالَ لِي يَا عِيسَى إِذَا لَمْ تَقْدِرْ عَلَى الْمَجِيءِ فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاغْتَسِلْ أَوْ تَوَضَّأْ وَ اصْعَدْ إِلَى سَطْحِكَ وَ صَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَ تَوَجَّهْ نَحْوِي فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ زَارَنِي فِي حَيَاتِي فَقَدْ زَارَنِي فِي مَمَاتِي وَ مَنْ زَارَنِي فِي مَمَاتِي فَقَدْ زَارَنِي فِي حَيَاتِي.
He (the narrator) said, ‘He-asws said to me: ‘O Isa! When you are not able upon the coming, so when it would be the day of Friday, bathe or perform Wud’u, and climb to your rooftop and pray two units Salat and divert toward me-asws, for the one who visits me during my-asws lifetime has visited me-asws during my-asws expiry, and the one who visits me-asws after my-asws expiry has visited me-asws during my-asws lifetime!’’[16]
بيان: هذا الخبر يدل على أن زيارة الإمام الحي أيضا تجوز بهذا الوجه.فهذا مستند لزيارة القائم صلوات الله عليه في أي مكان أراد و يتوجه إلى السرداب المقدس.
Explanation – This Hadeeth evidence’s upon that Ziyarat of the living Imam-ajfj as well is allowed in this aspect. This is a basis for Ziyarat of Al-Qaim-ajfj, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon him-ajfj in whichever place one wants, and he should divert toward the Holy basement.
7- مل، كامل الزيارات مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مَنِيعٍ عَنْ حَنَانٍ عَنْ سَدِيرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَا سَدِيرُ تُكْثِرُ زِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ع
(The book) ‘Kamil Al Ziyaraat’ – Muhammad Bin Ja’far, from Muhammad Bin Al-Husayn, from Abdullah Bin Muhammad, from Manie, from Hanan, from Sadeyr who said,
‘Abu Abdullah-asws said to me: ‘O Sadeyr! Do you frequently visit the grave of Al-Husayn-asws Bin Ali-asws!’
قُلْتُ إِنَّهُ مِنَ الشُّغُلِ
I said, ‘I am too busy from that!’
فَقَالَ أَ لَا أُعَلِّمُكَ شَيْئاً إِذَا أَنْتَ فَعَلْتَهُ كُتِبَتْ لَكَ بِذَلِكَ الزِّيَارَةُ
He-asws said: ‘Shall I-asws teach you something, when you were to do it, it the Ziyarat will be written for you due to that?’
فَقُلْتُ بَلَى جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ
I said, ‘Yes, may I be sacrificed for you-asws!’
فَقَالَ لِيَ اغْتَسِلْ فِي مَنْزِلِكَ وَ اصْعَدْ إِلَى سَطْحِكَ وَ أَشِرْ إِلَيْهِ بِالسَّلَامِ تُكْتَبْ لَكَ بِذَلِكَ الزِّيَارَةُ.
He-asws said to me: ‘Bathe in your house and ascend to your rooftop, and indicate toward him-asws with the greeting, the Ziyarat will be written for you due to that’’.[17]
8- مل، كامل الزيارات ابْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنِ الصَّفَّارِ عَنِ ابْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَحْمَدَ عَمَّنْ رَوَاهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع إِذَا بَعُدَتْ عَلَيْكَ الشُّقَّةُ وَ نَأَتْ بِكَ الدَّارُ فَلْتَعْلُ أَعْلَى مَنْزِلِكَ فَلْتُصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَ لْتُومِئْ بِالسَّلَامِ إِلَى قُبُورِنَا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يَصِلُ إِلَيْنَا.
(The book) ‘Kamil Al Ziyaraat’ – Ibn Al Waleed, from Al Saffar, from Ibn Isa, from Ismail Bin Sahl, from Abu Ahmad, from the one who reported it, said,
‘Abu Abdullah-asws said: ‘‘If distance or remoteness of dwelling keeps one of you far away, go to the top of your house and pray two units Salat and gesture with the greeting, for that will arrive to us-asws!’’[18]
9- لي، الأمالي للصدوق الْعَطَّارُ عَنِ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صَبَّاحٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فِي حَدِيثٍ ذَكَرَ فِيهِ قِصَّةَ فُطْرُسَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى قَبِلَ تَوْبَتَهُ بِالتَّمَسُّحِ بِالْحُسَيْنِ ع إِلَى أَنْ قَالَ فَقَالَ فُطْرُسُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَمَا إِنَّ أُمَّتَكَ سَتَقْتُلُهُ وَ لَهُ عَلَيَّ مُكَافَاةَ أَنْ لَا يَزُورَهُ زَائِرٌ إِلَّا أَبْلَغْتُهُ عَنْهُ وَ لَا يُسَلِّمَ عَلَيْهِ مُسَلِّمٌ إِلَّا أَبْلَغْتُهُ سَلَامَهُ وَ لَا يُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ مُصَلٍّ إِلَّا أَبْلَغْتُهُ سلامه [صَلَاتَهُ].
(The book) ‘Al Amaali’ of Al Sadouq – Al Attar, from al Ash’ary, from Musa Bin Umar, from Abdullah Bin Sabah, from Ibrahim Bin Shueyb,
‘From Abu Abdullah-asws in a Hadeeth mentioning in it the story of (the Angel) Futrus. Allah-azwj the Exalted Accepted his repentance due to the wiping (of his wings) with Al-Husayn-asws’ – up to he-asws said: ‘Futrus said, ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! But your-saww community will be killing him-asws, and for him-asws upon me is a reciprocation that no visitor will visit him-asws except I will make him reach him-asws, nor will a greeting one greeting upon him-asws except I will deliver his greeting, nor a sender of Salawaat will send Salawaat upon him-asws except I will deliver his Salawaat’’.[19]
10- مل، كامل الزيارات مُحَمَّدٌ الْحِمْيَرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ: دَخَلَ حَنَانُ بْنُ سَدِيرٍ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع وَ عِنْدَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالَ يَا حَنَانَ بْنَ سَدِيرٍ تَزُورُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فِي كُلِّ شَهْرٍ مَرَّةً
(The book) ‘Kamil Al Ziyaraat’ – Muhammad Al Himeyri, from his father, from Al Barqy, from his father, raising it, said,
‘Hanan Bin Sadeyr entered to see Abu Abdullah-asws, and in his-asws presence was a group of his-asws companions. He-asws said: ‘O Hanan Bin Sadeyr! Do you visit Abu Abdullah-asws once every month?’
قَالَ لَا
He said, ‘No’.
قَالَ فَفِي كُلِّ شَهْرَيْنِ
He-asws said: ‘So, every two months?’
قَالَ لَا
He said, ‘No’.
قَالَ فَفِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ
He-asws said: ‘So, ever year?’
قَالَ لَا
He said, ‘No’.
قَالَ مَا أَجْفَاكُمْ بِسَيِّدِكُمْ
He-asws said: ‘How forsaking you all are with your chief!’
قَالَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ قِلَّةُ الزَّادِ وَ بُعْدُ الْمَسَافَةِ
He said, ‘O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww! (It is due to) lack of provisions and remoteness of the distance!’
قَالَ أَ لَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى زِيَارَةٍ مَقْبُولَةٍ وَ إِنْ بَعُدَ النَّائِي
He-asws said: ‘Shall I-asws point you to an Accepted Ziyarat, and even if the visitor is far away?’
قَالَ فَكَيْفَ أَزُورُهُ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
He said, ‘How shall I visit him-asws, O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww?’
قَالَ اغْتَسِلْ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَوْ أَيَّ يَوْمٍ شِئْتَ وَ الْبَسْ أَطْهَرَ ثِيَابِكَ وَ اصْعَدْ إِلَى أَعْلَى مَوْضِعٍ فِي دَارِكَ أَوِ الصَّحْرَاءِ فَاسْتَقْبِلِ الْقِبْلَةَ بِوَجْهِكَ بَعْدَ مَا تُبَيِّنُ أَنَّ الْقَبْرَ هُنَالِكَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى فَأَيْنَما تُوَلُّوا فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ اللَّهِ
He-asws said: ‘Bathe on the day of Friday, or whichever day you desire to, and wear your clean clothes and ascend to a high place in your house, or (go) to the desert. Face the Qiblah with your face after it is clear (imagined) that the grave is over there. Allah-azwj Blessed and Exalted Says: therefore wherever you turn to, so there would be the Face of Allah; [2:115]!’
ثُمَّ قُلْ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ وَ ابْنَ مَوْلَايَ وَ سَيِّدِي وَ ابْنَ سَيِّدِي السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا قَتِيلَ بْنَ الْقَتِيلِ الشَّهِيدَ بْنَ الشَّهِيدِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ أَنَا زَائِرُكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ بِقَلْبِي وَ لِسَانِي وَ جَوَارِحِي وَ إِنْ لَمْ أَزُرْكَ بِنَفْسِي وَ الْمُشَاهَدَةِ
Then say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O my master and son-asws of my master, and my chief son-asws of my chief! The greeting be upon you-asws O my master, O killed one son-asws of the killed one, the martyr son-asws of the martyr! The greeting be upon you-asws, and Mercy of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Blessings! I am your-asws visitor, O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww, with my heart, and my tongue, and my limbs, and even if I am not visiting you-asws myself and the attendance!
فَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ يَا وَارِثَ آدَمَ صَفْوَةِ اللَّهِ وَ وَارِثَ نُوحٍ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ وَ وَارِثَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ اللَّهِ وَ وَارِثَ مُوسَى كَلِيمِ اللَّهِ وَ وَارِثَ عِيسَى رُوحِ اللَّهِ وَ كَلِمَتِهِ وَ وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدٍ حَبِيبِ اللَّهِ وَ نَبِيِّهِ وَ رَسُولِهِ وَ وَارِثَ عَلِيٍّ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَصِيِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَ خَلِيفَتِهِ وَ وَارِثَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَصِيِّ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Upon you-asws be the greeting, O inheritor of Adam-as elite of Allah-azwj, and inheritor of Noah-as Prophet-as of Allah-azwj, and inheritor of Ibrahim-as friend of Allah-azwj, and inheritor of Musa-as converser with Allah-azwj, and inheritor of Isa-as Spirit of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Word, and inheritor of Muhammad-saww Beloved of Allah-azwj, and His-azwj Prophet-saww, and His-azwj Rasool-saww, and inheritor of Ali Amir Al-Momineen-asws successor-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww and His-azwj caliph, and inheritor of Al-Hassan-asws Bin Ali-asws successors-asws of Amir Al-Momineen-asws!
لَعَنَ اللَّهُ قَاتِلَكَ وَ جَدَّدَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعَذَابَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّاعَةِ وَ فِي كُلِّ سَاعَةٍ أَنَا يَا سَيِّدِي مُتَقَرِّبٌ إِلَى اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ وَ إِلَى جَدِّكَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَ إِلَى أَبِيكَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ إِلَى أَخِيكَ الْحَسَنِ وَ إِلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ
May Allah-azwj Curse your-asws killer and Renew the Punishment upon them in this time, and in every time! O my chief! I draw closer to Allah-azwj Majestic and Mighty, and to your-asws Rasool-Allah-saww and to your-asws father-asws Amir Al-Momineen-asws and to your-asws brother-asws Al-Hassan-asws, and to you-asws O my master!
فَعَلَيْكَ سَلَامُ اللَّهِ وَ رَحْمَتُهُ بِزِيَارَتِي لَكَ بِقَلْبِي وَ لِسَانِي وَ جَمِيعِ جَوَارِحِي فَكُنْ يَا سَيِّدِي شَفِيعِي لِقَبُولِ ذَلِكَ مِنِّي وَ أَنَا بِالْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ أَعْدَائِكَ وَ اللَّعْنَةِ لَهُمْ وَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَ إِلَيْكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ فَعَلَيْكَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ وَ رِضْوَانُهُ وَ رَحْمَتُهُ
Upon you-asws be the Greeting of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Mercy due to my visitation to you-asws with my heart, and my tongue, and the entirety of my limbs. O my chief! Be my intercessor for acceptance of that from me, and I, with the disavowing from your-asws enemies and cursing them and upon them, I draw closer to Allah-azwj and to you all altogether! Upon you-asws be the Salawaat of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Pleasure and His-azwj Mercy!’
ثُمَّ تَتَحَوَّلُ عَلَى يَسَارِكَ قَلِيلًا وَ تُحَوِّلُ وَجْهَكَ إِلَى قَبْرِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع وَ هُوَ عِنْدَ رِجْلِ أَبِيهِ وَ تُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ ادْعُ اللَّهَ بِمَا أَحْبَبْتَ مِنْ أَمْرِ دِينِكَ وَ دُنْيَاكَ ثُمَّ تُصَلِّي أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ فَإِنَّ صَلَاةَ الزِّيَارَةِ ثَمَانِيَةٌ أَوْ سِتَّةٌ أَوْ أَرْبَعَةٌ أَوْ رَكْعَتَانِ وَ أَفْضَلُهَا ثَمَانٌ تَسْتَقْبِلُ الْقِبْلَةَ نَحْوَ قَبْرِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع وَ تَقُولُ
Then turn to your left a little and turn your face to the grave of Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws (Ali Al-Akbar-asws), and he-asws is by the legs of his-asws father-asws, and greet unto him-asws similar to that. Then supplicate to Allah-azwj with whatever you like from the matters of your religion and your world. Then pray four units Salat, for the Salat of Ziyarat, eight or six or four or two units, and its best is eight. Face to the Qiblah by the grave of Abu Abdullah-asws and say,
أَنَا مُوَدِّعُكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ وَ ابْنَ مَوْلَايَ وَ سَيِّدِي وَ ابْنَ سَيِّدِي وَ مُوَدِّعُكَ يَا سَيِّدِي وَ ابْنَ سَيِّدِي يَا عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ مُوَدِّعُكُمْ يَا سَادَتِي يَا مَعْشَرَ الشُّهَدَاءِ فَعَلَيْكُمْ سَلَامُ اللَّهِ وَ رَحْمَتُهُ وَ رِضْوَانُهُ.
‘I bid farewell to you-asws O my master, and son-asws of my master, and my chief and son-asws of my chief, and I bid you-asws farewell O my chief and son-asws of my chief, O Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws, and I bid you all farewell O my chiefs, O community of martyrs! Upon you be the Greeting of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Mercy and His-azwj Pleasure!’’[20]
صبا، مصباح الزائر عَنْ حَنَانٍ مِثْلَهُ.
(The book) ‘Misbah Al Zaair’, from Hanan – similar to it.[21]
16 صبا، مصباح الزائر يُسْتَحَبُّ زِيَارَةُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع بَعْدَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ وَ يَعْلُوَ سَطْحَ دَارِهِ أَوْ فِي مَفَازَةٍ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ وَ يُومِئُ إِلَيْهِ بِالسَّلَامِ وَ يَقُولُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ وَ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ.
(The book) ‘Misbah Al-Zaair’ – ‘It is recommended to visit Abu Abdullah-asws after bathing and ascending to the rooftop of his house, or in a wilderness from the earth, and gesture to him-asws and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O my master’, and mentioned similar to it’’.[22]
13- يب، تهذيب الأحكام أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَمَّنْ رَوَاهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع إِذَا بَعُدَتْ بِأَحَدِكُمُ الشُّقَّةُ وَ نَأَتْ بِهِ الدَّارُ فَلْيَعْلُ عَلَى مَنْزِلِهِ وَ لْيُصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَ لْيُومِئْ بِالصَّلَاةِ إِلَى قُبُورِنَا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يَصِلُ إِلَيْنَا.
(The book) ‘Tahzeeb Al Ahkaam’ – Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from the one who reported it, said,
‘Abu Abdullah-asws said: ‘If distance or remoteness of dwelling keeps one of you far away, let him go to top of his dwelling, and let him pray two units Salat and let him gesture with the Salawaat to our-asws graves, for that will arrive to us-asws!’’[23]
وَ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَى الْأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ كَمَا يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ قَرِيبٍ غَيْرَ أَنَّكَ لَا يَصِحُّ أَنْ تَقُولَ أَتَيْتُكَ زَائِراً بَلْ تَقُولُ فِي مَوْضِعِهِ قَصَدْتُكَ بِقَلْبِي زَائِراً إِذْ عَجَزْتُ عَنْ حُضُورِ مَشْهَدِكَ وَ وَجَّهْتُ إِلَيْكَ سَلَامِي لِعِلْمِي أَنَّهُ يَبْلُغُكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ فَاشْفَعْ لِي عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ وَ تَدْعُو بِمَا أَحْبَبْتَ
And your sending greeting to the Imams-asws from afar just as you would from near, except that it is not proper for you to say, ‘I have come to visit you’. Rather, you should say in its place, ‘I have intended you-asws with my heart as a visitor, since I was unable to be present at your-asws Shrine, and I have directed my salutation to you-asws, knowing that it will reach you-asws, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon you-asws! So, intercede for me with your-asws Lord-azwj, Majestic and Mighty, and supplicate with whatever you like.
14- يب، تهذيب الأحكام كا، الكافي الْعِدَّةُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ ثُوَيْرِ بْنِ أَبِي فَاخِتَةَ قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَنَا وَ يُونُسُ بْنُ ظَبْيَانَ وَ الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ السَّرَّاجُ جُلُوساً عِنْدَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع وَ كَانَ الْمُتَكَلِّمُ يُونُسَ وَ كَانَ أَكْبَرَنَا سِنّاً فَقَالَ لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ إِنِّي كَثِيراً مَا أَذْكُرُ الْحُسَيْنَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ فَأَيَّ شَيْءٍ أَقُولُ
(The book) ‘Tahzeeb Al Ahkaam’, (and) ‘Al Kafi’ – The number, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Qasim, from his grandfather, from Al-Husayn Bin Suweyr Bin Abu Fakhta who said,
‘I and Yunus Bin Zabyan and al Mufazzal Bin Umar, and Abu Salama Al-Sarraj were seated in the presence of Abu Abdullah-asws, and the speaker was Yunus, and he was our eldest in age. He said to him-asws, ‘May I be sacrificed for you-asws! I frequently remember Al-Husayn-asws, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon him-asws, so which thing should I be saying?’
قَالَ قُلْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ تُعِيدُ ذَلِكَ ثَلَاثاً فَإِنَّ السَّلَامَ عَلَيْهِ يَصِلُ مِنْ قَرِيبٍ وَ بَعِيدٍ.
He-asws said: ‘Say, ‘May the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon you-asws O Abu Abdullah-asws!’, repeating that thrice, for the greeting upon him-asws arrives from near and afar!’’[24]
15- ق، الكتاب العتيق الغرويّ زِيَارَةٌ لِلْحُسَيْنِ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ بُعْدِ الْبِلَادِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ اللَّهِ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا إِمَامَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ سُلَالَةَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَ الْوَصِيِّينَ وَ شَاهِدَ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
(The book) ‘Kitab Al Ateeq’ of Al Gharqy –
Ziyarat of Al-Husayn-asws, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon him-asws from the distant cities – ‘The greeting be upon you-asws O Guardian of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws Divine Authority of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-asws O light of Allah-azwj in darkness of the earth! The greeting be upon you-asws O Imam-asws of the Momineen, and offspring of the Prophets-as and the successors-as, and witness on the Day of religion (Reckoning)!
السَّلَامُ عَلَى جَدِّكَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَى أَبِيكَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ وَارِثِ عِلْمِ النَّبِيِّينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَى أُمِّكَ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَى أَخِيكَ وَ شَقِيقِكَ الْحَسَنِ إِمَامِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ حُجَّةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
The greeting be upon your-asws grandfather-saww Rasool-Allah-saww chief of the Messengers-as, and last of the Prophets-as! The greeting be upon your-asws father-asws Amir Al-Momineen-asws, and inheritor of knowledge of the Prophets-as! The greeting be upon your-asws mother-asws (Syeda) Fatima-asws daughter-asws of Rasool-saww of Lord-azwj of the worlds! The greeting be upon your-asws brother-asws, and your-asws sibling Al-Hassan-asws Imam-asws of the Momineen and Divine Authority of Lord-azwj of the worlds!
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ وَ آبَاءَكَ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ وَ أَبْنَاءَك الَّذِينَ مِنْ بَعْدِكَ مَوَالِيَّ وَ أَوْلِيَائِي وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكُمْ أَصْفِيَاءُ اللَّهِ وَ خِيَرَتُهُ وَ حُجَّتُهُ الْبَالِغَةُ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ انْتَجَبَكُمْ بِعِلْمِهِ أَصْفِيَاءَ لِدِينِهِ وَ قُوَّاماً بِأَمْرِهِ وَ خُزَّاناً لِعِلْمِهِ وَ حَفَظَةً لِسِرِّهِ وَ مَعَادِنَ لِكَلِمَاتِهِ وَ تَرَاجِمَةً لِوَحْيِهِ وَ شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ
I testify you-asws and your-asws forefathers-asws, those who were from before you-asws, and your-asws son-asws, those from after you-asws, are masters and my masters, and I testify you-asws are elites of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Choice, and His-azwj conclusive Argument upon His-azwj creatures! He-azwj Selected you-asws all with His-azwj Knowledge as elites for His-azwj religion, and standing with His-azwj Commands, and treasurers of His-azwj Knowledge, and protectors of His-azwj Secrets, and the mines of His-azwj Words and interpreters of His-azwj Revelation and witnesses upon His-azwj servants!
وَ أَنَّهُ جَلَّ ذِكْرُهُ اسْتَرْعَى بِكُمْ خَلْقَهُ وَ أَوْرَثَكُمْ كِتَابَهُ وَ خَصَّكُمْ بِكَرَائِمِ الْإِيمَانِ وَ التَّنْزِيلِ وَ آتَاكُمُ التَّأْوِيلَ وَ جَعَلَكُمْ تَابُوتَ حِكْمَتِهِ وَ عَصَائِبَ عُرْوَتِهِ وَ مَنَاراً فِي بِلَادِهِ وَ ضَرَبَ لَكُمْ مَثَلًا مِنْ نُورِهِ وَ أَجْرَى فِيكُمْ مِنْ رَوْحِهِ وَ عَصَمَكُمْ مِنَ الزَّلَلِ وَ طَهَّرَكُمْ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ وَ أَذْهَبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ وَ آمَنَكُمْ مِنَ الْفِتَنِ فَبِكُمْ تَمَّتِ النِّعْمَةُ وَ اجْتَمَعَتِ الْفُرْقَةُ وَ ائْتَلَفَتِ الْكَلِمَةُ
And He-azwj, Majestic is His-azwj mention Made you-asws caretakers of His-azwj creatures, and Made you-asws inheritors of His-azwj Book, and Specialised you-asws with the honours of Eman, and the Scriptures, and Gave you-asws the explanation, and Made you-asws a treasure chest of His-azwj Wisdom, and the firmly bound ties of His-azwj Grasp, a guiding light in His-azwj lands, Set forth for you-asws an example from His-azwj light, Caused His-azwj spirit to flow through you-asws, Protected you-asws from error, Purified you-asws from defilement, Removed impurity from you-asws, Secured you from trials through you-asws the bounties were perfected, division was united, and the word became one.
فَلَكُمُ الطَّاعَةُ الْمُفْتَرَضَةُ وَ الْمَوَدَّةُ الْوَاجِبَةُ وَ أَنْتُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ اللَّهِ النُّجَبَاءُ وَ عِبَادُهُ الْمُكْرَمُونَ
The obedience is obligatory to you-asws all, and the cordiality is obligatory, and you-asws are Guardians of Allah-azwj, the captains, and His-azwj honourable worshippers!
أَدْعُوكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ بُعْدِ الْبِلَادِ وَ الْمَسَافَةِ زَائِراً مُسْتَبْصِراً لِشَأْنِكَ وَافِداً بِقَلْبِي نَحْوَكَ عَارِفاً بِحَقِّكَ مُوَالِياً لِأَوْلِيَائِكَ مُعَادِياً لِأَعْدَائِكَ فَعَلَيْكَ سَلَامُ اللَّهِ وَ رَحْمَتُهُ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
I call upon you, O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-azwj, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon him-saww and upon you-asws from a remote city and distance as a visitor insightful of your-asws glory, as a delegate with my heart toward you-asws, recognising your-asws right, a friend to your-asws friends, an enemy to your-asws enemies. Upon you-asws be the Greeting of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Mercy and His-azwj Blessings!
أَدْعُوكَ زَائِراً وَافِداً عَائِذاً بِكَ مُسْتَجِيراً مِمَّا حَمَلْتُ عَلَى نَفْسِي وَ احْتَطَبْتُ عَلَى ظَهْرِي فَكُنْ شَفِيعاً إِلَى رَبِّي وَ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّ لِي ذُنُوباً وَ أَوْزَاراً وَ لَكَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مَقَامٌ مَعْلُومٌ وَ جَاهٌ عَظِيمٌ
I call upon you-asws as a visitor and a delegate, taking refuge with you-asws, seeking shelter from what I have loaded upon myself, and burdened upon my back, so be an intercessor to my Lord-azwj and your-asws Lord-azwj, for there are sins and burdens for me, and there is a known position for you-asws in the Presence of Allah-azwj and a mighty honour!
اللَّهُمَّ يَا رَبَّ الْأَرْبَابِ صَرِيخَ الْمُسْتَصْرِخِينَ إِنِّي عُذْتُ بِوَلِيِّكَ وَ ابْنِ نَبِيِّكَ فَافْكُكْ رَقَبَتِي مِنَ النَّارِ آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ أَتَوَلَّى آخِرَكُمْ بِمَا أَتَوَلَّى بِهِ أَوَّلَكُمْ وَ أَبْرَأُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ كُلِّ وَلِيجَةٍ دُونَكُمْ فَكَفَرْتُ بِالْجِبْتِ وَ الطَّاغُوتِ وَ اللَّاتِ وَ الْعُزَّى
O Allah-azwj! O Lord-azwj of the lords, Responder to the cries of those who cry out! I have sought refuge with Your-azwj Guardian and the son-asws of Your-azwj Prophet-saww, so free my neck from the Fire! I believe in Allah-azwj and in what has been Revealed to you-saww, and I show allegiance to your-asws last one as I show allegiance to your-asws first, and I disassociate myself before Allah-azwj from every close bond besides you-asws! Thus, I disbelieve in the false gods, and the tyrants, and Al-Laat and Al-Uzza (two idols)!
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلَى آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلِيٍّ وَ فَاطِمَةَ وَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ الْأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ وُلْدِ الْحُسَيْنِ أَتَوَسَّلُ إِلَيْكَ بِهِمْ فَفُكَّ رَقَبَتِي مِنَ النَّارِ وَ لَا تَقْطَعْ رَجَائِي يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
O Allah-azwj! Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-asws and upon his-saww pure Progeny-asws! O Allah-azwj! O Lord-azwj of Muhammad-saww, and Ali-asws, and (Syeda) Fatima-asws, and Al-Hassan-asws, and Al-Husayn-asws, and the Imams-asws from the sons-asws of Al-Husayn-asws! I seek means to You-azwj through them-asws, so Liberate my neck from the Fire and do not Cut off my hopes, O most Merciful of the merciful ones!
وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَى مَلَائِكَةِ اللَّهِ الْعُكُوفِ فِي فِنَائِكَ وَ عَلَى الشُّهَدَاءِ الْمُسْتَشْهَدِينَ مَعَكَ الثَّاوِينَ حَوْلَكَ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
And the greeting be upon the Angels of Allah-azwj secluding in your-asws courtyard, and upon the martyrs martyred with you-asws, residing around you-asws, and Mercy of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Blessings!
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُصْطَفَى وَ بِحَقِّ وَلِيِّكَ وَ وَصِيِّ نَبِيِّكَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلِيٍّ الْمُرْتَضَى وَ بِحَقِّ الزَّهْرَاءِ فَاطِمَةَ الْكُبْرَى سَيِّدَةِ النِّسَاءِ وَ بِحَقِّ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ سِبْطَيْ نَبِيِّ الْهُدَى وَ رَضِيعَيِ الندا [النَّدَى] وَ بِحَقِّ عَلِيٍّ زَيْنِ الْعَابِدِينَ وَ قُرَّةِ عَيْنِ النَّاظِرِينَ وَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ بَاقِرِ عِلْمِ النَّبِيِّينَ
O Allah-azwj! I ask You-azwj by the right of our Prophet Muhammad Al-Mustafa-saww, and by the right of Your-azwj Guardian and successor of Your-azwj Prophet-saww, Amir Al-Momineen Ali Al-Murtaza-asws, and by the right of Al-Zahra (Syeda) Fatima-asws Al-Kubra, chieftess of women of the worlds, and by the right of Al-Hassan-asws and Al-Husayn-asws two grandsons-asws of the Prophet-saww of guidance, and the two infants of the generosity, and by the right of Zayn Al-Abideen-asws and delight of the eyes of the beholders, and by the right of Muhammad-asws expounder of knowledge of the Prophets-as!
وَ بِحَقِّ الْخَلَفِ جَعْفَرٍ الصَّادِقِ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ وَ بِحَقِّ مُوسَى الصَّالِحِ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ وَ بِحَقِّ عَلِيٍّ الرِّضَا مِنَ الرَّاضِينَ وَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ الْخَيِّرِ مِنَ الْخَيِّرِينَ وَ بِحَقِّ الصَّابِرِ عَلِيٍّ الشَّكُورِ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ وَ بِحَقِّ الْحَسَنِ التَّقِيِّ مِنَ التَّقِيِّينَ وَ السَّجَّادِ الثَّانِي وَ مُكَابِدِ لَيْلَةِ التَّمَامِ بِالسَّهَرِ
And by the right of the replacement, Ja’far Al-Sadiq-asws from the truthful ones, and by the right of Musa-asws the righteous from the righteous ones, and by the right of Ali-asws, the contented from the contented ones, and by the right of Muhammad-asws the choice from the choices, and by the right of the patient Ali-asws, the appreciative from the patient ones, and by the right of Al-Hassan-asws the pious from the pious ones, and the second Al-Sajjad-asws and he-asws endured the whole night with the vigil!
وَ بِحَقِّ النَّفْسِ الزَّكِيَّةِ وَ الرُّوحِ الطَّيِّبَةِ وَ الْخَلَفِ الصَّادِقِ وَ حُجَّتِكَ وَ بَيِّنَتِكَ عَلَى خَلْقِكَ وَ مَنْ هُمْ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُخَاصِمُونَ سَمِيِّ نَبِيِّكَ وَ مُظْهِرِ دِينِكَ وَ النَّاصِرِ لِأَوْلِيَائِكَ وَ الْقَاطِعِ لِأَعْدَائِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ وَ بِلَادِكَ
And by the right of the pure soul, and the goodly spirit, and the truthful replacement, and Your-azwj Divine Authority, and Your-azwj proof upon Your-azwj creatures, and the one they will be contending with on the Day of Qiyamah, named as Your-azwj Prophet-saww, and manifester of Your-azwj religion, and the helper of Your-azwj Guardians, and the one who cut off Your-azwj enemies among Your-azwj servants and Your-azwj lands!
اللَّهُمَّ فَبِحَقِّكَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ بِحَقِّهِمْ عَلَيْكَ وَ بِشَأْنِهِمْ عِنْدَكَ فَإِنَّ لَهُمْ عِنْدَكَ شَأْناً مِنَ الشَّأْنِ تُبْ عَلَيَّ يَا تَوَّابُ وَ افْتَحْ عَلَيَّ أَبْوَابَ رِزْقِكَ الْحَلَالِ الطَّيِّبِ وَ عَلَى أَهْلِي وَ وُلْدِي وَ إِخْوَتِي وَ عَلَى جَمِيعِ عِبَادِكَ مِنْ إِخْوَانِيَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
O Allah-azwj! By Your-azwj Right upon them-asws and by their-asws right upon You-azwj, and by their-asws glory in Your-azwj Presence, for there is glory for them-asws in Your-azwj Presence! Turn to me O Oft-turning, and Open the doors of Your-azwj Permissible sustenance upon me and upon my family, and my children, and my brethren, and upon the entirety of Your-azwj servants from my believing brothers and the believing women!
وَ أَعِذْنِي وَ أَهْلِي وَ وُلْدِي وَ إِخْوَتِي وَ أَهْلَ عِنَايَتِي وَ إِخْوَانِي مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ مِنَ النَّارِ فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَ لَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي وَ لَا إِلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ وَ لَا أَقَلَّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَ لَا أَكْثَرَ
And refuge me and my family and my children, and my brothers, and people of my favours, and my brethren from the believing men and the believing women, from the poverty in the world and from the Fire in the Hereafter, and do not Allocate me to myself, and not to anyone from Your-azwj creatures for the blink an eye, neither less than that nor more!
وَ أَصْلِحْ لِي وَ لِأَهْلِي وَ وُلْدِي وَ إِخْوَتِي وَ أَخَوَاتِي شَأْنَنَا كُلَّهُ وَ اكْفِنِي وَ إِيَّاهُمْ مَا أَهَمَّنَا مِنْ أَمْرِ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ كُلِّ فِتْنَةٍ وَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَ أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ وَ عَلَى آلِهِ الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً.
And Correct for me and for my family, and my children, and my brothers, and my sisters, all of our affairs, whatever worries us from matters of the world and the Hereafter! I seek Refuge with you-asws from every Fitna and from Fitna of Al-Dajjal-la, O Lord-azwj of the worlds, and O most Merciful of the merciful ones, and may Allah-azwj Send Salawaat upon our chief Muhammad-saww, the Prophet-saww of Mercy, and upon his-saww goodly Progeny-asws, the pure, and abundant greetings!’’[25]
16- قَالَ مُؤَلِّفُ الْمَزَارِ الْكَبِيرِ اسْتِغَاثَةٌ إِلَى صَاحِبِ الزَّمَانِ ع مِنْ حَيْثُ تَكُونُ تُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِالْحَمْدِ وَ سُورَةٍ وَ قُمْ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ تَحْتَ السَّمَاءِ وَ قُلْ سَلَامُ اللَّهِ الْكَامِلُ التَّامُّ الشَّامِلُ الْعَامُّ وَ صَلَوَاتُهُ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ الْقَائِمَةُ التَّامَّةُ عَلَى حُجَّةِ اللَّهِ وَ وَلِيِّهِ فِي أَرْضِهِ وَ بِلَادِهِ
The compiler of ‘Al-Mazaar Al-Kabeer’ said, ‘Cry for help to master of the time (Al-Qaim-ajfj) from wherever you may be – ‘You should pray two units Salat with Surah Al Hamd, and a Surah, and stand facing the Qiblah beneath the (open) sky, and say, ‘The Greeting of Allah-azwj, the Perfect, the complete, the Inclusive, the general, and His-azwj Salawaat, and His-azwj staying Blessings, the complete, be upon the Divine Authority of Allah-azwj and His-azwj representative in His-azwj land and territories!
وَ خَلِيفَتِهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ وَ عِبَادِهِ وَ سُلَالَةِ النُّبُوَّةِ وَ بَقِيَّةِ الْعِتْرَةِ وَ الصَّفْوَةِ صَاحِبِ الزَّمَانِ وَ مُظْهِرِ الْإِيمَانِ وَ مُعْلِنِ أَحْكَامِ الْقُرْآنِ مُطَهِّرِ الْأَرْضِ وَ نَاشِرِ الْعَدْلِ فِي الطُّولِ وَ الْعَرْضِ وَ الْحُجَّةِ الْقَائِمِ الْمَهْدِيِّ الْإِمَامِ الْمُنْتَظَرِ الْمُرْتَضَى الطَّاهِرِ ابْنِ الْأَئِمَّةِ الطَّاهِرِينَ الْوَصِيِّ ابْنِ الْأَوْصِيَاءِ الْمَرْضِيِّينَ الْهَادِي الْمَهْدِيِّ ابْنِ الْأَئِمَّةِ الْمَعْصُومِينَ
And His-azwj vicegerent over His-azwj creation and servants, the descendant of Prophethood, the remainder of the purified lineage and the elite, the Master of the Time, the one who manifests faith, the one who proclaims the rulings of the Quran, the purifier of the earth, the spreader of justice across its length and breadth, the standing proof, the Mahdi-ajfj, the awaited and chosen Imam-ajfj, the pure one, son of the pure Imams-ajfj, the legatee from the line of accepted legatees, the rightly guiding, rightly guided one, son-ajfj of the infallible Imams-asws!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِلْمِ النَّبِيِّينَ وَ مُسْتَوْدَعَ حِكَمِ الْوَصِيِّينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُعِزَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُذِلَّ الْكَافِرِينَ الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ الظَّالِمِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
The greeting be upon you-ajfj O inheritor of knowledge of the Prophets-as, and depository of rulings of the successors-ajfj! The greeting be upon you-ajfj O honour of the Momineen, the weak! The greeting be upon you-ajfj O humiliator of the Kafirs, the arrogant, the oppressors! The greeting be upon you-ajfj O my master, master of the time, O son-ajfj of Rasool-Allah-saww!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ ابْنَ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْحُجَجِ عَلَى الْخَلْقِ أَجْمَعِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ سَلَامَ مُخْلِصٍ لَكَ فِي الْوَلَاءِ
The greeting be upon you-ajfj O son-asws of Amir Al-Momineen-asws and son-ajfj of (Syeda) Fatima Al-Zahra-asws chieftess of women of the worlds! The greeting be upon you-ajfj O son-ajfj of the Divine Authorities upon the entire creatures! The greeting be upon you-ajfj O my master, a greeting sincerely for you-ajfj in the friendship!
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ الْإِمَامُ الْمَهْدِيُّ قَوْلًا وَ فِعْلًا وَ أَنَّكَ الَّذِي يَمْلَأُ الْأَرْضَ قِسْطاً وَ عَدْلًا فَجَعَلَ اللَّهُ فَرَجَكَ وَ سَهَّلَ مَخْرَجَكَ وَ قَرَّبَ زَمَانَكَ وَ كَثَّرَ أَنْصَارَكَ وَ أَعْوَانَكَ وَ أَنْجَزَ لَكَ مَا وَعَدَكَ فَهُوَ أَصْدَقُ الْقَائِلِينَ وَ نُرِيدُ أَنْ نَمُنَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ نَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةً وَ نَجْعَلَهُمُ الْوارِثِينَ
I testify you-ajfj are the Imam Al Mahdi-ajfj in word and action, and you-ajfj are the one will fill the earth with fairness and justice. May Allah-azwj Make your-ajfj relief and Facilitate your-ajfj emergence, and Draw your-asws era near, and Multiply your-ajfj helpers and your-ajfj supporters, and Fulfil for you-ajfj what He-azwj has Promised you-ajfj, for He-azwj is most Truthful of the speakers: And We Intend to Confer upon those who were weakened in the land, and to Make them Imams, and Make them the inheritors [28:5]!
يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ حَاجَتِي كَذَا وَ كَذَا فَاشْفَعْ لِي فِي نَجَاحِهَا فَقَدْ تَوَجَّهْتُ إِلَيْكَ بِحَاجَتِي لِعِلْمِي أَنَّ لَكَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ شَفَاعَةً مَقْبُولَةً وَ مَقَاماً مَحْمُوداً
O my master, O master of the time, O son-ajfj of Rasool-Allah-saww! My needs are such and such, so Intercede for me for its success, for I have diverted my needs to you-ajfj due to my knowledge that for you-asws there is Accepted intercession in the Presence of Allah-azwj and a praiseworthy position!
فَبِحَقِّ مَنِ اخْتَصَّكُمْ لِأَمْرِهِ وَ ارْتَضَاكُمْ بِسِرِّهِ وَ بِالشَّأْنِ الَّذِي بَيْنَكُمْ وَ بَيْنَهُ سَلِ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى فِي نُجْحِ طَلِبَتِي وَ إِجَابَةِ دَعْوَتِي وَ كَشْفِ كُرْبَتِي وَ ادْعُ بِمَا أَحْبَبْتَ فَإِنَّهُ يُقْضَى إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى.
By the right of the one Specialised you-asws all with His-azwj Command, and Selected you-asws for His-azwj Secrets, and by the glory which is between you-asws and Him-azwj, ask Allah-azwj the Exalted regarding the success of my search, and Answer of my supplication, and Removal of my distress!’ – and supplicate with whatever you like for it shall be fulfilled, if Allah-azwj the Exalted so Desires!’’[26]
أَقُولُ وَجَدْتُ فِي أَدْعِيَةِ عَرَفَةَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْإِقْبَالِ زِيَارَةً جَامِعَةً لِلْبَعِيدِ مَرْوِيَّةً عَنِ الصَّادِقِ ع يَنْبَغِي زِيَارَتُهُمْ ع بِهَا فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ لَا سِيِّمَا يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ
I say, ‘I found among supplications of Arafaat from the book ‘Al-Iqbal’, a comprehensive Ziyarat for the one far away, reported from Al-Sadiq-asws befitting their-asws Ziyarat with it during every especially the day of Arafaat –
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خِيَرَةَ اللَّهِ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ وَ أَمِينَهُ عَلَى وَحْيِهِ
‘The greeting be upon you-asws O Rasool-Allah-saww! The greeting be upon you-saww O Prophet-saww of Allah-azwj! The greeting be upon you-saww O Choice of Allah-azwj from His-azwj creatures, and His-azwj trustee upon His-azwj Revelation!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ أَنْتَ حُجَّةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ وَ بَابُ عِلْمِهِ وَ وَصِيُّ نَبِيِّهِ وَ الْخَلِيفَةُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ فِي أُمَّتِهِ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً غَصَبَتْكَ حَقَّكَ وَ قَعَدَتْ مَقْعَدَكَ أَنَا بَرِيءٌ مِنْهُمْ وَ مِنْ شِيعَتِهِمْ إِلَيْكَ
The greeting be upon you-asws O my master, O Amir Al-Momineen-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O my master! You-asws are a Divine Authority of Allah-azwj upon His-azwj creatures, and a door of His-azwj Knowledge, and successor-asws of His-azwj Prophet-saww, and the caliph from after him-asws in his-saww community! May Allah-azwj Curse the community which usurped your-asws rights and sat in your-asws place! I disavow from them and from their adherents to you-asws!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ الْبَتُولُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا زَيْنَ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ رَسُولِ [رَبِ] الْعَالَمِينَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكِ وَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا أُمَّ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ
The greeting be upon you-asws O (Syeda) Fatima-asws the chaste! The greeting be upon you-asws O adornment of women of the worlds! The greeting be upon O daughter-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww of Lord-azwj of the worlds! May Allah-azwj Send Salawaat upon you-asws and upon him-saww! The greeting be upon you-asws O mother-asws of Al-Hassan-asws and Al-Husayn-asws!
لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً غَصَبَتْكِ حَقَّكِ وَ مَنَعَتْكِ مَا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَكِ أَنَا بَرِيءٌ إِلَيْكِ مِنْهُمْ وَ مِنْ شِيعَتِهِمْ
May Allah-azwj Curse the community which usurped your-asws rights and prevented you-asws what Allah-azwj had Made for you-asws! I disavow to you-asws from them and their adherents!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنَ الزَّكِيَّ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ وَ بَايَعَتْ فِي أَمْرِكَ وَ شَايَعَتْ أَنَا بَرِيءٌ إِلَيْكَ مِنْهُمْ وَ مِنْ شِيعَتِهِمْ
The greeting be upon you-asws O my master, O Abu Muhammad-asws Al-Hassan-asws the pure! The greeting be upon you-asws O my master! May Allah-azwj Curse the community which killed you-asws and had pledged regarding your-asws matter and had supported it! I disavow to you-asws from them and from their adherents!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى أَبِيكَ وَ جَدِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ ص لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً اسْتَحَلَّتْ دَمَكَ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ وَ اسْتَبَاحَتْ حَرِيمَكَ وَ لَعَنَ أَشْيَاعَهُمْ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْمُمَهِّدِينَ بِالتَّمْكِينِ مِنْ قِتَالِكُمْ أَنَا بَرِيءٌ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْهُمْ
The greeting be upon you-asws O my master, O Abu Abdullah Al-Husayn-asws Bin Ali-asws, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon you-asws, and upon your-asws father-asws and your-asws grandfather-saww! May Allah-azwj Curse the community which legalised (shedding of) your-asws blood, and may Allah-azwj Curse the community which killed you-asws and plundered your-asws sanctuary, and may Allah-azwj Curse their adherents, and may Allah-azwj Curse the ones who had paved the way to enable your-asws killing! I disavow to Allah-azwj and to you-asws from them!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا الْحَسَنِ مُوسَى بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا الْحَسَنِ عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُوسَى
Then greeting be upon you-asws O my master, O Abu Muhammad Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O my master, O Abu Ja’far Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O my master, O Abu Abdullah Ja’far-asws Bin Muhammad-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O my master, O Abu Al-Hassan Musa-asws Bin Ja’far-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O my master, O Abu Al-Hassan Ali-asws Bin Musa-asws!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا الْحَسَنِ عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا حُجَّةَ بْنَ الْحَسَنِ صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى عِتْرَتِكَ الطَّاهِرَةِ الطَّيِّبَةِ
The greeting be upon you-asws O my master, O Abu Ja’far Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O my master, O Abu Muhammad Hassan-asws Bin Ali-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws O my master, O Divine Authority son-ajfj of Al-Hassan-asws, master of the time! May Allah-azwj Send Salawaat upon you-asws and upon your-ajfj family, the pure, the goodly!
يَا مَوَالِيَّ كُونُوا شُفَعَائِي فِي حَطِّ وِزْرِي وَ خَطَايَايَ آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَ أَتَوَالَى آخِرَكُمْ بِمَا أَتَوَالَى أَوَّلَكُمْ وَ بَرِئْتُ مِنَ الْجِبْتِ وَ الطَّاغُوتِ وَ اللَّاتِ وَ الْعُزَّى
O my masters! Be my intercessors in offloading my burdens, and my misdeeds! I believe in Allah-azwj and with has been Sent down to you-asws, and I befriend your-asws last one with what I befriend your-asws first one, and I disavow from the false gods and the tyrants, and Al-Laat and Al-Uzza (two idols)!
يَا مَوَالِيَّ أَنَا سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَأَلَكُمْ وَ حَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ وَ عَدُوٌّ لِمَنْ عَادَاكُمْ وَ وَلِيٌّ لِمَنْ وَالاكُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ ظَالِمِيكُمْ وَ غَاصِبِيكُمْ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أَشْيَاعَهُمْ وَ أَتْبَاعَهُمْ وَ أَهْلَ مَذْهَبِهِمْ وَ أَبْرَأُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُمْ.
O masters! I am at peach to the one at peace with you-asws and at war with the one at war with you-asws, and an enemy to the one being inimical to you-asws and a friend to the one befriending you-asws, up to the Day of Qiyamah, and may Allah-azwj Curse your-asws oppressors and your-asws usurpers, and may Allah-azwj Curse their adherents and their followers, and people of their doctrine, and I disavow from them all and (adhere) to Allah-azwj and to you-asws all!’’[27]
17- وَ وَجَدْتُ بِخَطِّ بَعْضِ الْأَفَاضِلِ نَقْلًا مِنْ خَطِّ الشَّهِيدِ بْنِ مَكِّيٍّ قَدَّسَ اللَّهُ رُوحَهُمَا عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الْفَارِسِيِّ قَالَ: كُنْتُ كَثِيرَ الزِّيَارَةِ لِمَوْلَانَا أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فَقَلَّ مَالِي وَ ضَعُفَ مِنَ الْكِبَرِ جِسْمِي فَتَرَكْتُ الزِّيَارَةَ فَرَأَيْتُ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص فِي الْمَنَامِ وَ مَعَهُ الْحَسَنُ وَ الْحُسَيْنُ فَمَرَرْتُ بِهِمْ
And I found in the handwriting of one of the meritorious ones, copying from the handwriting of Al Shadeed Bin Makki, may Allah-azwj Sanctify their souls, from him, from Abu Al-Hassan Al Farsy who said,
‘I used to frequent the Ziyarat of our master Abu Abdullah-asws! My wealth became less and my body became weak from the old age, so I left the Ziyarat. One night I saw Rasool-Allah-saww in the dream and with him-saww were Al-Hassan-asws and Al-Husayn-asws. I passed by them-asws.
فَقَالَ الْحُسَيْنُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا الرَّجُلُ كَانَ يُكْثِرُ زِيَارَتِي فَانْقَطَعَ عَنِّي
Al-Husayn-asws said: ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! This man used to frequently visit me-asws, but he has cut off from me-asws!
فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَ عَنْ مِثْلِ الْحُسَيْنِ تُهَاجِرُ وَ تَتْرُكُ زِيَارَتَهُ
Rasool-Allah-saww said: ‘Is it from the likes of Al-Husayn-asws you are fleeing and neglecting his-asws Ziyarat?’
فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ حَاشَا لِي أَنْ أَهْجُرَ مَوْلَايَ لَكِنِّي ضَعُفْتُ وَ كَبِرْتُ وَ لِهَذَا عَزَّتْ زِيَارَتُهُ وَ لِقِلَّةِ مَالِي تَرَكْتُ زِيَارَتَهُ
I said, ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! Far be it for me to forsake my master! But I have become weak and my age is old, and for this reason visiting him-asws is difficult, and due to scarcity of my wealth I have left visiting him-asws!’
فَقَالَ ع اصْعَدْ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ عَلَى سَطْحِ دَارِكَ وَ أَشِرْ بِإِصْبَعِكَ السَّبَّابَةِ إِلَيْهِ وَ قُلْ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى جَدِّكَ وَ أَبِيكَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى أُمِّكَ وَ أَخِيكَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى الْأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ بَنِيكَ
He-asws said: ‘Ascend every night upon the roof of your house and indicate with your index finger toward him-asws and say, ‘The greeting be upon you-asws and upon your-asws grandfather-saww and your-asws father-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws and upon your-asws mother-asws, and your-asws brother-asws! The greeting be upon you-asws and upon the Imams-asws from your-asws sons-asws!
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَاحِبَ الدَّمْعَةِ السَّاكِبَةِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَاحِبَ الْمُصِيبَةِ الرَّاتِبَةِ لَقَدْ أَصْبَحَ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ فِيكَ مَهْجُوراً وَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فِيكَ مَحْزُوناً وَ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
The greeting be upon you-asws, O companion of the flowing tears! The greeting be upon you-asws companion of the tragedy! The Book of Allah-azwj has become forsaken in your-asws case, and Rasool-Allah-azwj is grieving regarding you-asws, and upon you-asws be the greeting and Mercy of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Blessings!
السَّلَامُ عَلَى أَنْصَارِ اللَّهِ وَ خُلَفَائِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى أُمَنَاءِ اللَّهِ وَ أَحِبَّائِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى مَحَالِّ مَعْرِفَةِ اللَّهِ وَ مَعَادِنِ حِكْمَةِ اللَّهِ وَ حَفَظَةِ سِرِّ اللَّهِ وَ حَمَلَةِ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَ أَوْصِيَاءِ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ وَ ذُرِّيَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
The greeting be upon the helpers of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Caliphs! The greeting be upon trustees of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Loved ones! The greeting be upon the places of recognising Allah-azwj, and mines of the Wisdom of Allah-azwj, and protectors of the Secrets of Allah-azwj, and bearers of the Book of Allah-azwj, and successors-asws of the Prophet-saww of Allah-azwj, and offspring of Rasool-Allah-saww, and Mercy of Allah-azwj and His-azwj Blessings!’
ثُمَّ سَلْ مَا شِئْتَ فَإِنَّ زِيَارَتَكَ تُقْبَلُ مِنْ قَرِيبٍ وَ بَعِيدٍ.
Then ask whatever you desire, for your Ziyarat is Accepted, from near and far’’.[28]
