Ḥadīth mashhūr (مشهور, الْمَشْهُورِ)

A Well-known Hadith from Ahadith

(The book) ‘Al Mutahajjid’

Description of the Salat of Eid – He should stand facing the Qiblah and begin the Salat concentrating in it and exclaim Takbeer of the beginning. When he concentrates, he should recite Surah Al Hamd and Al A’ala, then he should raise his hands with the Takbeer. When he exclaims Takbeer he should say: –

O Allah-azwj, rightful of the Greatness and the Magnificence, and rightful of the Generosity and the Force, and rightful of the Pardon and the Mercy, and rightful of being feared and the Forgiveness!

I ask You-azwj by the right of this day which You-azwj have Made it as an Eid for the Muslims and a treasure and an increase for Muhammad-saww, to Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww, and to Insert me into every goodness You-azwj had Inserted Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-asws into, and to Extract me from every evil You-azwj had Extracted Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww from, may Your-azwj Salawaat be upon him-saww and upon them-asws!

O Allah-azwj! I ask You-azwj for goodness what Your-azwj righteous servants had asked You-azwj for, and I seek Refuge with You-azwj from what Your-azwj righteous servants had sought Refuge from!’

Then he-asws mentioned the Salat based upon ‘الْمَشْهُورِ’ the well-known and mentioned in the second (Cycle, Surah) Al Shams’.[1]
