Fast (Fasting in the Month of Ramazan)
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
You who believe, fasting has been prescribed for you just as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may (learn) self-restraint (guard against evil) (2:183-2:187).
