Fadl (فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ )

The Divine Blessings

وَلَا تَتَمَنَّوْا مَا فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهِ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۚ لِلرِّجَالِ نَصِيبٌ مِمَّا اكْتَسَبُوا ۖ وَلِلنِّسَاءِ نَصِيبٌ مِمَّا اكْتَسَبْنَ ۚ وَاسْأَلُوا اللَّهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا {32}

And do not be coveting what ‘فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ ’ Allah have Graced with some of you above the others. For the men there is a share from what they earn, and for the women there is a share from what they earn, and ask Allah from His Grace. Allah would always be Knowing with everything [4:32]

Ibn Shehr Ahsub,

 Al-Baqir-asws and Al-Sadiq-asws regarding the Words of the Exalted: that is the Grace of Allah: He Gives it to whom He so Desires to [57:21], from His-azwj servants, and regarding the Words of the Exalted: And do not be coveting what Allah have Graced with some of you above the others [4:32], said: ‘Both of these were Revealed regarding Amir-Al-Momineen-asws’.[1]

ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ {4}

That is the Grace of Allah. He Gives it to ones He so Desires to, and Allah is with the Mighty Grace [62:4]

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Al Mustawrid Al Nakhaie, from the one who reported it,

From Abu Abdullah-asws having said: ‘From the Angels who are in the sky, they come to know of the one, and the two, and the three (Shias) when they are mentioning the merits of the Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww. So they are saying: ‘But, are you not seeing these who are in their few numbers, and the abundance of their enemies, describing the merits of the Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww?’’

He-asws said: ‘Then another group of Angels is saying: That is the Grace of Allah. He Gives it to ones He so Desires to, and Allah is with the Mighty Grace [62:4]’’.[2]
