Brief Introduction of Chapter One:
Surah Al Fatiha was revealed in Makkah and it has seven verses 7 including โBismillah Al-Rehman Al-Rahimโ (In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful 1:1).
Abu Basir reports from Imam Abu Abdullah-asws regarding his (questions on the Verses of Surah Al Fatiha, โPraise be to God (1:2),โ Imam-asws said, โThanks be to Godโ โ regarding Hisโazwj Statement, โLord of the worlds (1:3),โImam-asws said, โHe-azwj Created the creation, the Most Gracious to all of His creation, the Most Merciful to the believers in particular, Malik The Day of Judgment (1:4). Imam-asws said: The Day of Reckoning. The evidence for that is His-azwj Statement: โAnd they said: โWoe to us! This is the Day of Judgment (37:20).โโ Meaning: The Day of Reckoning. โYou alone do we worship (1:5).โ Addressing Allah-azwj, the Almighty and Majestic. โAnd You alone do we ask for help.โ Similar to it. โGuide us to the straight path (1:6).โ Imam-asws said: The path and knowledge of the Imam-asws. He (Abu Basir) said: My father narrated to me from Hammad, who from (Imam) Abu Abdullah-asws, regarding His-azwj statement: โThe straight path.โ Imam-asws said, โHe-asws is the Commander of the Faithful (Ali Amir Al-Momineen-asws)โ[1]
MERITS
ุนู ุฌุงุจุฑ ุนู ุงููุจู ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ุญุฏูุซ ุทููู ูููู ููู ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ุญุงููุง ุนู ุงููู ุชุนุงูู ูุงุนุทูุช ุงู ุชู ููุฒุง ู ู ูููุฒ ุนุฑุดู ูุงุชุญุฉ ุงููุชุงุจ
(It has been narrated) from the Holy Prophet-saww, in a lengthy Hadeeth โ in which Allah-azwj has Said to him-saww: โI-azwj have Given to you-saww and your-saww community, a treasure from the treasures of the Throne โ the โOpening of the Book (Chapter 1)โโ.[2]
ูู ูุชุงุจ ุงูุฎุตุงู ุนู ุฃุจู ุนุจุฏ ุงููู ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ูุงู: ุฑู ุงุจููุณ ุฃุฑุจุน ุฑูุงุช ุงูููู ููู ูุนูุ ูุญูู ุฃูุจุท ุฅูู ุงูุงุฑุถุ ูุญูู ุจุนุซ ู ุญู ุฏ ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ุนูู ุญูู ูุชุฑุฉ ู ู ุงูุฑุณูุ ูุญูู ุงูุฒูุช ุงู ุงููุชุงุจ
(It is reported) from Abu Abdullah-asws: โIblees-la shrieked four shrieks. First one was on the day when he-la was Cursed, and when he-la was cast down to the earth, and when Muhammad-saww was Sent after an interval from the Rasools-as, and when the โMother of the Bookโ (Umm Al-Kitaab) was Sent downโ.[3]

Ibn Babuwayh, from his father, from Muhammad Bin Yahya Al-Ataar, from Muhammad Bin Ahmad, from Muhammad Bin Hasaan, from Ismail Bin Mahraan, from Al-Hassan Bin Ali Bin Abu Hamza Al-Bataโiny, from his father who said:
โAbu Abdullah-asws said: โThe Most Magnificent Name of Allah-azwj (Al-Ism Aโazam) is a segment in the Mother of the Book (Umm Al-Kitaab)โ.[4]

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Salmat Bin Mahraz who said:
โI heard from Abu Jaโfar-asws saying: โThe one whom Al-Hamd does not cure will not get cured by anythingโ.[5]
(ุฃู ุงูู ุงูุดูุฎ) ุจุฅุณูุงุฏูุ ูุงู: ูุงู ุงูุตุงุฏู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ): ยซู ู ูุงูุชู ุนูุฉุ ููููุฑุฃ ุงูุญู ุฏ ูู ุฌูุจูย ุณุจุน ู ุฑุงุชุ ูุฅู ุฐูุจุชุ ู ุฅูุง ููููุฑุฃูุง ุณุจุนูู ู ุฑุฉุ ู ุฃูุง ุงูุถุงู ู ูู ุงูุนุงููุฉ
Amaaly of Al-Shaykh โ by his chain, said:
โAl-Sadiq-asws said: โThe one who is seized by an illness, so he recites โAl-Hamdโ upon himself seven times (7), and if it goes away, or else he recites it seventy times (70), and I-asws would be a guarantor of the good health for himโ.[6]

From Ismail Bin Aban,
(It is) with an unbroken chain going up to the Prophet-saww, said, โRasool Allah-saww said to Jabir Bin Abdullah: โO Jabir! Shall I-saww teach you the most superior Chapter which Allah-azwj Revealed in His-azwj Book?โ Jabir said, โYes, may my father (be sacrificed for) you-saww as well as my mother, O Rasool Allah-saww, teach it to meโ.
ูุงู: ูุนูู ู ุงูุญู ุฏ ููู ุงู ุงููุชุงุจุ ูุงู: ุซู ูุงู ูู: ูุง ุฌุงุจุฑ ุงูุง ุงุฎุจุฑู ุนููุง ุ ูุงู: ุจูู ุจุงุจู ุงูุช ูุงู ู ูุงุฎุจุฑููุ ูุงู: ูู ุดูุงุก ู ู ูู ุฏุงุก ุงูุง ุงูุณุงู ูุนูู ุงูู ูุช
He (the narrator) said, โSo he-saww taught him Al-Hamd, Mother of the Book, then said: โO Jabir! Shall I-saww inform you about it?โ He said, โYes, may my father (be sacrificed for) you-saww as well as my mother, inform meโ. He-saww said: โIt is a healing from every illness except for the poison, meaning the deathโ.[7]

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Abu Umeyr, from Muawiya Bin Amaar,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah-asws having said: โIf Sura Al-Hamd is recited seventy times over a dead body, and then if the soul comes back into it that would not be a surpriseโ.[8]

And from him, from Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Muhammad Bin Ismail Bin Bazie, from Abdullah Bin Al Fazl, raising it,
He-asws said: โAl-Hamd (Chapter 1) would not be recited upon a pain seventy (70) times, except it would settleโโ.[9]

And from Ibn Masoud,
(It has been narrated) from the Prophet-saww having said: โThe one who recites In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1:1], Allah-azwj would Write for him four thousand good deeds for every letter, and Delete four thousand evil deeds from him, and Raise four thousand levels for himโโ.[10]

ู ูุงู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ) ูู ุญุฏูุซ ุขุฎุฑ: ยซูู ุดุฆุช ูุฃููุฑุช ุณุจุนูู ุจุนูุฑุง ูู ุชูุณูุฑ ูุงุชุญุฉ ุงููุชุงุจ
And he-asws (Amir-Al-Momineen-asws) said in another Hadeeth: โIf I-asws so desired to, I-asws would have loaded seventy camels, with the explanation of โOpening of the Bookโ (Surah Al-Fatiha)โ.[11]

From Muhammad Bin Sinan,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Al-Hassan Musa-asws Bin Jaโfar-asws, from his-asws father-asws having said to Abu Hanifa: โWhich is the Chapter whose beginning is Praise, and its middle is sincerity, and its ending is a supplication?โ So he remained in confusion, then said, โI do not knowโ. So Abu Abdullah-asws said; โThe Chapter whose beginning is Praise, and its middle is sincerity, and its ending is a supplication is Sura Al-Hamdโ.[12]

In Uyoon Al-Akhbaar โ It was Narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Al-Qasim the commentator Al-Astrabadiar who said: It has been narrated to us from Yusuf Bin Muhammad Bin Ziyad, and Ali Bin Muhammad Bin Sayaar, from their forefathers, who from:

Al-Hasan-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Musa-asws Bin Jaโfar-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws, as well as his father Ali-asws Bin Muhammadโasws, from his father Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-asws, from his father Ali-asws Bin Musa-asws Al-Reza-asws, from his father Musa-asws Bin Jaโfar-asws, from his-asws forefathers-asws, from the Amir-ul-Momineen-asws who said:
ูุงู ุฑุณูู ุงููู ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุงู ุงููู ุนุฒูุฌู: ูุณู ุช ูุงุชุญุฉ ุงููุชุงุจ ุจููู ูุจูู ุนุจุฏู ููุตููุง ูู ููุตููุง ูุนุจุฏูุ ููุนุจุฏู ู ุง ุณุฃู
โThe Rasool Allah-saww said that Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic Said: โI-azwj have Divided the โOpening of the Bookโ (Surah Al-Fatiha) between Myself-azwj and My-azwj servant. So half of it is for Me-azwj and half of it is for My-azwj servant, and for My-azwj servant is whatever he asks forโ.

When the servant says In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1:1], Allah-azwj Says: โMy-azwj servant has begun with My-azwj Name, and it is his right that I-azwj should Complete for him his affairs and Bless him in his situationsโ.
ูุฅุฐุง ูุงู: ุงูุญู ุฏ ููู ุฑุจ ุงูุนุงูู ูู ูุงู ุฌู ุฌูุงูู: ุญู ุฏูู ุนุจุฏู ูุนูู ุงู ุงููุนู ุงูุชู ูู ู ู ุนูุฏูุ ูุงู ุงูุจูุงูุง ุงูุชู ุฏูุนุช ุนูู ูุจุชุทููู ุงุดูุฏูู ุงูู ุงุถูู ูู ุฅูู ูุนู ุงูุฏููุง ูุนู ุงูุงุฎุฑุฉุ ูุงุฏูุน ุนูู ุจูุงูุง ุงูุงุฎุฑุฉ ูู ุง ุฏูุนุช ุนูู ุจูุงูุง ุงูุฏููุง
So when he says All Praise is for Allah the Lord of the Worlds [1:2], the Majestic Says: โMy-azwj servant has Praised me and he knows that the bounties which are with him are from Me-azwj, and the afflictions that have been dispelled from him are by Me-azwj. I-azwj Make you (Angels-as and Prophets-as) to be My-azwj witnesses that I-azwj will Increase his bounties of the world with the Bounties of the Hereafter, and will Dispel from him his afflictions of the Hereafter just like I-azwj have Dispelled from him his afflictions of the worldโ.
ูุฅุฐุง ูุงู: ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู ูุงู ุงููู ุฌู ุฌูุงูู: ุดูุฏูู ุนุจุฏู ุงูู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู ุ ุงุดูุฏูู ูุงููุฑู ู ู ุฑุญู ุชู ุญุธูุ ููุงุฌุฒูู ู ู ุนุทุงุฆู ูุตูุจู
And when he says The Beneficent, the Merciful [1:3], Allah-azwj Says: โMy-azwj servant has testified that I-azwj am the Beneficent, the Merciful. Be My-azwj witnesses that I-azwj will Grant him a share from My-azwj Mercy, and a prime portion of My-azwj Gifts to himโ.
ูุฅุฐุง ูุงู: ู ุงูู ููู ุงูุฏูู ูุงู ุงููู ุชุนุงูู: ุงุดูุฏูู ูู ุง ุงุนุชุฑู ุงูู ุงูุง ุงูู ูู ููู ุงูุฏูู ูุงุณููู ููู ุงูุญุณุงุจ ุญุณุงุจูุ ููุง ุชุฌุงูุฒู ุนู ุณูุฆุงุชู
When he says Master of the Day of Reckoning [1:4], Allah-azwj Says: โBe My-azwj witnesses (Angels-as and Prophets-as). Just as he has acknowledged the fact that I-azwj am the Master of the Reckoning, I-azwj will Make his Reckoning to be easy for him on the Day of Reckoning, and will Overlook his sinsโ.
ูุฅุฐุง ูุงู ุงูุนุจุฏ: ุงูุงู ูุนุจุฏ ูุงู ุงููู ุนุฒูุฌู: ุตุฏู ุนุจุฏูุ ุงูุงู ูุนุจุฏ ุงุดูุฏูู ูุงุซูุจูู ุนูู ุนุจุงุฏุชู ุซูุงุจุง ูุบุจุทู ูู ู ู ุฎุงููู ูู ุนุจุงุฏุชู ูู
When the servant says (It is) You we worship [1:5], Allah-azwj Says: โMy-azwj servant has spoken the truth that he has worshipped Me-azwj. Be My-azwj witnesses (Angels-as and Prophets-as) that I-azwj shall Grant him such Rewards for his worship that those who had opposed him in his worship to Me-azwj, would envy himโ.
ูุฅุฐุง ูุงู: ูุงูุงู ูุณุชุนูู ูุงู ุงููู ุชุนุงูู: ุจู ุงุณุชุนุงูุ ูุงูู ุงูุชุฌุฃุ ุงุดูุฏูู ูุงุนูููู ุนูู ุฃู ุฑูุ ููุงุบูุซูู ูู ุดุฏุงูุฏู ููุขุฎุฐู ุจูุฏู ููู ููุงุฆุจู
When he says And You do we seek Assistance (from) [1:5], Allah-azwj the Exalted Says: โHe has asked Me-azwj for Support to Me-azwj he has sought Refuge. Be My-azwj witnesses that I-azwj shall Aid him in his affairs, and will Rescue him from harsh conditions and will Hold his hand in days of his difficultiesโ.
ูุฅุฐุง ูุงู: ุงูุฏูุง ุงูุตุฑุงุท ุงูู ุณุชููู ุฅูู ุขุฎุฑ ุงูุณูุฑุฉ ูุงู ุงููู ุฌู ุฌูุงูู: ูุฐุง ุงูุนุจุฏู ููุนุจุฏู ู ุง ุณุฃูุ ููุฏ ุงุณุชุฌุจุช ูุนุจุฏู ูุฃุนุทูุชู ู ุง ุฃู ูุ ูุขู ูุชู ู ู ุงูุฌู ู ูู
When he says Guide us to be on the Straight Path [1:6] โ till the end of the Chapter, Allah-azwj Majestic is His-azwj Majesty Says: โThis is for My-azwj servant, and to him is what he asks for. I-azwj have Answered to My-azwj servant and Granted him what he wanted, and Protected him from what he fearedโ.[13]
ู ุฑูู ูู (ุงููููู) ููู ุง ุฐูุฑ ุงููุถู- ูุนูู ุงููุถู ุจู ุดุงุฐุงู- ู ู ุงูุนูู ุนู ุงูุฑุถุง (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ) ุฃูู ูุงู: ยซุฃู ุฑ ุงููุงุณ ุจุงููุฑุงุกุฉ ูู ุงูุตูุงุฉุ ูุฆูุง ูููู ุงููุฑุขู ู ูุฌูุฑุง ู ุถูุนุงุ ู ููููู ู ุญููุธุง ู ุฏุฑูุณุงุ ููุง ูุถู ุญู ู ูุง ูุฌูู. ู ุฅูู ุง ุจุฏุฃ ุจุงูุญู ุฏ ุฏูู ุณุงุฆุฑ ุงูุณูุฑุ ูุฃูู ููุณ ุดูโุก ู ู ุงููุฑุขู ู ุงูููุงู ุฌู ุน ููู ู ู ุฌูุงู ุน ุงูุฎูุฑ ู ุงูุญูู ุฉ ู ุง ุฌู ุน ูู ุณูุฑุฉ ุงูุญู ุฏุ ู ุฐูู ุฃู ูููู ุนุฒ ู ุฌู: ุงููุญูู ูุฏู ููููููู ูู ุฃุฏุงุก ูู ุง ุฃูุฌุจ ุงููู ุนุฒ ู ุฌู ุนูู ุฎููู ู ู ุงูุดูุฑุ ู ุงูุดูุฑ ูู ุง ููู ุนุจุฏู ู ู ุงูุฎูุฑ
And it has been reported in Al-Faqih regarding what has been mentioned by Al-Fazl, meaning Al-Fazl Bin Shazaan from Al-Illal, who has said:
โAl-Reza-asws said: โHe-azwj Commanded the people to recite in the Salat (Prayer), so that the Quran would not become abandoned and wasted, and that it should become preserved, learnt, so do not let it fade and do not be ignorant of it. But rather, begin with Al-Hamd instead of the rest of the Chapters, because there is nothing from the Quran and the Speech in which is gathered together the whole of the Good and the Wisdom, what has been Gathered in Surah Al-Hamd, and that is the Statement of the Mighty and Majestic: The Praise is for Allah [1:2] โ It is Calling to what Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic has Obligated upon His-azwj creatures from the appreciation. And the appreciation is what is in accordance with His-azwj servant from the goodness.
ุฑูุจูู ุงููุนุงููู ูููู ุชูุญูุฏ ู ุชู ุญูุฏ ููุ ู ุฅูุฑุงุฑ ุจุฃูู ุงูุฎุงูู ุงูู ุงูู ูุง ุบูุฑู. ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ุงุณุชุนุทุงูู ู ุฐูุฑ ุขูุงุฆู ู ูุนู ุงุฆู ุนูู ุฌู ูุน ุฎููู. ู ุงูููู ููููู ู ุงูุฏููููู ุฅูุฑุงุฑ ูู ุจุงูุจุนุซุ ู ุงูุญุณุงุจุ ู ุงูู ุฌุงุฒุงุฉุ ู ุฅูุฌุงุจ ู ูู ุงูุขุฎุฑุฉ ููุ ูุฅูุฌุงุจ ู ูู ุงูุฏููุง
Lord of the Worlds [1:2], is the Oneness and the Praise to Him-azwj, and the acceptance that He-azwj is most certainly the Creator, not someone else. The Beneficent, the Merciful [1:3], is the appealing to Him-azwj and remembering the Favours, and His-azwj Bounties upon all of Hisโazwj creatures. Master of the Day of Reckoning [1:4], is acceptance to Him-azwj of the Resurrection, and the Reckoning, and the Recompensing, and the affirmation that He-azwj is the King of the Hereafter, just as the affirmation that He-azwj is the King of the world.
ุฅููููุงูู ููุนูุจูุฏู ุฑุบุจุฉ ู ุชูุฑุจ ุฅูู ุงููู ุชุนุงูู ุฐูุฑูุ ู ุฅุฎูุงุต ูู ุจุงูุนู ู ุฏูู ุบูุฑู. ูู ุฅููููุงูู ููุณูุชูุนูููู ุงุณุชุฒุงุฏุฉ ู ู ุชูููููุ ู ุนุจุงุฏุชูุ ู ุงุณุชุฏุงู ุฉ ูู ุง ุฃูุนู ุนููู ู ูุตุฑู. ุงููุฏูููุง ุงูุตููุฑุงุทู ุงููู ูุณูุชููููู ู ุงุณุชุฑุดุงุฏ ูุฏูููุ ู ุงุนุชุตุงู ุจุญุจููุ ู ุงุณุชุฒุงุฏุฉ ูู ุงูู ุนุฑูุฉ ูุฑุจู ุนุฒ ู ุฌู ู ูุจุฑูุงุฆู ู ุนุธู ุชู
ย (It is) You we worship [1:5], is a wish to be closer to Allah-azwj, Elevated is His-azwj Mention, and of being sincere to Him-azwj with the deeds instead of someone else. And You do we seek Assistance (from) [1:5], is seeking more of His-azwj Guidance, and His-azwj worship, and for the continuation of what He-azwj has Favoured to him, and for His-azwj Help. Guide us to be on the Straight Path [1:6], is Guidance to His-azwj Religion, and holding to His-azwj Rope (His-azwj Divine Imams-asws), and the continuation to be with the recognition of his Lord-azwj Mighty and Majestic, and His-azwj Greatness and Magnificence.
ุตูุฑุงุทู ุงูููุฐูููู ุฃูููุนูู ูุชู ุนูููููููู ู ุชุฃููุฏ ูู ุงูุณุคู ู ุงูุฑุบุจุฉุ ู ุฐูุฑ ูู ุง ูุฏ ุชูุฏู ู ู ูุนู ู ุนูู ุฃูููุงุฆูุ ู ุฑุบุจุฉ ูู ู ุซู ุชูู ุงููุนู . ุบูููุฑู ุงููู ูุบูุถููุจู ุนูููููููู ู ุงุณุชุนุงุฐุฉ ู ู ุฃู ูููู ู ู ุงูู ุนุงูุฏูู ุงููุงูุฑููุ ุงูู ุณุชุฎููู ุจู ู ุจุฃู ุฑู ู ูููู. ูู ููุง ุงูุถููุงูููููู ุงุนุชุตุงู ู ู ุฃู ูููู ู ู ุงูุฐูู ุถููุง ุนู ุณุจููู ู ู ุบูุฑ ู ุนุฑูุฉุ ู ูู ูุญุณุจูู ุฃููู ูุญุณููู ุตูุนุง. ู ูุฏ ุงุฌุชู ุน ูููุง ู ู ุฌูุงู ุน ุงูุฎูุฑ ู ุงูุญูู ุฉุ ู ู ุฃู ุฑ ุงูุขุฎุฑุฉ ู ุงูุฏููุงุ ู ุง ูุง ูุฌู ุนู ุดูโุก ู ู ุงูุฃุดูุงุก
The path of those You have Bestowed Bounties upon [1:7], is the denial in the asking and the wishing, and (instead) remembering what has proceeded from His-azwj Bounties upon His-azwj Guardians, and wishing for the similar of those Bounties. other than of those You are Wrathful upon, is the seeking of Refuge from becoming one of the obstinate ones, the infidels, and the belittling of His-azwj Commands and His-azwj Prohibitions. nor of the straying ones, is not budging from becoming from the ones who have strayed from His-azwj Way, from other than the understanding, and they reckon that they are acting in a goodly manner. And there has been Gathered therein (Surah Al-Hamd) from the whole of the Good and the Wisdom, from the matters of the Hereafter and the world, what has not been Gathered in anything from the thingsโ.[14]

ูู ุชูุณูุฑ ุงูุนูุงุดู ุนู ูููุณ ุจู ุนุจุฏ ุงูุฑุญู ู ุนู ู ุฑูุนู ูุงู: ุณุฃูุช ุงุจุง ุนุจุฏ ุงููู ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ุนู ููู ุงููู โ ูููุฏ ุขุชููุงู ุณุจุนุง ู ู ุงูู ุซุงูู ูุงููุฑุขู ุงูุนุธูู โ ูุงู: ูู ุณูุฑุฉ ุงูุญู ุฏ ููู ุณุจุน ุขูุงุช ู ููุง: โ ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ ูุงูู ุง ุณู ูุช ุงูู ุซุงูู ูุงููุง ุชุซูู ูู ุงูุฑูุนุชูู
In Tafseer Ayyashi from Yunus Bin Abdul Rahman from the one with an unbroken chain who said:
โI asked Abu Abdullah-asws about the Words of Allah-azwj And We have Given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the Magnificent Quran [15:87], he-asws said: โIt is the Chapter of Al-Hamd and it contains seven Verses including In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1:1], and it is called โMasanyโ (double) because it is (recited) twice in the two cycles (of Prayer)โ.[15]

From Abu Bakr Al-Hazramy who said,
โAbu Abdullah-asws said: โWhenever you have a need, so recite โThe seven oft-repeated Versesโ (Al-Masany) and another Chapter, and Pray two cycles of Prayer, and supplicate to Allah-azwjโ. I said, โMay Allah-azwj Keep you-asws well, and what are โThe seven oft-repeated Verses?โ He-asws said: โThe Opening of the Book โ In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1:1]. The Praise is for Allah the Lord of the Worlds [1:2]ย (i.e., Chapter 1)โ.[16]

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Abu Salaam Al-Nahaas, from one of our companions,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Jaโfar-asws having said: โWe-asws are the double (Al-Masany) which Allah-azwj Gave to our-asws Prophet-saww, and we-asws are the Face of Allah-azwj. We-asws move in the earth in your full view, and we-asws are the Eyes of Allah-azwj among His-azwj creatures, and His-azwj Hand Extended with the Mercy upon His-azwj servants. The one who recognised us-asws has recognised us-asws, and the one who is ignorant of us-asws is ignorant of us-asws, and we-asws are the Imams-asws of the Piousโ.[17]
ุนู ุฃุจู ุจูุฑ ุงูุญุถุฑู ูุ ูุงู: ูุงู ุฃุจู ุนุจุฏุงููู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ): ยซุฅุฐุง ูุงูุช ูู ุญุงุฌุฉุ ูุงูุฑุฃ ุงูู ุซุงูู ู ุณูุฑุฉ ุฃุฎุฑูุ ูุตู ุฑูุนุชููุ ูุงุฏุน ุงูููยป. ููุช: ุฃุตูุญู ุงูููุ ู ู ุง ุงูู ุซุงููุ ูุงู: ยซูุงุชุญุฉ ุงููุชุงุจ ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ุงููุญูู ูุฏู ููููููู ุฑูุจูู ุงููุนุงููู ููููยป.
From Abu Bakr Al Hazramy who said,
โAbu Abdullah-asws said: โWhenever there was a need for you, so recite Al-Masaany, and another Chapter, and pray two Cycles Salat, and supplicate to Allah-azwjโ. I said, โMay Allah-azwj Keep you-asws well! And what is Al-Masaany?โ He-asws said: โThe Opening of the Book In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Mercifulโ [1:1].[18]

ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ย ย [1]
In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1:1]
ู ุนููุ ูุงู: ุญุฏุซูุง ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุฅุจุฑุงููู ุจู ุฅุณุญุงู ุงูุทุงููุงูู (ุฑุถู ุงููู ุนูู)ุ ูุงู: ุฃุฎุจุฑูุง ุฃุญู ุฏ ุจู ู ุญู ุฏ ุงุจู ุณุนูุฏ ู ููู ุจูู ูุงุดู ุ ุนู ุนูู ุจู ุงูุญุณู ุจู ูุถุงูุ ุนู ุฃุจูู
And from him who said, โIt was narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Ibrahim Bin Isโhaq Al Talaqany, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Ibn Saeed, a slave of the Clan of Hashim, from Ali Bin Al Husayn Bin Fazl, from his father who said,
ูุงู: ุณุฃูุช ุงูุฑุถุง ุนูู ุจู ู ูุณู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ) ุนู ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ููุงู: ยซู ุนูู ููู ุงููุงุฆู: ุจุณู ุงูููุ ุฃู: ุฃุณู ู ุนูู ููุณู ุณู ุฉ ู ู ุณู ุงุช ุงููู ุนุฒ ู ุฌู ู ูู ุงูุนุจุงุฏุฉยป. ูุงู: ูููุช ูู: ู ู ุง ุงูุณู ุฉุ ูุงู: ยซุงูุนูุงู ุฉ
โI asked Al-Reza Ali-asws Bin Musa-asws about โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ, so he-asws said: โThe meaning of โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ, โI name upon myself a Name from the Names of Allah-azwj Mighty and Majesticโ, and it is the worshipโ. So I said, โAnd what is the name?โ He-asws said: โ(Its) Symbolically (in it)โโ.[19]

From Abu Hamza,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Jaโfar-asws that: โThey have stolen the most prestigious Verse in the Book of Allah-azwj ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1:1] (by not reciting it in their Salats).[20]
ุนู ุนูุณู ุจู ุนุจุฏุงูููุ ุนู ุฃุจููุ ุนู ุฌุฏูุ ุนู ุนูู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู )ุ ูุงู: ุจูุบู ุฃู ุฃูุงุณุง ููุฒุนูู ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ูุ ููุงู: ยซูู ุขูุฉ ู ู ูุชุงุจ ุงูููุ ุฃูุณุงูู ุฅูุงูุง ุงูุดูุทุงู
From Isa Bin Abdullah, from his father, from his grandfather:
(It has been narrated) from Ali-asws having said: โIt reached him-asws that they had removed ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1:1], so he-asws said: โIt is a Verse from the Book of Allah-azwj, the Satan-la made them remove itโ.[21]
ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ูุญูู ุนู ุฃุญู ุฏ ุจู ู ุญู ุฏ ุนู ุนูู ุจู ู ูุฒูุงุฑ ุนู ูุญูู ุจู ุฃุจู ุนู ุฑุงู ุงููู ุฏุงูู ูุงู: ูุชุจุช ุฅูู ุฃุจู ุฌุนูุฑ ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ุฌุนูุช ูุฏุงู ู ุง ุชููู ูู ุฑุฌู ุงุจุชุฏุฃ ุจุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู ูู ุตููุชู ูุญุฏู ูู ุฃู ุงููุชุงุจ ููู ุง ุตุงุฑ ุฅูู ุบูุฑ ุงู ุงููุชุงุจ ู ู ุงูุณูุฑุฉ ุชุฑููุง ููุงู ุงูุนุจุงุณู: ููุณ ุจุฐูู ุจุฃุณ ุ ููุชุจ ุจุฎุทู ูุนูุฏูุง ู ุฑุชูู ุนูู ุฑุบู ุฃููู ูุนูู ุงูุนุจุงุณู
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Mahziyar, from Yahya Bin Abu Imran Al-Hamadani, who said:
โI wrote a letter to Abu Jaโfar-asws, โMay I be sacrificed for you-asws, what do you-asws say about a man who started with โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ ย in his Salat once in the Mother of the Book (Surah Al-Fatiha), but when he recites a Chapter other than the Mother of the Book, he ignored it? Al-Abbasi said that there is no harm in itโ. He-asws wrote back in his-asws own writing, โRecite it twice even if it grinds the nose of Al-Abbasside (as a snub)โ.[22]
ู ูู ุงูุญุฏูุซ ุนู ู ููู ุงูุฃู ุฉ ู ุฅู ุงู ูุง ุฃู ูุฑ ุงูู ุคู ููู ุนูู ุจู ุฃุจู ุทุงูุจ (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ) ุฃู ุนุจุฏุงููู ุจู ุนุจุงุณ ุฌุงุกู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ) ูุณุฃูู ุนู ุชูุณูุฑ ุงููุฑุขูุ ููุนุฏู ุจุงููููุ ููู ุง ุญุถุฑ ูุงู: ยซู ุง ุฃูู ุงููุฑุขูุยป. ูุงู: ุงููุงุชุญุฉ. ูุงู: ยซู ู ุง ุฃูู ุงููุงุชุญุฉุยป ูุงู: ุจุณู ุงููู. ูุงู: ยซู ู ุง ุฃูู ุจุณู ุงูููุยป. ูุงู: ุจุณู . ูุงู: ยซู ู ุง ุฃูู ุจุณู ุยป. ูุงู: ุงูุจุงุกุ ูุฌุนู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ) ูุชููู ูู ุงูุจุงุก ุทูู ุงููููุ ููู ุง ูุฑุจ ุงููุฌุฑ ูุงู: ูู ุฒุงุฏูุง ุงูููู ูุฒุฏูุง
And in the Hadeeth, from Master-asws of the community and its Imam-asws Amir-Al-Momineen Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws that: โAbdullah Bin Abbas came to him-asws asking him-asws about interpretation of the Quran. So he-asws gave him an appointment at night. So when he came, he said, โWhat is the first (start) of the Quran?โ He-asws said: โAl-Fatihaโ. He said, โAnd what is the start of Al-Fatiha?โ He-asws said: โBismillahโ (In the Name of Allah-azwj)โ. He said, โAnd what is the start of Bismillah?โ He-asws said: โBismโ (In the Name). He said, โAnd what is the start of โBismโ?โ He-asws said: โThe โBaโ. And he-asws went on to speak about the โBaโ for most of the night. When it was near to the dawn, he-asws said: โHad the night increased for us, I-asws would increase more (of this explanation)โ.[23]

Al-Tehzeeb โ Muhammad Bin Al-Hassan Al-Tusi, by his chain from Muhammad Bin Ali Bin Mahboub, from Al-Abbas, from Muhammad Bin Abu Umeyr, from Abu Ayoub, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said:
โI asked Abu Abdullah-asws about the Seven Oft-repeated Verses (Sabโa Al-Masany), โAre these Al-Fatiha (Chapter 1)?โ He-asws said: โYesโ. I said, โIn the Name of Allah-azwj the Beneficent, the Mercifulโ is from the seven (Verses)?โ He-asws said: โYes, it is the best of themโ.[24]
ุนู ุฎุงูุฏ ุจู ุงูู ุฎุชุงุฑุ ูุงู: ุณู ุนุช ุฌุนูุฑ ุจู ู ุญู ุฏ (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ) ูููู: ยซู ุง ููู - ูุงุชููู ุงููู- ุนู ุฏูุง ุฅูู ุฃุนุธู ุขูุฉ ูู ูุชุงุจ ุงูููุ ูุฒุนู ูุง ุฃููุง ุจุฏุนุฉ ุฅุฐุง ุฃุธูุฑููุงุ ู ูู ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู
From Khalid Bin Al Mukhtar who said,
โI heard Jaโfar-asws Bin Muhammad-asws saying: โWhat is the matter with them? May Allah-azwj Fight them! They are deliberating to the most magnificent Verse in the Book of Allah-azwj, and they are claiming that it is an innovation when they are manifesting it, and it is ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู (In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1:1])โ.[25]
ูู ููุงูู ุงููุญูุณููู [ุจููู ุนูููููโ] ุน: ููุงูู ุฃูู ููุฑู ุงููู ูุคูู ูููููู ุนโ ูู ุฅูููโ ยซุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ูยป ุขููุฉู ู ููู ููุงุชูุญูุฉู ุงููููุชูุงุจูุ ูู ูููู ุณูุจูุนู ุขููุงุชู ุชูู ูุงู ูููุง ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ูโ
And Al-Hassan-asws Bin Ali-asws said that Amir-Al-Momineen-asws said: โThe Verse ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ( In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1:1] ) is one of the Verses of the โOpening of the Bookโ which consists of seven Verses, including this one.
[ููุงููโ]: ุณูู ูุนูุชู ุฑูุณูููู ุงูููููู ุต ููููููู: ุฅูููู ุงูููููู ุนูุฒูู ูู ุฌูููู ููุงูู ููู: ููุง ู ูุญูู ููุฏู ยซูู ููููุฏู ุขุชููููุงูู ุณูุจูุนุงู ู ููู ุงููู ูุซุงููู ูู ุงููููุฑูุขูู ุงููุนูุธููู ูยป ููุฃูููุฑูุฏู ุงููุงู ูุชูููุงูู [ุนูููููโ] ุจูููุงุชูุญูุฉู ุงููููุชูุงุจูุ ูู ุฌูุนูููููุง ุจูุฅูุฒูุงุกู ุงููููุฑูุขูู ุงููุนูุธููู ู ูู ุฅูููู ููุงุชูุญูุฉู ุงููููุชูุงุจู ุฃูุดูุฑูููโ ู ูุง ููู ูููููุฒู ุงููุนูุฑูุดู
I have heard Rasool-Allah-saww say: โAllah-azwj Said to me, โO Muhammad-saww And We have Given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the Magnificent Quran [15:87]. Allah-azwj Referred to it separately in the Opening of the Book and Made it special to the Magnificent Quran and this Opening of the Book is from the treasures of the Throne.โ

Allah-azwj Bestowed a special Favour on Muhammad-saww with it and did not let anyone else from the Prophets have a share in it except for Prophet Sulayman-as as He-azwj Gave him-as ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ูยป ย ( In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1:1]) from this. Do you not see when he-as wrote to Bilquis and she said, She said: O you Chiefs! An honourable letter has been delivered to me ย [27:29] It is from Sulayman, and it is in the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful? [27:30]
ุฃูููุง ููู ููู ููุฑูุฃูููุง ู ูุนูุชูููุฏุงู ููู ูููุงูุงุฉู ู ูุญูู ููุฏู ูู ุขูููู ุงูุทูููููุจููููุ ู ูููููุงุฏุงู ููุฃูู ูุฑูููู ูุ ู ูุคูู ููุงู ุจูุธูุงููุฑูููู ู ูู ุจูุงุทูููููู ูุ ุฃูุนูุทูุงูู ุงูููููู ุนูุฒูู ูู ุฌูููู ุจูููููู ุญูุฑููู ู ูููููุง ุญูุณูููุฉูุ ููููู ุญูุณูููุฉู ู ูููููุง ุฃูููุถููู ูููู ู ููู ุงูุฏููููููุง ูู ู ูุง ูููููุง- ู ููู ุฃูุตูููุงูู ุฃูู ูููุงููููุง ูู ุฎูููุฑูุงุชูููุง
Indeed! So, the one who recites this and believes in the Wilayah of Muhammad-saww and his-saww Pure Progeny-asws, and believes in their manifest and hidden matters, then Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic will Give him a Reward for every letter of it, each of which will be better than this world and whatever is in it from the varieties of its wealth and (all of) its goodness.
ูู ู ููู ุงุณูุชูู ูุนู ููุงุฑูุฆุงู ููููุฑูุคูููุง- ููุงูู ูููู ููุฏูุฑู ุซูููุซู ู ูุง ููููููุงุฑูุฆูุ ููููููุณูุชูููุซูุฑู ุฃูุญูุฏูููู ู ู ููู ููุฐูุง ุงููุฎูููุฑู ุงููู ูุนูุฑูุถู ููููู ูุ ููุฅูููููู ุบููููู ูุฉู ููุง ููุฐูููุจูููู ุฃูููุงููููุ ููุชูุจูููู ููู ูููููุจูููู ู ุงููุญูุณูุฑูุฉู
And the one who listens intently to a reciter reciting it, would have for him a third of what is for the reciter. Therefore, let each one of you attain a good deal from this goodness shown to you, for it is a booty the season of which will not be passing away, in case regret remains in your heart (of noting benefiting from its recitations).โ[26]
ู ูุงู ุงููุจู (ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ู ุขูู): ยซุฅุฐุง ู ุฑ ุงูู ุคู ู ุนูู ุงูุตุฑุงุทุ ููููู: ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ุฃุทูุฆ ููุจ ุงููุงุฑุ ู ุชููู: ุฌุฒ- ูุง ู ุคู ู- ูุฅู ููุฑู ูุฏ ุฃุทูุฃ ููุจู
And the Prophet-saww said: โWhen a Momin would pass upon the Bridge (Al-Siraat), he would be saying, ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โIn the Name of Allah-azwj, the Beneficent, the Mercifulโ, it would extinguish a flame of the Fire, and it would say: โHurry, O Momin, for your radiance is extinguishing my flamesโ.[27]
ู ูุงู ุงููุจู (ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ู ุขูู): ยซุฅุฐุง ูุงู ุงูู ุนูู ููุตุจู: [ูู:] ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู [ููุงู ุงูุตุจู: ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ูโ] ูุชุจ ุงููู ุจุฑุงุกุฉ ููุตุจูุ ู ุจุฑุงุกุฉ ูุฃุจูููุ ู ุจุฑุงุกุฉ ููู ุนูู [ู ู ุงููุงุฑ]
And the Prophet-saww said: โWhen the teacher says to the young boy, โSay, ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ, so the young boy says, ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ, Allah-azwj Decrees remoteness from the Fire for the young boy, and remoteness for his father, and remoteness for the teacher (from the Fire of Hell)โ.[28]
ุงูุฒู ุฎุดุฑู ูู (ุฑุจูุน ุงูุฃุจุฑุงุฑ): ุนู ุงููุจู (ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ู ุขูู): ยซูุง ูุฑุฏ ุฏุนุงุก ุฃููู ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ูุฅู ุฃู ุชู ูุฃุชูู ููู ุงูููุงู ุฉุ ู ูู ูููููู: ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ูุชุซูู ุญุณูุงุชูู ูู ุงูู ูุฒุงูุ ูุชููู ุงูุฃู ู : ู ุง ุฃุฑุฌุญ ู ูุงุฒูู ุฃู ุฉ ู ุญู ุฏ (ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ู ุขูู)! ููููู ุงูุฃูุจูุงุก: ุฅู ุงุจุชุฏุงุก ููุงู ูู ุซูุงุซุฉ ุฃุณู ุงุก ู ู ุฃุณู ุงุก ุงููู ุชุนุงููุ ูู ูุถุนุช ูู ููุฉ ุงูู ูุฒุงูุ ู ูุถุนุช ุณูุฆุงุช ุงูุฎูู ูู ููุฉ ุฃุฎุฑูุ ูุฑุฌุญุช ุญุณูุงุชูู
Al-Zamakshary in โRabโi Al-Abraarโ,
(It has been narrated) from the Prophet-saww: โDonโt leave out calling at its beginning โ ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู , for my-saww community would be coming on the Day of Judgement, and they would be saying: ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู so their deeds would become heavier upon the Scale. The (other) communities would be saying, โWhat outweighed the Scale of the community of Muhammad-saww?โ The Prophets-as would be saying: โThey initiated their speech with three Names from the Names of Allah-azwj. If these were to be placed upon one hand of the Scale, and the sins of (all) of the creatures were to be placed upon the other hand, their deeds would outweigh their (sins)โ.[29]
(ุฌุงู ุน ุงูุฃุฎุจุงุฑ): ุนู ุงุจู ู ุณุนูุฏุ ุนู ุงููุจู (ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ู ุขูู): ยซู ู ุฃุฑุงุฏ ุฃู ููุฌูู ุงููู ู ู ุงูุฒุจุงููุฉ ุงูุชุณุนุฉ ุนุดุฑุ ููููุฑุฃ ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ูุฅููุง ุชุณุนุฉ ุนุดุฑ ุญุฑูุงุ ููุฌุนู ุงููู ูู ุญุฑู ู ููุง ุนู ูุงุญุฏ ู ููู
Jamโi Al-Akhbaar โ From Ibn Masโoud,
(It has been narrated) from the Prophet-saww: โThe one who wants that Allah-azwj should Rescue him from the nineteen Angels of Hell (Al-Zabaniyya), so he should recite โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ, for it has nineteen letters. Allah-azwj would Make each letter from it against one of themโ.[30]
ุนู ุฃุจู ุญู ุฒุฉุ ุนู ุฃุจู ุฌุนูุฑ (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู )ุ ูุงู: ยซูุงู ุฑุณูู ุงููู (ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ู ุขูู) ูุฌูุฑ ุจ ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ูโ ู ูุฑูุน ุตูุชู ุจูุงุ ูุฅุฐุง ุณู ุน ุงูู ุดุฑููู ูููุง ู ุฏุจุฑููุ ูุฃูุฒู ุงููู: ูู ุฅูุฐุง ุฐูููุฑูุชู ุฑูุจูููู ููู ุงููููุฑูุขูู ููุญูุฏููู ูููููููุง ุนููู ุฃูุฏูุจุงุฑูููู ู ูููููุฑุงู
From Abu Hamza,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Jaโfar-asws having said: โRasool Allah-saww would recite loudly ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู and raise his-saww voice with it. Whenever the Polytheists heard it, they would turn back. So Allah-azwj Revealed: โand when you mention your Lord alone in the Quran they turn their backs in aversionโ [17:46].[31]
ุนูู: ุจุฅุณูุงุฏู ุนู ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุงูุญุณููุ ุนู ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุญู ุงุฏ ุจู ุฒูุฏ ุ ุนู ุนุจุฏุงููู ุจู ูุญูู ุงููุงูููุ ุนู ุฃุจู ุนุจุฏุงููู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู )ุ ูุงู: ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ุฃูุฑุจ ุฅูู ุงุณู ุงููู ุงูุฃุนุธู ู ู ูุงุธุฑ ุงูุนูู ุฅูู ุจูุงุถูุง
From him, by his chain, from Muhammad Bin Al-Husayn, from Muhammad Bin Hamaad Bin Zayd, from Abdullah Bin Yahya Al-Kahily, (who has narrated):
โAbu Abdullah-asws has said: ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู is closer to the Most Magnificent Name of Allah-azwj (Al-Ism Al-Aโazam) than the vision of the eye is to its whiteness (very close)โ.[32]
ููู ูุชุงุจ ุงูุชูุญูุฏ ุจุงุณูุงุฏู ุฅูู ุตููุงู ุจู ูุญูู ุนู ู ุญุฏุซู ุนู ุงุจู ุนุจุฏ ุงููู ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ุงูู ุณุฆู ุนู ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู ุ ููุงู: ุงูุจุงุก ุจูุงุก ุงููู ูุงูุณูู ุณูุงุก ุงููู ูุงูู ูู ู ูู ุงููู
And in the book of Tawheed by its chain to Al-Safwan Bin Yahya from the one who narrated it to him:
(It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah-asws where he questioned about In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1:1], โHe-asws said: โThe โBaโ is for Bahaullah (Beauty of Allah-azwj) and the โSeenโ is for Sanaullah (The Splendour of Allah-azwj) and the โMeemโ is for Mulkullah (The Kingdom of Allah-azwj)โ.
ูุงู: ููุช ุงููู ุ ูุงู: ุงูุงูู ุขูุงุก ุงููู ุนูู ุฎููู ู ู ุงููุนูู ุจููุงูุชูุงุ ุงููุงู ุงูุฒุงู ุงููู ุฎููู ููุงูุชูุง
He (the narrator) said, โI said, โ(What about) โAllah?โ He-asws said: โThe โAlifโ stands for the Favours (ุขูุงุก) of Allah-azwj to His-azwj creatures which He-azwj has Graced by our-asws Wilayah; and โLaamโ is (ุงูุฒุงู ) Necessitation by Allah-azwj our-asws Wilayah upon His-azwj creatures โ.
ููุชุ ูุงููุงุก ุ ูุงู: ูู ุงู ูู ู ุฎุงูู ู ุญู ุฏุง ูุขู ู ุญู ุฏ ุตููุงุช ุงููู ุนูููู ุ ููุช: ุงูุฑุญู ูุ ูุงู ุจุฌู ูุน ุงูุนุงูู ููุช: ุงูุฑุญูู ุ ูุงู: ุจุงูู ุคู ููู ุฎุงุตุฉ
I said: โ(What about) โLah?โ He-asws said: โIt is for the one who opposes Muhammad-saww and the Progeny-asws of Muhammad-sawwโ. I said: โุงูุฑููุญูู ููโ?โ He-asws said: โTo the whole worldโ. I said: โุงูุฑููุญููู ูโ?โ He-asws said: โTo the Momineen in particularโ.[33]
ุนู ุตููุงู ุงูุฌู ุงู ูุงู: ูุงู ุฃุจู ุนุจุฏ ุงููู ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู : ู ุง ุฃูุฒู ุงููู ู ู ุงูุณู ุงุก ูุชุงุจุง ุงูุง ููุงุชุญุชู ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู ุ ูุงูู ุง ูุงู ูุนุฑู ุงููุถุงุก ุงูุณูุฑุฉ ุจูุฒูู ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู ุงุจุชุฏุงุก ููุงุฎุฑู
From Safwan Al-Jamal who said, โAbu Abdullah-asws said: โAllah-azwj has not Sent down from the sky a Book but it has opened with ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู , but rather, it was understood upon the ending of the Chapter by the Revelation of ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู and the start of another oneโ.[34]
ุนุฏุฉ ู ู ุฃุตุญุงุจูุง ุนู ุณูู ุจู ุฒูุงุฏุฉ ุนู ุงุฏุฑูุณ ุงูุญุงุฑุซู ุนู ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุณูุงู ุนู ู ูุถู ุจู ุนู ุฑ ูุงู: ูุงู ุฃุจู ุนุจุฏ ุงููู ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู : ุงุญุชุฌุจูุง ู ู ุงููุงุณ ูููู ุจุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู ูุจูู ูู ุงููู ุฃุญุฏุ ุงูุฑุฃูุง ุนู ูู ููู ูุนู ุดู ุงูู ูู ู ุจูู ูุฏูู ูู ู ุฎููู ูู ู ูููู ูู ู ุชุญุชูุ ูุฅุฐุง ุฏุฎูุช ุนูู ุณูุทุงู ุฌุงุฆุฑ ูุงูุฑุฃูุง ุญูู ุชูุธุฑ ุฅููู ุซูุงุซ ู ุฑุงุชุ ูุงุนูุฏ ุจูุฏู ุงููุณุฑู ุซู ูุง ุชูุงุฑููุง ุญุชู ุชุฎุฑุฌ ู ู ุนูุฏู
A number of our companions from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Idrees Al-Harisy, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from MufazzAl-Bin Umar who said:
Abu Abdullah-asws said: โProtect yourselves from all the people by ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู and by Say He Allah is Oneโ[112:1]. Recite these on your right and on your left and on your front and on your back and above your (head) and below (on your feet). And if you have to go to an unjust authority (Sultan), then recite these three times when you see him, and close your left fist, then do not open it until you come out from his presenceโ.[35]
ูููู ุนู ุงูุตุงุฏู ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ุญุฏูุซ ุทููู ููููุ ููุฑุจู ุง ุชุฑู ุจุนุถ ุดูุนุชูุง ูู ุงูุชุชุงุญ ุฃู ุฑู ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู ููู ุชุญูู ุงููู ุนุฒูุฌู ุจู ูุฑูู ูููุจูู ุนูู ุดูุฑ ุงููู ุชุจุงุฑู ูุชุนุงูู ูุงูุซูุงุก ุนูููุ ููู ุญู ุนูู ูุตู ุฉ ุชูุตูุฑู ุนูุฏ ุชุฑูู ููู ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู
And in it from Al-Sadiq-asws, a lengthy Hadeeth and in it is: โPerhaps some of our Shiites would ignore the recitation of ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู at the start of an affair, Allah-azwj the Mighty the Majestic would Test him so that he would thank Allah-azwj Blessed and High, and Praise Him-azwj, and that would destroy the stigma of his negligence in the recitation of ย โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ.[36]
ูู ู ูุฌ ุงูุฏุนูุงุช ุจุงุณูุงุฏูุง ุฅูู ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุงูุญุณู ุงูุตูุงุฑ ู ู ูุชุงุจ ูุถู ุงูุฏุนุงุก ุจุงุณูุงุฏู ุฅูู ู ุนุงููุฉ ุจู ุนู ุงุฑ ุนู ุงูุตุงุฏู ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ุงูู ูุงู: ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู ุงุณู ุงููู ุงูุงูุจุฑ โ ุฃู ูุงู: ุงูุงุนุธู
In Mahj Al-Dawaat by our chain going up to Muhammad Bin Al-Hassan Al-Saffar from Kitab Fazl Al-Doโa by its chain to Muawiya Bin Amaar, who has said:
(Imam) Al-Sadiq-asws said: โIn the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1:1]โ is the Great Name of Allah-azwjโ, or he-asws said โthe Magnificentโโ.[37]
ู ุนููุ ูุงู: ุญุฏุซูุง ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุงููุงุณู ุงูุฌุฑุฌุงูู ุงูู ูุณุฑ (ุฑุญู ู ุงููู)ุ ูุงู: ุญุฏุซูุง ุฃุจู ูุนููุจ ููุณู ุจู ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุฒูุงุฏุ ู ุฃุจู ุงูุญุณู ุนูู ุจู ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุณูุงุฑุ ู ูุงูุง ู ู ุงูุดูุนุฉ ุงูุฅู ุงู ูุฉุ ุนู ุฃุจูููู ุง
And from him who said, โIt was narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Al Qasim Al Jarjany Al Mufassir, from Abu Yaqoub Yusuf Bin Muhammad Bin Ziyad, and Abu Al Hassan Ali Bin Muhammad Bin Sayyar, and he was from the Imamiya Shias, from their fathers,
ุนู ุงูุญุณู ุจู ุนูู ุจู ู ุญู ุฏ (ุนูููู ุงูุณูุงู ) ูู ููู ุงููู ุนุฒ ู ุฌู: ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ูุ ููุงู: ยซูู ุงููู ุงูุฐู ูุชุฃููย ุฅููู ุนูุฏ ุงูุญูุงุฆุฌ ู ุงูุดุฏุงุฆุฏ ูู ู ุฎูููุ ุนูุฏ ุงููุทุงุน ุงูุฑุฌุงุก ุนู ูู ู ู ูู ุฏูููุ ู ุชูุทุน ุงูุฃุณุจุงุจ ู ู ุฌู ูุน ู ู ุณูุงูุ ุชููู: ุจุณู ุงูููุ ุฃู ุงุณุชุนูู ุนูู ุฃู ูุฑู ูููุง ุจุงูููุ ุงูุฐู ูุง ุชุญู ุงูุนุจุงุฏุฉ ุฅูุง ููุ ู ุงูู ุบูุซ ุฅุฐุง ุงุณุชุบูุซุ ู ุงูู ุฌูุจ ุฅุฐุง ุฏุนู
From Al-Hassan-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Muhammad-asws regarding the Words of Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู . So he-asws said: โHe-azwj is Allah-azwj to Whom it is resorted to during the need and difficulties by every creature, during the cutting-off of hopes from everyone who is besides Him-azwj, and the reasons are cut off from the entirety of the ones besides Him-azwj, you are (then) saying, โIn the Name of Allah-azwjโ. That is, โI am Assisted upon my affairs, all of them, by Allah-azwj, Who, no one is rightful of the worship except for Him-azwj, and the Helper when He-azwj is Cried to for help, and the Answerer when supplicated to.

And it is what a man said to Al-Sadiq-asws, O son-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww! Point me to Allah-azwj, what is He-azwj, for the debaters are numerous against me and they are confusing me?โ He-asws said to him: โO servant of Allah-azwj! Have you every sailed a ship at all?โ He said, โYesโ. He-asws said: โHas it ever broken with you where there is no (other) ship to save you, nor could the swimming (to the shore) suffice you?โ He said, โYesโ.
ูุงู ุงูุตุงุฏู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ): ููู ุชุนูู ููุจู ููุงูู ุฃู ุดูุฆุง ู ู ุงูุฃุดูุงุก ูุงุฏุฑ ุนูู ุฃู ูุฎูุตู ู ู ูุฑุทุชูุ ูุงู: ูุนู . ูุงู ุงูุตุงุฏู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ): ูุฐูู ุงูุดูโุก ูู ุงูููุ ุงููุงุฏุฑ ุนูู ุงูุฅูุฌุงุก ุญูุซ ูุง ู ูุฌูุ ู ุนูู ุงูุฅุบุงุซุฉ ุญูุซ ูุง ู ุบูุซ
He-asws said: โSo did your heart attach over there, that there is something from the things which has the ability upon finishing you from your predicament?โ He said, โYesโ. Al-Sadiq-asws said: โSo that thing, He-azwj is Allah-azwj, the One Able upon the rescuing when there is no Rescuer, and upon the helping when there is no helperโ.
ุซู ูุงู ุงูุตุงุฏู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ): ู ูุฑุจู ุง ุชุฑู ุจุนุถ ุดูุนุชูุง ูู ุงูุชุชุงุญ ุฃู ุฑู ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ููู ุชุญูู ุงููู ุนุฒ ู ุฌู ุจู ูุฑููุ ูููุจูู ุนูู ุดูุฑ ุงููู ุชุจุงุฑู ู ุชุนุงูู ู ุงูุซูุงุก ุนูููุ ู ูู ุญู ุนูู ูุตู ุฉย ุชูุตูุฑูุ ุนูุฏ ุชุฑูู ููู: ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู
Then Al-Sadiq-asws said: โAnd sometimes one of our-asws Shias neglects during the beginning of his affair (saying) ุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู , so Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic Tests him with an abhorrence in order to alert him upon the thanking Allah-azwj Blessed and High and the Laudation upon Him-azwj, and delete from him the stigma of his shortcoming during his neglect of the words โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ.
ูุงู: ู ูุงู ุฑุฌู ุฅูู ุนูู ุจู ุงูุญุณูู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ) ููุงู: ุฃุฎุจุฑูู ู ุง ู ุนูู ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ูุ ููุงู ุนูู ุจู ุงูุญุณูู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ): ุญุฏุซูู ุฃุจูุ ุนู ุฃุฎูู ุงูุญุณูุ ุนู ุฃุจูู ุฃู ูุฑ ุงูู ุคู ููู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ): ุฃู ุฑุฌูุง ูุงู ุฅูููุ ููุงู: ูุง ุฃู ูุฑ ุงูู ุคู ูููุ ุฃุฎุจุฑูู ุนู ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ู ุง ู ุนูุงูุ ููุงู: ุฅู ูููู: ุงูููุ ุฃุนุธู ุงุณู ู ู ุฃุณู ุงุก ุงููู ุนุฒ ู ุฌูุ ู ูู ุงูุงุณู ุงูุฐู ูุง ููุจุบู ุฃู ูุณู ู ุจู ุบูุฑ ุงูููุ ู ูู ูุชุณู ุจู ู ุฎููู
He-asws said: โAnd a man stood up to Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws and he said, โInform me, what is the meaning of โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ ?โ So, Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws said: โMy-asws father-asws narrated to me-asws, from his-asws brother Al-Hassan-asws, from his-asws father Amir Al-Momineen-asws that a man stood up to him-asws and he said, โO Amir Al-Momineen-asws! Inform me about โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ, what is its meaning?โ He-asws said: โYour word, โAllahโ, is the most Magnificent Name from the Names of Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic, and it is the Name which is not befitting that any other than Allah-azwj should be named with, and a creature cannot be named with itโ.
ููุงู ุงูุฑุฌู: ูู ุง ุชูุณูุฑ ููู ุงูููุ ูุงู: ูู ุงูุฐู ูุชุฃูู ุฅููู ุนูุฏ ุงูุญูุงุฆุฌ ู ุงูุดุฏุงุฆุฏ ูู ู ุฎูููุ ุนูุฏ ุงููุทุงุน ุงูุฑุฌุงุก ู ู ุฌู ูุน ู ู [ูู] ุฏูููุ ู ุชูุทุน ุงูุฃุณุจุงุจ ู ู ูู ู ุง ุณูุงูุ ู ุฐูู [ุฃูโ] ูู ู ุชุฑุฆุณ ูู ูุฐู ุงูุฏููุงุ ู ู ุชุนุธู ูููุงุ ู ุฅู ุนุธู ุบูุงู ู ุทุบูุงููุ ู ูุซุฑุช ุญูุงุฆุฌ ู ู ุฏููู ุฅููู
The man said, โSo what is the interpretation of the word โAllahโ?โ He-asws said: โHe-azwj the One who is restored to during the needs and the difficulties by every creature, during the cutting-off of the hopes from the entirety of the ones who are besides Him-azwj, and the reasons are cut off from everyone who is other than Him-azwj, and that is because every presider in this world and the one who is magnified therein, his riches are great and (so is) his tyranny, and the needs of the ones to him get broken.
ูุฅููู ุณูุญุชุงุฌูู ุญูุงุฆุฌ [ูุง ููุฏุฑ ุนูููุง ูุฐุง ุงูู ุชุนุงุธู ุ ู ูุฐูู ูุฐุง ุงูู ุชุนุงุธู ูุญุชุงุฌ ุญูุงุฆุฌโ] ูุง ููุฏุฑ ุนูููุงุ ููููุทุน ุฅูู ุงููู ุนูุฏ ุถุฑูุฑุชู ู ูุงูุชูุ ุญุชู ุฅุฐุง ููู ูู ูุ ุนุงุฏ ุฅูู ุดุฑูู
Thus, they are placing their needs to this presider who has no ability upon it. And similar to that, this presider (himself) is needy of the needs, not having ability over it. So he cuts-off to Allah-azwj (from the others) during his necessity and his destitution until when his worries are suffice with, he return to thanking Him-azwj.
ุฃู ุง ุชุณู ุน ุงููู ุนุฒ ู ุฌู ูููู: ูููู ุฃู ุฑูุฃูููุชูููู ู ุฅููู ุฃูุชุงููู ู ุนูุฐุงุจู ุงูููููู ุฃููู ุฃูุชูุชูููู ู ุงูุณููุงุนูุฉู ุฃู ุบูููุฑู ุงูููููู ุชูุฏูุนูููู ุฅููู ููููุชูู ู ุตุงุฏูููููู ุจููู ุฅููููุงูู ุชูุฏูุนูููู ููููููุดููู ู ุง ุชูุฏูุนูููู ุฅููููููู ุฅููู ุดุงุกู ูู ุชูููุณููููู ู ุง ุชูุดูุฑูููููู
But, have you not heard Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic Saying Say: Tell me if the Punishment of Allah should Seize you or the Hour should come upon you, will you call (on others) besides Allah, if you are truthful [6:40] But, (to) Him you should call upon, so He Removes that for which you pray if He so Desires and you forget what you set up (with Him) [6:41].
ููุงู ุงููู ุฌู ู ุนุฒ ูุนุจุงุฏู: ุฃููุง ุงูููุฑุงุก ุฅูู ุฑุญู ุชูุ ุฅูู ูุฏ ุฃูุฒู ุชูู ุงูุญุงุฌุฉ ุฅูู ูู ูู ุญุงูุ ู ุฐูุฉ ุงูุนุจูุฏูุฉ ูู ูู ููุชุ ูุฅูู ูุงูุฒุนูุง ูู ูู ุฃู ุฑ ุชุฃุฎุฐูู ู ุชุฑุฌูู ุชู ุงู ู ู ุจููุบ ุบุงูุชูุ ูุฅูู ุฅู ุฃุฑุฏุช ุฃู ุฃุนุทููู ุ ูู ููุฏุฑ ุบูุฑู ุนูู ู ูุนูู ุ ู ุฅู ุฃุฑุฏุช ุฃู ุฃู ูุนูู ุ ูู ููุฏุฑ ุบูุฑู ุนูู ุฅุนุทุงุฆูู ุ ูุฃูุง ุฃุญู ู ู ูุณุฃูุ ู ุฃููู ู ู ุชุถุฑุน ุฅููู
Allah-azwj Majestic and Mighty Said to His-azwj servants: โO you who crave for My-azwj Mercy! I-azwj have Necessitated the need to Me-azwj during every state, and the humiliation of the slavery during every time. Therefore, to Me-azwj you should be panicking regarding every matter you are taking to and wishing for its completion and reaching its end. So I-azwj, If I-azwj so Intend to, I-azwj shall Give you. There is no one who is able upon preventing you apart from Me-azwj. And if I-azwj Intend to Prevent (from) you, there is no one able upon giving you apart from Me-azwj. Thus, I-azwj am the most rightful One to be asked, and the foremost of the One to be invocated toโ.
ูููููุง ุนูุฏ ุงูุชุชุงุญ ูู ุฃู ุฑ ุตุบูุฑ ุฃู ุนุธูู ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ุฃู: ุงุณุชุนูู ุนูู ูุฐุง ุงูุฃู ุฑุ ุงูุฐู ูุง ุชุญู ุงูุนุจุงุฏุฉ ูุบูุฑูุ ุฅูุง ููุ ุงูู ุฌูุจ ุฅุฐุง ุฏุนูุ ุงูู ุบูุซ ุฅุฐุง ุงุณุชุบูุซุ ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฐู ูุฑุญู ูุจุณุท ุงูุฑุฒู ุนูููุงุ ุงูุฑุญูู ุจูุง ูู ุฃุฏูุงููุงุ ู ุฏููุงูุงุ ู ุขุฎุฑุชูุงุ ุฎูู ุนูููุง ุงูุฏููุ ู ุฌุนูู ุณููุง ุฎูููุงุ ู ูู ูุฑุญู ูุง ุจุชู ููุฒูุง ู ู ุฃุนุฏุงุฆู
Therefore, you should be saying at the beginning of every matter, little or large, โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ โ i.e., I seek assistance upon this matter of the One-azwj Who, there is none who is rightful of the worship except for Him-azwj, the Answerer when He-azwj is supplicated to, the Helper when He-azwj is cried for help to, the Beneficent Who has been Merciful by extending the sustenance upon us, the Merciful with us in our Religion and our world, and our Hereafter, Lightened the Religion upon us, and Made it to be easy, light, and He-azwj has been Merciful to us by Distinguished us from His-azwj enemies.
ุซู ูุงู: ยซูุงู ุฑุณูู ุงููู (ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ู ุขูู): ู ู ุญุฒูู ุฃู ุฑ ุชุนุงุทุงู ููุงู: ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ู ูู ู ุฎูุต ูููุ ู ููุจู ุจููุจู ุฅูููุ ูู ูููู ู ู ุฅุญุฏู ุงุซูุชูู: ุฅู ุง ุจููุบ ุญุงุฌุชู ูู ุงูุฏููุงุ ู ุฅู ุง ูุนุฏ ูู ุนูุฏ ุฑุจู ู ูุฏุฎุฑ ููุ ู ู ุง ุนูุฏ ุงููู ุฎูุฑ ู ุฃุจูู ููู ุคู ููู
Then he-asws said: โRasool-Allah-saww said: โThe one whom the matter of his transaction grieves him, so he says โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ, and he is sincere to Allah-azwj, and he turns to Him-azwj with his heart, would not be detached from one of the two โ either the accomplishment of his need in the world, or it would be counted for him in the Presence of his Lord-azwj and hoarded for him (in the Hereafter); and whatever is in the Presence of Allah-azwj is better and more lasting for the Momineenโโ.[38]
ููุฏ ุฏุฎู ุนุจุฏุงููู ุจู ูุญูู ุนูู ุฃู ูุฑ ุงูู ุคู ููู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู )ุ ู ุจูู ูุฏูู ูุฑุณูุ ูุฃู ุฑู ุจุงูุฌููุณ ุนูููุ ูุฌูุณ ุนูููุ ูู ุงู ุจู ุญุชู ุณูุท ุนูู ุฑุฃุณูุ ูุฃูุถุญ ุนู ุนุธู ุฑุฃุณูุ ู ุณุงู ุงูุฏู ุ ูุฃู ุฑ ุฃู ูุฑ ุงูู ุคู ููู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ) ุจู ุงุกุ ูุบุณู ุนูู ุฐูู ุงูุฏู . ุซู ูุงู: ุงุฏู ู ููุ [ูุฏูุง ู ููโ] ููุถุน ูุฏู ุนูู ู ูุถุญุชูุ ู ูุฏ ูุงู ูุฌุฏ ู ู ุฃูู ูุง ู ุง ูุง ุตุจุฑ ูู ู ุนูุ ู ู ุณุญ ูุฏู ุนูููุง ู ุชูู ูููุงุ ุญุชู ุงูุฏู ู ู ุตุงุฑ ูุฃูู ูู ูุตุจู ุดูโุก ูุท
Abdullah Bin Yahya had come over to Amir Al-Momineen-asws, and in front of him-asws was a chair. So he-asws instructed him to be seated upon it. He sat upon it, and it inclined with him until he fell upon his head, and it exposed a bone from his head, and the blood flowed. So Amir Al-Momineen-asws ordered for the water and what that blood off from him, then said: โCome near me-aswsโ. So he went closer, and he-asws placed his-asws hand upon his injury โ and he had found such pain what he could not be patient upon โ and he-asws wiped his-asws hand upon it and applied spittle in it, until it healed and came to be as if nothing had hit him at all.
ู ูุงู ุฃู ูุฑ ุงูู ุคู ููู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ): ูุง ุนุจุฏุงูููุ ุงูุญู ุฏ ููู ุงูุฐู ุฌุนู ุชู ุญูุต ุฐููุจ ุดูุนุชูุง ูู ุงูุฏููุง ุจู ุญููู ุ ูุชุณูู ููู ุทุงุนุงุชูู ุ ู ูุณุชุญููุง ุนูููุง ุซูุงุจูุง
And Amir Al-Momineen-asws said: โO Abdullah! The Praise is for Allah-azwj Who Made a scrutiny of the sins of our-asws Shias in the world with their ordeals, it order to safeguard their obedience and they would be deserving of its Rewards upon itโ.
ููุงู ุนุจุฏุงููู ุจู ูุญูู: ูุง ุฃู ูุฑ ุงูู ุคู ูููุ ู ุฅูุง ูุง ูุฌุงุฒู ุจุฐููุจูุง ุฅูุง ูู ุงูุฏููุงุ ูุงู: ูุนู ุ ุฃู ุง ุณู ุนุช ููู ุฑุณูู ุงููู (ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ู ุขูู): ุงูุฏููุง ุณุฌู ุงูู ุคู ูุ ู ุฌูุฉ ุงููุงูุฑ. ุฅู ุงููู ุชุนุงูู ุทูุฑ ุดูุนุชูุง ู ู ุฐููุจูู ูู ุงูุฏููุง ุจู ุง ูุจุชูููู ุจู ู ู ุงูู ุญูุ ู ุจู ุง ูุบูุฑู ููู ุ ูุฅู ุงููู ุชุนุงูู ูููู: ูู ู ุง ุฃูุตุงุจูููู ู ู ููู ู ูุตููุจูุฉู ููุจูู ุง ููุณูุจูุชู ุฃูููุฏููููู ู ูู ููุนููููุง ุนููู ููุซููุฑู ุญุชู ุฅุฐุง ูุฑุฏูุง ููู ุงูููุงู ุฉุ ุชููุฑุช ุนูููู ุทุงุนุงุชูู ู ุนุจุงุฏุงุชูู
So Abdullah Bin Yahya said, โO Amir Al-Momineen-asws! And we would not be chastised for our sins except in the world?โ He-asws said: โYes. Have you not heard the words of Rasool-Allah-saww: โThe world is a prison for the Momin and a garden for the disbeliever?โ Allah-azwj the Exalted Cleans our-asws Shias from their sins in the world with what He-azwj Afflicts them with, from the adversities, and by what (sins) He-azwj Forgives for them, as Allah-azwj the Exalted is Saying And whatever affliction befalls you, it is on account of what your hands have wrought, and (yet) He Pardons most (of your faults) [42:30], until when they return on the Day of Judgment, (the Rewards of) their obedient acts and their worship would be made available to them.
ู ุฅู ุฃุนุฏุงุกูุง ูุฌุงุฒููู ุนู ุทุงุนุฉ ุชููู ูู ุงูุฏููุง ู ููู - ู ุฅู ูุงู ูุง ูุฒู ููุงุ ูุฃูู ูุง ุฅุฎูุงุต ู ุนูุง- ุญุชู ุฅุฐุง ูุงููุง ุงูููุงู ุฉุ ุญู ูุช ุนูููู ุฐููุจูู ุ ู ุจุบุถูู ูู ุญู ุฏ ู ุขูู (ุตููุงุช ุงููู ุนูููู ุฃุฌู ุนูู) ู ุฎูุงุฑ ุฃุตุญุงุจูุ ููุฐููุง ูู ุงููุงุฑ
And (as for) our-asws enemies, they would be Recompensed of the obedient acts which happen from them in the world โ and even if there was no weight to it, because there would not be sincerity with it โ until when they come on the (Day of) Judgment, their sins would be loaded upon them, and (as well as) their hatred for Muhammad-saww and his-saww Progeny-asws, and the good ones of his-saww companions, so they would be flung into the Fireโ.
ููุงู ุนุจุฏุงููู ุจู ูุญูู: ูุง ุฃู ูุฑ ุงูู ุคู ูููุ ูุฏ ุฃูุฏุชูู ู ุนูู ุชููุ ูุฅู ุฑุฃูุช ุฃู ุชุนุฑููู ุฐูุจู ุงูุฐู ุงู ุชุญูุช ุจู ูู ูุฐุง ุงูู ุฌูุณุ ุญุชู ูุง ุฃุนูุฏ ุฅูู ู ุซููุ ููุงู: ุชุฑูู ุญูู ุฌูุณุช ุฃู ุชููู: ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ูุฌุนู ุงููู ุฐูู ูุณููู ุนู ุง ูุฏุจุช ุฅููู ุชู ุญูุตุง ุจู ุง ุฃุตุงุจูุ ุฃู ุง ุนูู ุช ุฃู ุฑุณูู ุงููู (ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ู ุขูู) ุญุฏุซููุ ุนู ุงููู ุนุฒ ู ุฌู ุฃูู ูุงู: ูู ุฃู ุฑ ุฐู ุจุงู ูู ูุฐูุฑ ููู ุงุณู ุงูููุ ููู ุฃุจุชุฑุ
Abdullah Bin Yahya said, โO Amir Al-Momineen-asws! You-asws have benefited me and taught me. So, if you-asws see fit if you-asws could introduce me to my sin which I was Tested with in this sitting, until I do not repeat to the likes of it?โ He-asws said: โYou neglected, when you sat down, that you should be saying โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ, so Allah-azwj Made that, for your forgetfulness from what you lamented to Him-azwj, as a of what hit you. But, do you not know that Rasool-Allah-saww narrated to me-asws from Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic that He-azwj Said: โEvery matter of significance in which the Name of Allah-azwj is no mentioned, so it would be cut off (unaccomplished)?โ
ูููุช: ุจูู- ุจุฃุจู ุฃูุช ู ุฃู ู- ูุง ุฃุชุฑููุง ุจุนุฏูุง. ูุงู: ุฅุฐู ุชุญุธู ู ุชุณุนุฏ
I said, โYes, by my father and my mother (being sacrificed for) you-asws โ I will not neglect it after (this)โ. He-asws said: โThen you would be fortified and happyโ.
ูุงู ุนุจุฏุงููู ุจู ูุญูู: ูุง ุฃู ูุฑ ุงูู ุคู ูููุ ู ุง ุชูุณูุฑ ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ูุ ูุงู: ุฅู ุงูุนุจุฏ ุฅุฐุง ุฃุฑุงุฏ ุฃู ููุฑุฃุ ุฃู ูุนู ู ุนู ูุงุ ููููู: ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ุฃู ุจูุฐุง ุงูุงุณู ุฃุนู ู ูุฐุง ุงูุนู ูุ ููู ุนู ู ูุนู ููุ ูุจุฏุฃ ููู ุจ ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ูุฅูู ู ุจุงุฑู ูู ููู
Abdullah Bin Yahya said, โO Amir Al-Momineen-asws! What is the interpretation of โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ?โ He-asws said: โThe servant, when he wants to recite, or do a deed, so he is saying, โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ, i.e. โIt is by this Name I am doing this deedโ, so every deed he does beginning with โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ, so there would be Blessings for him in itโ.[39]
ู ุฑูู ุนู ุงููุจู (ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ู ุขูู) ูุงู: ยซู ู ูุฑุฃ ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู ุจูู ุงููู ูู ูู ุงูุฌูุฉ ุณุจุนูู ุฃูู ูุตุฑ ู ู ูุงููุชุฉ ุญู ุฑุงุกุ ูู ูู ูุตุฑ ุณุจุนูู ุฃูู ุจูุช ู ู ูุคูุคุฉ ุจูุถุงุกุ ูู ูู ุจูุช ุณุจุนูู ุฃูู ุณุฑูุฑ ู ู ุฒุจุฑุฌุฏุฉ ุฎุถุฑุงุกุ ููู ูู ุณุฑูุฑ ุณุจุนูู ุฃูู ูุฑุงุด ู ู ุณูุฏุณ ู ุฅุณุชุจุฑูุ ู ุนููู ุฒูุฌุฉ ู ู ุญูุฑ ุงูุนููุ ู ููุง ุณุจุนูู ุฃูู ุฐุคุงุจุฉุ ู ูููุฉ ุจุงูุฏุฑ ู ุงููุงููุช
And it has been reported from the Prophet-saww having said: โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โโ, Allah-azwj would Build for him in the Paradise seventy thousand castles of red rubies. In each castle would be seventy thousand houses of white pearls. In each house would be seventy thousand beds of green emeralds. On top of each of the beds would be mattresses of silk and brocade upon which would be a wife from the beautiful Houries, and she would have seventy thousand locks of hair crowned with coral and rubies.

It will be written on her (Houries) right cheek, โู ุญู ุฏ ุฑุณูู ุงูููโ (Muhammad-saww the Rasool-saww of Allah-azwj), and upon her left cheek, โุนูู ููู ุงูููโ (Ali-asws the Guardian from Allah-azwj), and upon her forehead, โุงูุญุณูโ (Al-Hassan-asws), and upon her chin, โุงูุญุณููโ (Al-Husayn-asws), and upon her lips, โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ. I said, โO Rasool-saww of Allah-azwj! For whom would be this Prestige?โ He-saww said: โFor the one who says, โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ with sanctity and venerationโ.[40]

Al-Hassan Bin Khazad said, โIt is reported from Abu Abdullah-asws having said: โWhen the man leads the people in Salat, Satan-la comes to one who is the closest to the prayer leader and he-la saying, โDid he mention Allah-azwj?โ โ meaning, โDid he recite โุจุณู ุงููู ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงูุฑุญูู โ?โ So if he says, โYesโ, he-la flees from him. But if he says, โNoโ, he-la mounts upon the neck of the prayer leader and dangles his-la legs on his chest. So the Satan-la does not cease to be the prayer leader of the people until they are free from their Salatโโ. [41]

By its chain up to Amir-ul-Momineen-asws who-asws when asked: โWhat is the benefit of the letters of the Alphabet?โ So Ali-asws said: โThere is no letter from the letters (of the Arabic Alphabet) but it is a Name from the Names of Allah-azwj the Mighty the Majesticโ.[42]

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Al-Nazar Bin Suweyd, from Hisham Bin Al-Hakam, who says:
โI asked Abu Abdullah-asws about the Names of Allah-azwj and their Derivatives, โFrom what has โAllahโ been derived from?โ He-asws said to me: โO Hisham! โAllahโ has been derived from โIlahโ and โAlaahโ which necessitates a worshipper and the Name is not the same as the Named. So, the one who worships the Name without the Meaning, so he has blasphemed and has not worshipped anything. And the one who worships the Name and the Meaning, so he has blasphemed as he has worshipped two. And the one who has worshipped the Meaning without the Name, so that is the Oneness (Al-Tawheed). Do you understand, O Hisham?โ I said, โIncrease it for meโ.

He-asws said: โAllah-azwj has ninety nine Names. Had every Name been (the same as) the Named, then every one of them would be a god, but Allah-azwj is Evidenced by these Names, and all of these are other than Him-azwj. O Hisham! The โBreadโ is a name of a food and the โWaterโ is the name of a drink, and the โClothโ is a name of the garment, and the โFireโ is a name of the incinerators. Do you understand, O Hisham with an understanding by which you can defend against, and struggle against our-asws enemies, and those that take someone else along with Allah-azwj?โ I said, โYesโ. He-asws said: โMay Allah-azwj benefit you by it and Keep you to be steadfast, O Hishamโ.
ูุงู ูุดุงู ููุงููู ู ุง ููุฑูู ุฃุญุฏ ูู ุงูุชูุญูุฏ ุญุชู ูู ุช ู ูุงู ู ูุฐุง
Hisham said, โBy Allah-azwj! No one was able to defeat me regarding Oneness (Al-Tawheed) until he were to stand in this place of mine (reach to my level of understanding)โ.[43]

The Praise is for Allah the Lord of the Worlds [1:2]
ูู ู ุฌู ุน ุงูุจูุงู ููุงู ุฑุณูู ุงููู ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณูู : ุงู ุงููู ุชุนุงูู ู ู ุนูู ุจูุงุชุญุฉ ุงููุชุงุจ ุฅูู ูููู: โ ุงูุญู ุฏููู ุฑุจ ุงูุนุงูู ูู โ ุฏุนูู ุฃูู ุงูุฌูุฉ ุญูู ุดูุฑูุง ุงููู ุญุณู ุงูุซูุงุจ
โAnd Rasool-Allah-saww said: โAllah-azwj the Exalted, Favoured upon me-saww with the โOpening of the Bookโ (Chapter 1) up to his Words The Praise is for Allah the Lord of the worlds [1:2] โ This is the call of the people of Paradise in their appreciation to Allah-azwj for the beautiful Rewardsโโ.[44]

Abu Abdullah-asws having said: โThe one who recites [1:2] โุงููุญูู ูุฏู ููููู ุฑูุจูู ุงููุนูุงููู ููููโ four times every morning, has given his thanks for his day, and one who says it in the evening has given his thanks for his nightโ.[45]

Muhammad Bin Yaqoub, from a number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from one of our companions, from Muhammad Bin Hisham, from Maysar,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah-asws having said: โAppreciation of the Bounties is to keep away from the Prohibitions, and completion of appreciation is the words of the man, The Praise is for Allah the Lord of the worldsโ [1:2].[46]

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from one of his companions who said,
โA man sneezed in the presence of Abu Jaโfar-asws and said: โThe Praise is for Allah-azwj!โ So when he was silent, Abu Jaโfar-asws said: โHe has been deficient in our-asws rightsโ. The he-asws said: โWhenever one of you sneezes, he should immediately say [1:2] โุงููุญูู ูุฏู ููููู ุฑูุจูู ุงููุนูุงููู ููููโ The Praise is for Allah the Lord of the worlds, and Salutations of Allah-azwj be upon Muhammad-saww and the People-asws his-saww Household-aswsโ (Salawat). He (the narrator) said, โThe man said that Abu Jaโfar-asws made him hear itโ.[47]

In Al-Kafi โ Ali from his father, from Abdullah Bin Mugheira, from Jameel,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah-asws having said: โIf you were to be behind the prayer leader, so when recites Al-Hamd, and when he is free from recitation of Al-Hamd, you should say [1:2] โุงููุญูู ูุฏู ููููู ุฑูุจูู ุงููุนูุงููู ููููโ, but do not say โAmeenโ.[48]

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Muhammad Bin Abu Umeyr, from Al-Nazar Bin Suweyd, from Abu Baseer, who has narrated:
โFrom Abu Abdullah-asws regarding His-azwj Words: The Praise is for Allah [1:2]. He-asws said: โThe appreciation to Allah-azwjโ. And regarding His-azwj Words: the Lord of the Worlds, he-asws said: โCreator of the creatures.โ The Beneficent [1:3] โ with all of the creatures and The Merciful โ with the Momineen in particularโ.

Master of the Day of Reckoning [1:4], he-asws said: โThe Day of Reckoning, and the evidence upon that are His-azwj Words: And they shall say: O woe unto us! This is the Day of the Religion [37:20], meaning the Day of the Reckoning. (It is) You we worship [1:5], he-asws said: โAddressing Allah-azwj Mighty and Majesticโ, And You do we seek Assistance (from), similarlyโ. Guide us to be on the Straight Pathโ [1:5], he-asws said: โThe โุงูุทุฑููโ and โู ุนุฑูุฉโ โ the path and the recognition of the Imam-aswsโ.[49]

The Imam-asws said: โA person came to Al-Reza-asws and said: โO son-asws of the Rasool-Allah-saww, inform me about the Words of Allah-azwj [1:2] โุงููุญูู
ูุฏู ููููู ุฑูุจูู ุงููุนูุงููู
ููููโ, what is its explanation?โ He-asws said: โMy father-asws narrated to me-asws from my forefathers-asws Al-Baqir-asws from Zayn-ul-Abideen-asws that a person came to Amir-ul-Momineen-asws and said: โInform me about the Words of Allah-azwj

ููููโโ, what is its interpretation?โ
ููููุงูู: ยซุงููุญูู ูุฏู ูููููููยป ูููู ุฃููู ุนูุฑูููู ุงูููููู ุนูุจูุงุฏููู ุจูุนูุถู ููุนูู ููู ุนูููููููู ู ุฌูู ูููุงุ ุฅูุฐู ููุง ููููุฏูุฑูููู ุนูููู ู ูุนูุฑูููุฉู ุฌูู ููุนูููุง ุจูุงูุชููููุตููููุ ููุฃููููููุง ุฃูููุซูุฑู ู ููู ุฃููู ุชูุญูุตูู ุฃููู ุชูุนูุฑููู
He-asws said: โThe Praise is for Allahโ โ it is the recognition by him of some of Allah-azwjโs Bounties to him, in summary, as he does not have the ability to recognise all of them in detail, because they are too numerous to list or recogniseโ.

He-asws said to them: โSay the Words The Praise is for Allah [1:2] for the Bounties that have been Bestowed.โ The Lord of the worlds includes the communities of all creatures from the vegetation and animals. As for the animals, He-azwj has placed in their hearts ability to fend for themselves and also all about for their betterment.

And as for the vegetation, He-azwj Maintains it by His-azwj Power, and Maintains it, and Holds the sky so that it does not fall down on the earth except by His-azwj Permission, and the earth does not collapse except by His-azwj Command, He-azwj is Gracious and Merciful to His-azwj servants.โ

He-asws said: โAnd โุฑูุจูู ุงููุนูุงููู ููููโ means that He-azwj is their Master and their Creator and gives them sustenance from whether they know whether they know not. Sustenance has been categorised, and He-azwj gives to the son of Adam-as equally regardless of which way he adopts. The pious does not get more due to his piety nor does the mischief maker get less due to his mischief. Between him and his sustenance that he strives for there is a veil. If any of you do not go and seek his sustenance, then sustenance will seek him out like death seeks him out.

Amir-ul-Momineen-asws said: โAllah-azwj Said to them, โBe saying The Praise is for Allah [1:2] for the Bounties that have been given to you, and We-azwj have Mentioned it with it the good in the Former Books beforehand. So in this is an obligation to Muhammad-saww and his-saww Progeny-asws that they-asws been Favoured with to be above all others and their-asws Shias, that they should be thankful with what they have been Favoured by being above all others except for them-asws.โ[50]

And it is reported that a man called Abdul Rahman was a teacher for the children in Al-Medina, and he taught a son of Al-Husayn-asws, called Jaโfar. So he taught him The Praise is for Allah the Lord of the worlds [1:2]. So when he recited it to his father Al-Husayn-asws, he-asws called the teacher over and gave him a thousand Dinar and a thousand garments and filled his mouth with gems. It was said to him-asws, โ(All this) regarding that?โ So he-asws said: โAnd did I-asws even equalise my-asws gift to this one for his teaching my-asws son The Praise is for Allah the Lord of the worlds!โ [1:2].[51]

The Beneficent, the Merciful [1:3].
ูู ู ุฌู ุน ุงูุจูุงู ูุฑูู ุฃุจู ุณุนูุฏ ุงูุฎุฏุฑู ุนู ุงููุจู ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ุงู ุนูุณู ุจู ู ุฑูู ูุงู: ุงูุฑุญู ู ุฑุญู ู ุงูุฏููุงุ ูุงูุฑุญูู ุฑุญูู ุงูุงุฎุฑุฉ
In Majma Ul Bayan and the narrator Abu Saeed Al-Khudhry,
(It has been narrated) from the Holy Prophet-saww: โIsa-as Bin Maryam-as said: โThe Beneficent is Beneficent in the world, and The Merciful is Merciful in the Hereafterโ [1:3].[52]

In the commentary of Ali Bin Ibrahim In Al-Mowthiq,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah-asws who-asws said after the explanation of The Praise is for Allah the Lord of the worlds [1:2]: โThe Beneficent to all of His-azwj creation, The Merciful to the Believers in particular. Master of the Day of Reckoning โ[1:4] โ Day of Reckoningโ.[53]
ูุฑูู ุนู ุงูุตุงุฏู ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ุงูู ูุงู: ุงูุฑุญู ู ุงุณู ุฎุงุต ุจุตูุฉ ุนุงู ุฉ ูุงูุฑุญูู ุงุณู ุนุงู ุจุตูุฉ ุฎุงุตุฉ
And it has been narrated from Al-Sadiq-asws: โThe Beneficent is a special Name with general Characteristics, and the Merciful is a general Name with special Characteristicsโ.[54]
ูู ููุฌ ุงูุจูุงุบุฉ: ุฑุญูู ูุง ููุตู ุจุงูุฑูุฉ
In Nahj-ul-Balagah: โMerciful, Whose Mercy is indescribableโ.[55]

In the book Al-Ahliyaljat, Al-Sadiq-asws said: โVerily the mercy which is referred to us-asws, from that is pathos and generosity, and the Mercy of Allah-azwj is His-azwj Reward to His-azwj creation. And, the mercy of the servants is when one of the two things happens. One of this is the clemency and tenderness he feels in his heart when he sees someone in adversity and need and struck by affliction. And another, when he is told about a deceased and he feels compassion and kindness to him and the speakers would say, โLook at the mercy of that personโ. And he wanted to act based upon the tenderness in his heart for that person, and it is more with Allah-azwj the Mighty and Majestic than what happens with us from this thing, for Allah-azwj is far from having an organ, like the description of Himself, for He-azwj is Merciful, and His-azwj Mercy is not a creationโ.[56]

The Imam (Hassan Al-Askari-asws) said: โThe Beneficent โ He-azwj Gives sustenance to His-azwj creation which never gets cut off even if they cut off their obedience to Him-azwj. The Merciful โ With the Momineen servants. He-azwj makes their obedience easy for them, and for the disbelieving servants, approves their supplications with Kindness.โ

He-asws said: โAmir-Al-Momineen-asws said: โThe Beneficent โ He-azwj Gives sustenance to His-azwj creation. It is His-azwj Mercy that when a child does not yet have the strength to run around and acquire its sustenance, He-azwj Gives that strength to his mother so that she can look after the child. And if the mother does not look after the child then it becomes more than obligatory for the rest of the Momineen to look after the child. Some animals have not been given this instinct to look after their young ones and so they start looking for their own sustenance very shortly after birth.

He-asws said in the explanation of โุงูุฑุญู ูโ The Beneficent: โThe Word โBeneficentโ has been derived from the Mercy. I heard the Rasool Allah-saww saying: Allah-azwj Said: โI-azwj am โThe Beneficentโ and it is derived from the Mercy, a Name from My-azwj Names. Whoever connects to it I-azwj shall be Connected to him, and whoever cuts himself from it then I-azwj shall cut him off from My-azwj Mercy.โ

Then Ali-asws said: โDo you know what this Mercy is that whoever connects to it is connected to the Beneficent?โ They said: โO Amir-Al-Momineen-asws! โEvery community has been urged by this to honour their relatives and maintain good relations with them.โ

Imam-asws said to them: โHave any of them obligated to maintain good relations with the disbelievers, and respect the ones whom He-azwj Has Belittled, and Enjoined the contempt of the disbelievers?โ They said: โNo, but we have been urged to have good relations with the Momineen.โ He-asws said: โHas He-azwj not has Enjoined this due to their connection with their fathers and mothers?โ They said: Yes, O brother-asws of the Messenger-saww of Allah-azwj.โ He-asws said: โUnderstand then, that by doing this they are making up the rights of their mothers and fathers.โ

They said: โYes O brother-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww.โ He-asws said: โTheir fathers and mothers provide them with sustenance in this world and prevent them from the abhorrent and this is a declining bounty while the Rasool-Allah-saww gave them everlasting bounties and saved them from eternal difficulties, so which is a greater bounty?โย The bounty of the Rasool-Allah-saww is greater and larger.โ
ููุงูู: ูููููููู ููุฌููุฒู ุฃููู ููุญูุซูู ุนูููู ููุถูุงุกู ุญูููู- ู ููู ุตูุบููุฑู [ุงููููููโ] ุญููููููุ ูู ููุง ููุญูุซูู ุนูููู ููุถูุงุกู ุญูููู ู ููู ููุจููุฑู [ุงููููููโ] ุญูููููู ููููุชู: ููุง ููุฌููุฒู ุฐููููู. ููุงูู: ููุฅูุฐุงู ุญูููู ุฑูุณูููู ุงูููููู ุต ุฃูุนูุธูู ู ู ููู ุญูููู ุงููููุงููุฏูููููุ ูู ุญูููู ุฑูุญูู ููู ุฃูููุถุงู ุฃูุนูุธูู ู ู ููู ุญูููู ุฑูุญูู ูููู ูุงุ ููุฑูุญูู ู ุฑูุณูููู ุงูููููู ุตโ ุฃูููููู ุจูุงูุตููููุฉูุ ูู ุฃูุนูุธูู ู ููู ุงููููุทููุนูุฉู
He-asws said: โHow can it be that He-azwj should Urge the fulfilment of a smaller right and does not Urge the fulfilment of a greater right? That is not possible. The right of the Rasool Allah-saww is greater that the right of the parents and the right of his-saww relatives also is greater than the right of their own relatives. So, the maintenance of relations with the relatives of the Rasool Allah-saww is greater and more highly prohibited to be cut off.

So woe upon woe be on the one who cuts it off, and woe upon woe be on the one does not respect his-saww relatives. Do you not know that the sanctity of the relatives of the Rasool Allah-saww is the sanctity of the Rasool Allah-saww and that the sanctity of the Rasool Allah-saww is the sanctity of Allah-azwj? Surely, Allah-azwjโs Right is greater than all, even from all the Bounties of His-azwj, and every bounty apart from it. But rather, He-azwj Chooses where it is destined to be for He-azwj is itโs Lord-azwj, and that Bounty is compatible with him.โ

Do you not know what Allah-azwj Said to Musa-as Bin Imran-as?โ I said, โMay my father and mother be sacrificed for you-asws, what was it that He-azwj Said to him-as?โ He-asws said: โAllah-azwj the High Said: โO Musa-as! Do you know what has reached to you-as of My-azwj Mercy?โ Musa-as said: โYou-azwj are more Merciful to me-as than my father and mother.โ

Allah-azwj the High Said: โO Musa-as! But rather, the mercy of your mother to you-as was a Grace of My-azwj Mercy, and it was I-azwj Who inclined her towards you-as, and Refined her heart to avoid her rest for your upbringing, and if I-azwj had not Done that with her, then she would have been to you like any other woman.โ[57]

Then Amir-Al-Momineen-asws said: The Mercy which Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic has Derived with His Mercy in His-azwj Words โI am The Beneficentโ โ This is for the relatives of Muhammad-saww, and whoever considers Allah-azwj to be Great has considered Muhammad-saww to be so, and whoever magnified Muhammad-saww has magnified relatives of Muhammad-saww, and that all Believing men and Believing women from our-asws Shias are from the relatives of Muhammad-saww and respecting them is to respect Muhammad-saww.
ููุงูููููููู ููู ููู ุงุณูุชูุฎูููู ุจูุดูููโุกู ู ููู ุญูุฑูู ูุฉู ู ูุญูู ููุฏู ุตุ ูู ุทููุจูู ููู ููู ุนูุธููู ู ุญูุฑูู ูุชูููุ ูู ุฃูููุฑูู ู ุฑูุญูู ููู ูู ููุตูููููุง
So, woe be upon the one who belittles anything from the sanctity of Muhammad-saww, and good news is for the one who respects his-saww sanctity, and honours his-saww relatives, and maintains good relations with them.โ[58]
ููุงูู ุงููุฅูู ูุงู ู ุนโ ูู ุฃูู ููุง ูููููููู ุชูุนูุงูููโ ยซุงูุฑููุญููู ูยป (ููุฅูููู ุฃูู ููุฑู ุงููู ูุคูู ูููููู ุน ููุงูู:) ุฑูุญููู ู ุจูุนูุจูุงุฏููู ุงููู ูุคูู ููููููุ ูู ู ููู ุฑูุญูู ูุชููู ุฃูููููู ุฎููููู ู ูุงุฆูุฉู ุฑูุญูู ูุฉูุ ูู ุฌูุนููู ู ูููููุง ุฑูุญูู ูุฉู ููุงุญูุฏูุฉู ููู ุงููุฎููููู ูููููููู ูุ ููุจูููุง ููุชูุฑูุงุญูู ู ุงููููุงุณูุ ูู ุชูุฑูุญููู ู ุงููููุงููุฏูุฉู ููููุฏูููุงุ ูู ุชูุญูููู ุงููุฃูู ููููุงุชู ู ููู ุงููุญูููููุงููุงุชู ุนูููู ุฃูููููุงุฏูููุง
The Imam-asws said: โAnd as for the Words of Allah-azwj The Merciful โ Amir-Al-Momineen-asws said: โHe-azwj is Merciful to His-azwj Momin servants. And from His-azwj Mercy He-azwj Created a hundred Mercies and He-azwj Allocated one of it to all of the creatures, and from that people are merciful towards each other, and the mother is merciful to her child, and the mothers of the animals are merciful to their young ones.โ
ููุฅูุฐูุง ููุงูู ููููู ู ุงููููููุงู ูุฉู ุฃูุถูุงูู ููุฐููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ูุฉู [ุงููููุงุญูุฏูุฉู] ุฅูููู ุชูุณูุนู ูู ุชูุณูุนูููู ุฑูุญูู ูุฉู ููููุฑูุญูู ู ุจูููุง ุฃูู ููุฉู ู ูุญูู ููุฏู ุตุ ุซูู ูู ููุดููููุนูููู ู ูููู ููู ููุญูุจููููู ูููู ุงูุดููููุงุนูุฉู ู ููู ุฃููููู ุงููู ููููุฉู ุญูุชููู ุฃูููู ุงููููุงุญูุฏู ููููุฌููโุกู ุฅูููู ู ูุคูู ููู ู ููู ุงูุดูููุนูุฉูุ ููููููููู: ุงุดูููุนู ููู
When it will be the Day of Judgement, He-azwj will Increase this One Mercy to the other ninety nine parts and be Merciful by it upon the community of Muhammad-saww and will Accept the intercession for those that they love to intercede with to the extent that one will come to a Momin from the Shias and will be saying, โIntercede for meโ.
ููููููููู: ูู ุฃูููู ุญูููู ูููู ุนูููููู ููููููููู: ุณูููููุชููู ููููู ุงู ู ูุงุกู. ููููุฐูููุฑู ุฐูููููุ ููููุดูููุนู ููููุ ููููุดููููุนู ูููููุ ูู ููุฌููุฆููู ุขุฎูุฑู- ููููููููู: ุฅูููู ููู ุนููููููู ุญูููุงูุ ููุงุดูููุนู ููู. ููููููููู: ูู ู ูุง ุญูููููู ุนูููููู ููููููููู: ุงุณูุชูุธูููููุชู ุจูุธูููู ุฌูุฏูุงุฑูู ุณูุงุนูุฉู ููู ููููู ู ุญูุงุฑูู. ููููุดูููุนู ููููุ ููููุดููููุนู ูููููุ ูู ููุง ููุฒูุงูู ููุดูููุนูโ ุญูุชููู ููุดููููุนู ููู ุฌููุฑูุงูููู ูู ุฎูููุทูุงุฆููู ูู ู ูุนูุงุฑูููููุ ููุฅูููู ุงููู ูุคูู ููู ุฃูููุฑูู ู ุนูููู ุงูููููู ู ูู ููุง ุชูุธูููููููโ
He will say, โWhat right do you have over me?โ He will say: โI quenched your thirst with water one day.โ So he will remember that and intercede for him. Another one will come and say, โI have a right over you, so intercede for meโ. He will say, โAnd what is your right over me?โ He will say: โYou rested for a while under the shadow of my wall for a while on a hot day.โ He will intercede for him for that. This intercession will not cease until it cover his neighbours and familiar people, for the Momin is more prestigious in the Presence of Allah-azwj than what you can imagine.โ[59]
VERSE 4
ู ูุงูููู ููููู ู ุงูุฏููููู [4]
Master of the Day of Reckoning[60] [1:4]
ุนู ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุนูู ุงูุญูุจูุ ุนู ุฃุจู ุนุจุฏ ุงููู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ) ุฃูู ูุงู ููุฑุฃ: ู ุงูููู ููููู ู ุงูุฏููููู
From Muhammad Bin Ali Al-Halby,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah-asws, that he-asws used to recite: โู ุงูููู ููููู ู ุงูุฏูููููโ โMaster (Maalik) of the Day of Reckoningโ.[61]
ูู ู ุฌู ุน ุงูุจูุงู ููุงู ุฑุณูู ุงููู ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ุงู ุงููู ุชุนุงูู ู ู ุนูู ุจูุงุชุญุฉ ุงููุชุงุจ ุฅูู ูููู ู โ ู ุงูู ููู ุงูุฏูู โ ูุงู ุฌุจุฑุฆูู: ู ุง ูุงููุง ู ุณูู ุงูุง ุตุฏูู ุงููู ูุงูู ุณู ุงุฆู
And Rasool-Allah-saww said: โVerily, Allah-azwj has Favoured me-saww with the โOpening of the Bookโ (Chapter 1) up to His-azwj Words Master of the Day of Reckoning [1:4]. Jibraeel-as said: โNo Muslim (Submitter) says this but Allah-azwj and the inhabitants of the sky ratify himโ.[62]
ูู ุงุตูู ุงููุงูู ุจุงุณูุงุฏู ุฅูู ุงูุฒูุฑู ูุงู: ูุงู ุนูู ุจู ุงูุญุณูู ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ุฅุฐุง ูุฑุฃ ู ุงูู ููู ุงูุฏูู ููุฑุฑูุง ุญุชู ููุงุฏ ุฃู ูู ูุช
In Usool Al-Kafi by its chain going up to Al-Zuhry who said:
โWhenever Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws recited Master of the Day of Reckoning [1:4], he-asws would repeat it so many times until as he-asws would almost be dying (collapsing)โ.[63]

The Imam (Hassan Al-Askari-asws) said: Master of the Day of Reckoning [1:4] โ โYes, He-azwj is Powerful enough to establish the โYawm Al-Deenโ, and this is the Day of Reckoning, and He-azwj is Powerful enough to Bring it forward or Move it back from its pre-Determined time, and He-azwj is the Master as well during that Day and will be Judging with the Truth. There will be no authority on that Day for those who used to be unjust and oppressors in the world from among the rulers, to issue orders like they used to issue in the world.โ[64]
VERSE 5
ุฅููููุงูู ููุนูุจูุฏู ูุฅููููุงูู ููุณูุชูุนูููู [5]
(It is) You we worship and You do we seek Assistance (from) [1:5].
ูู ู ุฌู ุน ุงูุจูุงู ูุงู ุฑุณูู ุงููู ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู: ุงู ุงููู ุชุนุงูู ู ู ุนูู ุจูุงุชุญู ุงููุชุงุจ ุฅูู ูููู โ ุงูุงู ูุนุจุฏ โ ุงุฎูุงุต ููุนุจุงุฏุฉ โ ูุงูุงู ูุณุชุนูู โ ุงูุถู ู ุง ุทูุจ ุจู ุงูุนุจุงุฏ ุญูุงุฆุฌูู
Rasool Allah-saww said: โAllah-azwj the Exalted Favoured me-saww by the Opening of the Book (Chapter 1). On His-azwj Words (It is) You we worship โ is the sincerity of the worship and You do we seek Help from [1:5] โ The worshipper seeks his needs by itโ.[65]

The Holy Imam-asws said: (It is) You we worship and You do we seek Assistance (from) [1:5] โ โAllah-azwj the Exalted Said: โSay! O creatures on whom I have Blessed with Bounties, (It is) You we worship [1:5]. O the One Who has Bestowed bounties upon us, we obey You-azwj sincerely with the pleading and the humbleness without showing off or for reputation.โ
ูู ยซุฅููููุงูู ููุณูุชูุนููููยป ู ููููู: ููุณูุฃููู ุงููู ูุนููููุฉู ุนูููู ุทูุงุนูุชููู ููููุคูุฏููููููุง ููู ูุง ุฃูู ูุฑูุชูุ ูู ููุชูููููู ู ููู ุฏูููููุงููุง ู ูุง ููููููุชู ุนูููููุ ูู ููุนูุชูุตูู ู- ู ููู ุงูุดููููุทูุงูู ุงูุฑููุฌููู ูุ ูู ู ููู ุณูุงุฆูุฑู ู ูุฑูุฏูุฉู ุงููุฌูููู ูู ุงููุฅูููุณู ู ููู ุงููู ูุถูููููููุ ูู ู ููู ุงููู ูุคูุฐูููู ุงูุธููุงููู ูููู- ุจูุนูุตูู ูุชูููโ
You do we seek Assistance (from) [1:5] โ We seek help from You-azwj so that we can obey You-azwj as You-azwj have Commanded, and stay away in our world from what You-azwj have Prohibited, and be safe from the Pelted Satan, and from all the Castaway Jinn and the humans, from the straying ones, and from being hurt by the unjust, and being Your-azwj Protection.โ[66]
ููุงูู ุงููุฅูู ูุงู ู ุงููุญูุณููู ุจููู ุนูููููู ุน: ููุงูู ุฃูู ููุฑู ุงููู ูุคูู ูููููู ุน: ููุงูู ุฑูุณูููู ุงูููููู ุต: ููุงูู ุงูููููู ุนูุฒูู ูู ุฌูููู: ููููููุง ยซุฅููููุงูู ููุณูุชูุนููููยป ุนูููู ุทูุงุนูุชููู ูู ุนูุจูุงุฏูุชูููุ ูู ุนูููู ุฏูููุนูโ ุดูุฑููุฑู ุฃูุนูุฏูุงุฆูููุ ูู ุฑูุฏูู ู ูููุงููุฏูููู ูุ ูู ุงููู ูููุงู ู ุนูููู ู ูุง ุฃูู ูุฑูุชูโ ุจูููโ
The Imam Hassan-asws Bin Ali-asws said: โAmir-Al-Momineen-asws said: โThe Rasool-Allah-saww said: โAllah-azwj Said: โSay You do we seek Assistance (from) [1:5] โ For worshipping You-azwj and obeying You-azwj and for Repelling the mischief of Your-azwj enemies and their plots, and staying upon what You-azwj have Commanded with.โ[67]
ูู ูุชุงุจ ุงูุงุญุชุฌุงุฌ ููุทุจุฑุณู (ุฑู) ุญุฏูุซ ุทููู ุนู ุงููุจู ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุขูู ูุณูู ูููู ูููู ูุงุตุญุงุจู ููููุง โ ุงูุงู ูุนุจุฏ โ ุฃู ูุงุญุฏุง ูุงูููู ูู ุง ูุงูุช ุงูุฏูุฑูุฉ: ุงู ุงูุงุดูุงุก ูุงุจุฏ ูููุง ููู ุฏุงุฆู ุฉุ ููุงูู ุง ูุงู ุงูุซูููุฉ ุงูุฐูู ูุงููุง ุงู ุงูููุฑ ูุงูุธูู ุฉ ูู ุง ุงูู ุฏุจุฑ ุงูุ ููุงูู ุง ูุงู ู ุดุฑููุง ุงูุนุฑุจ ุงู ุฃูุซุงููุง ุขููุฉุ ููุง ูุดุฑู ุจู ุดูุฆุง ููุง ูุฏุนู ู ู ุฏููู ุงููุง ูู ุง ูููู ูุคูุงุก ุงููุงูุฑุ ููุง ูููู ูู ุง ุชููู ุงููููุฏ ูุงููุตุงุฑู ุงู ูู ููุฏุง ุชุนุงููุช ุนู ุฐูู ุนููุง ูุจูุฑุง
In the book Al-Ihtijaj of Al-Tabarsyar, in a lengthy Hadeeth
(It has been narrated) from the Prophet-saww in which he-saww spoke to his-saww companions regarding the Words (It is) You we worship [1:5]: โYes, One only, and do not say what the Dahriyya (Eternalists) say: โVerily all things have no beginning and they are eternalโ, or like what the Thanawiyya (Dualists) who say: โVerily light and darkness are the two governing forcesโ, and not like what the Arab Polytheists say: โVerily our idols are godsโ. So we do not associate any one with You-azwj and we do not call upon anyone apart from You-azwj as God, just like these Infidels, and we do not say like the saying of the Jews and the Christians that there is a son with You-azwj. You-azwj are much Higher and Greater than all thisโ.[68]
ุนู ุงูุญุณู ุจู ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุงูุฌู ุงูุ ุนู ุจุนุถ ุฃุตุญุงุจูุงุ ูุงู
From Al Hassan Bin Muhammad Bin Al Jamal, from one of our companion who said,
ุจุนุซ ุนุจุฏ ุงูู ูู ุจู ู ุฑูุงู ุฅูู ุนุงู ู ุงูู ุฏููุฉ ุฃู ูุฌู ุฅูู ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุนูู ุจู ุงูุญุณููุ ู ูุง ุชููุฌูุ ู ูุง ุชุฑูุนูุ ู ุงูุถย ูู ุญูุงุฆุฌู. ู ูุฏ ูุงู ูุฑุฏ ุนูู ุนุจุฏ ุงูู ูู ุฑุฌู ู ู ุงููุฏุฑูุฉุ ูุญุถุฑ ุฌู ูุน ู ู ูุงู ุจุงูุดุงู ูุฃุนูุงูู ุฌู ูุนุงุ ููุงู: ู ุง ููุฐุง ุฅูุง ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุนููุ ููุชุจ ุฅูู ุตุงุญุจ ุงูู ุฏููุฉ ุฃู ูุญู ู ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุนูู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ) ุฅููู
โAbdul Malik Bin Marwan sent a message to the office bearers of Al-Medina that they should divert to Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws and to neither irritate him-asws nor intimidate him-asws, and fulfil his-asws needs for him-asws. And it was so that a man from the Qadiriyya[69] has come to Abdul Malik, and the entirety of those who were in Syria had been to him and he had tired all of them. So he (Abdul Malik) said, โThere isnโt for this one except for Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-aswsโ. So he wrote to the governor of Al-Medina that he brings Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-asws to him.
ูุฃุชุงู ุตุงุญุจ ุงูู ุฏููุฉ ุจูุชุงุจูุ ููุงู ูู ุฃุจู ุฌุนูุฑ (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ): ยซุฅูู ุดูุฎ ูุจูุฑุ ูุง ุฃููู ุนูู ุงูุฎุฑูุฌุ ู ูุฐุง ุฌุนูุฑ ุงุจูู ูููู ู ูุงู ูุ ููุฌูู ุฅููู
The governor of Al-Median came over to him-asws with his letter, but Abu Jaโfar-asws said to him: โI-asws am very old man, not strong enough upon the going out, and this is Jaโfar-asws, my-asws son, standing in my-asws place, therefore divert it to him-aswsโ.
ููู ุง ูุฏู ุนูู ุงูุฃู ูู ุงุฒุฏุฑุงู ูุตุบุฑูุ ู ูุฑู ุฃู ูุฌู ุน ุจููู ู ุจูู ุงููุฏุฑูุ ู ุฎุงูุฉ ุฃู ูุบูุจูุ ู ุชุณุงู ุน ุงููุงุณ ุจุงูุดุงู ุจูุฏูู ุฌุนูุฑ ูู ุฎุงุตู ุฉ ุงููุฏุฑูุ ููู ุง ูุงู ู ู ุงูุบุฏ ุงุฌุชู ุน ุงููุงุณ ูุฎุตูู ุชูู ุง
When he-asws proceeded upon the Umayyad, he disdained him-asws due to his-asws young age, and disliked it that he should gather between him-asws and the Qadiriyya, fearing that he would overcome him-asws. And the people at Syria had heard of the arrival of Jaโfar-asws to debate the Qadiriyya. So when it was the morning, the people gathered for their debate.
ููุงู ุงูุฃู ูู ูุฃุจู ุนุจุฏ ุงููู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ): ุฅูู ูุฏ ุฃุนูุงูุง ุฃู ุฑ ูุฐุง ุงููุฏุฑูุ ู ุฅูู ุง ูุชุจุช ุฅููู ูุฃุฌู ุน ุจููู ู ุจูููุ ูุฅูู ูู ูุฏุน ุนูุฏูุง ุฃุญุฏุง ุฅูุง ุฎุตู ู. ููุงู: ยซุฅู ุงููู ูููููุงู
So the Umayyad said to Abu Abdullah-asws, โThe matter of this Qadiriyya has exhausted us, and rather I had written to you-asws to gather between you-asws and him, for he has not left anyone with us except that he has debated him (and won)โ. So he-asws said: โAllah-azwj would Suffice us for himโ.
ูุงู: ููู ุง ุงุฌุชู ุนูุงุ ูุงู ุงููุฏุฑู ูุฃุจู ุนุจุฏ ุงููู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ): ุณู ุนู ุง ุดุฆุช. ููุงู ูู: ยซุงูุฑุฃ ุณูุฑุฉ ุงูุญู ุฏยป. ูุงู: ููุฑุฃูุงุ ู ูุงู ุงูุฃู ูู ู ุฃูุง ู ุนู: ู ุง ูู ุณูุฑุฉ ุงูุญู ุฏ ุนูููุง! ุฅูุง ููู ู ุฅูุง ุฅููู ุฑุงุฌุนูู
He (the narrator) said, โSo when they had gathered, the Qadiriyya said to Abu Abdullah-asws, โAsk about whatever you-asws so desire toโ. He-asws said to him: โHave you recited Surah Al-Hamd (Chapter 1)?โ He said, โI have read itโ. And the Umayyad said, โAnd I am with him. What is in Surah Al-Hamd against us? We are for Allah-azwj and to Him-azwj we are returning!โ
ูุงู: ูุฌุนู ุงููุฏุฑู ููุฑุฃ ุณูุฑุฉ ุงูุญู ุฏ ุญุชู ุจูุบ ููู ุงููู ุชุจุงุฑู ู ุชุนุงูู: ุฅููููุงูู ููุนูุจูุฏู ูู ุฅููููุงูู ููุณูุชูุนูููู ููุงู ูู ุฌุนูุฑ (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ): ยซููุ ู ู ุชุณุชุนููุ ู ู ุง ุญุงุฌุชู ุฅูู ุงูู ุนููุฉ ุฅู ูุงู ุงูุฃู ุฑ ุฅูููยปุ! ูุจูุช ุงูุฐู ููุฑุ ู ุงููู ูุง ููุฏู ุงูููู ุงูุธุงูู ูู
He (the narrator) said, โSo the Qadiriyya went on to recite Al-Hamd until he reached the Words of Allah-azwj Blessed and High (It is) You we worship and You do we seek Assistance (from) [1:5], and Jaโfar-asws said to him: โStop! Who are you seeking assistance (from), and what is your need to the assistance, if the matter was to you (as you are saying it to be)! They have faded, those who disbelieved, and Allah-azwj does not Guide the unjustโโ.[70]
VERSE 6
ุงูุฏูููููููุง ุงูุตููุฑูุงุทู ุงูู ูุณุชููููู ู [6]
Guide us to the Straight Path [1:6]
ู ุนููุ ูุงู: ุญุฏุซูุง ุฃุจู (ุฑุญู ู ุงููู) ูุงู: ุญุฏุซูุง ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุฃุญู ุฏ ุจู ุนูู ุจู ุงูุตูุชุ ุนู ุนุจุฏุงููู ุจู ุงูุตูุชุ ุนู ูููุณ ุจู ุนุจุฏ ุงูุฑุญู ูุ ุนู ู ุฐูุฑูุ ุนู ุนุจูุฏ ุงููู ุงูุญูุจูุ ุนู ุฃุจู ุนุจุฏ ุงููู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู )ุ ูุงู: ยซุงูุตุฑุงุท ุงูู ุณุชููู ุฃู ูุฑ ุงูู ุคู ููู ุนูู (ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู )
And from him, his father, from Muhammad Bin Ahmad Bin Ali Bin Al-Salt, from Abdullah Bin Al-Salt, from Yunus Bin Abdul Rahman, from the one who mentioned it, from Ubeydullah Al-Halby,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah-asws having said: โThe Straight Path is Amir-Al-Momineen Ali-aswsโ.[71]

And from him, from Muhammad Bin Al-Qasim Al-Astarabady the commentator, from Yusuf Bin Muhammad Bin Ziyad, and Ali Bin Muhammad Bin Sayaar, from their forefathers,
(It has been narrated) from Al-Hassan-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Musa-asws Bin Jaโfar-asws Bin Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws regarding His-azwj Words: [1:6] โุงููุฏูููุง ุงูุตููุฑุงุทู ุงููู ูุณูุชููููู ูโ Guide us to the Straight Path, said: โMay we remain being inclined to You-azwj, by which we obeyed You-azwj during our bygone days, until we obey You-azwj similarly in the future, in our lifetime.
ู ุงูุตุฑุงุท ุงูู ุณุชููู ูู ุตุฑุงุทุงู: ุตุฑุงุท ูู ุงูุฏููุงุ ู ุตุฑุงุท ูู ุงูุขุฎุฑุฉ ูุฃู ุง ุงูุทุฑูู ุงูู ุณุชููู ูู ุงูุฏููุงุ ููู ู ุง ูุตุฑ ุนู ุงูุบููุ ู ุงุฑุชูุน ุนู ุงูุชูุตูุฑุ ู ุงุณุชูุงู ููู ูุนุฏู ุฅูู ุดูโุก ู ู ุงูุจุงุทู. ู ุฃู ุง ุงูุทุฑูู ุงูุขุฎุฑุ [ููู] ุทุฑูู ุงูู ุคู ููู ุฅูู ุงูุฌูุฉุ ุงูุฐู ูู ู ุณุชููู ุ ูุง ูุนุฏููู ุนู ุงูุฌูุฉ ุฅูู ุงููุงุฑุ ู ูุง ุฅูู ุบูุฑ ุงููุงุฑ ุณูู ุงูุฌูุฉ
And The Straight Path [1:6] are two Paths โ A Path in the world, and a Path in the Hereafter. As for the Straight road in the world, so it is what is reduced (Takseer) from the exaggeration (Ghuloo), and higher than the reduction (Takseer), and mending of the ways. So do not amend anything towards the falsehood. And as for the other Road, so it is the road of the Believers to the Paradise, on which they are upon, not diverting from the Paradise to the Fire, and not towards anything other than the Fire, apart from the Paradiseโ.[72]

And from him who said,
โAnd Jaโfar-asws Bin Muhammad Al-Sadiq-asws said regarding the Statement of the Mighty and Majestic: Guide us to the Straight Path [1:6], โGuide us to the Straight Path, and Guide us to the road which is necessary to Your-azwj Love, and that which reaches Your-azwj Religion, and that which prevents us from following our own desires for we would be corrupted, or taking to our own opinions, for we would be destroyedโ.[73]
ู ุนููุ ูุงู: ุญุฏุซูุง ุฃุจูุ ูุงู: ุญุฏุซูุง ุนูู ุจู ุฅุจุฑุงููู ุจู ูุงุดู ุ ุนู ุฃุจููุ ุนู ู ุญู ุฏ ุจู ุณูุงูุ ุนู ุงูู ูุถู ุจู ุนู ุฑุ ูุงู: ุญุฏุซูู ุซุงุจุช ุงูุซู ุงููุ ุนู ุณูุฏ ุงูุนุงุจุฏูู ุนูู ุจู ุงูุญุณูู (ุตูู ุงููู ุนูููู ุง) [ูุงูโ]: ยซููุณ ุจูู ุงููู ู ุจูู ุญุฌุชู ุญุฌุงุจุ ู ูุง ููู ุฏูู ุญุฌุชู ุณุชุฑุ ูุญู ุฃุจูุงุจ ุงูููุ ู ูุญู ุงูุตุฑุงุท ุงูู ุณุชููู ุ ู ูุญู ุนูุจุฉ ยซ1ยป ุนูู ูุ ู ูุญู ุชุฑุงุฌู ุฉ ูุญููุ ู ูุญู ุฃุฑูุงู ุชูุญูุฏูุ ู ูุญู ู ูุถุน ุณุฑู
And from him, from his father, from Ali Bin Ibrahim Bin Hisham, from his father, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Al-Mufazzal-Bin Umar, from Thabit Al-Thumaly, who has said:
โThe Chief of the worshippers Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws having said: โThere is not Veil between Allah-azwj and His-azwj Divine Authority, nor any concealment between Allah-azwj and His-azwj Divine Authority. We-asws are the Gateways of Allah-azwj, and we-asws are the Straight Path, and we-asws are the Depositories of His-azwj Knowledge, and we-asws are the interpreters of His-azwj Revelation, and we-asws are the Pillars of His-azwj Oneness (Tawheed), and we-asws are the receptacles of His-azwj Secretsโ.[74]

In Man La Yahdhur Al-Faqih and in it is what mentioned Al-Fadhl from Al-Illal
(It has been narrated) from Al-Reza-asws who-asws said regarding Guide us to the Straight Path [1:6]: โThe Guidance to His-azwj Religion, and to be attached to His-azwj Rope and the increase in the recognition of his Lord-azwj Mighty and Majestic, and His-azwj Magnificence and His-azwj Greatnessโ.[75]

He said, โMy father narrated to me, from Hamaad, who has said:
โAbu Abdullah-asws regarding His-azwj Words: The Straight Path [1:6], he-asws said: โIt is Amir-Al-Momineen-asws and recognising him-asws, and the evidence to it that he-asws is Amir-Al-Momineen-asws are His-azwj Words: And surely it is in the Mother of the Book with Us, for Ali, a wise (man) [43:4], and it is Amir-Al-Momineen-asws in the Mother of the Bookโ.[76]

Ibn Shehr Ashob, from Wakiโa Bin Al-Jarahโs interpretation, from Sufyan Al-Sowry, from Al-Saday, from Asbat and Mujahid, from Abdullah Bin Abbad regarding:
His-azwj Words: Guide us to the Straight Path [1:6], he-asws said: โSay โ O group of servants โ Guide us to be on the Love of Muhammad-saww and the People-asws of his-saww Householdโ.[77]

And from Tafseer Al-Saโalby, a report of Ibn Shaheen, from his men, from Muhammad Bin Hayaan, from Abu Breyda,
(It has been narrated) regarding the Words of the High: Guide us to the Straight Path [1:6], he-asws said: โThe Path of Muhammad-saww and his-asws Progeny-aswsโ.[78]

In the commentary of Ali Bin Ibrahim, in Al-Mowthiq,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah-asws about Guide us to the Straight Path [1:6]. He-asws said: โThe way and recognition of the Imam-aswsโ.[79]
ูุจุงุณูุงุฏู ุฅูู ุฃุจู ุนุจุฏ ุงููู ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู ูุงู: ูุงููู ูุญู ุงูุตุฑุงุท ุงูู ุณุชููู
By its chain going up to Abu Abdullah-asws that: โBy Allah-azwj! We-asws are the Straight Pathโโ[1:6].[80]

In Usool Al-Kafi (a chain) going up to
Abu Jaโfar-asws who-asws said: โAllah-azwj Revealed unto His-azwj Prophet-saww Therefore attach yourselves to that which has been Revealed to you; surely you are on the Straight Path [43:43]. He-asws said: โYou-saww are on the Wilayah of Ali-asws and he-asws is the Straight Pathโ [1:6].[81]

Ali Bin Muhammad, from one of our companions, from Ibn Mahboob, from Muhammad Bin Al-Fazayl,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Al-Hassan Al-Maazy-asws (7th. Imam-asws) โ I asked him-asws about Is the one who goes prone upon his face better guided or he who walks upright is upon a Straight Path? [67:22]. He-asws said: โAllah-azwj has Struck an example of the one who is away from the Wilayah of Ali-asws to be like the one who walks upon his face, not being guided in his affairs and Made the one who follows him-asws to be upon the Straight Path. And the Straight Path [1:6] is Amir-Al-Momineen-aswsโ.[82]

Narrated to us Habib Bin Abu Thabit, from Saeed Bin Jubeyr,
(It has been narrated) from Ibn Abbas who said that, โThe Rasool Allah-saww said to Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws: โYou-asws are the clear way, and you-asws are the Straight Path [1:6], and you-asws are the Yaqoub-as of the Believersโ.[83]

In the book Kamaal-Al-deen Wa Tamaam Al-Neโma, by its chain going up to Khaysama Al-Juโfi
(It has been narrated) from Abu Jaโfar-asws in a lengthy Hadeeth and in it he-asws said: โAnd we-asws are the Clear Way and the Straight Path to Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic, and we-asws are the Favour of Allah-azwj upon His-azwj creationโ.[84]

From Jabir Bin Abdullah who said that,
โRasool-Allah-saww said: โVerily Allah-azwj has Made Ali-asws, and his-asws wife-asws, and his-asws sons-asws to be Proofs of Allah-azwj on His-azwj creatures, and they-asws are the Gateways of knowledge in my-saww community. The one who gets guided by them-asws, will be guided to the Straight Pathโ [1:6].[85]

And from him, from his father, from Al-Qasim Bin Muhammad, from Suleyman Bin Dawood Al-Munqary, from Hafs Bin Gayas who said:
โAbu Abdullah-asws described the Bridge (Al-Siraat), so he-asws said: โA thousand years of ascent, and a thousand years of descent, and a thousand years of walkโ.[86]

And from him, from Ahmad Bin Al-Hassan Al-Qataan, from Abdul Rahman Bin Muhammad Al-Husayni, from Abu Jaโfar Ahmad Bin Isa Bin Abu Maryam Al-Ajaly, from Muhammad Bin Ahmad Bin Abdullah Bin Ziyad Al-Arzamy, from Ali Bin Haatim Al-Munqary, from Al-Mufazzal Bin Umar who said,
โI asked Abu Abdullah-asws about the Bridge (Al-Siraat), so he-asws said: โIt is the Path to the recognition of Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic, and there are two Paths โ a Path in the world, and a Path in the Hereafter. So as for the Path which is in the world, so he-asws is the Imam-asws the obedience to whom-asws is obligatory. The one who recognises him-asws in the world and follow his-asws guidance, would pass by the road which is a Bridge over the Hell in the Hereafter, but the one who does not recognise him-asws in the world, his feet would slip from the Bridge in the Hereafter, and he would fall into the Fire of Hellโ.[87]

And from him, from Saโdan Bin Muslim,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah-asws, said, โI asked him-asws about the Bridge (Al-Siraat), he-asws said: โIt is thinner than a hair and shaper than the sword. And among them would one who would pass over it like the lightning, and among them would be the one who would pass over it like the galloping horse, and among them would be one who would pass over it like walking, and among them would be one who would pass over it like crawling, sticking. So the Fire would take some from it and leave someโ.[88]

And the Prophet-saww said: โWhen the Momin passes on the Bridge saying In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1:1], it would extinguish the flame of the Fire and it will say to him: โPass quickly, O Momin, for your light is extinguishing my Flameโ.[89]

And by its chain going up to Saโd Bin Tareef,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Jaโfar-asws who-asws said that Rasool-Allah-saww said: โWhen it will be the Day of Judgement, O Ali-asws! I-saww and you-asws and Jibraeel-as will sit upon the Bridge (Al-Siraat) and will not permit anyone unless he has with him a letter in which is a clearance by your-asws Wilayahโ.[90]

From Jabir Bin Abdullah Al-Ansari who said:
โThe Rasool Allah-saww said: โBe guided by the sun, if the sun is absent, be guided by the moon, if the moon is absent be guided by Al-Zuhra (Venus), if Al-Zuhra is absent, then be guided by Al-Faraqdayn (Two stars)โ. It was said to him-saww: โO Rasool-Allah-saww! What is the sun, and the moon and the Venus and the two stars?โ He-saww said: โI-saww am the sun, and the moon is Ali-asws, and the Venus (Al-Zuhra) is Fatima-asws, and the two stars are Al-Hassan-asws and Al-Husayn-aswsโ.[91]

The path of those You have Bestowed Bounties upon other than of those You are Wrathful upon nor of the straying ones [1:7]

In the book Maโani Al-Akhbar by its chain going up to

And from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Ibn Azina,
(It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah-asws regarding His-azwj Words: The path of those You have Bestowed Bounties upon other than of those You are Wrathful upon nor of the straying ones [1:7]. He-asws said: โThose upon whom is the Anger are the Hostile ones (The Nasibis), and the ones who have gone astray are the sceptics who have not recognised the Imam-aswsโ.[93]

And from him, from Al-Hassan Bin Muhammad Bin Saeed Al-Hashimy, from Furaat Bin Ibrahim, from Ubeyd Bin Kaseer, from Muhammad Bin Marwaan, from Ubeyd Bin yahya Bin Mahraan, from Muhammad Bin Al-Husayn, from his father, from his grandfather who said:
โRasool Allah-saww said regarding the Words of Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic: The path of those You have Bestowed Bounties upon other than of those You are Wrathful upon nor of the straying ones [1:7]: โShias of Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws are the ones upon whom He-azwj Bestowed the Favour of the Wilayah of Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws. He-azwj will not be Wrathful upon them, and they will not go astrayโ.[94]

And from him, from Muhammad Bin Al-Qasim Al-Astarabady the commentator, from Yusuf Bin Al-Mutawakkil, from Muhammad Bin Ziyad, and Ali Bin Muhammad Bin Sayaar, from their forefathers,
(It has been narrated) from Al-Hassan-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Musa-asws Bin Jaโfar-asws Bin Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws regarding the Statement of Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic: The path of those You have Bestowed Bounties upon [1:7], he-asws said: โYes, say, โGuide us to the Path of those upon whom You-azwj have Bestowed Favours, by the inclination to Your-azwj Religion, and being obedient to You-azwjโ.

And they-asws are those for whom Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic has Said: And whoever obeys Allah and the Rasool, these are with those upon whom Allah has Bestowed Favours from among the Prophets and the Truthful and the Martyrs and the Righteous, and a goodly company are they!โ [4:69]. And this has been narrated exactly like this from Amir-Al-Momineen-asws.

He (the narrator) said, โThen he-asws said: โThey are not the ones who have been Favoured by the wealth, and the health of the body, and all these are apparent Favours from Allah-azwj. You will see this with those who had become infidels or immoral. So what is their remorse that you are being called to be guided to their paths, but rather you are being called to be guided to the path of those upon whom is the Favour of the Belief in Allah-azwj, and the ratification of His-azwj Rasool-saww, and the Wilayah of Muhammad-saww and his-saww goodly Progeny-asws, and his-saww good companions, the chosen ones, and the good dissimulation by which you keep safe from the evil of the servants of Allah-azwj, and from the increase in the sins of the enemies of Allah-azwj and their infidelity, by hiding from them and their temptations to harm you and harm the Momineen, and by the recognition of the rights of the (Believing) brothersโ.[95]

In the book of Al-Tabarsy and narrated to us by its chains mentioned before, it has been mentioned from Abu Al-Hassan Al-Askari-asws from Abu Al-Hassan Al-Reza-asws who-asws said: โWhoever exaggerates with Amir-Al-Momineen-asws from that of a worshipper, so he is from those upon whom is Wrath (of Allah-azwj) and from those who have gone astrayโ.[96]

From a man from Abu Umeyr raising it in an unbroken chain to the Imam-asws regarding His-azwj Words other than of those You are Wrathful upon and other than of the straying ones [1:7] and this is how it has been Revealed, He-asws said: โThose upon whom is Wrath is so and so, and so and so, and so and so, and the Nasibis (Hostile ones), and those who have gone astray are the sceptics who do not recognise their Imam-asws.[97]
