Some Ahadith are presented here from Al-Kafi Vol. 4 related to the rewards of Salat and shortening it (Qasr):

Rewards of Salat:

Ali Bin Ibrahim, and someone else, from his father, from Khallad Al Qalansy,

(It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah-asws having said: ‘Makkah is a Harram of Allah-azwj, and a Harram of His-azwj Rasool-saww, and a Harram of Amir Al-Momineen-asws. The praying of Salaat therein is (equated) to a hundred thousand Salaats, and the Dirham (of charity) therein is (equated) to one hundred Dirhams.

And Al-Medina is a Harram of Allah-azwj, and a Harram of His-azwj Rasool-saww, and a Harram of Amir Al-Momieen-asws. The Salaat (prayed) therein is (equated) to ten thousand Salaats, and the Dirham (of charity) therein is (equated) to ten thousand Dirhams.
